Set a rotation parameter (in 90deg steps) in one clip in a way that is applied before all other effects. Useful when the camera tagged the footage as vertical when its really horizontal and vice reversa.Lightroom recognises this problem and offers a shortcut to change rotation.Forums suggest a source clip transform effect. This is impractical for multiple reasons:Slow workflow, fiddly when wrongly rotated files are mixed clockwise and counterclockwise. On top of copy paste the deg. number has to be changed between -90 and 90. clips are not displayed correctly in source viewer not working together with other features like fit / fill frameI think two buttons in the source viewer, representing clockwise and anticlockwise rotation would be reasonable.
Please make rounded corners an option, or have squared corners where clips are touching the same line. I thought I was going crazy because my clips had tons of 1-2 frame gaps and I kept having to zoom way in to see them. Only to find out it's the new update. Cmon. I've been working in PPro full time for 20+ years. this is silly.
since as of right now adobe only supports 50 open clips in the source monitor, the best way to go through the footage i shout throughout the day would be to put the clips in a timeline, open it in the source monitor, and use insert and overwrite from there. sadly this workflow is overly complicated, since i can’t set my in/out markers with x like in the timeline window. since jumping between clips is possible with up and downarrow, it seems like some funktionality is already present.I consider this a key feature in a keyboard only workflow, which most professional editors use. current workaround. go to in → mark in → press downarrow to go to next clips → go one frame back → mark out.The other way i look through my footage is to open all the clips in the source panel, and cycle through them, picking what i like. sadly also this feature is limited, because i can open a max of 50 clips, making it tedious and errorprone, since there is the danger of missing clips when reselecting a new bat
This is the one and only setting I basically ever change when using the Export tab. Why is it all the way at the bottom?I know you're not going to ever revert back to the superior traditional Export window which allowed you to twirl down sections so this setting was always visible, but please at least move this slider to the top of this new design or something. I'm sure it's one of the most used settings when exporting for Premiere users and we'd greatly appreciate being able to quickly change bitrate! If that's too hard, then at least just put a twirl down button on each subsection like Basic Video Settings, Encoding Settings, Bitrate Settings, Advanced Settings, VR Video.
I get that you can draw a new circle by holding shift and then continue to increase / decrease the size while retaining the circle by holding shift. But I want to be able to have an imperfect circle (ellipse) that I’ve already created be able to turn back into a perfect circle. Like I’ve got some weird shaped ellipse and then by holding alt and dragging, it turns back into a circle. The Scale Height and Scale Width parameters could be changed to what is intuitive ie keeping 100% and 100% meaning its the same height / width (not what it 100%/100% resembling what you originally drew as its set up now) or by adding some new parameters added to allow you to revert back to perfect circle.
AV1 has been becoming a more and more popular codec for not just streamers, but also content creators and filmmakers. Video hosting platforms, such as YouTube, are now implementing AV1 as a way to easily stream video content to audiences at lower bandwidths. Filmmakers, and especially content creators, are asking for AV1 for creating high quality content without too much compromise for file sizes and ease of use when viewing. Having the benefit of AV1 video will help with preserving the best image quality at a much smaller and efficient file size than codecs like H.264. HEVC/H.265 is supported in Premiere Pro and it's a very nice codec. In fact, both HEVC and AV1 perform very similarly. However, it would be wonderful to have the flexibility of additional codecs that are gaining traction in modern media. HEVC isn't supported everywhere, largely due to their licensing slowing down adoption. Meanwhile, AV1 is open source, so it would be easier to adopt without the concern for li
I waste HOURS just fixing dumb quotes in transcriptions. It’s insane that your transcription AI thinks it’s 1995.This is the single hardest part of my workflow.
