Is there an Adobe solution to create a cloud-based InCopy server workflow?Any feedback are welcomed.

I finally was able to update to InCopy 14.0. But when I open and check out an assignment, many of the keys on my keyboard don't work like Enter, Delete and Backspace. I can't get any keyboard shortcuts to work either. Thanks for any ideas any of you may have.

Hello everyone, I've recently downloaded my Incopy file from a cloud service. But now, I can't do any modification on my file. I can't edit the text at all, and so it is in Indesign.Have you got any idea how to resolve this issue ?Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello,I am new to inCopy and I have a small problem.When I open an InDesign file in InCopy, I can see my content and I can check it out also.]icml file is linked to document but I am still cannot see it in assignment panel.Thank you!

I don’t see any way to access my CC styles in InCopy.Also, the default CC folder shown when clicking File > Open is the wrong folder (on OSX, it is the system Library Adobe folder), not my synced CC library, and there appears to be no way to change this.Am I missing something? These seem like major design bugs and suggest that InCopy CC is not really integrated with Creative Cloud. Will they be fixed?

Hi! I've been using InCopy on a little bit larger scale and had a suggestion or two about team organization.If any of the below are already possible please let me know how to do them:It would be great if we could have an additional workspace option that would have the whole team listed and when one person has finalized their reviews then they can mark the document completed and it would nudge the next person on the list to take a look and make their edits. With the prior in mind it would also be great if one person (document leader) could have their name/email associated to the document to be the go to person incase something happens they could be prompted to take a look.Also the 'Notes' window doesn't let you check off the note as if it had been completed. It would be a great thing to have for organization since things can get lost sometimes.This is a great program to use and I'm glad i stumbled upon it!!

I imported a document from Word (via File > Open) into the latest version of InCopy CC for the first time today and there appears to be a bug in the style mapping modal. The right-side drop-down menus do not show any of my InCopy styles. It only gave me the option of the built-in styles (e.g. Basic Paragraph Font and No Paragraph Font).

Once we updated to the 2019 software of InCopy and InDesign this problem arose. Our copy writer keeps getting this message when opening our icaps in InCopy. We are packaging the files no differently than in the 2018 software and have never had this problem before. Is this a bug in the system? Or is there a different way to do this in the 2019 software? WHAT'S HAPPENING! ahhH!!!

InCopy randomly don't save changes after checking in and closing the document. Sometimes, when I open the document again straight away, the changes are still there, but when my colleague opens the same document a few hours later, all the changes have been reversed. So far, I have seen no pattern to when the changes stick and when they don't.Is there anything I can do about this? I'm far from an InCopy expert, I only use it to make minor changes to laid out text. I'm using version 13.1 x64.I couldn't find any previous threads with this exact problem, but if there are I'd be grateful if you could point me at them Cheers,Kat

Hi!Been packaging Incopy assignment (.icap file) and sending it to the editor. She will send me back an file - assignment all edited (.idap). But I just updated Creative Cloud 2019, and now I can't open the .idap file she sends over. This error message pops up: The selected package file requires an InDesign document "^1" that cannot be found.This is really annoying. Anyone else getting this issue?

I'm running macOS High Sierra on my desktop machine. I upgraded and installed InDesign 14.0 and InCopy 14.0, and this is my first experience with the upgrades.I exported styled text in InDesign as an InCopy Document (.icml). Created an assignment (.icap), attaching the InCopy Document. This is what I've done for years, and it has always worked.When I attempt to open the .icap in InCopy, I immediately get the error message "An error occurred opening the package file." I tried the process again, same result.I'm also running the same macOS on my laptop, but haven't yet upgraded to InDesign 14.0 and InCopy 14.0. Emailed myself the .icap file created on my desktop in InDesign 14.0, and it opened immediately on my laptop.Back on my desktop, I reinstalled InCopy 13.1, and the .icap created in InDesign 14.0 opened right away.Is anyone else experiencing this problem with InCopy 14.0? Is this a bug in InCopy 14.0?

Hi, there's been alot of buzz about InDesign's new feature allowing users to import comments from a PDF. But is that feature available for InCopy now too? My organization has alot of editors on InCopy who receive input from freelancers via PDF. It would be great if InCopy users had this capability too. Will they?

I transferred my InCopy CS5.5 to my new Mac Mini. It won't open files and says I need a Java app, which I installed. It still won't open files.

Hello - How do I get the notes anchor to show up in Layout view? It is missing completely.

I work on IT Helpdesk. A user has installed InCopy v14 on her windows 7 PC. When checking content in, InCopy freezes - she then has to shut down the exe in task manager to clear it. She is Windows 7 enterprise, SP1, Intel Core i5-6200 U CPU, 7.43 usable RAM from * GB capacity, 64 bit OS. Any advice on what might be the cause and solution please? Thanks

Hallo ich bin noch recht neu hier und habe eine wirkloch dringende Frage und im Helpcenter hat man mir nicht helfen können.Ich habe mal ausversehen ein InDesign Dokument mit Incopy geöffnet. Seit dem kann ich das nicht mehr trennen von einander. Ich habe auf einmal ein Haufen Incopy Verknüpfungen zu dem Dokument die ich nicht löschen kann, weil die als Verknüpfung dazu gehören und ich kann es kaum oder sehr schlecht bearbeiten, wenn ich es im InDesign öffne...Ich brauche Incopy nicht und hätte gerne alle so wies mal war.Ich hoffe es kann mir jemand helfen!!!Liebste GrüßeNoelle

I updated my CC to 2019, but the designer hasn't. She's still using 2018. I had checked out some assignments from a indd file in the intra server and checked all in when I was done. Before notifying my designer she came and asked, "how were you able to work o the assignments when I was working on them?" She was working on the same indd file, from InDesign, with all assignments checked out. And yet, when I checked all in, she got "update" signs next to the assignments. And weirdly, when she updated them all, they updated fine with out any crash. Funnily, assignments in her InDesign were still checked out, and my InCopy showed the same files' assignments were still available for check out.So, I'm guessing it's some sort of a bug. Anyone else had that experience?

Is there a way to save character styles so that they automatically load when opening new InCopy files? Currently, you need to open character styles, select the hamburger menu, select load character styles, and then select a document that has them. Is there a way to have it automatically appear when creating new documents or opening previously created ones with out having to manually load it everytime?

Is InCopy the same as Illustrator or inDesign?

Hi:II'm using IncopyCC 13.0.1 and the Available and Text status icons in the Assignments panel are not appearing so I can't immediately see in whether my text content is up to date and available to check out. Any idea how to get those icons back?-Kevin
