Is anyone else having issues with the latest Premiere update - specifically the audio handles that automatically appear on the audio track now and the effects are now 'clear'? (I understand the purpose of the handles, but I have no need for them the way I edit. I don't understand why the effects are now clear making them harder to identify though).1. If you add an audio transition to an audio track, it becomes very difficult to delete the transition. I use the fade transition on audio all of the time, but it's now very difficult to select the transition if you want to delete it. When you try, it only selects the track and deletes the track. I noticed the transitions now appear 'clear' and maybe that's part of the problem. Double clicking the transition to change the parameters is a little easier, but delting them is difficult.2. Does anyone know how to turn off the handles? Often I try to grab the audio track and move it, and instead accidentally select the handle and start changing th
As a video editor working on a long-form documentary with extensive footage and numerous interviews, I often need to manage and track the segments of clips I've used across various sequences. While the current feature that shows how many times a clip has been used is helpful, it can be improved to better suit my workflow, similar to how Adobe Prelude functioned.Proposed Feature: Enhanced Clip Usage TrackingPurpose: To provide editors with a comprehensive tool that prevents accidental reuse of clip segments by clearly indicating where and how each segment of a clip has been utilized across a project. Key Features Detailed Usage Tracking:• Display the specific segments of a clip that have been used in various sequences.• Indicate the IN/OUT points of each segment within the clip. Interactive Hyperlinks:• Allow users to click on usage instances, which will act as hyperlinks, taking them directly to the IN point of that clip in the specified sequence. Integrated GUI:• O
We often need to collect the project for transfering or archiving purposes. When collecting - all assets will be collected in one folder which is a bit messy....it would be great if files can be collected in 2 ways:- following the Premiere project bin structureOr- following the folder structure on hard driveThat would help us a lot in keeping the collected projects organized.
Often, if I need to cut or extend a portion of my video and I know I already created a frame hold somewhere within it, It would be so much easier to know where that frame hold was at a glance so I can extend or shorten that. But it's named the same and is created in the same color as the original clip. So it's impossible to find without watching the whole thing.
This request is so simple, it truly is a no-brainer! In After Effects, when opening a Color Picker window, the Hex field is automatically selected by default, making it easy to paste a new Hex code in a single step. In Premiere Pro however, the Hex window isn't automatically selected, meaning that pasting a Hex code requires 3 steps: 1) Select Hex code field2) Select all of the characters in the field for overwriting3) Paste new code The way it works in AE is so convenient that it would be great to see the same intelligent, forward-thinking design applied to Pr!
As I go through the transcript, half of the time is spent on spelling and word correction; the other half is correcting the AI on where the sentence has to end. It chooses random small pauses and larger ones. I wish, in either case, the AI can get better faster. What other AI, like Grammarly, does well is telling me where the punctuation needs to go. Please implement that first. For instance, when I put a full stop in. Why not automatically place a capital letter after that or on the next part, when I press enter and vice versa, adding a full stop before a phrase after I add capital to a Noun or a verb, and don't do that for detected proper nouns or Names. I that is added first, then focus on other things like parts of speech and where the comma goes in a sentence.
Hi, in timeline there are shortcut-options for zoom in/out in timeline. While editing I often have to check things with a closer look whithin my timeline. So I zoom in/out - 3x keystrokes in, than check, than 3x keystrokes out. Alternatives are 'zoom on frame' ( 1x keystroke) and sometimes in reverse usage 'zoom to sequence' (1x keystroke). Zoom on frame is for my needs to close in most cases. That again results in multiple keystrokes - 'Z' /zoom on frame (1x keystroke) and then zoom out (1x - 2x keystrokes). So no real efficiency here. My request would be to have an option to define the zoom level for 'zoom on frame' for example in preferences. So that this shortcut has a custom predefined behaviour and could save me many many keystrokes a day. What do you think about it?
When I go to upload the active sequence into a folder 2 subfolders down from the root of a project on frame, the upload goes fine, it's added to the version stack fine, but the asset does not update appropriately without clicking the reload icon which kicks me back to the root of the project Steps describing how to encounter the bug.1. Navigate to the subfolder for the active sequence to upload2. upload active sequence using a custom media encoder setting which includes a watermark and timecode burn-in3. let the encode complete, the upload complete, and the cut be added to the version stack4. notice the version stack does not show the new cut.5. opening the latest cut in the frame.io panel does not show the new cut nor is it in the version stack6. go to app.frame.io to see that the latest cut is in fact there and at the top of the versions stack7. refresh the frame.io panel and get kicked back to the root of the project8. navigate to the subfolder with the cut and see t
When I have my program monitor set to show transparency grid it does not work (shows black) when I am on a 4k timeline zoomed to 125 with the y coordinates set to anywhere between 390 - 400. It suddenly works correctlyt at 389. There are other combinations where it doesn't work as well but I figured I would start with this. I am wondering if anyobne else has this issue?
