Lightroom Classic

Hi there.  Never had an issue renaming my images before; I have my custom file naming set up as always.  When I go to rename, it somehow changes the star rating on it and the image disappears to a lower star rating.  It's looking like the original file name suffix option for renaming isn't working and it glitches and does something else??  Been using LR since it was built, so this is weird...this particular instance is post PS editing a tif...not sure that has anything to do with it.   Has anyone experienced this?  Is there troubleshooting I can do?  I work in volume, so this needs to get fixed asap....thank you in advance!Astri

Recently LC is no longer importing images.  I have tried to import directly from a CF card or SD card, also by copying to my hard drive first and then importing from hard drive, either way the import process shows the images to be imported but when I import all that shows in LC is grey boxes.  The import shows that the images were imported but the grey boxes do not respond to any develop or other module views.I currently have more than 30,000 images in my LC catalog.I am using an Apple Mac Studio running Sonoma 14.6 and LC 14.2.What is happening? How can I fix this?

Hello, all my settings are on Dutch (Nederlands). Still, when i open photoshop and lightroom classic, they present in English. I followed the selfstudieguide, but when i open the app-side, i can't set any settings for in stalling.Is there anybody who can help me???

When I want to select the teeth of an entire group and I go to > Create Mask > Select People > All People and then select Teeth I get a terrible unusable mask. But if I go in an manually select each person lightroom detects one by one the mask is fine. It would save some time to not hae to manually select each one and just do all, but the all people doesnt make good mask when selecting teeth. Its been that way since day one of this feature and hasn't gotten any better over time. Seems like there is some kind of bug preventing the proper mask to be created when using all people. Is there any reason why this should work this way? Thanks!

Seit ich einen neuen Mac Mini M4 nutze kann ich keine Rauschreduzierung in LrC mehr durchführen. Das Vorschaubild blitzt nur kurz auf und verschwindet dann wieder, dann kommt im weiteren ein unbekannter Fehler. Kann mir jemand helfen?

I have been using my MacBook Pro  for all of my editing. I keep my RAW files on an external SSD, but the catalog is on the laptop harddrive.I will be getting a Mac desktop for home; I want to have the same LR Classic  catalog for both computers and will continue to have all of my RAW files on external SSD.1. Am I correct that having the  LR Classic catalog also on the SSD will allow me to see all of my edits seamlessly on either computer once I have the same SSD plugged in?2. Please tell me how to move the catalog to the SSD?  Do I simply copy and paste? 3. There are several components to the catalog; do I copy all of them? Thank you for your help!Theresa

LR 2015.12 / CR 9.12 / Build 1125239 on Windows 10When editing a photo in the Develop Module, I occasionally tab and shift-tab between values to quickly enter/change them, specifically the Presence (Clarity/Vibrance/Saturation) values. Sometimes when I do this, I get stuck into an infinite loop of modal error dialog boxes which is super annoying.When the bug occurs, a grid appears on my photo, and the text box for entry next to "Distortion" appears enabled with focus, but I can't type anything in the box. Every time this text box loses focus, I get stuck in an infinite loop of modal dialogs popping up with "Invalid Numeric Entry. A number between 0 and 200 is required. Last value inserted." Unfortunately because the box is disabled, there is no last value, and focus continually returns to the disabled field I can't type anything into. Wash, rinse, repeat. I can't disable or collapse anything in the Develop module sidebar to pop focus back to an enabled text entry box.Workaround:Before

I have been using lightroom for years now and don't believe I've ever had this issue before.. When I upload my images, i go into develop, and some of my images will flicker green right as they are uploading and then its fine, no other issues after that.. I have opened the same images in photoshop, and also looked at them through preview and don't have the problem. So not sure whats going on? 

Hallo,bei mir funktioniert seit kurzem die Funktion KI-Entrauschen nicht mehr. Ich habe sie vorher schon oft problemlos verwendet. Ich habe es sowohl bei Lightroom Classic (17.0.1) probiert, als auch mit Lightroom (8.0). Ich verwende Camera Raw 17.0.Lightroom Classic: Es kommt gar keine Fehlermeldung, er macht einfach nur nichts. Vorschau wird geladen, 1s angezeigt, dann nur noch grau; beim Klick auf Verbessern schließt sich das Fenster und für 1 Sekunde zeigt sich oben ein Arbeitsbalken, es gibt aber keine ausgabe.Lightroom: Die Vorschau wird richtig geladen. Beim Klick auf Verbessern kommt die Fehlermeldung "Das ausgewählte Foto wird von dieser Funktion nicht unterstützt". Ich verwende Sony ARWs und Nikon NEFs. Ich hab auch schon versucht, die RAWs in DNGs zu konvertieren, aber mit demselben Ergebnis. Und das kann dann ja irgendwie nicht sein, dass selbst ein DNG nicht unterstützt wird? Guten Morgen,warum ist bei mir bei der Personensuche bzw. -identifikation die Möglichkeit eine Person abzuwählen verschwunden (rechts unten das rote Kästchen). Ich kann nur links nur mit dem grünen Haken zustimmen oder den Namen ändern. HAb ich da irgendeine falsche einstellung vorgenommen?Viele GrüßeRainer

