Feature Requests

At the moment you have to hover over a clip in the timeline to show its duration. It would be much more helpful if you could just activate it like the "clipname" for example so it is shown directly on the clip.

When recording voiceover directly into the timeline, have an option to select which bin in the project the clips are placed in. Currently they are added to the top level of the project window so you end up with Guide_VO1….Guide_VO23 in your bin.

For this feature where the gray dialog box appears whenever the mouse hovers over a clip, can we please get a setting to disable this? I understand its use for displaying clip information, but it's disrupting my editing workflow since it often covers audio waveforms and makes it harder to see cut points, and it becomes a real nuisance particularly in complex timelines with multiple tracks. Obviously it's as simple as moving the mouse away from a clip any time it happens, but this occurs very frequently and seeing this hover info over the timeline is something I rarely, if ever, have any need for.

It would be amazing if framerate could show up in the timeline clip hover popup box. It would be even more amazing if there were a bunch of options you could show or not show in the hover, so that the info displayed was always relevant to your editing style.  For me, I mainly want an easier way to determine the frame rate of a clip on a timeline. Used to be able to right click on the clip and click on properties to determine frame rate, so no need to show different panels or click around in premiere as it was just a right click away, but now properties has been removed from the right click popup. As far as I can tell there is no way to easily see the frame rate without having to show a different panel, like metadata or info, which either requires changing my workspace layout or clicking on different panels to reveal the needed info. This is a lot of extra clicks when I just want to know if I can properly change the speed of my clips. Other good options for framerate

Bring back the Source/Master Clip workflow to the new Color Mode interfaceI am testing the new Premiere Pro Beta, and while I like the idea of an updated color workspace, the current design breaks a vital professional workflow for long-form editors. When editing an hour-long sequence with tons of cuts on my A-roll, I need to color the original source asset once so that it automatically updates every single cut across the entire timeline without affecting my B-roll. In the old Premiere layout, this was easy using the "Source" tab in the Lumetri Color panel. The new Beta Color Mode removes this native Source/Clip toggle entirely. Forcing me to use the Effect Controls panel (which disconnects from the Lumetri Scopes) or manually group dozens of cuts is highly inefficient and creates unnecessary clicks. Please add a dedicated, native Source/Master Clip grading option directly inside the new Color Mode panel with fully integrated scope feedback before this moves out of Beta.

Some times I forget to plug in the cache drive and Premiere (and AE) automatically sets the cache to the internal drive, which forces me to go through preferences to set up the external drive cache again. This shouldn’t happen, and there should be a dialogue asking me to plug in the drive before setting it to the internal drive automatically.

Premiere pro needs a feature to automatically place markers on beats of audio tracks such as 1bar, 1/2 beat, 1/4 beat etc. Elements had this yet now it's gone and is an industry standard technique.

Allow us to assign a persistent target folder within the Project panel for .mogrts similar to Solids Folder in AE.Currently whenever you import a .mogrt from a library, a “Motion Graphics Template Media” folder is created at the top level of the Project panel. If you reorganize those files, rename/move the folder, or delete the folder and then import another .mogrt, the Motion Graphics Template Media is recreated at the top level again.

Duplicating a sequence or composition in the Project panel is done differently and yields a different result in PP & AE. While changing changing keyboard shortcuts to match should probably be left to user preference at this point, PP allows you to Right Click > Duplicate while this is puzzlingly missing from AE.Even stranger is how duplicating in PP results in “[Sequence Name] Copy [##]” but AE returns “[Composition Name] [#]” and automatically versions up if the name ends in a number. The AE result makes much more sense for professional workflows, and this could at least be a user preference if not standard behavior in PP.

The speech to text tool makes an awful lot of faults in french (idk for english) and it is just so bad/and so slow tu use.

Toggable overlays especially rotating for all formats, vertical square horizontal etc

Please add the Adobe sneak peaks app Frame Forward to Premiere Pro and After Effects. It seems like it would extremely useful in my attempt at restoring faded color movies. To my eye I can make an educated guess as to what the faded color in a film should be but manually rotoscoping and masking is too tedious. I could manually restore one frame in photoshop for frame forward to reference and propagate for the whole scene, and perhaps in other scenes if it could “learn” scene elements and their correct colors. Going beyond Frame forward perhaps there’s a way to make an ai system that can use known facts (I.e. color dyes used in 1930’s Kodacolor regular 16mm movie film, clothing dyes and colors of 1930 fashions, New England summer vegetation colors etc.).  This info could be added to the restoration recipe to come up with a best guess as to what the original look was. Automatically propagating still frame work done in Photoshop to a moving scene is a very useful feature.

Can you make a simpler and quick to use version of Premier (you are dumping Rush which was great). I work on a computer editing videos for Amazon and a tiny phone screen is not workable. I tried the online Express but its laden with childish templates and rubbish I don't need and only seems to support a single video lane.

Feature Request: Add Native Marathi Speech-to-Text & Auto Caption Support Summary Please add Marathi (मराठी) as a fully supported language for Adobe Premiere Pro's built-in Speech-to-Text and Auto Caption features. Marathi is a major Indian language with a large native-speaking population, yet Marathi-speaking editors currently cannot use Premiere Pro's native transcription and automatic caption workflow for Marathi audio. Requested functionality I request that Marathi support be added to the existing Premiere Pro Speech-to-Text system, including: - 🎙️ Marathi Speech-to-Text transcription- 📝 Automatic Marathi caption generation- ⏱️ Accurate word-level timing- 👤 Speaker detection/labeling, where supported- 🇮🇳 Proper support for Marathi Devanagari (मराठी)- ✏️ Full editing of generated Marathi captions inside Premiere Pro- 📤 Export of Marathi captions in standard formats such as SRT Ideally, Marathi should behave like the other languages already supported by Premiere Pro's Speec