I work a lot on historical video projects (Year in review), working with dozens or hundreds of clips in a timeline. I would like to display the date that a video file was created in my finished product, but to look up the date that each clip was created adn then create a title for each would take an extraordinary amount of time. Can the Metadata & Timeline burn in effect include a "clip creation date" display option? Also, since the title would be part of a finished video project, I would liekt ohave the option of creating titles that are appealing: being able to edit the font, stoke, drop shadow, leading and kearning etc. Is that possible to add to the metadata & timeline burn in effect, or is there already a mean to create my desired effect? Thanks
please remove the clickable buttons on the audio tracks (the waveform button and fx button). these were not clickable on the last version. and it makes it really tough to grab clips and drag then elsewhere or copy and paste them if that button is acidentally clicked. I cant emphasize enough how much of an inconvience this add is. I cant tell you how much this hinders the process of moving clips around quicker/quickly. It gets in the way.
I've got a simple request: can you please include the menu option Sequence > Close gap in the context menu as well? I frequently edit quotes by throwing away the parts I don't use and simply lassoing the remaining clips on the timeline and then hitting the right-click > Close gap would be much easier. Right below Ripple delete in the first section would be a great position for this.
In production mode:Having an "Open as read only" option when opening a project would remove an unnecessary step for every projet you have to open read-only to let other users modify them. Currently it opens as read only automatically when the project is already in use, but default to read-write otherwise. We are then forced to change the status of of each opened project one by one and loose time waiting for it to reload again.
Hi everyone,I’ve been using DaVinci Resolve recently and noticed a feature that is incredibly useful for creating sizzle reels or highlight compilations, which I think would be a fantastic addition to Premiere Pro—or perhaps there's a workaround I'm not aware of.When I import all my footage from several days of shooting into DaVinci Resolve, there's a feature where I can select several folders with footage while holding the Shift key, and it automatically displays all the clips for me. This makes it really easy to review and mix footage from different days, allowing me to create a comprehensive stringout without having to manually sort or arrange clips. In Premiere Pro, I understand there’s a search bin feature that might offer a similar solution? It would be amazing if Premiere Pro had a feature where I could just select multiple folders or bins, and have all the footage placed together for quick review and selection. Is there an existing workaround in Premiere Pro that achieves this? P
How it is right now: If you want to zoom in on a timeline, you press Alt+Scroll. If you want to move timeline left/right to go over your project, you just Scroll. How I want it to be: Scroll to zoom in, Alt+Scroll to move left/right (reversing keys) From my experience, zooming in is much more important than just moving left/right. I recorded myself editing and 80% of the time I would zoom in, and 20% move left/right. I say we change that and prioritize zooming in. Alt Scroll is a relatively hard combination. You need to stretch your thumb in a way that leaves your left hand disjointed from the keyboard and then you need to readjust it after pressing Alt. Zooming in is one the most basic element of editing and navigating timeline! If you change it, efficiency and fluidity of work will substiantially increase.
Why are major UI changes not optional? For example: 1) You used to be able to mouse wheel anywhere on the Program screen to move on the timeline, now it zooms. Who needs to zoom so often that it's now a mandatory function? 2) The new transition UI on the timeline takes special luck to move. You click right on it and move it and the media moves instead of the transition. These are functions that get used hundreds of times a day. If you want to change them, make it an option that people can turn on, rather than wrecking our workflow with no recourse.
it would be amazing to have more interactive captions inside Premiere. Additionally, It would be great an option for transcribing audio into captions that does not add commas or periods as it's not really needed for reels and short format videos in general.
In the latest version 24.4.1, the transitions are almost completely transparent and are not visible between clips, which causes great visual discomfort and difficulties in working. Even when highlighting them. Previously, when highlighting transitions, they were highlighted in a bright color, this is very convenient. Please bring back the beige color and opaque look of the transitions as it was before. Thank You
I just wanted to throw out an idea that I think could make life easier for us in Premiere Pro. Right now, the colors for Markers and clip color labels don’t match up. It’d be awesome if Adobe could make these color options the same across the board. It’d help a lot with keeping things organized and consistent. Thanks!
With multiple clips selected in a bin, it would be great to have options for what is created. Currently the clips in the new sequence are in order sequentially. The other option could be "Stacked on discreet tracks" or something like that. This would be especially handy when aligning audio stems.
It would be pretty usefull to have also the SAT vs LUM curve in the curves lumetri panel to be able to achive a colour density
This is for all forums (assuming they all share the same search engine); this certainly applies to Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder and Photoshop. Please please please can we have a proper search function in the online Help section as if searching a PDF. Below is an example from the After Effects section; I type "motion blur" (with or without speech marks) and the search brings up results containing both "blur" and "motion" and only one with "motion blur" (not the one I want).I'd expect the company that makes Acrobat to be able to do this.
I really need Power bins (Resolve) or Favorites Bins (avid) in Premier Pro.It is a hastle to have to import in ever project I open the same things over and over again. One bin that has all the music and another having all the Grfx ellements of a programme strans is absolutely needed.
Premiere Pro Timeline Track Highlight? When my sequence timeline begins to fill with multiple tracks of clips (video and audio) and I want to, for example, toggle the track output or mute the audio, it's a bit challenging to find what track the clip is on, when there are maybe 12 tracks and they're at the minimum height. Wondering if Adobe can pop a track highlight color or frame on the affected timeline track nomenclature (left of the timeline) when a clip on said track is selected? Attached graphic is an example.
