Lightroom Classic

I find that with my older PC that it takes a long time to add a set of photos to a folder and catalog them, and convert to DNG during import. I suspect that using the Adobe DNG converter program against the files on the card and just creating the DNG files in a new folder will be considerably faster, then just do an Import Add. But.. are there significant differences between these two conversion methods? I don't do any presets during importing. Most concerned about quality loss of the images. Thanks.

I am up to date with the latest update for Windows 11 (24H2). I have an I7 13th gen, gtx 1060 6gb, 32gb of ram, etc. I meet all of the system requirements to download lightroom classic (and every other adobe product), but for some reason, the download button is blocked out and it says that I can't download it (or any product) because my current OS isn't supported.   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

When you press T in full screen mode, an overlay pop up at the bottom says "Press T to show the toolbar again".  And it literally nothing happens.  It doesn't do anything.

I am trying to change the color of a wall from a pinkish cream to brown, but I can't seem to get the sliders in the color panel to make it happen!  As close as I can get is orange. Do I have to do it in 2 or 3 masks (think mixing paint)?  Please advise! Attached is the original color of the wall that I want to turn to brown. 

Hey everyone, I recently had to remake my Lightroom catalog due to a hard drive failure. Luckily, I never formatted my SD Cards. But I am trying to figure out why the folders in my catalog appear under their file paths and not the actual folder names that they are in and I am wondering how I can switch that back if there is a way? Hi! If anyone can help.. I reorganized my Lr mobile albums. I renamed some of them and added main folders with folders inside. The changes have synced to my other Lr mobile devices but not to Lr Classic. I've tried restarting Lr Classic and that didnt work. Lr Classic version 14.0.1 and Lr version 8.0. and using macbook pro. Thank you for any help or ideas!!

Jag vill avsluta Lightroom-plan med 1 TB och fortsätta med Lightroom Classic , men när jag försöker göra det så får jag upp att jag ska betala straff avgift . Någon som vet om jag kan kringgå detta . För jag vill trots allt fortsätta vara kund . 

Der dokumentierte Fehler "Der Export hängt aufgrund beschädigter Dateien auf unbestimmte Zeit, anstatt eine Fehlermeldung auszugeben" sollte seit 14.1 gelöst sein - ich habe soeben 14.1.1 installiert, ist bei mir aber immer noch nicht gelöst - was mache ich da falsch? Danke im Voraus,Manfred

I have the old LR6, Photoshop Elements 13, and 19 on a desktop. I'm getting a new computer. Trying to sign out of my applications to have the license for each to use on my new computer (I already have a 2nd computer using them as well). But when I sign out of one program it automatically signs me out of all Adobe programs on that computer even if they aren't currently open. Is that making my licenses available for those programs as well that it signed me out of? Or do I need to try to sign back in and back out of each program to keep my license for that program--and would that even work? These are old versions so you can't view what activations are currently in use on the Adobe account site. I've seen conflicting information, I know this is pretty specific and older software.  Thanks for any help! 

Can anyone help me or shed some light why Lightroom Classic is adding these weird blocks and artifacts to my pictures once run through Denoise. There were no edits applied prior to denoise. These are on other parts of the photo as well.Lightoom is upto date along with all drivers. Hello,I'm trying to figure out how to edit photos in Lightroom classic on my desktop, through another computer. My job has changed in scope recently and I am away from my editing area more often than not. How do I go about editing images saved in that desktop's catalog on my laptop when I am away from my editing office. thanks, Dan

Cada vez que exporto una foto (o un grupo de ellas), siempre selecciono indicar el lugar de la exportación más tarde. Hay veces que me muestra una misma carpeta siempre por defecto donde exportar y otras me indica la carpeta donde he realizado la última exportación. Is there a way to create a Develop Preset to remove/default specific settings? What I want to do is turn off Lens Corrections and set Noise Reduction and Sharpeing settings to there default values.

I am trying to start LrC on my windows laptop but nothing opens up on my screen. It has worked without any problems earlier. I use LrC version 14.1.1 and Windows 11. I can see in Windows Task Manager that LrC are working but the application will not show up on the screen. Anyone else who has experienced the same problem and have a solution?

Hello,  When trying to import lightroom is suddenly saying no photos or videos were found to import even though there is hundreds. It did try and import earlier and then crashed. Can you assist? Mac OS, v14.1.1 Thanks

LRC provides the ability to compare two images side-by-side, but the functionality would be far more useful if we can compare two images at the same target output resolution.  It makes no sense to compare an image from a Hasselblad X2D 100C (100 MP) with an image from a Leica M11 (60 MP) at actual pixels.  It would be much more valuable to see the two images with the larger image scaled down to the same resolution as the smaller image, using the long-dimension as the reference.  Or see both images scaled to a target ouput size, like 6000 pixels on the longer dimension. If LRC already does this, I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could let me know how.  Thanks in advance.

Hello. I have a folder Lightroom Catalog Previews.lrdata that weighs more than 70GB, can I delete the folders in it to reduce its weight? Or what is the correct way to make this folder smaller?

Hi all,I have noticed that Lightroom uses the modification date instead of the creation date when importing some images. This happens, for example, with images that were sent via WhatsApp. In the Finder the creation date is correct, but in Lightroom the images are always sorted according to the modification date when they are imported. Has anyone had the same experience and knows a solution?

I am trying to setup Lightroom Classic on a new Windows 11 computer. When I drag my image file to the Lrc image on the task bar it does nothing. This technique works fine on Windows 10 bit I have had no luck using this technique on Windows 11. If this is a problem on Windows 11 pro is there an alternative approach to set up my catalogue on Windows 11?

when i go on a photo shoot i'll shoot thousands of images using two bodies and four cards, all identical. I'll upload images off the cards to an external travel hard drive into Lightroom classic onto my macbook pro using 12.4 Monterey. I make a new catalog for the trip and I'll start editing and deleting images right away from the hard drive. I'll format my cards in camera. maybe putting the cards in a different body, not really paying attention to that. After I have thousands of images and im editing in library mode grid view, the older or first of the trip will be at top in chronological order. Then the newer images will start replacing some but not all of the older images and ill loose these in the lightroom catalog but not on the hard drive. When the new image replaces these older ones the captioning i've done is still there for the older image but the image is replaced with a newer one. and now older or first one is gone. could it be due to the numbering system in the two differen

Imagine. You have multiple images you want to apply DeNoise to. Highlight all (or several), set your settings, apply, grab a cup of coffee, boom... all done. 

worked countless hours tethering LR to my Fuji GFX100. Got the newish GFX100II and it does not work anymore. Crashes as soon I have Start Tehtering>select folder>ok. Anyone having the same issue ? all mac hardware and software on newest version as of 12/24   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
