Hello everyone, Hope your all doing good. From my time in premiere which I have used since 2015 and though my professional career. Since I left Film school back in 2022 which is almost 3 years ago now. I have noticed some stuff that really Bug me And I want I have some surgessions. I edit alot of youtube videos and Client projects such as interviews. 1. Remove previous cut points when ripple trim previous edit and next edit to playhead with J and L cuts I've noticed that since I edit with lots of J and L cuts in my edits that when I press Q on the Keyboard which is set to ripple trim previous edit to playhead it adds another cut; When I press Q or E for the same shortcut ripple trim next edit to playhead. and Means I have to cut the clip out which I find is annoying when your editing a interview and have a small extra clip. If you can remove that, I would be very thankful cause I have noticed this in many versions of premiere 2. Essential sound Pan
Dear Adobe Team, could it be possible to integrate bin view presets and different timeline view presets into workspaces so they can be safed within custom workspaces. Depending on the workspace I would like to save a timeline view preset and bin view preset within a workspace. I want that feature so one could better focus on the work at hand by only clicking once a custom workspace keyboard shortcut without additionally dialing in bin view and timeline view presets. Would be more efficient. For professionals a straigt forward UI configuration should be the goal. That would'nt even conflict with the 'mousy-icon-fancied' beginners approach of the UI, but would justify the professional image Adobe is selling with Premiere Pro. Another thing that irritates me is that after a workspace change the selected window changes. Could be an option in preferences to check whenever you change a workspace the selected window (timeline for eksample) should be kept. Or every wor
I really need the ability to see source clip label colours rather than the multicam group label colour when editing multi camera sequences. I often have footage from more than one night / performance synced together and need to be able to see quickly which night the shot is from and therefore whether the sync is cheated or not and whether to look out for continuity at the edit points.
I Would love you to update that...
My team is currently working in a massive Premiere Production, and it's peforming flawlessly. We have our Productions Folder structure set up to operate like a simple Kanban board, where Premiere Projects (by deliverable) move from one step of the process to the next by physically moving from one folder to the next. This works great at a small scale, but we're up to hundreds of projects, and it's getting difficult to sift through. What works:- Searching the Production in the search bar reveals the project that I'm looking for. I'm able to then open the project and operate on it in-place. The project also stays highlighted in the filtered Productions Panel. What's weird:- I can't pick up and move the project from within the filtered view. I can Move it to Trash, but I don't want to do that.- When I clear my search, the project is no longer highlighted in the Productions Panel, meaning I've lost it in the sea of files once again, and have to go looking for it based on the folder struc
In addition to creating captions from Premiere's transcript, we should also be able to convert a transcript into sequence markers.Marking sequences with dialogue has been a very well known and powerful tool. However it has mostly always been done manually. The text panel got us close, but the connection between the text window and sequence window is not as tight/easy as the connection between the markers and the sequence panel. Clicking the arrow up/down is slow, the playhead will sometimes move mysteriously if I try and copy a part I want to use, etc; but markers work. The data is there, we just need to be able to convert it. There is a 3rd party tool that already does this, however it can be clunky and doesn't always work because of some scripting issues. In fact, they had AI transcription inside of Premiere first, but at this point Adobe should close the circle and provide the tools that made the other program so powerful. Currently I'm already placing markers after finding lin
In After Effects, Time Remapping is quite logical: set a keyframe in the clip, and tell what frame should show at that time - everything in between keyframes is interpolated accordingly. But, unfortunately, Premiere Pro messes with this principle: it kind of allows to set 'Speed' keyframes, which are not actually editable. Sure, Time Remapping can change speed, but the keyframing should be about, yes, Time. (Otherwise it should be called Speed Curve or whatever). So please, make it possible to do Time Remapping After Effects-style: keyframes that link a source frame (time) to a destination frame (time).
