Flash Player (read-only)

This is not a nice Christmas present. I am pretty busy on the Captivate forum and today we get a lot of complaints. The last version of Flash Player (20.0.0.267) prevents all published Captivate courses with output to SWF from playing. Same happens to output created with competitors. Maybe Adobe doesn't care about the competitors, but at least the in-house eLearning authoring software, Adobe Captivate, should be tested. It is not the first time this happened with a new Flash Player, and we are used to roundtripping work flows being broken whenever a new version of Photoshop or Audition is released.  All course developers have to warn now users not to update the Flash player, have no idea how many learners are now yelling at this moment that their courses don't work anymore.Please, Adobe user support is already considered to be very bad! How can we explain to Captivate users that Adobe cannot avoid such a situation? I am out of inspiration to find an acceptable explanation. That is

On the update of Flash Player 20.0.0.267 in Chrome/Firefox/Adobe-Flash-Player, under specific environment which we have already applied in thousands of SWF files, we find it 1) unable to stop playing the sound which is placed on Timeline by ActionScript "this.stop" in our launched game, and 2) it could also cause multiple sound playing simultaneously resulting in loud noise and sudden crash on browser just within a few seconds.  I have made a test to demonstrate the problem (but not limited to this case in reality):1. My Browser is Internet Explorer (embedded - Windows 8.x) - ActiveX, adobe.com tells me that my Flash Player is out of date (19,0,0,207), so I have tried to update it to the latest version (20.0.0.286) many times to no avail, even though I have followed all the steps and instructions, and Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB3133431)already has successfully been installed. Please help!

I'm trying to get to where you change security settings in Adobe Flash Player. Online instructions say go to the "Settings Manager," but I just get documentation and go round and round. It says "Use the Panel" or click on a tab. But I only get to where you install or purchase products. Flash Player IS installed. I want to set security so that the camera/microphone is never used. I don't understand. I need a link that will open wherever it is that you choose those options.

checking on the labs page noticed all the files are debugexcept for the 32x SAis this by design or was just an error when publishing the files ?

Hello,I've tried to install Adobe Flash Player 18.0.0.326  Extended Support silently, but I ran into trouble because the msi is not signed.Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 7 (x86/x64) will show it as a possible security problem after downloading (Smart-Screen).It says, that the msi is not correctly signed and that my computer will be protected against it.So, how should a company use this file as an "Extended Support" Will this be fixed in a future release?

I have had an Adobe Flash distribution license for several years now. We don't actually distribute it but this was the only way to obtain a standalone (non web-based) installer.I received and email indicating that the download links were being updated. I visited an re-applied for the distribution license as requested. I installed WIN 10, but gave up after many issues and reverted to WIN 7 (32 bit Home Premium), but now I cannot get Flash to work with Ie 11; it worked before I made the journey to WIN 10 and back. I used the Flash uninstall tool, and removed all other traces of it and downloaded a new Flash and installed it. I checked the Ie "Manage addons" which reports "Enabled", but "https://helpx.adobe.com/flash- player.html" reports "Not installed or not enabled". I have checked that Activex is disabled. I have tried with AVG disabled. No cigar. What I need is some clever suggestions...

On certain sites, the video field shows completely blank like above. If you rightclick, you get to theflash player menu, as you can see above. So flash player seems to at least load, but nothing more happens. Any ideas for solving this? I have already tried all the seven standard trouble-shooting measures recommended. Hi, I feel like banging my head to the wall because of flash player.  When flash player is installed, my laptop works in slow motion and when I uninstall it my laptop speed is ok but then if I am playing a game or something a message from Adobe covers the page and tell me to install the flash player without giving me a chance to say no thank you, as a result I have to leave that page.  Please help.Thank you.  Patty

I am trying to deploy Flash so that the AVHardwareEnabledDomain=Local setting is in place for all users.  My mms.cfg looks like this:SilentAutoUpdateEnable=0AutoUpdateDisable=1AVHardwareDisable=1AVHardwareEnabledDomain=LocalIt appears as the setting is making to the PC as Admin Accounts are prompted with an allow box when starting the program that enables a camera, however, regular users are not getting the prompt to allow, it is just going to a black screen.  I'm guessing they are not getting the prompt because they are just users of the PC.Question:  Would adding the setting:AllowUserLocalTrust=1 remove the security requirement of the PopUp allow box?Thank you.Brian Jaskiewicz

Every time I try to install the new Adobe Flash Player, I get a message that says "communication error". I hit retry to install it and it says the same error and the next option is "finish". I hit that, the box closes and the file disappears from my system. I have re-download it from your website everytime.What's going on? All other Windows 7 machines downloaded flashplayer20ax_ra_install.exe.  Why does one particular machine's version of Internet Explorer identify as the CE version?  All machines are running IE11.

I've typed in my Username (it automatically shows my first and last name) and I've entered my Adobe password. I've also tried typing in my email address as User name and it still doesn't go through, the box just vibrates. I'm not tech savvy, just trying to download Flash Player.

At various times, my Internet viewing gets interrupted by a grey screen with a spinning circle of arrow heads.  If I right-click, I get a small box with 3 options.  Please see above image.A right-click brings a box with 3 options:Settings; Global Settings; About Adobe Flash Player. The version currently available through both the beta release direct download & auto-updates is 20.0.0.255 for NPAPI but the production current release version is 20.0.0.267 so why exactly is the comparable beta version number less than the same production release or is everything just out of sync?Comparing the beta release notes‌ currently available to the production release notes shows that the beta fixes up to Nov 18, 2015 went to the production release for Dec 8, 2015 and the beta fixes up to Dec 22, 2015 (same date as latest beta) went to production on Dec 28, 2015 which the version for that date was 20.0.0.267. But there is no history of the previous beta release notes & what's currently available in the beta release notes doesn't even show the current beta version number since all it has is for 20.0.0.230 (which doesn't match the latest date) so its pretty sketchy on being able to determine why the beta version number scheme has dropped noticeably below the comparable pr
