Lightroom Classic

I need help! I have a new computer so I downloaded all my presets to import onto my new computer lightroom. After I import them they do not show in the preset panel. I go to preferences then to presets and I see them in my "show all lightroom presets" option in the CameraRaw file. I know they are imported but I do not know how to get them to show on my panel. I do not have "store presets with this catelog" selected. I have updated, closed and restarted and nothing has help. I have managed the presets and they do not show as an option to check a box for them. Any advice would be great! 

Hi,I have a problem with folders and my catalog. I order them by year, in Lightroom and in Windows. But in Lightroom the year 2025 is shown above and outside of the main folder "Foto's". The hover shows the physical location, wich is the same as in Windows Explorer: How can I solve this, so that the year 2025 is a sub of "Foto's" in Lightroom?Dragging the folder 2025 into Foto's is not working. It gives an error: It says "There is already a folder with the name "2025" at this location", which is correct as can be seen in the Explorer screenshot.Kind regards, Jeroen   

Hi everyone!  I have been using Lightroom Classic for a little over a year and a half.  I came across an issue recently where my lightroom will constantly show the rainbow loader.  I have tried updating the app, deleting it, and re-downloading it.  I have also tried replacing my SSD drive to see if it was a failing drive.  I even tried making a separate catalog, but nothing is working.  I can't make any edits because every change I make causes the loader to pop up.  I am very frustrated because I have deadlines I need to meet and nothing is working.  I currently am editing on a Macbook M2 with 32 GB of RAM and 2TB of internal SSD.Does anyone have a solution to this?

Hi, perhaps I first need to say that I don't think that I'm stupid, at least that stupid, I think, and I'm not blind, as I look at my photos all the time on my Mac's screen ...  - - - Anyway, I don't find a way to add some note to myself so that I could remember later what things I found important considered for this particular photo. I'm a wedding photographer and always export 1000+ photos. Today it randomly won't allow me to export even 1 or 3 photos. There's no error, the files can all be found, it simply won't even pop up the window to export options/setting. I click export and nothing happens unless I shrink my selection to one or two images. please help!!!!   [moved from bugs to discussions in accordance with the community rules - Mod.]

My LrC has been painfully slow with editing due to masking tools causing LrC to "not respond."  The screen goes black, then when it comes back on, the brush tool specifically will have streaked a long line across the image.  I cannot get through a single image today.  5 hours on one image and I keep having to reset, restart.  I've talked with tech support and they thought it was because my onedrive was running, but that's clearly not it. Please please help - everything is up to day and computer is running great! 

After reinstallation of Lightroom I have been unable to get re-updated to the latest version and it seems that Adobe has lost any information of my registration of the software. Mostly the software seems to work as before but it seems to have one MAJOR PROBLEM. IT LOSES THE ENTERED KEY WORD DATABASE INFO. Needless to say this is a MAJOR PROBLEM!I have had a few time when closing the program I get the following message.lightroom.exe - Application Error The exception unknown software exception (0x40000015) occurred in the application at location 0x00007FFE6902AE22Click om OK to terminate the programIt seems exception # 0x0000015 is always the same but the location number changes Example another location # is 0x00007FFD42C4AE22The loss of the Keywords doesn't seem to be directly related to these messages though. I have checked a few time by reloading the Lightroom App immediately after getting the messages and after powering down and back on and the Keywords are still there. I h

Just a conversation. Over the years of color workflow I have experienced a lot of confusion and mixed results trying to manage my color output. I spent a lot of time getting the correct icc's, making sure my management was properly setup and doing test prints until I was able to WYSIWYG for photographs. These days it just all seems to work better? But what I really dont get is why? I have lots of different paper stock and I am not using any icc's and the print workflow is very basic-but the proof is that the prints tend to look great on the first )or sometimes second) try.  I still feel the page setup-printer setting-print dialog-print configuration is all way to cumbersome, but again the prints look good?  Why?

Hey there, I have recently created a preset using the Spyder Color Checker. I'm trying to apply said preset to all 200 images of the series other than by selecting each individually and clicking the preset. I've been working with LR since 10 years now, so I'm asking myself what's going on.I have found all sorts of (outdated) guides on how to achieve this, since the logical way via "Sync" doesn't seem to work - via Develop module, Quick Develop etc. Once I click any other image than the "root" image to check, no matter what I sync, the preset isn't being applied automatically. I just can't believe this can be that difficult. Hi there   I am on OSX MOnterey and use Lightroom Classic. Yesterday I was closing Lightroom and while save the catalog, Lightroom crashed. Unfortunately, the catalog is not there anymore. After re-opening Lightroom is says: "Cannot find catalog at /Users/myuser/Pictures/Lightroom/mycatalog.lrcat"   The folder "/Users/myuser/Pictures/Lightroom/Backups" does not contain any data. Somehow everything seems to be deleted (I did not delete anything). I tried to recover the missing ".lrcat" file using data recovery tools such as "Wondershare", "EaseUs", "Disk Drill" but none of these can find my catalog. Any idea what happened and how I can recover my catalog?

To be clear, I'm referring to the File | Plug-in Extras | Process with Topaz Photo AI, (not the right-click contextual "Edit in Topaz Photo AI")I use this plug-in frequently and would like to create a keyboard shortcut.  I'm using macOS 15.3 (Sequoia) and LrC 14.2. Thanks!

