Lightroom Classic

I know it's an common issue, but still couldn't find a solution to that. When I switch between the Library tab (all images have Standard previews) and Develop tab, they look alot different. When I export the images and they look like the Library preview. When I turn off in Preferences... the Use Graphics Processor, then Develop looks alike the Library, but the performance is drastically down.   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

I've changed the default development settings (enabling lens corrections) several years ago, I think it was in Lightroom 5 or 6 (perpetual license).  I used the menu Develop - Set Default Settings... to do that.   Now I like to reset these settings and I don't find this menu item. It seems Adobe has delete this in the one of the newer version of Lightroom!?   I don't find a way to reset these settings. Does anybody know a trick to do that. Or must I do that with own presets that are assigened during import?     

I too am having terrible problems with my Lightroom crashing. I have made many calls to the support line but still not resolver. I have a new Windows PC . Now I cant even install Lightrrom Classic from my Adobe account page. Help needed. Really getting very fed up as I need it for my biusiness. 

Hello everyone, I'm haveing an issue that I've never experieced before. I'm trying to export my edited image for web use and I would like to get the file down to around 500kb. I set the limit in my export options but it keeps exporting at a file size of 3.5 mb.  I have pasted my settings below. It only does this to my edited raw. I can export the raw with no edits with the desired limits. I'm not sure what the difference is. The file is flattened in both instances. *SIDE NOTEI am working with virtual copy and I ran a simple test and created a new virtual copy from the unedited RAW and then exported from the unedited VC and the Unedited Raw and the unedited VC still exported at a larger file (600kb) the CR2 file exported under 500kb. So is there something to Virtual copies adding more data to a file?I did another test to see if I can just paste my setting from my edited virtual copy to my original unedited raw but and still got an export that was 3.5 mb.  A

Dear all I have start to play with Lightroom SDK. And I have asked Several AI to create a simple plugin. In all cases, the plug in is not working. The IA forget to load namespace, The AI invent namespaces (LrExportPreset for exemple), the AI invent function in the namespace like LrFileUtils.isDirectory, etc, etc ChatGpt and DeepSeek are the less awful ones. Gemini is the worst awful one. In fact the problem it that those AIs have a low level of knowledge of the Lightroom SDK.  I was wondering if there is some AI more trained to lua with Lightroom SDK ? just for testing purpose Thanks    

Hello I have Lightroom Classic and just did an update to the most recent version (it's been awhile) and when I went to open LR I got this notice below. This makes be a bit nervous as in the past I had bad issues with another update. Will all my images be accessible in this new catalog or do I need to jump back and forth between the new and old one?Is someone can simply explain this that would be helpful. Thank you!   

I saw in the recent updates that this was fixed, but it isn't for me. I go to "Email photo," the "Apple Mail 1Photo" dialog opens. I used to be able to just click SEND and it would create an e-mail in Apple Mail. Now the "Preparing file for E-mail" counter counts down, but nothing makes it to e-mail. With or without an e-mail address filled in.   Any ideas?   Mac 10.15.7 Email 13.4.   Thanks!

Having upgraded to v14.2 I was keen to use adaptive profiles.   However, they are not showing in my basic panel - I have the adobe profiles etc.  I am using Panasonic RW2 images and am wondering if LrC is not recognising RW2 files as RAW?   I have had no other issues using LrC and RW2 files.     Anybody have any thoughts/advice? Thanks  

LrC catalog has crashed repeatedly for a few weeks now. I send the crash reports to Adobe. every time. I am doing different things when it crashes. often on importing files and converting to DNG. when i reboot and run the rebuild it starts up where i find one file could not be read to convert to dng. the rest are added to the catalog as CR3 files. I delete the "bad" file, convert the rest to DNG which goes fine.There are numerous other crashes while doing various things in different modules, usually the develope module where i spend most of my time.Today LrC could not launch my catalog and i had to download LrC and log into my acct with a new catalog and change my password. The new catalog has non of my files and only exclamation marks for my most recent file import of 36 imagesWhat should i do next?Oh, and when i went to log into the community the language was Korean but my language pref in Windows is still English. The community login is what forced my to change my PW.I use windowsAl

LrClassic on my Windows 10 computer worked fine for years. This week it shows slow behavior, when it opens up it only shows the first few pictures in the gallery it opens in, but then moving to a different folder of pictures it cannot preview them. It won't respond when I try to select an item from the menu. Eventually I get the message from Windows that LrC is not responding.   So what happened? The last I remember when it functioned is it wanted to backup the library file? and since then it has not worked.

