Lightroom Classic

Bonjour!J'utilise Lightroom sur mon PC (Windows 11) et depuis quelques mois je n'arrive plus à selectionner un "objet". Lorsque je souhaite selectionner un objet, cela me fait un "cadre de selection aléatoire" autour de l'objet en question. Hey yall. I bought a package that includes Lightroom and Lightroom Classic earlier today, and my payment went through and everything, but the application is still not letting me access it. PLEASE HELP I have tried everything and I have to edit pictures!!

I've spent a few hours trying to troubleshoot this issue. I have a new Epson SureColor P700 printer, but can't get it to print from Lightroom Classic v9.3.  Trying to isolate the problem, I spent an hour on the phone with Epson, who concluded it's a Mac problem, and then another hour with Apple, who concluded it's a Lightroom problem. I won't go through all the troubleshooting steps we took, but I did uninstall and reinstall the Epson driver three times, and checked virtually every setting on the Mac side. On the recommendation of the Epson rep, I've "reset the Mac printing system" several times by deleting the printer and all associated files and adding it back in. Didn't fix the problem. After lots of experimentation, the Apple rep decided the problem lies with the Printer Settings that are available in the Print dialog box that you get when you hit Print in Lightroom. I'm able to print to the P700 from other applications, and also by selecting the Bonjour version of the pr

I left town for 10 days, it was working fine the day I left. Came back and tried to open LRC and it froze. I force quit after a few minutes, sent a crash report, and tried again. It kept freezing. I restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled LRC, and cannot think of what to do next. PS and LR are working fine. Macbook Pro, M3 Max, Sequoia 15.3.1LRC Version 14.2

Hello  I just bought the new version of lightroom classic. I also bought a preset from a photographer that I used before (in the old lightroom version that has now been removed). When I want to import the preset into the new lightroom I get an error message 'Cannot import preset. All items are already imported.' I'm using a plugin for Publish Services that uploads photos to an online gallery for clients to view. There is a feature/bug such that Lightroom finds the four digit sequence number in the filename and replaces it with its own counter starting from 0001. It does this even when the sequence number is in the middle of the filename.The authors of the plugin point to a Lightroom issue rather than anything to do with the plugin.Has anyone come across this and found a way to stop the filenames changing? It makes the files really hard to identify later. 

I have exactly the same problem. Select object worked fine until a few weeks ago, but now crashes Lightroom 9 times out of 10. All drivers up to date. I'd be very grateful for a solution to this from Adobe, bearing in mind we're all forking out good money month after month for the product.

I have LR auto identify my camera and lens profile whether it's the orignal NEF or DNG file created via denoise. If I edit either of those images in Photoshop either as a TIF or PSD, Lighroom can no longer identfiy the camera or lens profile. Why is this? Driving me mental....

I've been having this issue for several weeks.  While being teethered to my 2017 Imac Intel with Ventura OS, my lightroom will lockup and not respond and I'll have to force quit.  This happens several times a day with no rhyme or reason.  I'm shooting with a canon 6d Mark II.  I've done the following:1: Started a new catalog2: Reverted to several different Older versions of LR, currently on 14.0.1, Camera RAW 17.  3: Reset the Pref4: Switched the GPU to auto   Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks

Greetings, I've had this problem for a few months.  On my Mac Pro 2019 (Intel Mac running Mac OS Sequoia 15.3), Lightroom Classic 14.2 starts normally and works for a few seconds.  Then it goes into beach ball.  It stays on top of other applications and is completely frozen for about 30 seconds.  Eventually it unfreezes and I can continue my work.  This problem happens systematically, regardless of whether a camera is plugged in, computer freshly restarted, etc. A while ago I found a log file which showed that Lightroom was looking for something, but I don't remember where this log is on the Mac. Lightroom already has full disc access.  I've tried resetting the preferences, no luck.  The other Adobe apps run fine.  Can anyone help? Thank you, Jf

Hi all, Hoping someone can help me.  I have an Adobe plan with Lightroom & Photoshop included.  Both have worked fine for years, however I now have a new PC (much more powerful than my last) & whilst Photoshop still works, Lightroom Classic is being very slow to launch (stuck ages on "reading preferences" on the splash screen, then any slider I click on in the development module is taking 2-3 minutes to ungrey itself out. Importing images is lightning quick, as is rendering 1:1 previews.  I've increased my cache & tweaked the GPU accelerator - no difference on either change. I've had to revert back to an old copy of LR5 which doesn't support the raw files I'm currently creating, meaning a very manual workflow including a raw to dng converter. A family member who's very techy worked with me for 2 hours on the weekend looking for solutions & doing checks - we cannot find anything. Can anyone suggest anything or can Adobe advise if t

Hi,I was trying out the tethering function in Lightroom but can't get it to work. I have been using the Imaging Edge software but wanted to switch to lightroom but in Lightroom it doesn't seem to detect my camera. It is just stuck on detecting camera but not finding anything. I am using the Sony A7IV with a tether cable (tetherpro) What I tried:- Updated the firmware of my camera- Lightroom is latest version- Reset Lightroom Classic preferences- And tried all these steps, did nothing: Fix tethered shooting in Lightroom So hopefully u guys have any ideas? Hello, This is my first post on here. I've been using Lightroom Classic for a while, and am happy with most of the  results although I'm far more of a "try it and see" editor than knowing all the theory. My project is making a photobook from a lot of scanned negatives and slides, mainly colour, from the '80s and '90s. I bought a scanner and am happy with the results. I'm exporting as .tiff files, as positives. There is some editing within the scanner software, but it doesn't seem too intrusive. Many of the images are good - well exposed and in focus. Others are out of focus, or have motion blur. When experimenting with the "Shake Reduction" option in Photoshop a few years ago, I got some great results, to the extent that many images I dismissed as rubbish back in the day now looked very good. I've also had some success with Topaz De-noise and Sharpen. My questions are: 1) What are the best De-noise options to use? Is there a Lightroom Classic function that effe