It's not a bad idea to have a "revert" button, but it nearly gives me a heart attack when I almost accidentally click it while I'm trying to click "Save All" which is right above it. Please put a little distance between these buttons. Thank you.
I know everybody edits differently, but I would have thought having an in/out point in your sequence would have, in modern editing, meant you have specific part of your sequence you want to edit. Why would PP's new Export bar default to Entire Sequence every export? How can I change this back to what it was before?
Hi, I would like to request the following 2 features. Feature Request 1 In the timeline, the ability to select the jumping sequence of the playhead. When jumping the playhead, it will stop at only the following locations which are selected ...(yes/no) At the Beginning of each audio clip (yes/no) At the Beginning of each video clip(yes/no) At the End of each audio clip(yes/no) At the End of each video clip(yes/no) At each Marker on clips(yes/no) At each Marker on the timelineAt minimun, the option to only jump the playhead from the beginning of each audio clip to the next without stopping at the end of each audio clip in between. Feature Request 1In the timeline, the ability to keep the playhead playing while jumping from clip to the next. Currently, when you are playing the playhead, if you jump it to the next clip, it automatically stops and you have to press play again, which can slowdown your workflow. So, I'm requesting the ability to keep the playhead play
Wouldn’t it make sense to ask Adobe to integrate after effects into premiere, same as fusion is integrated in davinci resolve, since AF is also used for compositing. That’s much more reliable that the mostly broken dynamic link, & also less destructive since over in davinci land you don’t have to replace footage with fusion comp, so if you need to do any adjustments later your footage will be as intact. also the trips between the pages are instantaneous.
The problem of the Fx badge narrowing the display area of the audio waveform is a problem that should be fixed.1.Place a clip on the audio track of the timeline.2.Change the width of the audio track of the timeline.Result→The display size of the audio waveform changes depending on the width, but the width of the change is not constant!(The Fx badge gets in the way)→This makes the waveform difficult to see, which has a negative impact on editing.SolutionIf you turn off the display of the Fx badge, the width of the change becomes constant.→This is putting the cart before the horse, so I would like it to return to the previous state where there is no effect on the waveform.
Hi there! My name is Carlos Capio, and I'm a passionate newcomer to the world of video editing. Despite my enthusiasm, I often find myself overwhelmed by the vast array of tools and features in Adobe Premiere Pro. I haven't had formal training in video editing, and while there are countless tutorials on YouTube, I sometimes feel lost and frustrated. That's why I believe an AI chatbot integrated within Adobe Premiere Pro could be a game-changer for people like me.My Story:When I first started using Adobe Premiere Pro, I was excited but quickly realized how steep the learning curve could be. Simple tasks like sharpening a video or creating smooth transitions took hours of searching through tutorials and forums. I often didn’t even know the right terms to look up! This constant back-and-forth between the software and external resources was draining and time-consuming.I recently came across a tool called Klutz GPT, which can assist with editing tasks, but it requires a third-party integrati
This feature request was posted in the discussion forum, but as far as I can tell, it was never posted in the ideas forum. Essentially, the request is to provide separate sliders for text background width and height in the essential graphics panel. Currently, there is only one slider (circled in red) to control both width and height, but the horizontal width is often too small and it would be very useful to be able to control it independently. The only workaround I've found is to add an extra space at the beginning and end of each line of text, which for obvious reasons is not a great solution. Original discussion here:https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/subtitles-appearance-background-size-how-to-unlink-height-and-width/m-p/13050228
Why does horizontal movement no longer exist in essential graphics? But only the vertical one
Hello can we have a double click on different sequence on timeline tabs to change, I keep changing by accident with the one click when I'm editing rapidly and ruins my flow 🙂
Words being clipped at the end sound bad, and misidentifying filler words is bad. Also, deleting filler words if only pauses are selected to be deleted is bad. Filler words aren't always bad in some African dialects of English, as intonation needs to be heard to follow along and understand. Why isnt African or Caribbean English part of the transcription languages, just the the text correction phase? Please fix this.