At the moment Premiere identifies whether something is Voice, music, sfx etc. But what if you are working with mixed audio? Eg a mixed film/tv show (for making trailers etc). Adobe Podcast Enhance tool https://podcast.adobe.com/en/enhance does a pretty great job of separating the Synch from the background music/sfx. It would be even better if there was a tool that could split out a mixed track into audio stems (dial/music/sfx etc), and that lived within Premiere. THANK YOU

Hello Adobe Premiere Pro Team,My name is Felipe, and I have been working professionally as a video editor for over 15 years. Premiere Pro has been my primary editing tool for a long time, and it is an essential part of my daily workflow.I would like to share a feature suggestion that could significantly improve the editing experience for many editors. In the audio tracks, Premiere offers the Solo (S) and Mute (M) options, which make it very easy to isolate specific tracks or combinations of tracks. This is extremely helpful when working with complex timelines. However, in the video tracks, there is no equivalent “Solo” function.Currently, when working with multiple layers of video, the only way to clearly view a specific layer is to manually toggle the visibility (the eye icon) or temporarily disable other tracks. In more complex timelines, this can become slow and inefficient.A “Solo Video Track” feature, similar to the audio Solo function, would allow editors to quickly isolate one or

We send so many permission forms as every non-textbook material, every club, and every performance or trip requires through law that parents sign. Using Adobe Sign has streamlined this process with today’s tech-savvy parents and no lost, forgotten, or crumpled paper forms. However, when we have 2 parents for each child, we can assign the separate signature lines but we don’t want to send in specific signing order (we never know who will see it first plus district policy is to try to get both but require only 1 and no specific objection for student to participate), nor do we want to assign the student name text box to only 1 parent….if the 2nd participant signs the form but participant 1 doesn’t (current usage that is who we assign it to by forced message from Adobe when it is marked “any participant” --- won’t send and says we must assign --- This ends up with many forms with no student names attached and we have to try and match up emails and signatures and parent names that don’t mat

I'd like a feature I can turn on which will tell me if a clip in the timeline is already in use somewhere else. Ideally the clip would change color and also show me which timecode range is in use elsewhere in my timeline. Often with edits using B-roll, it can be easy to accidentualy re-use the same clip twice.

I'd like Premiere Pro to automatically analyse and index camera movement in source footage, making it searchable alongside the existing Media Intelligence results. For example, Premiere could identify: Static Pan left / pan right Tilt up / tilt down Push in / pull out Zoom in / zoom out Track/truck left / right Roll Handheld / unstable movement Ideally, the analysis would also retain useful properties such as direction, speed, magnitude and duration. This could then be combined with Media Intelligence queries, allowing searches such as:"Cars, slow pan right""Static wide shots of buildings""People, push in, longer than 5 seconds""All left pans"The semantic part of the search could come from Media Intelligence, while camera movement could be determined using conventional motion analysis.Premiere already performs sophisticated motion analysis for features such as stabilization and tracking, so much of the underlying technology appears to exist. Optical flow/global motion anal

I’d like to request that Adobe add Swahili (Kiswahili) as a supported language for Speech-to-Text and automatic transcription in Adobe Premiere Pro.Swahili is one of the most widely spoken languages in Africa, with more than 200 million speakers worldwide, including both native and second-language speakers. It is spoken extensively across East and Central Africa, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and neighboring countries. It is also one of the official languages of the African Union. For filmmakers, journalists, churches, nonprofits, broadcasters, content creators, and production companies working across Africa, the lack of Swahili transcription means we often have to manually transcribe interviews or rely on third-party tools before bringing captions and transcripts back into Premiere Pro.Adding Swahili would make Premiere Pro significantly more accessible to a rapidly growing community of African creators and would make workflows su

This is the one and only setting I basically ever change when using the Export tab. Why is it all the way at the bottom?I know you're not going to ever revert back to the superior traditional Export window which allowed you to twirl down sections so this setting was always visible, but please at least move this slider to the top of this new design or something. I'm sure it's one of the most used settings when exporting for Premiere users and we'd greatly appreciate being able to quickly change bitrate! If that's too hard, then at least just put a twirl down button on each subsection like Basic Video Settings, Encoding Settings, Bitrate Settings, Advanced Settings, VR Video.

The ease of identifying tracks in the timeline is very important. In the current situation, instead of the boundary line, I create a thin track. I also divide the tracks according to the type of telop. I think it would be very manageable if you could color the tracks.   Furthermore, when using many tracks, it is difficult to understand mute and solo with "switch only". I'd like to have a net mark like when the track is locked, or a visual cue for the entire track once it changes color.

For the sake of all that is Good and Holy on this Earth, please add SOMETHING that replaces the Dust and Scratches Tool in Premiere. With as many tools as you all have created in Photoshop and Lightroom, I cannont, for the life of me, understand why there isn’t some tool currently available that can easily hide / remove a dust spot from a video clip in Premiere. Please. Help us. Thank you.

Premiere Vers 25.2.3MacOS Sonoma, M1 Max, 64GB RAM Lots of people complaining about the new Dynamic Audio Waveform feature.  I find it annoying and have it turned off like many of you.  Problem now is, when I right-click a clip to adjust the overall audio gain of a clip in the timeline, the waveform does not change to reflect the gain change.  So for instance, if you have a recording that was recorded very low and you adjust the gain +15dB to a normal level, the waveform in the timeline is still minimized.  This is not helpful at all.  If you turn Dynamic Audio Waveforms back on, you can see the gain adjustment, but now you have all the annoyances of having it turned on, which makes things like editing audio clips super frustrating for a number of reasons.  Please set this back to the way it was before the new feature was added.  Thank you.
