Lightroom Classic

When I send a image from library to develop the colours change, this has only just started to be an issue.

Issue: When looking at single images in the Library module, lightroom replaces the image with a blank, bright green (or red if LR is maximized) image. This happens to some images in 'FIT', and all images if I zoom to 100%. Does not happen in X\Y. Version: Lightroom Classic version: 11.5 [ 202208080927-8a575c91 ]Mac Pro (2017) 3.2 Ghz 8-core Intel Xeon W. 64gb ram, Radeon Pro Vega 56 8gb, 15% of hd freeMac OS: Monterey 12.0.1 I tried turning off my graphics card processing, no change. Bizarrely, when I just took a screen shot of the red screen, the color changed and the screen cap itself shows some sort of transparency. NO IDEA what that means. Anyone have any suggestions? No other problems with the computer. Thanks! 

Since I updated lightroom to version 14.2 it is virtually unusable. It takes forever to launch, it crashes, the masking tools are very slow, and the moving from one thumbnail to another takes forever.

I am new the writing lightroom plugins, and am trying to make a plugin that generates a unique identifier for images to be help with tracking variants of images in my sales workflow. The plugin needs to treat each virtual copy of the same image seperately so that the unique id is not duplicated anywhere in the catalog. I am trying to use a custom metadata field for the unique identifier and have been setting it using the "setPropertyForPlugin" method. However, I notice that the metadata field is copied over to a virtual copy when the original photo has the metadata field populated. Is there a way to prevent a metadata field from being duplicated in a virtual copy?

In my video files, Lightroom often arranges my videos on the basis of when they were imported, not when they were shot. Is there a way to fix this?

I just got a new MacBook Pro. I've tried to open LR C but it crashes before it ever opens. Does anyone have any ideas? If I uninstall will I loose all my presets and settings? Everything is updated to the latest version.

I am going through my images multiple times and am adding to my designated target collection by using the keyboard shortcut "B".I can't remember all the images that I added previiously. If the image is already added to the collection, it gets removed when I want to "add" it (again).Is there a keyboard shortcut that only adds but does not remove images from collections?

Up to 2 times a day, I get this message and must start building preview again.Every time I re-build the previews, the preview file gets bigger and bigger.I am using newest LR and MacOS 15.3.1

I have my Lightroom Classic catalog and Adobe Lightroom folder on my cloud storage that i specified, i can always sync back successfully but this time i am not sure what is going on, i pointed the sync folder to the location i want but it didn’t change anything, when i click again it will always set to the default folder in Pictures. My Adobe lightroom is empty now. Also, the Collection used to be the folder in my Lightroom because my institude changed the license so i need to relogin again but it is consider new profile.I have reinstalled two times, removed the preferences also useless. Please help me

Recently came across a bug where a message stating:"An internal error has occurred: DatabaseCatalog-v13-3.lrcat": UNIQUE constraint failed: AgLibraryKeywordImage.id_localsql: INSERT INTO AgLibraryKeyword1mage( id_local, image, tag ) VALUES( ?); (error code 1555)"when creating a virtual copy in a photo with items in the keyword field in Lightroom Classic Build [202502071718-3869eef7]. Removing all entries in the keyword field eliminated the problem.The error seems to have gone away after a restart of lightroom but I bet the bug team would want to have a look anyway.

when I choose Adobe RGB profile and clicking show warning gamut monitor, lightroom show me warning area as expected (blue area in the 1st image) but if I choose sRGB profile, lightroom show me a completely unexpected warning area (garnet area on 2nd image).where's the catch?   

Ich möchte meinen Bildbestand (ca 70.000)in LR classic nach einem Farbton, z.B. Rot zu filtern.Ich meine NICHT nach Farbmakierung. hat jemand einen Rat? Es soll ein Plug in namens LrColor geben.  Aber ich kann nichts finden. Danke und viele Grüße  Lars Thomsen  

In Lightroom CC I would move RAW photos from my local drive to cloud in order to use the cloud presets. After I was done editing, I would "archive" them back to my local drive. This would save the xmp file to my hard drive. I want to open these files in Lightroom Classic to do some further edits on the RAW photos, but it's not reading the xmp file. What am I doing wrong?    I am able to get the edits if I leave them in cloud and make a new catalogue that snycs to cloud, but I don't want all those photos sitting in the cloud.  I tried syncing the local file catalogue. That didn't do anything. Neither did "Read metadata from file."