I digitize art for artists and shoot with a Nikon D850 tethered to my HP OMen I-7 laptop. This has been my set up for a couple years and it has worked well. Today, when I start LR Classic, it doesn't complete the load. It loads up to the point where it should show the images in the catalog and stalls. This happens whether the tether HDMI cable is attached or not. All updates were done prior to today. I have uninstalled LRC and reinstalled, I have rebooted several times, I have shut the computer down for a couple minutes before trying again. For the last several hours, it has only booted up correctly once and then I had to reboot to establish a color preset for this shoot, and of course it did not come back up. Recently, I’ve had a problem exporting images. When exporting an image of a clear blue sky, the resulting jpg file has waves of blue or banding that are non-existent in the original file. I’ve experimented with the Output Sharpening Amount – low, medium, high – with the same result. Files are being used in a Wordpress blog, but I see the banding in the jpg file before uploading.Here are the export settings I’m using: Windows 10, version 22H2Lightroom classic ver – 12.1

I upgraded my LRC to the new version 14.2 but the new Adaptive Color Profiles do not appear listed in the Profile panel even after rebooting my computer. Where are they?

I have an issue while creating 1:1 previews in Lightroom Classic. The Disc C: is getting full when there are more than 1000 pictures generated at once. The disc is getting so full that there isn't any free space left and I have to restart the system. After restarting the system everything goes back to normal. I'm sending the screens in attachments. I often have 8000 pictures from one wedding and I didn't have any problems like this a few months back. I haven't changed anything since then. I generate previews only, without any presets or adjustments.  I optimized the catalog, purged cache and deleted all the old previews (also the  previews file) and it didn't help). Of course I also made all the updates. Looking forward to your feedback, I can't work like this any longer! Thanks in advanceAnia

I am going through multiple similar pictures to reject the ones of lower quality.I don't use any filters.The problem is that, whenever I reject a Candidate picture, it becomes the Selected picture.The Selected and Candidate change place.Any idea what I am doing wrong? I find it hard to believe this is intended functionality.  

Hey guys. How do you exit a catalog and go back to being able to view all your photo folders under folders.Lightroom classic defaults to opening the catalog you had been working on. I do not use catalogs all the time so I just want to be able to exit the catalog and just work in lightroom with access to all folders.ThanksJohn

Hi there. I have been using LRC for years, so I know quite a bit about it. However, I have been struggling with this issue for months and have tried every workaround I can think of. I hope someone out there knows how to fix it.  The issue: In my folder pane, when I create or move a folder in LRC, the folder moves/is made, but then a big chunk of my folders disappears. I have to restart the program to see all the folders again. It is so annoying and really taking up too much time in my workflow. Does anyone else have this issue?  Not a lag issue: I have my catalog running on my fastest internal drive and don't believe it is a lag issue since it never resolves unless I restart. I have the problem on both versions---on my laptop and my high-performance PC system. I have checked all the settings I can think of, and nothing is set to be hidden. The whole nested structure shows unless I move or create a new folder. I have tried to flatten my folder architecture

Hello all, I am all of the sudden getting this error in my lightroom classic, I am running on a macOS Monterey, the error says that it has encountered an error with the local sync database and needs to quit. I push learn more to restoore from a cloud backup that I do not have, and the instructions that say how to solve make no sense as I don't have any of the files they describe. Does anyone have any extra insight with this error? I've uninstalled and reinstalled and it remains with the same error. Thanks for your help! Kalyn