Ever since I updated to Lightroom Classic 13.5 anytime I use masking especially the AI masking, it makes Lightroom come to a complete stall.  I have to restart Lightroom to make it usable again.  If I'm not using masking Lightroom is incredibly fast for me.  I tried updating and version 14 was worse so went back to 13.5 but still bad.  I have a really great system and had no issue with version 13.2.  However, recently I upgraded my GPU thinking that would help.  It did not.  Everytime I use masking on an image, I have to restart Lightroom.  My specs for my computer are super above their minmum requirement and as I mentioned Lightroom is super fast outside of masking.  I'm super frustrated because I'm unable to use half of what Lightroom can do and we pay too much money for this program not to be able to use.  Again, this has been an issue ever since Lightroom 13.5.  It isn't just me as forums are filled with others having the same

Since the last update 14.0..1 my copy and paste is not working as it used to. I can now only past once and if i want to paste same settings which were copied I have to recopy the settings again to past onto another image. Saw some people have simiir issues. I tried to reset prefrences but that did not work. in the past I copy as setting of one photo and paste to other photos as long as I needed it , now that does not work for me anymore.

I've had it in the past where some photos get hung up on the syncing screen and never actually sync. Right now I have it knocked down to 17 but every time I upload more photos then there's always a few from every collection that gets hung up.   I have gone in and tried to add stars to get it to resync, I have deleted some and added them back in with no luck, and I just rebuilt sync data. I still am getting the same 'uploading' activity with no progress.   What other ways can I get it to sync properly? I'm on Windows 11 LR Classic version 14.2 and I do have a zip file with LR diagnostics from syncing.   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

My basic issue is that Library previews do not update reliably in Lightroom Classic after work is done on a TIFF file in Photoshop, whether the “edit (original) in Photoshop” command is used, or the file is simply opened from the Finder and edited. It started a few months ago. It’s intermittent: sometimes previews update immediately, perhaps half the time, though it seems to be getting worse. Sometimes I can force Previews to update using one of several methods gleaned from this forum or other research (see below), sometimes nothing will work except re-saving the file in PS, then reimporting it to LR, OR making an (un-needed) adjustment in the Develop module to trigger preview update in Library. The excellent Lightroom Queen web site suggested I try a bug report as they couldn't come up with a solution for me. After several weeks troubleshooting I’ve learned that making an adjustment to a parameter in Develop, even a very small one, seems to trigger the preview to appear correctly

Why is it that in my development mode, the thumbnail and the images turn completely black, as if they have disappeared? I’m unable to do anything. When I navigate to the next item, it suddenly applies some kind of edit without me even hovering over any of the presets with my mouse. 

When i import images from my memory card into lightroom the images on the memory card are deleted. Why does this happen and how do i stop it from happening?

When moving files between folder within Lightroom it sometimes remove the GPS information in EXIF. It had never did that in the past. have the latest version for Windows. 

Across our large scale enterprise network, we're receiving reports from users of LrC crashing when they click the 'Export' option (File -> Export).   I'm unsure what's causing this. We run a proxy on our infrastructure, and all of the necessary Adobe Endpoints have been whitelisted per this whitepaper - https://helpx.adobe.com/au/enterprise/kb/network-endpoints.html   Is there anything I'm missing here? Hi all,I have ARC A-series GPU at the moment and it is mostly okay for what I need. Stable and fast enough for my every day stuff. Only gripe is that if using AI based denoise in Lightroom - it's slow as hell.  I don't need this feature much, but would be nice to have, if needed. Topaz and other 3rd party tools seem to be okay.As I understand, it is a bug with Intel drivers after fixing another one a year or so ago. Intel does not have any updates yet, when it will be fixed, it is listed only as known issue.It seems that all complaints are for A series GPUs. So I wonder if someone has newer B series GPU and could try, how much time denoise would take with it. I am thinking about replacing the GPU, but getting RTX4060 or similar entry level Nvidia GPU is way more expensive here, than getting next generation ARC. And I am quite budget restricted at the moment, so would prefer best bang for the buck solution if possible.

Error messge is 'Lightroom Classic quit unexpectedly'. I get the message when quitting Lightroom. Running Lightroom 14.1.1 on Mac OS 13.7.2 (22H313) Ventura. Issue only started after updating to the latest release of Lightroom Classic. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hi all, As I understand it, the "Main Window" - "Secondary Monitor" feature in Lightroom Classic requires two actual physical monitors. I have become used to this in my workflow. I have two 32" monitors and use the left one for the main program window while working in the Develop module, reserving the right one for a full display of the photo I am working on. I am now planning to migrate to an ultrawide monitor, and it has come to my attention that there are software solutions for Windows 11 that allow for "virtual" monitors within a single screen. Windows PowerToys (FancyZones) seems to be one of these solutions. Are any of you working in this format? If so, how reliable and effective is the emulation solution? Thank you in advance for any replies. AK
