The current way that you create new items in Essential Graphics is such that if you are repeatedly making the same thing over and over again you need to just have a sequence full of the things you want and copy/paste them. But it would be ideal to be able to creat an object or group of objects that are inherent elements (rectangle, text, ellipse) and set them as presets, similar to track height presets or bin view presets. Presets could exist in the project bins just like Text Styles do, so for those of us with super organized template projects every time you start your template it would include all of your Text Styles and Essential Graphics presets. A super simple use case would be this fullscreen black rectangle I put behind text when I am making placeholders that go above footage:
In PPro, a blank timeline is transparent, not black video. There's a weird thing with how alpha channels are dissolved in and out in PPro that creates this weird problem that we have been suffering with for YEARS. Try this experiment:- Blank timeline- Add a piece of video- Add one-second dissolves to heads and tails- Notice how it fades in and out smoothly at the very head and very tail of the clip?- Now add another shorter layer of video above the first, so that layer one fades in first and also continues past at the end.- Now add a dissolve transition to the head and tail of the video on layer two (to essentially create a transition from layer one video to layer two)- Notice how at the very head of video two, the second video layer appears to "pop" in, rather than gradually appears? (Same thing happens with title overlays)- Now compare this... On layer two, rather than adding the one-second dissolve transitions, go back and do a one-second opacity curve, where at the head, you do an
When filler words are searched for, I try to correct what has been mistranscribed. Sometimes, certain words are perceived as filler words, even if they are not filler words themselves. For example, names or normal adjectives are often considered filler words in certain dialects of English if they do not conform to whatever limited English it has been trained on.
PLEASE!! I have HOURS of captions and transcripts to go through each week, in Premiere and my computer screens are set for a high resolution for more effective editing. This has the unfortunae effect of text sizes visible in Transcription and Captions panels being very small--even with slider all the way up. Can you please allow even larger font sizes to be available?
In all Adobe Apps, we can find files by using the unified file brower provided by the OS (MacOS in my case). But in Premiere we have to use a dedicated ui for importing files, which, for me, is much less effective than the brower I am used to. (E.g. in MacOS, I can type a letter and the selector jumps to the files starting with that letter)Why not give the user the choice to use the OS filebrowser?
I notice that when I set my desired track height, in order for me to get everything in position, I have to click and drag the A/V divider, I would much rather have this as a scrolling function. If this exists, please educate me.
It could be very helpful to have Premiere generate AI Music based on a text prompt and in and out points for timing. The remix tool would come in very handy here. Take my credits! Please!
I’d like to report a limitation in the Program Monitor zoom functionality in both Premiere Pro 2025 releases.Currently, the zoom dropdown in the Program Monitor only allows preset values like Fit, 25%, 50%, 100%, 200%, and 400%. There’s no way to manually enter a custom zoom level (e.g., 300%), and shortcuts like Ctrl + = or the Zoom Tool (Z) don’t work as expected in the Program Monitor. Even trying to map zoom controls to external consoles like TourBox doesn’t produce reliable results. This makes precision masking and detailed frame-by-frame editing difficult, especially when working with low-resolution footage or subtle object edges. It would be incredibly helpful to have:Custom zoom input (e.g., type “300%” manually)Functional Zoom Tool behavior in the Program MonitorShortcut support for zoom levels beyond 100%Better integration with external hardware like TourBox
We should be allowed to remove the Generative Extend tool from the toolbar. In my field of work, if ANY A.I. video is presented to a courtroom or witness at a deposition, even if by accident, it can effect an entire court case (and potentialy lead to fines). While I understand the final line of defense is us making sure there is no A.I. that has been introduced during the editing process, sometimes these videos go through a lot of different hands with different levels of editors working on them. We have always been able to avoid any type of A.I. program from even being present by changing certain settings in the Preferences menu, but now we don't even have a choice to remove the very bright purple tool. Huge oversight by Adobe to try and force a normalcy of A.I. by forgetting there are fields that cannot under any circumstances use it.
It would be used ful to beable to search for multiple words in 1 search , my use case is to remove swear words, either being able to predifine a list via txt file or in settings , or just simply split by comma, search, cheese, dogThis would speed up editing workflow allowing multiple curse words to be lifted in 1 search rather than manually typing each time
I wanted to share an idea that I think would make life a lot easier for editors who constantly switch between vertical and horizontal formats. When editing for different platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Reels, Shorts, etc.), I often need to change the aspect ratio of my sequence from 16:9 to 9:16 — and right now, it’s a bit of a hassle. You have to go into Sequence Settings, manually swap the width and height, then fix scaling and reposition clips afterward. It would be awesome if there was a simple “switch arrow” button right in the Sequence Settings window — in the middle of the horizontal and vertical boxes where we set frame size (for example, between 1920 and 1080). Clicking that button could instantly flip the aspect ratio — from landscape to portrait or vice versa — without having to retype numbers.
