Returning to the books module after a few years, the ability to adjust cells by entering values numerically seems to have disappeared. I have single photos on all my pages, I've adjusted the first cell size & position and now I need to match size and positions to this on all the remaining pages. Not possible to accurately adjust to match so how do I go about this? Thanks.
I develop photos exclusively for web use in Lightroom Classic. That means I'm exporting in sRGB colorspace to post images on my website and social media. However, exported photos look completely different than what I see while developing. I assume this is because Lightroom uses a different ProPhoto colorspace. My monitor is a Dell S2721DGF IPS monitor. It has a wide-gamut and excellent color reproduction, though I have not done any calibration myself. Now, I understand that Lightroom is a color managed program and windows/web is not, therefore I expect to see color differences when exporting to sRGB. I'm trying to use soft proofing to predict the differences and make changes, but the issue is that the soft-proofing doesn't appear to be working correctly. The picture I open in Windows does not reflect the soft-proofed sRGB copy displaying in Lightroom. Furthermore, the soft-proofed copy doesn't appear any different than the original in a side-by-side comparison inside Lightroom. See
I recently went to remove a group of images from my lr classic catalog, as I've done thousands of times before, and nearly all my images were seemingly removed from the catalog. Not just missing with an exclamation point, fully gone with most all my collections saying 0 images. First assumption was I messed up "somehow" in selecting images, but after investigation I found that the catalog size is still larger than my most recent backup. The .lrcat file size of the backup is 2gbs, whereas my current catalog experiencing this issue is 2.2gbs, despite nearly all the images being seemingly removed. I would assume the catalog size would decrease drastically if all the images were truly removed. Additionally, not all the images were removed, there are still ~200 images remaining from across the years.I can restore my most recent backup, but it was from a couple months back as I have a bad habit of skipping until next time while closing LR classic. Due to the mentioned catalog size
Please move to Discussions.Link to post: (Issue with Grayed-Out Files Appearing After Importing Photos) by Mrsemcampbell https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-bugs/issue-with-grayed-out-files-appearing-after-importing-photos/idi-p/15339736 In the last few photo imports to my Lightroom catalog, I've noticed that every few photos, a grayed-out file appears in the grid view. These files don’t correspond to any actual images—they don’t show up in Finder, and they aren’t recognized as missing by Lightroom. It's as if Lightroom is generating placeholder files with no data. When I try to interact with these files (delete, edit, locate, etc.), nothing happens. Lightroom doesn’t respond to any commands related to them. The real issue comes up during the culling process: if any of these gray files are selected when I attempt to delete unflagged/rejected images, Lightroom throws an error and prevents the operation. I’m forced to manually deselect each gray file before I
Hello gang,Are there any LRC catalog utilities to scan the catalog for any errors or identify any possible issues?
Due to a series of unfortunate issues I'm forced to do a clean install of the Windows 11 and my Adobe products. my old system is still in operation and I do have a up to date lightroom backup. My question is when I restore with the the back up does cover all the continous lightroom history, file locations and collection settings. or should I save the entire lightroom folder and pull it back once I have the clean install completed? Second Thought Can I move lightroom to One Drive get it functioning there?
Hi I'm using the html/css/js tool from Adobe Lightroom Classic to generate code for web photo galleries. This is working on desktop, but on mobile I only have the first 5 images and I don't know why. In DevTools all images are loaded and displayed… Would anyone have identified and fixed this issue ? Could be in main.js file or in main.css file I suppose. Also posted this on Stackoverflow, here. (But could only paste the main.js file there, with main.js and main.css I reached the size limit…)
I'm using Lightroom Classic version 14.3.1. I'm on Windows 10, 64 bit. Whenever I import photos from my harddrive to Lightroom, they're significantly more pixelated and noisy than when I view them through the default Photos app on Windows. Lightroom still recognizes the correct dimensions for the photos, but whenever I export them the dimensions drop to 1365 x 2048. My .cr2 files are all between 20 to 25 megabytes but the exported ones are 3 or less. Even with photos I've already edited and exported at normal resolution, if I import those same files again the resolution drops when they're imported now. Anyone know how to fix this?
When attempting to open, I get the spinning ball for about 5 seconds, and then nothing.Go into task manager, it is listed in Background processes using 0% CPU, not listed in AppsI rebooted, uninstalled an reinstalled, Did alt/shift to reset preferences, checked for windows and driver updates.Nothing I have done so far has helped. I really need Lightroom working again. Any thoughts?
I see so many discussions and feature suggestions for changing the default sort order in LrC going back many years.Lightroom appears to default to capture time. With our workflow we need to sort by filename. It's one more step in our process that should be as simple as being able to specify our preference in Lightroom.Am I missing something or does Lightroom really not support sort defaults?
Hi. I have Lightroom & Lightroom Classis on my Windows 11 computer.I keep getting this annoying message. I have done the fix which said that to host file or something was fixed. Is there anything else I can try? The only thing I have not tried was to uninstall everything and install again. But I don't know if a normal uninstall will delete every little bit of adobe on my PC. I have no other Adobe products installed.Thanks.
