I would like to have the playhead stay where I put it when performing edits in Premiere Pro, especially when zooming in/out. When zooming in/out the playhead always moves back to the center of the timeline regardless of where I position it, and regardless of the timeline scroll setting. (My scroll setting is set to page scroll.) For me, the expected behavior is that the playhead stays positioned and the timeline moves around it, since I manually positioned it. Ideally, the playhead position would not change with most edits or changes in view, because I want to edit where the playhead is positioned, and keep it positioned in the same place on the timeline. I can't edit as fast as I would like because I move the timeline/playhead to the left side of the timeline and when I zoom in to get a better view it scrolls the timeline so the playhead is centered, and I then have to scroll the timeline back to where I had it positioned. (Zooming out also does this, but it usually tak
If color coding needs to happen in the sequence, having these tied together can slow you down. Thanks.
When I apply default transitions on multiple mono tracks which are all linked together, I can't seem to adjust all the transitions at once - this significantly slows me down.Is there a simple solution that I'm missing? Premiere Version: 25.0.0Thanks!
As in subject - is there a way to sort Sequences in the Project Panel by the date created? I know I can do it with the footage - by adding a metadata column with the creation date, but I didn't find the option for sequences.Context - I reopen old files and I have problems remembering what was the last edited sequence. (now I have a better naming system with the dates)
Please Tell me its a simple process, i added a lot of compression and e.q. and reverbs to the audio Track (like all on track 1)im please with the sound so in the future edits of other projects i want to grab this presets onto other projects
Hello, just tried the Transcription options in Premiere Pro CC and is quite interesting, specially for generating automatic subtitles. Is there a chance you will support catalan any time soon? There are plenty of online IAs working with catalan already 🙂 Thank you very much!!
At the moment the action to scroll is blocked while selecting text in the text panel while text-based editing, this means you must drag your cursor up to scroll up which accelerates at an unpredictable speed and can easily select far too much text. I suggest unblocking the scroll action so users can click and hold then simply scroll at their own controlled speed to continue selecting up & down while also being able to move the mouse for precision selection.
1 - In the timeline the new FX button inside each video clip does not shrink with the timeline, so when the clip is small the FX button takes up the whole clip, and selecting the clip only transfers you to the FX panel. Which I can do manually if I need to. Infuriating and pointless. 2 - The Program window now Mouse Zooms like crazy with no way to turn this off. Equally infuriating and pointless. Please can Adobe fix these...
I think the UI has become cool, but1.I want each clip to look good.It would be nice if the user could control the option to increase the visibility of the outline of the clip.I wish I could choose from the outline creation, color, thickness, brightness, etc.2. I hope that each track will have a shortcut key set for the lock function. Also, it would be great to have a function that drags when you lock, mute, or look or drag it at once.3. I would like to turn on and off the option of the function that can be displayed when there is a blank space on the track.
Hi - with the latest updates I've notice for whaver reason (the new pre-added audio dissolves on clips maybe?) but the number of times when I'm dragging and moving a clip in my Sequence I ALSO / or INSTEAD drag the volume of the clip up or down. I'd love there to be a toggle per clip or per sequence - or in the master sequence settings an option toggle for 'Lock clip audio when dragging'. Also, the new audio dissolve controls means when editing I usually end up dragging the clip, or altering the volume of the clips either side of the edit, rather than adjusting the in/out point of the beginning of the dissolve. Any way to lock this feature, too? (in short if I'm editing or touching a highlighted audio dissolve there's almost NEVER an instance when what I'm intending to do is move the clip or change the volume of the clips - If that thing is highlighted I ONLY want to alter the in or outpoint of the dissolve. I'd love to have an option for 'LOCK CLIPS on DISSOLVE HIGHTLIGHT'
Add an "Upgrade Caption to Graphic" Button or shortcut in the "Text" window on the "Captions" tab. I have been using Premiere to quickly make captions for social media videos with "Transcript" and "Create Captions from Transcript". From the captions track, I then choose key captions to "upgrade to graphic" so I can have more control/options using graphic clips on the timeline by using the "properites" tab, adding effects, layering captions/texts, etc. Each time I have to select the caption on the caption track, I have to go to the "Graphics and Titles" menu and select "Upgrade Caption to Graphic". It would speed up my workflow if that option were available from the "Captions" tab on the "Text" window. In the same area as the "Add Caption", "Merge Captions", etc. area I think would be very convienent. Thank you!