Whenever i select a mask for a subject it makes the subject go dark (this is not the mask overlay), if i come out of the mask selection the subject stays dark until i delete the mask. This is making editing very difficult. Please help

My lightroom classic has been fine. Today, I cannot open up my smart folders though! Help! 

I have this issue but without having any other maskes applied to the photo. In fact I completely reset the edit, to make sure of it, but the outline still remains. Has anyone come accross this?  [Branched off from another thread by moderator, because it is not the same issue as that thread]

I always compare photos in front of a client in the survey mode.  The client then moves a favourite photo into the next star rating .  So out of a batch of say  four in the survey mode i click on a photo say 2* and it used to just move that one photo into the two star folder.  Easy. Now - its putting all the photos highlighted in the survey mode  into the two star folder  WHY??

Hello. I've read some other topics about issues like mine but nothing that a i've tried worked for me. First of all, sorry for my bad english. The problem is that Images look very different between devolp and library modules. I'm using windows 11, lightroom classic 13.2,  an LG monitor ultrawike 29" 29wk600 model with  AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT video adapter importing using 1:1 previews and it doesn't matter what I try to do differente, the difference between the imagens in the modules are so different. In develop imagens looks sharper and with more texture as the example below: (first one from  develop and the second from library). Other example (first one from develop and second one from library) What do you think should I do to solve this, please? Thank you!

Hi, Two nights ago I had a serious problem. I quit and backed up my Lightroom Classic catalog (as I always do) after around 2 hours of sorting photos (over the past 2 months I have compiled 66,000 images and put them into folders). When I tried to open Lightroom again (to make my second backup on an external hard drive), the catalog was gone. The Lightroom start window opened, but all I could see on the screen was my second catalog (that I had transferred from LR 6). I am using LR 10.1. / MAC OS Catalina 10.15.7/ 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5/ 16 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X/ Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB (I might not find the right terms, sorry, I’m not a native speaker and my Lightroom menu is in a different language too). I then tried several times to open one of my catalog backups, to no avail. Hello, in a file lua, by a command, how can i get the imagepath of a selected image in lightroom:I selected images by:local images = catalog:getTargetPhotos()and now i need to get the images paths Thank you  

When I set the Limit aspect ratio for one picture, I can lock it by clicking the lock icon or press a while in 'R-Mode'.But I cannot set it as before to 'for all locked'. It is always after import in unlock Mode.I not even can sync it. When I set one picture to locked, than select a second picture and use the sync function, than both pics are unlocked after this action.Also I cannot save it into a preset. I need this 'always locked' ratio after import!

I got few panorama shots in which my prefered photo just need more background from the previous or next shots, but everytime I create Panorama, LR use my least favorite shot as the main picture and build the rest around it.  Besides of Photoshop, is there a way to force LR to use one particular image as the main canvas to build the panorama around it? 

Bonjour.   Depuis plusieurs mois, Lightroom Classique ne synchronise plus. J'ai essayé de nombreuses fois de dépanner selon les conseils trouvé sur Adobe et sur internet et aucuns résultats. En janvier le sevice de dépannage Adobe a essayé pendant deux jours de trouver une solution, mais aucunes améliotation. Ils ont aussi pris le contrôle à distance de mon ordinateur pour dépanner, mais rien n'a changé. J'ai génégé un dossier LrSyncDiagnostic.zip pour consultation et qui peut m'aider pour savoir que faire?   Merci beaucoup pour votre aide je désespère. Bonne journée.

I import my files from my camera's always to the same location. Then I edit them and when they are ready I move them fron that location to a location that suited for them. So al bird files go to the bird file location.   About 50% of the time it goes alright but in the other 50% of the time lightroom moves the files to the right location on the harddisk but tells that it was not possible and according Lightroom the files weren't moved at all but gives a location error.   I know how to correct it but it is annoying as hell and takes alot of time to correct it. Am I the only one who has this problem or an more people have this?I never see that Adobe mentioned this problem let alone they solved it.I have an other question. Is there a way in Lightroom to check the health of the libary so you can files other misplaced or mismoved files.Hope that somebody can give me a satisfying answer to solve this. Regards Han

Probleem met Lightroom Classic: Als ik in de ontwikkelmodule een masker aanmaak en een object geselecteerd krijg, krijg ik bij overlay niet alleen het geselecteerde object weergegeven, maar een groter gebied in de vorm van een rechthoek; ook als ik een persoon geselecteerde krijg een rechthoekige ipv de persoon. Ik heb Lightroom Classic verwijderd en opnieuw aanbevolen en ook een keer een vorige versie daarvan, maar niets helpt. Andere maskers werken wel zoals lineair en radiaal verloop, penseel, achtergrond, onderwerp. wie kan mij helpen? System Windows Home 11 (all updates installed) Lightroom Classic 14.2 Issue: Every JPG image that I try to save as Tiff using Topaz Software, NIK Software or Saving As... Tiff from Photo Shop the Tiff image appears at the LRC Library Module but it is not saved into the LRC Catalog. It only happens when I use a JPG image as a source. Always appears as a missing image.
