Lightroom Classic

When merging a panorama in LrC the preview weindow gives a perfect rendition of what I would expect and like the output to be. However, when the merge is completed, the image is completely warped and not the same height as the preview either. It is as if the entire output has been squashed. This is now happening to a lot of my panoramas since updating to the 13.2 update, where the results after merging look squashed, warped, or incorrect. The preview window often displays a correct image.  Attached are screenshots of the preview vs merged output. The preview has straight horizon lines and produces a nice image. The actual merged output after completing the stitching is squashed, wider, and shorter. It has also cropped out the bottom most part of the image which appears correct in previews. Anyone encountered this before or know the fix?  I am running MacOS Monterey 16GB M1 Chip Macbook Pro if relevant. 

I'm having a similar issue with Lightroom classic. It's been working fine for years, but now when I open it is unresponsive and just hangs. I can't follow your recommendation for I am unable to access preferences. I've tried opening different catalogues, I've tried using different external hardrive sources for the images, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom. I am just unable to use it. It opens, then hangs. I use task manager to force quit, have restarted the computer numerous times, you name it. 

The question I hope to have answered is how I can log events leading up to LR freezing. With the freeze I am not presented a crash report option and I'm sure I'll need the log before I turn to Adobe. Adobe has addressed this but I don't think it applies to Windows 11. I could not find any of the utility programs the article mentioned. My problem is Lightroom seems to load ok but within less than a minute will freeze. It does not matter what I have done before the freeze. IE. select an image, switch to develop mode, go into preferences, scroll the folder list, etc. Whatever I do the program will freeze. When I click anywhere again the LR window goes transparent white. When I click to close LR the Windows "Program is not responding" dialogue comes up. Fortunately LR will close promptly and Windows OS does not seem to be affected. I've spent the last four days scouring Adobe forums, Adobe help pages and the Internet looking for solutions and I've tried probably a dozen. Using most recent release 12.4 of LrC on a Windows 11 PC  I am adding keyword tags but now find that the recently added keyword does not appear in the autocomplete list and not in the Keyword suggestions table.  The keyword does appear in the keyword set 'Recent Keywords'  The keyword is also in the Keyword list.  Note that I possibly have over a thousand keywords and have to nest them otherwise I cannot scroll to the bottom.

Does anyone notice a Red tint is added after Denoise at the 50 default setting? Version 14.1.1 on Windows 10 Home.  

I’ve come across something weird in LrC. When I merge 3 images (raw format) with HDR (using Control-h), the result has one strange area that’s darker than the rest (see the darker orange swaths in the attached images). None of the original images have any deviation in that area.If I redo the merge, the strange area is there again, but is shaped differently and not always in the exact area. I’ve tried merging other images and gotten the weird results on those as well, so It’s not because of the images themselves.I restarted my Mac (OS 14.7.1), which made no difference. I had the latest version of LrC (14.1.2) when this began to happen, so I uninstalled it and reverted to the previous version (14.1.1), but the same thing happened, so I can’t blame it on the newer version.I have quite a few merges to do and have no idea what to try next. Any ideas of what’s going on?Thanks!

Hi Everyone,  It's been a long time now since I learned Lr (2012), and even longer since I learnes Ps (2008), so please forgive my outdated understanding of things. I was taught an Lr workflow based on archival data protection through the photo program at RIT, which has perhaps overburdened my workflow with redundancies, etc. I have a catalog of roughly 400,000 images, at about 17TB. I have an individual 2TB external drive for about every or every other year since 2015. The last two are SSDs, and I saw a dramatic improvement in speed, though I understand that others feel that that shouldn't be true... Maybe my external HDDs are slower RPM than what I should have. Regardless, I have wanted to streamline/integrate everything for years. I would love a RAID (NAS?) system, i.e., 32+TB of storage with spread redundancy that automatically backs things up, all in one place, arranged such that I can easily replace a drive if/when it fails, etc. I would love to ditch my 20+ Seagat

Every time I open LRC, and after one click on a photo I get a greyed out screen. I then need to to do an Ctrl+Alt+Delete to close the program. When I attempt to reopen the software, the same thing happens. I can no longer use LRC. I am running Windows 11, on a Dell Desktop with 32GB of RAM  This problem has persisted for months. I am now looking to replace this with other software.

The first time I used Lightroom Classic 14.2 (Mac), AI Denoise failed and kept failing after my first couple of uses. It appears to be processing normally with the doodad spinning for the predicted amounmt of time, but no new DNG is created and the Develop window is empty with no image selected and the previous adjustment I made to the image are all lost. I restarted the program to try to clear the issue, but that didn't help. I'm working with Nikon Raw (NEF) images.    Because I shoot a lot of indoor school sports, I'm going to need to try reverting to the previous version, but being about a third of the way through 1,300+ images that I have to select and submit by tomorrow morning, I'm not going to have the time to try that tonight.   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

The last few times I've imported photos I am finding them to already be adjusted when I look at them in the develop module. The sliders are the giveaway - they are all moved. I've indicated "none" in the develop settings when importing so not sure what the issue is. I can't even hit "reset all" on the individual images to clear the sliders so I basically have to manually zero out all the sliders. HELP! Hi guys,I always view, adjust and crop my images in D against a white background by pressing L twice.Works great for me.But when I want to move to a next or previous frame ... arrows fail. More so when I am in full screen. Is there a reason - and a remedy? That would save me the time from going back to a regular screen to click on previous or next frames.It's been dogging me for years but was always too lazy to deal with it; or too pressed for time. Thanks a lot. 