I have been a professional video editor for 20 years. I work daily on video commercials for some of the biggest brands in the world. In my 20 years of professional paid work, I have NEVER even once needed or wanted to use ‘auto bezier’ on keyframes. It is a completely useless feature that for some reason CONSTANTLY resets as the default setting when creating position keyframes. It’s a waste of time for it to default to ‘auto bezier’ everytime I create a position keyframe because I then have to right click the keyframes and convert them back to linear.1) So it should NOT ever change or default from Linear to ‘auto bezier’, unless I SPECIFICALLY click the ‘auto bezier’ option. (Which I never will)2) or there should be a global option in preferences to DISABLE auto-bezier so it can’t even be clicked. This would be great; because I hate auto-bezier so much. It has wasted thousands and thousands of mouse clicks and time over the years... I literally have a preset created in every project I w
After Effects has this option, and for good reason! Auto bezier leads to all sorts of unintentional movement. This is especially newb-unfriendly.This is Unique ID 148 on my spreadsheethttps://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dVJb7kI_ZETLavrplfARgn9gL8HUpvkq6A0jCPxqA3w/edit#gid=1133868629
As a cinematic video editor, I frequently use slow motion and stabilization together. Currently, Premiere Pro gives an error and forces us to Nest every single clip. Nesting hundreds of clips ruins the editing workflow, makes timeline management messy, and wastes a huge amount of time. Please update Premiere Pro so that the internal 'Order of Effects' handles Speed and Warp Stabilizer together automatically, without needing a Nested Sequence.
In Premiere Pro, Fit to Fill (Change Clip Speed) currently works when: loading a single source clip in the Source monitor and set In/Out, or loading a source sequence as a nest and perform a 4‑point edit. However, if “Insert and overwrite sequences as individual clips” while working from a source sequence (typical “reel” workflow), Fit to Fill is not available. To use Fit to Fill, I have to match‑frame back to the underlying clip in the source sequence, set In/Out again there, then perform the 4‑point edit from that original clip. That breaks the flow and ignores the In/Out I already marked in the source sequence. My common workflow: I build source reels as sequences (dailies, selects, etc.). I load those sequences in the Source monitor with “insert/overwrite sequences as individual clips” so I can cut pieces of those reels directly into the main timeline. Sometimes I want to do a Fit to Fill: I mark In/Out on the source reel and In/Out on the program timeline and expect Premiere
I've been using Premiere Pro for many years, and I genuinely love the software. It's still my primary editor because it's fast, reliable, and integrates perfectly with the Adobe ecosystem. However, I honestly feel that Premiere Pro is slowly falling behind when it comes to modern social media editing. The editing industry has changed dramatically over the last few years. Today, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok and Facebook videos are a huge part of professional video production. Unfortunately, Premiere still lacks many features that have become standard for this type of work. Some examples:Responsive text backgrounds with rounded corners. Individual background boxes for each text line instead of one large rectangle. Modern text animation presets for social media. Word-by-word caption animations. Better kinetic typography. More caption styles. AI-powered subtitle correction (too many words are still transcribed incorrectly). Better responsive text boxes. Easier creation of reusable
Please copy the After Effects “Render Queue” incorporating it into Premiere. Reason: helpful list of renders with links to the render's location on the drive. It's saved me many times.AE Render Queue with clickable links to saved drive locations.
Add support for editing with media remaining in place on external USB-connected drives (such as via the Files app) on iOS and iPadOS. LumaFusion is a great example of a iPhone/iPad app that allows this (as do Resolve and Final Cut on iPad)
The new masking tool in premiere is terrible. I’m so tired of adobe taking thousands of my dollars for their subscription based crap, and then implementing “updates” that no one asked for while there are bugs that haven’t been fixed for 10 years. With the new masking tool, I now have to double the amount of steps and triple the amount of time it takes to make a basic mask transition with a straight object passing through the frame. When I have keyframes ON and move the position/path each frame, it doesn’t create a new keyframe. I have to manually click it for EVERY. SINGLE. FRAME. This is ridiculous. You would think oh, the tracker can track a straight line across the screen? WRONG. If its slightly out of focus, like something in your foreground would probably be, it doesn’t even know what it is tracking. To make this ridiculous and stupid change and then to NOT have a legacy mode is even more stupid. Why am I paying adobe for this garbage? As soon as my subscription is up with adobe,
The feature request for Premiere Assistant to add adjustment layers directly onto the sequence aims to enhance the editing workflow by streamlining the process of applying effects and color corrections across multiple clips.Currently, editors often need to manually create and position adjustment layers, which can be time-consuming and disrupt the creative flow. By enabling Premiere Assistant to automate this task, users could simply specify the desired effects or adjustments, and the Assistant would create and place the adjustment layer in the timeline accordingly.
