I understand that Adobe Flash Player is built-in to Google Chrome, but is disabled. I am trying to enable Flash Player on Chrome based on the steps provided, but when I type in 'chrome://plugins' into the search bar it comes up with this:Why is this coming up? Is this the only way to enable Adobe Flash Player on Chrome? I have already downloaded it, but it is still not working.
Can't Download . Every time Shows Application initialization error.
I have tried several different downloads, the full installation, the installer for Fire Fox, and some other recommendations. But no matter which one I try, it starts to install then at around 52 - 53% installation fails and it sends me to the Adobe trouble shooting page.I have a windows 7 machine, and it is behind a proxy server/fire wall. But I have to say that previous versions have loaded fine. But that was an older version of Windows. Any suggestions?

I noticed that when I try to update my Flash player for Firefox, Adobe prompts me for some other bloatware software. I'm wondering if I allow Adobe to auto install updates it will also fill up my PC with any kind of junkware or if it will only install the required update of Flash player.
I keep getting a message that says the install has failed after it reaches about 5%
How do I install Adobe Flash Player on Windows Vista?
How do I open flash (swf) files that are on my desktop if the Flash Player doesnt appear in my list of programs?I have read parts of several forums and have solved some problems but not all. I have Win XP and IE 8. After reading other forums, I unistalled then re-installed the Player and was able to see the video (and written message) confirming i had a sucessfull install the other day. I seen that the Player shows up in my Control Panel (ActX 11.3.300.271). So everything seems to be fine. The problem is that presentations that others have created on a seperate computer using Adobe Captivate cant be viewed on my machine with the Player. The files run perfectly on machine(s) with the regular Flash program but not my Flash Player. The files dont even have the familiar red 'f' icon when i save them to the desktop, they appear as an unrecognized format. I double click on the file and it ask me which program to use, but the Player is not an option even though it was installed. Others w
Adobe Flash Player comes installed with Windows 10 (on my new computer, July 2017). The AFP system check says it's properly installed. When I click on my videos (I'm a teacher), an error msg says Adobe FP 9.0 must be installed to run my (Echo 360) videos. I'm shocked that Adobe has no convenient support for such initial installation-related problems. 😞[moderator: condensed and summarized discussion topic for usability and ease of reading]

I keep on having this discussion at my department with colleagues: I send them a link with an animation I would like to include on our website, and they say the system it runs on is not longer going to be supported within a few years. This is an example : http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/interactive/animations/beam_engine/index_embed.shtmlCan you explain to me how this works? How is this animation going to work when Flash Player stops? Do the creators of this animation have to take the initiative to find an alternative application? Or the people who monitor the website upon which it is displayed? And how is this going to work with archived webpages? If you want to create something similar and anticipate the disappearance of Flash player, what alternative do you use?I need to know this in order to be able to communicate with web designers and motion graphic designers, to whom I am going to commission a series of animations,I would appreciate feedback from people of Adobe them sel
I have done just about everything to make sure I have the latest adobe flash player software and that it is turned on. While the adobe support page says I have the latest update and that it is functioning, every time I go to do an ESPN Fantasy Football Draft, it will not let me run the draft application because "I need adobe flash player 9.0 or higher to run the function." I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it multiple times and it still does not work and I have no idea what to do to fix the problem.
Hi, i have formatted an old laptop i have and wanted to install Flash Player. The installer doesn't open at all. Can you help me please??OS: Windows Vista 64 bits.Laptop: Dell Ispiron 1525
My antivirus states I need to update and install myself Flash Player IE 25.0.0.148. Antivirus states it's critical. When I click download, I get redirected to Adobe Home Page. I've checked your forum and I can't find step-by-step answers on HOW to complete this (1st time using forum & not very tech savvy). I have checked Flash Player in my Control Panel. Clicked the Updates tab and I cannot do anything, it's dimmed. It is set to notify me when updates are available but never has notified me. Can someone please Help me??? Using Window 10 Home.[Moved from the non-technical Lounge Forum to the specific Program forum... Mod][Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome]
Hello, Could you please provide an adobe flash player installer for Mozilla and Internet Explorer that is unattended?I mean, do not leave the options "Next" or "Finished" and installed directly.Best regards.
I still use XP/Firefox or Chrome. I save the file .exe, but when I click Run, it always says "error", as if the internet connection is gone, it couldn't retrieve data. Thanks.
Why so many Active Script Errors ? Adobe Flash Player is a piece of garbage
Hi all,I'm maintaining a product portfolio with several Flex (SDK 3.5) based products that all run in browser Flash Player plugins. We're encountering clients who start having problems with the availability of the Flash Player runtime on their systems (either through browsers abandoning the NPAPI plugins or Flash player specifically not being available). We're of course looking ahead and trying to determine the best way of continuing our code base, and which runtime to target to ensure that our products will remain available on as many platforms as possible. When I look around, I can see some possible alternatives to the Flash Player, but neither of those looks like a path I'd gladly follow:- with some adjusting we could make the products run in Adobe AIR, but would that be worth it (is this runtime going to be around long enough to put in the effort)?- I've seen Apache FlexJS trying to compile MXML into HTML5 compatible CSS/JS (but all of the important tech like AMF, E4X etc. is not supp
Welcome to the end of support for Flash Player in 2020 I have a request! Can you issue an alternative WMF (Windows Media Fundation) to be able to watch H264 movie in Firefox, Opera, Chromium on Windows XP and ReactOS? WMF is compatibily only with Windows Vista and newer.
I have to download Flash Player every time I go to this website that requires Flash Player. I am using Chrome. I have gone through the Chrome settings and allowed for Flash Player to be used. I have also tried to go through Internet Explorer as well and it still makes me re-download every time. How do I keep Adobe Flash Player downloaded?
Since I updated the standalone player to 24, and even to thise day at 26, I've been having a problem with the standalone player.it adds ' -relaunched' to the end of any file that opens with it.This causes it to show a white screen.I can drag the files on to the standalone flash player, and they'll work fine. But running a swf file adds ' -relaunched' to the end of the file name as far as flash player is concerned, and it just opens to a white screen. How do I go about removing the appended text when opening flash files?I don't want to have to open the Flash folder, run flashplayer_##_sa.exe (which simply runs ' -relaunched' as a file name, so it is probably some kind of launch command), then open the folder with the flash file, then drag the file on to the flash projector every time I want to run a swf or flv, etcetera. !
I have a Windows 10 VM, 64Bit and I'm using IE11. ActiveX filtering is off. I have gone to the Adobe website several times to verify my version of Flash but it says it isn't installed. I checked the manage add-ons areas while visiting YouTube and Shockwave doesn't show up as an add-on. Someone told me that if the videos are working on YouTube that Flash is installed, but I'm visiting a necessary website that requires flash and it tells me I need to install it. Not sure what to do at this point. I need Flash to be installed.Thank you[moderator: added OS version to title for clarity]
Absolutely fed up.Literally every other software supplier give you a direct download link. No stupid logins, no finding your way through a myriad of pages, no ridiculous form to complete.I regularly download Java, Firefox, Chrome and others to keep my network fully patched. Why am I always fighting with Adobe? The distribution3 page was ideal, why would you antagonise people and remove it?It's bad enough your products are so poor I need to patch them urgently, it's entirely the epitome of poor taste that you force Techies like me to waste time finding them too. I have filled out the stupid form at least 10 times in the past, why do I need to do it again?I haven't received any email confirmation either - I guess your email functionality works as well as your Flash product.*IT should be easy for end-users and if it's not, we're all missing the point*Listen to your users for a change, provide a direct link.
