Hi. I have an Adobe account through my employer. I'm able to open Photoshop, Illustrator, XD all fine, but when I try and open Fireworks it says my license has expired. I know it's no longer supported but I've been able to use it fine up until last week. Do you know any reason for this? The customer support link that appears takes me to a page about my serial number being wrong (https://www.adobe.com/au/genuine/landing-csadnr.html?sdid=599F8QN9&trackingid=CRH529XX&mv=other) but isn't this the same serial number for all the aps?
Hello,I've recently been handed off a Fireworks CS5 file (it's a PNG, unfortunately) and it's missing Effects and Filters. I also opened it in Fireworks CS6 and same issue.I'm missing the following:BevelGlassExtrudeI'm at a loss on what to do with this file. If I open it other programs it's destroys the files set up and Adobe no longer supports Fireworks. Any advice on how to fix these missing filters/effects or how to migrate this file to another Adobe program (without losing Artboards, fonts, effects, ect.) please let me know.Thank you!
I keep downloading .8bf plugins to find out they end up in the "Menu->Filters" rather than the Live Filters that apply non-destructively to objects.I have a few .8bf plugins which work as Live Filters. Eyecandy 4000, Alien Skin, and Splat. They are pretty good, but I am on the hunt for a simple Pixelate plugin and all the ones I've found so far will convert the object to a bitmap before being used so they aren't much use. BTW: Fireworks is still the only vector/bitmap app which edits non-destructively with photoshop plugins. So this leads me to a question: Is there a list of freeware .8bf plugins which work as Live Filters in Fireworks?Q2: What makes an .8bf plugin work as a Live filter? Do Illustrator plugins work as Live Filters in Fireworks?
So here we are on the threshold of High Sierra... 10.13... Does FW CS6 from the CC work in Mac 10.13? I have used the stand alone CS6 version of FW and DW for years now. Love FW, best app for quick graphics and images! But I do not trust Adobe to update it for High Sierra, if they consider it no longer supported. Is anyone using it in High Sierra? Or have any indication that it will be updated for 10.13 in the CC?
Hi,Can anyone help me to get around the activation window that has now locked me out of the program? It accepts the registration number but there's no response to the online activation. Thanks.
I downloaded Fireworks CS6 from via Creative Cloud Desktop & some of the built-in extensions/panels are not working including the CSS properties Panel. I'm running on Windows 10 (64 bit) BTW. I'm pretty sure this is due to outdated signed certificate associated with the bundled extensions, can somebody who monitions these forums PLEASE make sure that somebody at Adobe looks at this, it seems to me its a minor maintenance update to fix this and it needs to be addressed. Please at the very least acknowledge this and give a fix date Adobe!!
My hard drive recently crashed and i am in the process of re-installing everything... I see that the Cloud app doesnt seem to offer Fireworks anymore... and i dont see it on the CC section of the site either. Is it dead for good? Thanks
My computer just died and I have put in the new hard drive. I have signed in to Adobe Creative Cloud and started downloading my apps again but the Fireworks app is not showing as avialble to downlaod. I have a lot of current files Fireworks png files. Where can I find and download Adobe Fireworks?I kept finding links that would deirect me to the Fireworks download page (https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/fireworks?version=12.0.0) that can't be found or another that says I can download an older version (https://helpx.adobe.com/support/fireworks.html) but there's no link. Or this page that tells me how to download an app that is no longer supported but the information is incorrect etc. or this link Bitmap image, vector graphics software | Download free Adobe Fireworks CS6 trial that has no download - so frustrating!
i have a number of issues with Adobe Fireworks CS6:The CSS Properties Panel will not launch The Kuler Extension will not launch either but I manager to fix by downloading the Kuler extension and reinstallingI'm assuming there will be other related issues, when I launch the CS6 Extension Manager I get an error message as illustrated below:Is this a permissions issue or something? I need the CSS Properties Panel Back - If someone can provide a link to download the last version of the standalone CSS Properties Panel extension then I can install it and probably fix this issue, Otherwise can somebody from Adobe take a look at this please ASAP.
I tried to download and install Firework CS6 through my Creative Cloud, but there is no way letting me download it. I went to adobe download center to download it, but it keep leading me to my Creative Cloud app and in there only shows Firework CS6 "up to date". What should I do to download it?