Latest Lightroom Version (V14.2)M4 IMAC, 32GB Memory, Running Latest OS (Sequoia 15.4.1) I am currently dealing with an issue where having my GPU On is causing the colors in Lightroom to shift and cause the color to be innaccurate on screen VS. what is exported. I have narrowed this issue down to Lightroom alone, as photoshop and preview both show the correct image colors, and my iPhone also shows the image colors correctly compared to photoshop and preview. When I turn the GPU Off in Preferences, the colors revert back to being accurate. Unfortunately, Lightroom is not worth using with it Off, as the resolution of the image I am editing drops to a blurry mess when I adjust anything in Develop. I have tried changing my ICC profiles through the defaults on the IMAC, and I have also calibrated the display using my SpyderX Pro. These affect the display as they should, but the Lightroom images still display innaccurately. Fairly certain there is something going on betwe

I am using LRC v14.2. When I remove a keyword from a file in LRC, it does disappear from the Keywording panel, but when I look at the metadata for that same photo using another program, that keyword is still written in the file on the disk. How do I completely remove the keyword from the file so that it doesn't show up on any programs/apps?

After editing some, not all, DNG files in LrC I'm finding the previews are being corrupted when the files are viewed in Windows 10 Explorer.  A screenshot of what's happening is attached.   I've got LrC set up so that edits are being saved into the DNGs (or as side-car files for raw images I've not yet converted to DNG). The files are not corrupted per-se, when looking using the browser in Adobe Bridge they are fine, as they are when viewed in LrC and Lr.   Is this a Windows 10 thing?  I know I need to update my system soon...   Is this Explorer preview failure happening for anyone else?

All updated versions of everything. This 'eye' when clicked on changes the image to some sort of preset. I don't know how to neautralize the preset as I only want to make a copy of the image to work on and keep the original as it is when viewed in the filmstirp. How do I make 'no change' when I want to make an image copy to work on? TIA, Ken

I think this is actually a bug but will report it here and the moderators can decide if it is a bug. Lightroom Classic 14.2 on Mac mini with Apple M2 Pro, 32GB, Sonama 14.7.1.  This is a with a fairly new catalog with not many images. If I start with a new image with lots to be cleaned up:I use the new Remove tool and spend 20 minutes cleaning up the image:I quit Lightroom and restart and my edits are gone but I have a message "Some Remove settings need to be updated":I click "Update All" and wait around 4 minutes for the updates to complete. They finish but the image is not what it was before I quite.  i.e. the updates don't work properly and I have to clean up the image some more. 1) Lightroom should NOT lose the edits just by quitting2) If it is going to lose the edits, refreshing them should put it back the way it was before it lost the edits.

After performing a search or filtering images in Library view, sometimes the file names won't show up until I mouse over that particular image. Sometimes they show up on their own, but not always.In options, top label is set to 'copy name or base file name' Using LRC 14.2 on Studio Mac running os 15.4 Anyone else experiencing this this? Have you found a fix?

I need help!!!! Some time ago, my hard drive died on me… (I know, I should’ve done a backup—don’t rub it in)… of course, I had all my RAW files on there… Luckily, I managed to recover most of the JPGs from previews using a script, but they don’t have any EXIF data. Today I realized that even though the metadata isn’t present in the JPG files themselves, I can see it in Lightroom… I really need that data to be embedded in the JPGs. I tried using a program to extract and inject the metadata into the files, but it didn’t work… But if I can see the data in Lightroom, that means it has to be stored somewhere, right? Can someone help me? I’ve asked ChatGPT, my son who knows Python, some saints, and burned through all my patience… can you give me a hand?

I do real estate editing exclsuively. Recently, the "select sky" tool in LR Classic 14.2 is not working. When I select sky and apply an edit and then synch the sky edit to additional files the sky frequently reverts to its originall state. It seems to be getting worse.Today it started reverting those edits when exposrting to PS, which never happened before. It has also started negating remove tool edits now.Anybody else have this issue?I have uninstalled/reinstalled

Hi. When I upload photos from my sony a7iii to my phone then share them on lightroom to edit. Lightroom automatically adds colour so I'm wondering is there a setting I can turn off for this please. Thank you 

Hi, I did a job last week am trying to sort out me archive and work on some pictures. I had someone editing for me and have about 10 folders of different pictures - from original raws to captioned jpegs and a folder that went to my picture library. I want to make sure I have all the pictures in my archive and don't lose any. The folder of captioned jpgs is not in the library where I thought it was and I want to copy the metadata and captions across to the raws so they can be searched and found in the future. I searched for the file name of the first image (commandF, in the library filter at the top, clicked Text-Any searchable field - contains) , but the 'No photos match the filter' line comes up. The folder on my hard drive had 142 images in it, but the folder in lightroom said it had zero. When I tried to re-import the images LR said that the images were already in the library, but as the search didn't work, I don't know where. As a result, I can't caption the images.