I have a large number of images from a trip to India that were wrongly formatted to 16:9 in camera (Sony A700) the full image available on the Sony editor but I cannot save it to light room. I believe DNG Recover Edge plug-in would recover the situation but I cannot find on the Adobe web-site. Can anybody help please.Alun 

Today I wanted to edit photo's in Lightroom Classic but when I open the application (MacOS) it keeps loading. The app is updated today it says in the creative cloud. I'm located in the Netherlands. How can I solve this issue? Restarting and shutting down and starting again does not help. Please see attachment. Thanks!

When I use the mask to adjust, the picture has no effect

The before view (\) no longer displays the original untouched image. Only changes after the initial import. So if a preset ("Develop Setting") was applied when importing, the "before" view displays the preset already applied.

Bonjour, Lors de l'utilisation de l'outil SUPPRIMER dans LR Classic (version 14.1.1 sous Mac OS 15.3) pour nettoyer par exemple des taches sur un meuble (ex. dans la photo jointe)  j'ai un très mauvais rendu au niveau qualité lorsque je consulte l'image à 100% de zoom une fois l'outil SUPPRIMER utilisé.  C'est le cas quel que soit le support (bois, carrelage, autre). Le cercle de l'outil est visible et l'image de remplacement est de qualité inferieure (cf. photos jointes).  Avez-vous une idée de ce qui peut se passer, ou ce que je fais mal ? Merci ! 

! have been usung Lightroom since its inception (circa 1995 2006) and have many years of editing in both LTC and PS. However I reedently upgraded LRC and now cannot get it to load. There is no response when I click on LRC buttonPlease help me to overcome the dificulty..  I notice on my profile that I have uused 250/250 credts,. Solo veo cuadros grises en su lugar.Cuando intento ver una imagen en el navegador, desaparece y solo veo una pantalla gris.Lo que ya he intentado:Actualizar los drivers de la tarjeta gráfica (tengo los más recientes).Restablecer la caché de Lightroom (borré la carpeta C:\Users\TuUsuario\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom).Borrar los archivos de previsualización (*.lrdata).Restablecer los ajustes de Lightroom manteniendo Shift + Alt al abrir la aplicación.Reinstalar Lightroom Classic (desinstalé y volví a instalar la versión más reciente desde Creative Cloud).Instalar Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022.Desactivar el antivirus temporalmente por si estaba bloqueando algún archivo.Probar con diferentes catálogos (el problema ocurre con todos).El problema solo ocurre en Lightr

Lightroom Classic lastest version (8.2)Windows 11 My editing style uses a lot of masking to get images where I want them to be. The firsts masks 1st to 3rd are good, not smooth but workable. After that 4th mask and beyond that the creation of the mask and the edit of it are super slow and with bad performance. Outside of Lightroom with other apps/games to test computer performance they have awesome outcome, I not sure what to do here, because Lightroom Classic isn't that heavy of an app

lightroom keeps crashing while trying to import raw images (canon R5II) Im using a Macbook Pro M4 48ram  Ive tried importing from a external ssd and from the desktop. both result in crashes. Im able to select the folder and them boom, cest fini. it crashes.    Things ive done so far: restarted the computer. Shut down and started. uninstalled lightroom. rolled back lightroom. Since using Lightroom classic on a mac I have had problems with large photoshop (3gb plus) files corrupting when I add final metadata in lightroom. What may be happening is that because the files are big it takes time for the metadata to be save and if I change the filename the file becomes corrupted. Or it may be that I am opening the files for final checks in photoshop before the metadata is properly saved to the files. As lightroom seems to chang the metadata in the background I have no idea when the metadata has been saved. Either way I am getting far too many corrupted files after a final metadata change before despatching the files. When trying to open the corrupted files the error says that one or more layers are corrupted and photoshops asks if I want to flatten the image after which it says the file is an unrecognised format. These are .psb files. Any ideas or is this a bug that needs looking at as I am loosing too many hours re-doing difficult images? Thanks Paul Williams
