Flash Player (read-only)

While visiting Apple.com, I got a message to update Adobe Flash. I did the update, and then noticed intermittent reloading of Safari and then all my tabs on Safari were deleted. After I downloaded the update, there was a page from Advanced Mac Cleaner (which I have not installed) to clean my Mac, installed new icon in my Dock that I didn't recognize, and changed the settings on my Dock. I changed my user password on my mac, and also downloaded and used Malware Bytes, which recognized Advanced Mac Cleaner as spyware/adwa

Nearly the same thing happened with the -regions update last month.  Last time though, the update did install, but the ‘update available’ pop-up kept interrupting me over and over and over.  Today, it appears that the install is not working.

My game save failed and a warning popped up that I should increase the size of the LSO.  However, all I have on the pop-up window are the "allow" and "deny" options. Also, when I go to Windows Control Panel, same thing.I'm mainly using Flash in Firefox, the precise version is Firefox Quantum 64.0 (64-bit) and it says it's up-to-date. My Windows Version is Windows 10 Home Version 1803 OS Build 17134.471I'd really appreciate any help since I'd love to be able to finish my game!

I'm using a Macbook Sierra 10.6 and safari 12.0.2. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my flash player, but when I check to see if it's on my computer thru the helpx.adobe, it says I don't have it. I have checked the box in Safari under preferences and plug-ins. I started all of this because I kept getting the little question marks in the blue boxes on some web pages. I do have those websites marked as "on" in Safari for Adobe Flash Player. Why can I not seem to get it downloaded? In my applications folder, it shows a rectangle icon that says flash player with a shortcut symbol by it, but I don't see the red F, even though I saw it when I downloaded it. Any ideas? Please don't tell me I need to upgrade my operating system as I'm running some old software for work and Apple suggested I not upgrade until I'm not using it any longer. Thank you!!

hi my computer keeps saying I don't have the 9 plug in version of adobe flash player and ive tried downloading it but it still says I don't have it. What do I DO?

I have latest version of Flash;     I have latest version of Chrome for Windows 10;          I have read and tried everything in 'settings';               On one screen it states 'flash is already installed with latest version BUT, it is disabled';When I sign in to play online games I always get 'Adobe Flash is disabled' Or, 'Allow' which is good when I click.What else 'should' I do?Thanking you in advance

When I try to update the PPAPI plug-in it redirects me to the Adobe download page but the file that is downloaded is the NPAPI plug-in installer, not the correct one.It seams that some correct link is messing.

HiThe download of Adobe Flash v27 for Firefox on Windows 10 fails when I try to run it. If I 'run as administrator' I do get a dialogue box requesting authority to make changes to the computer, but then nothing. Therwise (eg if I double-click on the file) there is a small amount of computer activity but nothing actually happens.Any suggestions please?ThanksPaul

I can't find it, Windows 64 bit. Newest version of flash player, and I just can't find it. I keep trying to find it through file manager but all of the .exe files for the Flash Player are settings and uninstall .exe'sHelp?

this particular site uses http, not https (face palm)i tried with the following browsers:chrome: will not let a http site run flashopera: settings look the same as chrome's, so i think it also does not allow an http site to run flashfirefox: can run, but it often crashes with "flash plug-in stopped responding" error or the flash page becoming totally whited outinternet explorer: according to Enable Flash Player for Internet Explorer ,  i think i need to a find shockwave add-on in the windows "add-ons" settings, but i couldn't find any. i mean my "toolbars and extensions" section is totally empty.can someone please help me with IE or recommend a different browser? thanks

Hi, I can't update my flashplayer, I hit the install now, then save and run and then it comes up with an error saying it didn't update.  Can anyone help me please??

I was trying to open up a file that ends with ".SWF" via Flash Player on my new MacBook Pro.For some reason, I keep getting a blank screen and it looks as if the application is trying to play the file but you don't see or hear anything.I also get an error message with Flash Player that says, "PREFERENCES ERROR, COULD NOT LOAD FLASH PLAYER PREFERENCE PANE" and it shows another message that says, "LOADING FLASH PLAYER".Does anyone know how I can get Flash working?Message was edited by: Jeromie Clark - I updated the title to make this a little easier to find for other Captivate users that might be running into this

When playing a video  on Youtube my mouse pointer will be  far ahead of the progress red bar if I want to  scan forward in time of the video or backwards and not on the time stamp of the video playing . Like if I hold my left mouse button on the bar it will be like example 2:15 but the video is at 1:15 not exact but its only way I can explain it. and if I try to go to the end of the video my mouse almost has to be off the page to pull the progress bar over to the right.. Making it hard to speed forward or back when playing a video. I dont know if this is flash issue or my video card. I updated everything such as video driver as well as my flash player..

I run Safari on an iMac.  I had a screen pop up saying I needed to download a FlashPlayer update.  When I read the terms and permissions it was really an attempt to lead MacCleaner Pro onto my computer.  MacCleaner Pro is malware.  Fortunately I didn't agree to the download and tried to back out.  It took me 10 minutes to finally get rid of Mac Cleaner Pro, which had downloaded without my permission and without my agreeing to usage terms.  (If you want more info on MacCleaner, google Mac Cleaner malware.)  But now I'm not sure whether Mac Cleaner has used Adobe symbols falsely, or if Adobe has cut a deal with Mac Cleaner.  If the latter I will never use any Adobe product again.Any input?

I have hundreds of Windows 7 machines that I want to uninstall Adobe Flash Player silently, without the user intervention. I read several forums , saying use the -silent switch with uninstall_flash_player.exe in a command prompt, but it doesn't work. If I go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash and run the file FlashUtil64_18_0_0_194_ActiveX, it comes with the following message:If anyone had done the silent uninstall before and ready to pass that knowledge, it is greatly appreciated!

I just want to download the newest version of Flash Player.  Yet every time I try, the final screen wants me to sign up for 10 free adobe images.  But the catch is I get one month free and if I don't cancel within the first month I will get billed each additional month.  I do not want the 10 free images and do not want to sign up for it.  So you're making people sign up for this farce in order to get flash player?  That IS NOT good business practice.

Need help mitigating this issue to help pass security audit. Any suggestions?

HelloNow that Flashplayer will be fired out from many browser by the end of 2020.I have a simple question: can i package my flex sdk3 application to run within the adobe air runtime (for the desktop) and hope that it still work after 2020 ? Does AIR still be able to run applications wich are running before within the flashplayer plugin in the browser ?Thanks in advance

Hi,I am having a problem where I cannot seem to turn off Adobe Flash update notifications.  These are the steps I have performed so far, yet the update notifications keep appearing.1. Modified mms.cfg to AutoUpdateDisable=1.  Copied file to both C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash and C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash.2. Disabled Adobe Flash Player Update Service, AdobeFlashPlayerUpdateSvc3. Deleted Task Scheduler jobs for Adobe Flash.Anything else I need to modify or turn off to stop Flash from displaying a notification to update?