Hi all,  Looking for suggestions on the best way to go about doing this: I have a friend that is a working artist that has amassed a 100k image catalog that has both his personal and professional images combined, over a period of 10 years.  He is going to separate the personal and professional images and turn it into a single catalog. Since this job won't be automated and will be lots of sorting individual images, I'd like to refresh myself on best practices. Any suggestions on the best way to approach this operation? Thanks.    

Not sure whether this is a Lightroom issue or a Windows issue, but would be grateful for ideas on how to fix.  I am using Lightroom Classic version 11.1 on a laptop with Windows 11.  When I go into Lightroom and open up the second window, it opens on my main monitor and is the size of the main monitor.  But when I move the second window over to the secondary monitor, the scale is all wrong, as it's enlarged to a point where I can only see part of it on the second monitor.  In Windows, I have already gone to "Display settings" and verified that the scale is set to 100%, which is the lowest scale setting available.  I have attached screenshots below.  Any ideas on how to fix?

Hello,Is it possible to create a program that applies XMP files to photos programmatically using Lightroom Classic SDK? I want to change the photo visually, not just change the photo's meta data.

I experienced tether issues with both Canon and Leica on my Macbook Pro 16 inch Intel based, with the latest updates and necessary plugins. After speaking to these Adobe reps through chat and even remote access, no solution was found (but still claiming they are experienced in Lightroom/Photoshop etc.).    In other forums I found some workarounds by downgrading macOS, which I did. Started from the OS which came with the Macbook, updated it to Ventura 13.7.4 (the oldest OS Lightroom accepts). After that I installed the Creative Cloud and through that Lightroom Classic v14.1.1. With this combination I'm able to tether again with the Canon EOS R6MK2. So this might be a solution for the ones with similar problems.    If Adobe is reading this: fix your software. We are paying a lot money and for some this is a key feature that just must work. If I'm able to do this, what does it say about your support? For once put your pride aside, talk with Apple and give other brands

I tried using Lightroom Mobile for the quick edit and rating/starred to help with my work flow but for some reason the rated images in my sync folder shows 199 in LR mobile and the desktop sync only shows 174.  Any one know if there is a work around to get all the rated and edited version to sync properly?

I am having trouble with exporting some images, getting an error box with the message:I believe I have narrowed it down to trying to export to using the "Same folder as original image" option (with the target being renamed and/or of a differnt file type). It works as expected whenever exporting to a Specific Folder whether that is a different folder, or the same one.  I get a different message if exporting to a file which already exists.  I get the same error on different source file types.It is a problem because I am trying to create a preset which uses the Same Folder option, and is not tied to a specific destination.This is on a fully updated Windows 11, and Lightroom Classic version 14.2.Please advise.Tony Maynard-Smith. PS.  For some time I have been getting a message about failing to write metadata, when performing a panorama or HDR merge.  It has similarities in that the process is trying to write to the source folder, and is conceivably related.

Hello tout le monde, need help please   gros soucis avec mon lightroom 14.2 et mon Creative Cloud qui petent tous des câbles depuis quelques mises à jour qui me pourrissent mon workflow ( ma config Mac M1 Max)    Lightroom :    - n'affiche plus la note de la photo après l'avoir attribué (obligé de redémarrer, là ça s'affiche mais après rebelotte, même cirque. Niveau lecture c'est la cata - mes raccourcis sont "grisés" et les faire au clavier fait juste faire un "bip" sans rien changé. Exemple : Commande + U marche pas, I pour les informations en mode Bibliotheque marche pas, et des fois la Synchro des réglages avec commande Maj S n'ont plus. G marche, F marche, D marche, Commande S non.  Je mets quelques captures en PJ. Bref ça me pourri mon flow.  - J'ai testé avec tous mes claviers (français, 123 français numérique, ABC azerty, ABC) c'est toujours pareil.   Creative Cloud :    - j'ai fais les dernières Maj, depuis ça mouline de ouf su

Auto upgraded to 14.2, the catalog has instantly corrupted. Was working fine the day before.   The corruption shows itself by not showing the export dialog in develop. The only way to bring up the export dialog is to switch to another module (in this case Web) and the dialog appears.   It seems that no dialog boxes will open up in develop mode. If you try to use AI noise reduction the dialog doesn't appear aunless you jump to a differnt module.   This happened before, I rolled back to an earlier catalog backup, lost a heap of work whcih had to get redone, the dialog appeared again. I switched to daily catalog backup and it just corrupted again after the program updated itself to 14.2.   So whats the go? Why does it keep doing that? I'm sure someone is going to tell me its my computer blah blah blah....its not. Attached video shows new issue with 13.5 and 13.5.1 since the "fix" for the automatically added white balance: as shot in the history.With the update thumbnails in develop are resetting to the embedded preview and sometimes the white balance in the main image is not being updated until the user changes a value.Video starts with me switching images and then hovering the mouse over the thumbnail of the last image which makes it reset to the embedded preview (icon reappears).   I then circle the bride's arm before adjusting the clarity slider a tiny amount and you can see the white balance updates.   Next I switch to the previous image and again hover over the thumbnail which switches back to the embedded preview.   Finally I switch back the other image and this time the white balance is shown correctly.LRc isn't always creating a preview for an image when viewed in Develop unless the user changes a value. Sometimes it does but I cannot find a repeatable set of steps. I hav
