Lightroom Classic

This is such an unusual issue, no one at Adobe has ever heard of it and cannot fix it. I have spoken to Adobe  Support reps at least 10 times and they have tried various things to attempt to fix it. It is happening on both my Mac Desktop and Mac LaptopAfter selecting a group of photos to insert the keyword, the type in keyword box  turns white and I cannot see what is being typed in the box although it is still typing the word I tried to type. If I close LR and reopen the box is back to normal for a short time. It will happen immediately if I select a group of photos to add/delete a keyword. Needless to say, it is frustrating to not be able to see what I am typing in the keyword box. This has been happening for over 2 years so it has been occurring through Lightroom and Apple operating system updatesAdobe has deleted LR and re-installed it several times, has changed the graphics processor in Preferences/Performance from Auto to Custom, increased the Camera Raw Cache Settings

Al importar las fotos lightroom reconoce el sitio que le digo siempre que la carpeta ya haya sido creada y tenga imagenes guardadas de antes. Si le digo que cree una carpeta nueva no lo hace. Las guarda haciendo una carpeta con el año vigente.Además tengo una carpeta raiz creada y dentro todas las carpetas. Pues bien, esta carpeta raiz no aparece pero si todas las que estan dentro.Si alguien me puede ayudar lo agradezco. Muchas gracias

I managed to display a table with rows and column using the LrDialogs.presentModalDialog.All the values from the orginal table I converted to a flat property table. propertyTable = LrBinding.makePropertyTable(context)  Before adding the new row I display the table. Recently 95% of my develop history is no longer visible.  I can still "Reset" to original, and get it back with Control Z, but i cannot see the steps that i did.  Some recent images show history, but most of my older ones do not show history.  The sidecars are beside all images in my hard drive.  I updated to Version 14.2 but that did not help.  Also tried the "Reset all preferences and Relaunch" and this did not help either. I just updated my MAC OS and three days later i received a msg saying i have to update my permissions for LRC and give access to my external drives. Is this a scam or hacker, or is it normal? Thanks

I'm trying to Edit a custom Keyword Set.  I have LR Classic 14.2.  I try to edit the nine slots for my custom Keyword set, and appear to accomplish it, but if i switch to another Keyword Set and then return to my Edited Keyword Set, the original nine options are appearing again.  

Hi, I am running a mac mini. M2 1TB nternal memory, 24GB RAM running Sonoma 14.6.1.Since downoading 14.2 my edited photos take bewteen 10-15 seconds to render as sharp when selectd. I also have a delay when editing between moving the sliders and the effect showing on the photo. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks Guy

Hi, I've recently purchased a new MacBook Pro with (M4 Pro chip), and Lightroom cannot detect my Canon 5D Mark IV when I start tethered capture. Hi,  I'm a photographer, I'm using Lightroom tethering on my iMac but I'd need a laptop also.My goal is not to edit on Lightroom but just to receive the files while shooting.I have the opportunity to buy a MacBook Air 13” 2017 /8GB RAM/Intel i5/128GB SSD, do you think that this beast would be working good for my need? Ich erhielt eine Festplatte, die exakt der defekten entsprach. So konnte ich die Lightroom Daten wieder verknüpfen und nutzen.Ich stellte nun fest, das min. zwei Drittel meiner Fotos (Fotos älter ca. 1,5 Jahre, neuere Fotos sind nicht betroffen) im unteren Filmstreifen in Lightroom oben rechts ein Ausrufezeichen enthalten: Klickt man das Ausrufezeichen an, öffnet sich folgendes Fenster:Egal, ob ich die Einstellungen überschreibe oder mit der zweiten Option die Einstellungen des Datenträgers importiere, erhalte ich den gleichen Effekt. Bearbeitete Fotos verlieren ihren Inhalte. Das heißt, alle Bearbeitungsschritte werden gelöscht und das Bild wird im RAW unbearbeitet angezeigt. My Canon captures photos as RAW+JPG.I would like to know whether it is possible to export the original JPG as captured by the camera. Referred to as "Embedded Preview" in Lightroom.I already know how to export RAW files processed into JPG. But I do not always have the time to develop them, and trust my camera.

