Hello, I have had this persistent problem for over a year now with no solution from Adobe Support! Here is my problem. I am running Windows 11 on an Intel i7 -processor on a Dell Desktop computer, with 32 mb of memory onboard. I am running an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card & All drivers are up to date. Adobe Lightroom Classic continues to crash (Greyed out screen) when I attempt to run it (It opens then the grey screen appears). I then need to go into Task Manager and close the program. PLEASE ADOBE HELP ME!!!!!
a la hora de quitar ruido , en el apartado detalle, se queda trabajando mucho rato, dice que quedan 10 segundos, pero no avanza..... tengo que cerrar el proceso, porque no avanza. No sé si será alguna configuración.
In Lightroom Classic on a Windows 11 PC, when editing a RAW file, if I 'right click' the image and choose "Edit In..." and select a third-party app, and in the "What to Edit" pop-up select "Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments" and in "Copy File Options" select "JPEG" to end up with a .jpg file, it appears that Lightroom immediately creates the .jpg copy before invoking the third-party app. What JPG compression setting does Lightroom use to generate the .jpg copy, and can it be changed?
Before the last couple of updates I could import to lightroom and it would import the the last place I imported my pictures. Now I have to physically show Lightroom where I want the pictures everytime. Even after just importing from a card and then want to import from a different card to the dame date. So in other words if I want to import pictures from the card I have to go to Macintosh HD, then User, Then user name, then pictures, then Lightroom and since I have my lightroom set up to sort by date it will post under 2020/then the actual day. Is there a way that I can make a default to always go to the same folder when importing instead of having to find it manually each time?
I just realized that the GPS info that is in my original image doesn't synchronize to the web. How can I can achieve this?
Situation: When an image is tagged with GPS coordinates, Lightroom Classic suggests location data which si shown in italic in the respective fields: Challenge: The data is only shown in the Lightroom interface but not merged into the meta data of the original image. Solution: I seeked adivce previously and since then, I used the AnyTag plugin. Due to a Lightroom bug, I can only commit the location data to 10-15 images at once which is a pain when you want to tag 1,000 images. Does anyone have a solution that works?

I just started using Adobe's Denoise feature which I think works well. Today I was asked to submit photos I took of some birds and they would like them converted to JPEG. Every time I try to export the DNG file to JPEG It gets shrunken down to the point where I don't think it's going to be printable. The DNG file is showing anywhere from 35 MB to 40 MB but export the file size for the JPEG is 3 MB? Can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated because I've never had my photos used for an exhibit. I normally export through Lightroom, but maybe I should be using Photoshop?
Since yesterday, Adobe Lightroom Classic suddenly started freezing whenever I click "Copy Settings" in the Develop module (or in the Library module). Normally, a dialog window opens with a checklist of the desired development settings. The only way I can quit Lightroom is via the Task Manager. I'm completely at a loss as to what's causing it. I've updated my NVIDIA graphics card driver and also disabled the respective graphics card support as a test. I'm especially surprised that the problem occurred for no apparent reason and in the middle of my work, and apparently can't be resolved! [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. A ‘bug’ is not just a fancy word for any software problem! It’s defined as a coding error that makes the application behave in a way that was not intended by the developer.]