Hi - is it possible to adjust individual slide durations to better suit the audio when making a slideshow?LR's "set to music" tab does an OK job but not perfect. Thanks
So, I looked around, seems more have this issue, even with more powerfull PCs. I did a test, with the parallel building on and off. The difference in CPU usage? EXACTLY THE SAME!I timed it twice, on and off, both times in 30 seconds, it only build about 20 previews in both cases. Not seeing ANY difference with it on or off, seems its bugged. I would expect to see atleast some difference. I have to build 4000 previews, this is insanly slow, I need to wait almost an hour to get them build. That's unworkable. It's a 12 core/24 thread CPU, which according to benches is faster then a desktop i7-12700K on multicore benches, which also should be a more then suffcient powerfull CPU.I'm on windows btw, and its the latesest LR but has been always like that. IMPROVE PHOTOS AND AUTOMATIC NEXT SELECTIONGood morning, I'm Luca and I use the Lightroom Classic license. I wanted to ask a question. Since I formatted my PC and reinstalled the Adobe package, I had a previous setting but unfortunately now it works the other way around. In practice!!! I click on a photo and I IMPROVE the photo with the button and the appropriate option, when it creates the second image at the end of the process, the photo that the program improved remains selected and the original raw one is deselected. I need the original ones to remain selected at the same time because I can delete them in a second, otherwise I have to select them and find them one by one. Before the formatting, it worked that the created and improved images were not selected, the originals remained selected. Is there another procedure that I can restore to be able to do this?I hope I was clear. Thanks
When I import iphone pictures to LrClassic and I am West of the meridian for some reason the Maps module assumes I am East and ends up getting the location wrong. The way to fix this is to manually append a N & W to the co-ordinates, as in 51°21'17.022" N 2°12'1.062" W. As it just imports 51°21'17.022" 2°12'1.062" from the phone metadata.Just noticed this with the new verion of LrClassic as in the past it has got this right.

I believe I have found a bug in Lightroom Classic. I am posting here in Discussions to confirm. Lightroom Classic Version Number: 14.3.1OS Version Number: Windows 11, Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100 I have configured my Lightroom Preferences: External Editing settings to have a preset called "Photoshop - JPEG", where the application is set to Photoshop.exe and the File Format is set to JPEG. When I select a photo and choose Photo: Edit In: Photoshop - JPEG from the main menu, I get the usual dialog box to choose whether to edit a copy or the original. In this dialog I can see that the File Format is correctly set to JPEG. However, when I click the Edit button in this dialog, Photoshop starts and immediately displays the message "Photoshop could not complete your request because of a program error." When I look in the folder where my photo is stored, I can see the copy that Lightroom has created, and the file extension of this copy is correctly set to .jpg. However, I can see t
I bought a plan 'Lightroom Plan 1TB' which stated it includes Lightroom Classic. But when I go to download it is not enabled for download and it asks me to by another plan, of the same price. Did I simply buy the wrong plan? People tell me that LrC was included in all Lightroom plans. I can find no way to contact Adobe support to get this resolved. I cannot use Lightroom in the middle of wildlife areas due to network. I need Lightroom classic, pure desktop. I tried to contact Adobe using the chatbot and it simply did not understand anything.
I have an interface problem in Adove Lightroom Classic in Develop mode. after updates of resent version, unable to do work in full screen view just like the screen shoot attached here. Image are shown in top-left corner not in center and full view. Kindly resolve the problem asap. Thank you
Have same problem as many others. All history disappeared when uppdating to the latest version of Lightroom on Windows 10. I am a professional photographer, and I am using two catalog files. One big and one smaller. Updated both. From the bigger, and most important one, I lost all history. The name of the updated catalog file is "Lightroom Catalog-2-2-v13-5.lrcat". The version of the updated Lightroom is "14.3.1 release". The catalog prior to the update was 27.2 GB. Ater the update it is 2.31 GB. The size of the lrcat-data file is now 429 MB. Prior to the update it was 470 MB. I have copied the "Old Lightroom Catalogs" folder to another place, as well as the newly created catalog files. Then I copied the two old back and restarted Lightroom by clicking on the catalog file. It updated to a new catalog, still called "...v13-5.lrcat", 2.31 GB in size, and without history. What should I do now??? When I updated the smaller catalog, it kept the history, but also kept the
Hola: Desde la última actualización no puedo archivar las fotos editadas. Tengo Windows 10 y mi PC no admite Windows 11. Estoy a punto de desinstalar la aplicación y buscar otra que me permita editar fotos NEF . La verdad es que es desesperante, yo no utilizo IA y no sé como hacer para que no se pueda activar. Gracias de antemano a quienes puedan ayudarme. Saludos. Carlos [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
When going to denoise an image in Lightroom I am getting the following error, I am on the latest version of Lightroom, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail, has anyone else found this and then a fix?TIA