Hi,When updating to a new version of Lightroom, my previous catalogs were backed up. However, in the new version, only 18 out of 2500 images are showing. I don’t know how to solve this issue, and I have countless hours of work stored in the old catalog. Do I need to install a previous version, or is there a way to fix this in the new one? I'm going through my photos and labeling the faces in them in Lightroom Classic 14.2 release on Windows 11, and the Draw Face Region tool won't keep the face rectangles that I draw. I drag a rectangle out, then it disappears when I release the mouse button. Is this a known bug? OK, so a little clarification upfront before i get to my actual questions. I use LRC and LR across a few devices. My desire is to have full copies both on the cloud (using LR) and a local library (using LRC).My Import process looks like the following:Import from SD Card to LR (cloud)Originals are downloaded from Adobe CC to the local machine via LRCAfter the originals are downloaded by LRC to the designated local folder, I move them into another folder using the following naming structureYYYY-MM-DD - DescriptionAfter moving the photos into the descriptive local folder, I create a collection by right-clicking the folder and selecting "create collection". I select "Sync with Lightroom" to create the same collection (album) on LR The steps above result in an original copy on Adobe CC as well as an original copy on my local machine. Hi all,   I am using LRC 14.2 - after opening it takes ~1-2 minutes until LrC crashs without any error message or Log to be send to adobe.   What I tried so far: Updates for NVIDIA, Windows, C++ Redistributable and Adobe all done to latest version Restore the LR preferences to the default settings (still crashs) Switch off the GPU support (still crashs) Checked for an errant lock file (still crashs) delete the preview cache => Here the crash also occured but the first time Adobe Creative Diagnostics popped up and has send a error report to Adobe. The Diagnostics tool did not find any error afterwards though   The Log report should be send to Adobe. on my mac I'm having this bug 'Tourbox needs acces to TCP ports, but failed to make a connection' and my tourbox input device doesn't work anymore. What could it be? It's not tourbox related because it's working fine outside of lightroom, and I also get the error 'Loupedeck needs acces to TCP ports, but failed to make a connection'.

Ich Habe eine Nikon  D 750 mit dem Nikon GPS Adapter. Die GPS Dateien werden von Lightroom nicht gelesen. Auch das nachträgliche Metadaten lesen und kopieren hilft nicht. Was ist zu tun ? Mache ich schon etwas beim Import falsch?

After several days of searching, I discovered Creative Cloud caused my computer to come almost to a complete stop.  I was finally able to remove all apps attached to CC and CC itself, and now my computer is back to normal. Is there some way to run LRC without the crappy Creative Cloud?

I'm a fan of the new backup management tool in LrC v14.2. However, I'd really like for the interface to be a bit clearer/more useful in terms of showing when the backups were made. Above all, I think there should be a simple backup date column. That seems like the most important detail to me. That said—even if path is an important focus for a given user, you should be able to see the full path in the list without having to hover momentarily over each item. You should be able to expand the column and have a horizontal scroll, rather than having to hover over each one. I suspect(?) that most people using this tool are backing up to the same place each time. I suspect most of us just want to be able to manage/delete unneeded backups. Truncated paths are incredibly unhelpful for this, ordered or no. So—either I'm missing something, or this is a feature request for better UI on this feature. I'm already a fan, please make it better!  

I am using Lr Classic v 14.2. on a Mac running Sequoia 15.3.1.  I am editing a Leica M11 DNG file. When I select the Guided Upright icon in the top left of the Transform panel, four guides automatically appear along each side of the image (top, bottom, left, and right). I am not presented with the ability to place the crosshairs on the image and create my own guide before these four are created. When I do try to place a guide, I receive a message that only four guides are allowed.   This does not occur with Sony files converted to DNG. Hi I am using Lightroom 6 on a Mac OS 10.9.5. I am trying to delete a folder by highlighting the folder and clicking on the minus symbol directly above. A dialog box appears saying Remove the folder xxxxxx 100 photos etc. If you continue, these photos will be removed from the Lightroom catalog but the folder and files will remain on disk.I want the photos, folder and everything completely removed from Lightroom and totally deleted. I do not want the folder and files to remain on the disk. I have no need for these photos so I do not want them to take up space on my disk. Not sure why Lightroom does not give you that optionNot sure why Lightroom does not give you that option. Thanks for your help.