So I went through an entire transcript identifying 6 separate speakers for a show, thinking- "clearly this will allow me to do something in the captions- to label them when they're off screen talking". But no. It doesn't. Have I overlooked something or is this just insanely crucial option missing?
A common issue I've seen here. When exporting a sequence from premiere the color shifts dramatically in the majority of playback programs. Quicktime, Vimeo, Youtube etc. VLC works fine but not everybody is using VLC. Makes for lots of wasted time on color grades. Comments from Adobe below This is an issue we (Adobe) are aware of. The best desciption of this issue is in this article and the related video: https://www.todddominey.com/2021/01/24/why-are-videos-washed-out-on-the-mac-exploring-quicktime-gamma-shift/ A feature for handling this issue - adjustable Viewer Gamma - has been added to Premiere Pro v24 and is explained in this documentation: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-ideas/quicktime-gamma-shift-prevent-color-shift-on-export-from-premiere-on-macos/idc-p/14186643. On Windows 10/11, even if you have dark mode enabled in Windows theme settings, it still leaves you with a white glaring title bar on the top of Premiere Pro and After Effects (pictured). I understand this is a technical limitation from Microsoft since their dark mode is wonky, not perfect (essentially just a lazy reskin of their white menus), and even broken in some contexts, but I think what Adobe devs could do is create their own title bars in-app similar to how Photoshop and Acrobat do, and that will give them the ability to color it independantly from Windows. With the onset of different OLED monitors becoming more common & mainstream in the near future, this would be a really helpful feature request as it can help avoid burn-in of pixels, and also cause less stress on the eyes for longer periods of work.Presently, the only real way to get dark title bars in these applications is to use third-party Windows customization software and themes, which pose a major risk to

My big idea is to have the source panel have the option to "free play". Often, I'm previewing music or sfx tracks in the source window and I'd like to scrub through sequences/ edits to see if the music will fit the raw footage. Why is this not a feature? It would be a simple button on the bottom or a setting in the wrench in the source panel. Thanks.
When an image is dragged from an outside folder (i.e., Images) onto the timeline, have that be the active clip, instead of another, so when features are applied, we are not inadvertantly adjusting a clip that is not showing in the Program window that is not to be modified--obviously--because if I had wanted to edit its features, I would have been viewing it in the Program window!) Thanks!
I will start with I almost always export from source in/out, and that possibly doesn't matter here. However, if I leave the playhead at a certain point on the timeline, will that be the "thumbnail" frame? If not, could that be a possibility? Not sure if that could be a metadata feature so you could control that functionality. Currently, our team uses OneDrive and SharePoint for client delivery, where everything is controlled by the company. The process of selecting thumbnails is attrocious on our company network., and having that ability to select the thumbnail upon export, would be super clean. Alos, we have met with people within adobe, to talk about enterprise Frame.io so this would be a big win for our team! ...all of this over thumbnails lol
The ability to use the Automate to Sequence function via source timecode would be a great and easy way to produce sequences based on source clip timecode. This would be especially handy for creating sync maps, rather than using the existing method which involves creating multicam timelines. Having this feature work on audio only files as well would be very welcome.
Puuuufff comprad film impact o desarrollarlas vosotros ¿¿¿¿¿Pq no poneis transiciones?????
A couple features I would love to see included in premiere pro. Sorry if they are already in there and I cannot seem to figure it out. Would love to hear how to access them if they are indeed available. Not interested in third party plug ins - want to see these features native. DEFAULT SORT ORDER OPTIONS - I think this is a very simple feature that would help me out a lot. From what I can see there is no option to choose a default sort order on files. My current default sort order under list view is "frame rate" and under the thumbnail view it is "user order". These two options make no sense to my work flow. Often times I'm going through my clips and pulling footage onto the timeline and I realize my clips are not sorted correctly - because I forgot to manually choose my sorting order (which I have to do every time). It creates a bit of a workflow nightmare. I would love the option to just have clips sorted by their name at default. I dont want to have to click it every time
After the latest update (also in Beta version) the right click context menu got very long (when you right click on a clip in the timeline). I use "Reveal in Project" a lot but it's so low down now that I have to click on the scroll down button first, then I can see the feature I want. Is there a way to control what is shown on the context menu? I'm using 25.1.0 BETA. Windows 10 (Same happens on Windows 11)
It would help a lot of people if you could assign a keyboard shortcut to a pre-configuration or effect in the "effects" tab.It would also have to work for user-created preconfigurations. This would make it possible, for example, to stabilize a rush with a single keystroke.