Premiere Pro 24.3Mac OS Ventura 13.6.6When exporting a SRT file through the Caption panel's three dot menu, there is no ability to select whether text styles should be included, and the default behavior is that the text style is included. This results in HTML-style tags being visible before each line of the subtitle text, when the SRT file is played back in most online video players. In the standard video Export function, or when exporting via Media Encoder, there is a checkbox under Captions that allows you to turn off the text style tags for the SRT sidecar file. This is crucial, because otherwise, any applied style information will appear as HTML-style tags on each line of the text, and most online video players that can accept SRT format will not automatically remove these tags; they just see them as part of the subtitle, and displays (what appears to the viewer to be) garbage text before every phrase. However, the Caption panel does NOT offer this, and thus exports only
Do we knwo if there will be an update to Premiere Pro to be able reflect Chapter Markers made with the recent update to OBS 30.2 in timeline as soon as we finish recording in OBS?Thanks for your assistance.
Long form editor here using V.24.5 I use audio transitions at different lengths for just about every edit. I find it frustrating that I can only apply 1 default transition at a specified duration. I am constantly using durations of 1, 2, 5, 15, 20 frames. I’m suggesting that we make a feature so when I use my keyboard shortcut for the default transition that if I hit it twice in a row it would auto bring up the duration and ask beginning, center or end of the cut.Double clicking, dragging, zooming in, clicking in the effect controls is not efficient. This doesn’t seem like it’ll eat up time but add it all those clicks, drags and zooms and they add up.Thanks,Adam
When you add an adjustment layer containing LUTs above clips stabilized with warp stabilizer, those clips need to be analyzedAdobe Premiere Pro does not flag this clips, and you may have problems with the export.
Since merge clips aren't currently advised, I am begging for the same kind of functionality that Avid has to "Autosync "multiple camera clips to a single audio track. This is crucial for documentary/reality shoots where audio rolls for a very long time, and cameras start and stop. What this functionally does is:Match multiple camera clips to an audio track and creates a new multicam clip for each instance.Example: Let's say you have camera clips A001, A002, A003, A004, and they all sync to different points with Audio Clip 1. Right now, this syncs all the clips into *one* multiclip in ascending track order. This suggested "autosync" functionality would instead create a seperate multicam/group clip for each new camera clip that matches the the audio track. It would also automaticlaly truncate those clips to whatever is shortest (the vast majority of the time this is the video clip). Also very much need a way to be able to assign camera labels to Proxy Media when it is not
Hello, I have been having some problems displaying my LUTs. I have them added to the correct folder but the dropdown menu only shows a limited number. I have reinstalled the program, removed and reinstalled the luts, cleared the cache, everything, and i still can not get the full list of luts in my dropdown menu. What is strange is that at the end of the drop down list, i can select the last one and use the arrows in the preview box to see othr luts, but i cant access them via the drop down. This is quite frustrating as it is a relatively recent problem and it makes my editing difficult as i work with numerous underwater luts, and due to the nature of the alphabetical listing of luts, it takes me ages to get to the lut (via clicking the arrow for several minutes) i am interested in looking to use. I have seen other people report this issue and i cant seem to find a solution. Please help. OS X Sonoma 14.5 Premiere pro version 24.5 M
When you open a file in the source panel, Premiere displays "Source:" + the full filename in the tab. When you have files with long names, it crowds the other tabs out and you have to click the >> button to get the option to select other windows, like Effect Controls. Its particulary a pain when working on a single laptop monitor with limited space. An option/feature to limit the space the source panel tab can take up would be amazing. Thanks!
Man, If y'all could do that, it would be a boon to documentarians and corporate video producers. Sometimes you just need a little chuckle at the end of an interviewee's sentence to really make an idea land --being able to find those moments with ease so one could cut in a little somethin'-somethin' would be great. THANKS!