Dear Adobe Fireworks CS6 team, after several years of NOT LOVING one of your best screen design tools "Fireworks", please invest updating and supporting macOS 64bit.I paid and invested into Adobe products over 30.000 USD within the last 20 years for updates and upgrades of Adobe software and "Fireworks" is one of most used Apps within our UI design workflows. Therefore it would be appropriate if you could re-invest into your longtime Fireworks customers and bring some LOVE and macOS 64bit for your adopted child Fireworks. What is your stance and your update strategy about Fireworks?Should we change to something else, but please don't tell me Photoshop... This is and was always a horrible user experience with a cluttered UI.Regards from Munich Germany,Florian
Ive had a sub to Creative Cloud all apps plan for a few years now just to use Fireworks. I only use it a few times a year and the $50 a month is starting to add up. Since all the images I use on my websites are fireworks PNG files i'm pretty tied to fireworks. Is there a cheaper CC plan that would allow me to continue to use fireworks without paying for the full suite which I never use? Ive searched for an affordable copy of CS6 but seems like only eBay sellers have it and I don't trust buying software like this second hand, which is why Ive been paying for the cloud version for years now. All i need is Fireworks .
Hi,after the update a macOS Mojave 10.14.1, every time I open Fireworks a popup will appear telling me about future incompatibility with future versions of macOS. In theory it is expected that only 64bit applications will work while my Fireworks version 12.0.1.274 is 32bit. I wonder if a 64-bit version already exists or if a new version is expected soon.
My most important adobe apps are Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Captivate, and Acrobat Pro, in that order. I am on Mac OS 10.11.6 (El Capitan). I need to upgrade my OS for some of the Adobe apps. I am considering upgrading to High Sierra, which has the last 32-bit support. Would this let me use all my Adobe apps? I know that Mojave would have a problem with Fireworks.
I am running CS3 on Windows 10 on a new laptop I just bought. When I attempt to use the eraser tool, the pointer is not in sync with what is being erased. It erases in another spot on the screen, so you really have to just guess. Any idea why this might be happening, and more importantly, how to correct it? Below is a screenshot of how far apart the pointer and eraser actually are.
I teach in a school and I am using Adobe Fireworks with the students. On some students computer because of the display resolution and accessibility (how they see the stage) they cannot discern a transparent background of the canvas to the stage. Is it possible to change the stage colour for the slightly visually impaired student? So summary of my question how to change the background colour of stage so when the canvas is transparent it can be easily distinguishable. Thank you.
Well, ... now what? Mojave OS is now 64bit and Fireworks is 32bit. I'm getting warning signs that if I update more, Fireworks won't work. It's the only program that allows layered PNG files that can be altered at a later time. In photoshop, they are flat. Any hope of FW updating to 2019 any time soon, or have we seen the last of it?Esther
Does anyone know if my Fireworks MX 2004 is compatable with my new win 10 / Office 2016 machine before I ditch the old XP one which is crying out to be put out of its misery. So much legacy files.....If not directly compatible, is there a straightforward upgrade planAny help truely welcomeThanks
Good morning all,New to this forum and really a novice with FW. What is the easiest way to fade colors say black to blue or vice-versa? I have letters that I am trying to create a graphic with. We are looking for creative ways to come up with a new brand for a mascot. I work for a school district police department. I want to create the effect of a fade left to right in efforts of a "separation", for lack of better terms, of HIPPO and POLICE without a separation in the letter spacing. Clear as mud right! Thoughts?
The CSS Properties panel does not open, neither with the menu nor with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F7, this functionality is not executed. I use Windows 10 Pro.How can I solve that.Thank you.

With my newest computer neither CS4 or CS5 applications function anymore. First I made the mistake of using the migration assistant to go from old mac to new mac and because adobe is lame this came across with a glitch that Im not able to get rid of even though I deleted the install, downloaded the software again from adobe and entered my serial numbers. Still got the same error message. Contacted adobe and they said, oopsie, legacy software no longer supported and does not work with newer mac computers. And offered no solution to the problem other than me having to spend more money.now I have literally hundreds of legacy fireworks layered and paged files and its seems nothing can open them. I still have the old imac on which I can open the files in fireworks and save out literally thousands of pages as PSD layer files. did I say tedious? In estremis. So, can anyone recommend an alternative to fireworks that preserves layers and files? Its my understanding adobe has no alternative and i
In 2016 I purchased a stand alone version of Fireworks CS6 and have been using it up until last week. My organization purchased the Enterprise version of Creative Cloud, and once I installed it, my version of Fireworks now states that it is a 7-day trial. I have spent, cumulatively, 45 minutes on the phone with Support - first Enterpise, then Teams, then ultimately referred here. I was told that the Forum has to help me with this issue.I have my executable files for Fireworks and Adobe CS6 activation that I purchased back in 2016. But if I reinstall them they want a Creative Cloud purchase or a serial number.Did I sacrifice my Fireworks software for a subscription to Creative Cloud?
I converted the Font Awesome vector icons to Fireworks Symbols for the Common Library, I've no idea how many people still use Fireworks but here they are if you want to use them, just copy the three folders to the Fireworks Common Library folder.Brands: https://jmp.sh/5cV6brpSolid Icons: https://jmp.sh/1EeFH4gRegular Icons: https://jmp.sh/GkkaIWZ