As a power user of the text panel, specifically for creating closed captions on commercial spots, there is a serious misstep in how this thing works. I've detailed everything my video below. What I bring up:- Double clicking on text that has been changed from the default size reverts the editable text to the smaller, default size, making your lose your place as you are working- Working to edit the text pauses video playback- There should be a toggle for quicker access to editable text instead of needing to double click- The panel itself needs to be able to interact with your timeline a little more fluidly as we often want to adjust things on the fly https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/mkrl7g609w7ztj6zsblf8/250918_text-panel-idea-report.mov?rlkey=da56ltc088p0xy09hmmyrybse&dl=0
Premiere Pro color coded sequence tabs. I don't believe it exists, but it's something I would find emmensly helpful in speeding up recognition of open sequences and organization. Appreciate you. Thanks.
I noticed on the new beta, if you right-click a clip in the sequence, it now is condensed and many options have been grouped into categories: "video actions", "reveal, edit in", "New", etc. This is just plain confusing. It should be reverted back to how it was.. [title edited by mod]
I want duration to be displayed on clips in the timeline
I have a sequence made up of several sub/nested sequences:The timecode of the main sequence starts at 00:00:00:00. When I get feedback from a client saying "remove the shot at 00:07:11:03", I go to that timecode in my main sequence and open the nested sequence. The nested sequence has its own timecode, by default starting at 00:00:00:00, so finding "the shot at 00:07:11:03" becomes meaningless, because that sequence actually starts (in the master sequence) at 00:06:47:05. So, to make things tally up, I change the "start time" of my nested sequence to the same 00:06:47:05, which makes everything super duper. It would be nice if, in the "Start Time..." dialog box, if there was an option to "Inherit Parent Sequence's Timecode" to set the start time to whatever it is in the master sequence. Not sure if this start time should then auto-update if I then change the position of that sequence in the master sequence or not...I haven't thought it through that far yet!
A Remix tool for video would allow you to take a video on the timeline and drag it down to the desired length in order to condense it down to a few key moments/shots. You could use this on complete videos made up of many shots (in which case it would trim out a few shots that define the essence of the video. Or it could be used on a single shot, in which case it would locate the most interesting bit and generate your select. Good for highlight reels where your source material might be a bunch of 3-4 minute videos, and you just need a key shot or two of each. AI would be able to grab the essence of that video in 1-3 shots, for example. This will quickly allow you to get to a rough cut stage.
What I'd like to see is a "screen shot" command/kb shortcut. It would take a screen shot of the program window contents at full video resolution and park it on the clipboard, rather than saving it as a file. It would operate like Snipping Tool but without having to draw the area. Then the screenshot can be pasted into an email, document or slide without having to save and import.
I can open a Premiere Project with software guides/templates like "Social Media 9x16", "Instagram 1x1"," Tiktok 9x16" showing off the 3rd party app interface to make sure we do not cover the hot spots of the infernal app interface. Here's my problem: I am running a social campaign on a timeline. I was just asked to implement changes to upload to TikTok/Instagram/whatever it doesn't matter. There is no way to re-implement the guides and safe spots on this timeline without creating a new "Social Media Template" project entirely. Can we please get a graphical template library to load into any current project? Maybe in the "Graphics and Tiles" menu.... maybe in the "View" -> "Guide TEMPLATES" submenu?
When I put an Adobe Stock track into the timeline to preview it, if I choose to license it, it would be convenient and time saving to have Premiere overwrite it so I don't have to drag in the licensed version on top of the preview version. This is especially useful if I use the retime music feature in the Essential Sound panel. Because as of now I have to start over with retiming the track.
The processing of thumbs at each opening of the project is really distressing. I would like to have the option to save these metadata at disk for faster start.
Can you include dissolve effects in the next version? The fade out and fade in doesn't look as good when moving between clips. Thanks.
The "reveal in project" for a clip feature is great. I want to be able to select *multiple* clips & hit that button, but that's not an option currently.
When displaying bins in free format, the text is too small. I'd like it to be larger. I'd also like the sort order to be corrected.
I would like a function that allows me to repeat the last number I typed by pressing Enter on the numeric keypad.