I recently updated to Premiere Pro 2026 and went to create a mask. To my surprise and confusion, there was no option to do so in the Effect Controls. So, after being forced to research it online, I finally found that masks were inexplicably moved to the toolbar. Annoying and unnecessary, but whatever. I went to try keyframing the mask path… and nothing happened. I then had to conduct further research online to find out that, for some reason, I have to right-click on the mask and assign it to “Opacity.” Another extra step that makes no sense. So, I figured that it should finally work. Spoiler: it did not. At this point, I was enraged. Ready to punch my monitor, throw my PC out the window, mere seconds from a crashout. What else could I possibly need to do to create something so simple as an opacity mask? After consulting the internet for the THIRD time, I found that I’m supposed to switch the mask from “Frame” mode to “Clip” mode. Unbelievable. What is it with Adobe and fixing stuff tha
Please add the Masks folder destination to the Project Settings - Scratch Disks panel so editors can control where it’s stored.Right now, having it auto-create in unmanaged locations: Creates unnecessary project clutter Disrupts organized folder structures Complicates backup workflows For those of us who maintain strict file hierarchies (especially in professional post-production environments), centralized media and cache control is essential. Every other major generated asset type can be directed — Masks should be consistent with that logic.Y’all - Please upvote so we can get this added!!
I would love premiere to have a list of featuresbloom effect halation effect object tracking and stabilisation - so that i dont need to go to ae to do the job depth map so that the background colors can be manupulated. the object masking tool creates a halo effect near the ears its not accurate Profession video de noiser or de grain
When i create a project in a certian directory, i edit the video and while exporting, I need to choose the directory again to save the video, it should bring in the directory path which i used to open the project in the export page automatically. Cause every edit file has a different directory for me. It will make my life easier.
Currently, when I create keyframes on an audio track in Adobe Premiere and later make timeline edits (such as trimming or rearranging clips), the keyframes remain fixed at their original positions. This often causes misalignment between audio adjustments and the edited sequence, requiring tedious manual corrections.A valuable enhancement would be to introduce an option similar to “Markers → Ripple Sequence Markers”, allowing users to choose whether audio track keyframes should maintain their relative timing and move with the edits (ripple) or stay locked to their original positions. This flexibility would greatly improve workflow efficiency when making structural changes after detailed audio adjustments. Example Use Case:When recording a voice-over and mixing “live” using submixes, it becomes extremely cumbersome to make changes later—such as closing a gap before an interview soundbite (O-Ton). Without ripple functionality, every keyframe adjustment must be manually realigned, whi
Dear Adobe Support Team,I am writing to request that Adobe Premiere Pro add support for WebM files in its video editing software. I have found it frustrating that WebM files are not currently supported in the software. WebM is a popular video format used by a lot of people on the web, particularly for online content such as YouTube videos.Currently, I am unable to import WebM files into Premiere Pro and edit them directly, which limits my ability to work efficiently and creatively. It would be very helpful if Adobe could add support for WebM files in the next version of Premiere Pro or through an update.I rely on Premiere Pro to produce high-quality content. The lack of support for WebM files makes it difficult for me to work with content that has been recorded or exported in this format. This has caused frustration and delays in my work, which could be avoided if WebM files were supported.I believe that adding support for WebM files would greatly enhance the user experience and h
Premiere desperately needs a more intelligent way of relinking media. Sometimes I need to quickly open a large project to look for something but I have to wait a full age of man before I can actually look at anything in my sequence because relinking is so ABSURDLY slow! Can we please have the option to relink only the media from a specific sequence and not the ENTIRE project. It's just one the many unnecessary slow downs, and all these little bottlenecks are by far the worst part of editing in premiere
I would like to request an improvement to the Trim Mode interface in Premiere Pro. Currently, when entering Trim Mode, the program monitor splits or provides a layout that feels cramped compared to Avid Media Composer.I want an option to automatically switch to a dedicated, large dual-monitor layout—similar to Avid's Trim Mode—where both the Source (outgoing) and Program (incoming) frames are displayed in full size across the screen. The current dynamic trim workspace doesn't provide enough visual clarity for precision frame-by-frame trimming on complex timelines. Having a native, spacious Avid-style trim interface would significantly improve the cutting workflow for long-form and narrative editors.Thank you for considering this request!
Please add the following settings1. Ability to disable zoom on the program window or change mouse scroll wheel behavior. While scrubbing on the timeline with the mouse wheel it's prone to accidentally moving the cursor over the video and unintentionally zooming causing a frustrating experience.2. Setting to disable the nodes on audio transitions in the sequence timeline. They make it more difficult to make edits in the timeline. Mod note: The title was changed slightly