I don't know what is causing this, but after an import in LR Classic, metadata are missing, text shows the word "working ..." (cf JPEG image) and the only solution is a restart. I already searched and saw some suggestions for a fix, but nothing works.I use the lastest version of Lightroom classic, my OS is W10 pro. I always import RAW files -> DNG. of 12, 16, 20 mbytes.Any help would be much appreciated.Jos
I am runnng the current LrC and I am currently on Mac OS 15.5, and on at least two different M chips with well endowed machines. The problem has been present for many versions of both LrC and the OS. The problem occurs when I am typing in the Title or Description field for an image. The first symptom is that the cursor position becomes eratic and the text entered becomes garbled, often duplicated and not even consistently visible until after I have restarted LrC. If I stop and restart LrC, I can correct the garbled text in the text box and proceed. What usually happens though is that LrC blows out completely and I am left with bug report windows for Adobe and Apple. I always fill these in so you should have many tens of example crash reports. I recently noticed that the problem may only occur after I turn Spell Check While Typing mode on. (Wish it was on by default but that is another story and shoukd be a post maybe). Can I be of more assistance in resolving this? Just let me know. As
JPEG XL files with the ProPhoro RGB color space exported from Lightroom contain color compression artifacts. They appear in quality 100% and lower. Other color spaces do not have this problem. Lightroom version 13.3.1 Windows 11 23H2 version 22631.3593
I've been using LR Classic for years now. When I set it up, I established my 'home' for it on my Mac's Pictures folder. Macintosh HD / users / <my name> / pictures. At this folder, I have a Lightroom folder, which contains my lightroom catalogs, backups, and old lightroom catalogs folders. My default folder for imports is Macintosh HD / users / <my name> / pictures / Photos_LR. I back up locally with Time Machine, and I back up via two cloud services - iCloud (plenty of storage available), and Backblaze. Since iCloud backups only support the Destop and Documents folders (not Pictures, downloads, etc), it makes sense that I should migrate my LR catalog(s) and image library to a subfolder under /Documents, so I have a local backup and a cloud-based backup. So ... is this as simple as a drag and drop in Finder? Or are there layers of settings that also need to be modified? Withing LRC, I can see that my catalog is where I know it to be
HI Everyone, I have a dumb question. I had some files on a drive on a laptop that I imported into my temporary laptop LR catalog while I was away on a shoot just to see them. I have all my LR catalogs to do some sharpening and lens profile adjustment on import. When I got home I grabbed the same files that had been imported on that drive and copied them to my home hard drive. Then I imported them into my home hard drive LR catalog which is also set up to do sharpening. Did I just double sharpen my files? Or if I look at the slider should that amount of sharpening include 'all' of the sharpening that has been done to the files? If I had done anything else to those files, would those adjustments have come over as well? I've done quite a bit of work to these and would hate to have to start over but I do have all the original cards. Thanks! Thanks! Mac Sequoia 15.5 LR 14.3.1 PS 26.7.0
I cannot download and pictures that i have edited using lightroom mobile to LRC.I have 11 sitting there syncing but nothing happens. there are no errors that I can find and edits sync fine as well as collections.I have no idea how to resolve this. please help!! lrc 14.3.1Mac 15.5
Lightrom Classic, current version (updated 6 days ago) keeps essentially acting as if the files are offline, yet allows full editing in develop mode. Essentially, I can go through and edit an entire project as normal, but when I go to export, the hotkey is unresponsive and the options are greyed out. This is also the case with "edit in PS", AI denoise, and metadata things I don't use. It doesn't show "file offline" or anything indicating that and I can click "show in finder" and it confirms everything is online. The issue is fixed upon restarting LR, until I go edit more stuff and try and export. And while I'm here, it's not updating star ratings in the filmstrip at the bottom. This was a bug in the last version, it seemed to be fixed for a few days in this version, but now is back.
I've used the denoise feature for a long time now, it has always worked great. Right now it was taking over 5 minutes to complete one image in 14.3, when it normally took 10-20 seconds. So I decided to update to 14.4 (I know that it no longer generates another file), but it does not complete the process in the indicated time. Is this just momentarily broken? Can I do anything to fix this on my end?
Hello. I have opened up my LRC, all my pregviously purchased presets are still in it but the brushes are missing. If I go into settings and choose Show all other lighttoom prestets-lightroom-local adjustment brushes....They are still all inthre. I treid to reinstall them, replace them, still once closing the LRC and reopening, getting a brush tool then go to the custom ...they are not there. If I go back to an older catalog, they are there again.... Any idea? Thank you!
Hey all, I've been using LR for a while, but can't seem to export GPS coordinates with jpgs. I don't know what I am doing wrong here. Quick run-down:- I'm importing iPhone raw photos with GPS data to LR.- LR Map shows them even at the right spot.- When I export jpgs, the GPS info's gone.- Doing the same with Apple photos works great, but can't edit there. Anyone got a fix?
How do I change the GPS coordinates format in LRC? The default format is DDD° MM" SS.SS'which is fine I guess, but all of my other apps use the DD.DDDD format. I read earlier today that all that one needs to do is click the arrow to the right of the location metadata info. That doesn't work the format remains the same. Is there something I need to change in the preferences dialog?
so slow during import and export! have the latest updat, new computer . im attaching my specs
