I have created a Smart Collection based on certain criteria.I am now trying to create a subset of that Smart Collection based on additional criteria ...However it fails because even though I have specified the base collection as source it doesn't find anything.Has anybody else come across this? Thanks
Syncing Collections is no longer possible in LrC 13.0.1. on macOS Sonoma 14.1.1. Syn is on (in LrC and in Adobe Creative Cloud app on desktop). No error messages anywhere (not in LrC, not on Lightroom on the Web, not in Adobe Creative Cloud app on desktop). Collections cannot sync because "Sync with Lightroom" command (on right-click) is not present/available/visible.
I can't see how to delete a post. I posted here, realised the question is nonsense and came back to delete it. Instead I've got to edit it to say... "ignore this"! Sorry. If admin can delete, please do. Thanks.
So about half my images (~20.000) suddenly lost their previews and they will not load on their own.I can select an image and the it'll show, but besides that it's all greyed out boxes. I have looked through solutions of people having a similar issue and they have not worked. I have tried to simply rebuild previews (it then processeds to process new previews for a few hours but nothing actually happens, despite it taking a fair bit of CPU usage).I have deleted the "Previews.lrdata" file and build previes.I have moved all images to a new catalog, but that in a new place on another harddrive and attempted to build new previews there. All for naught. If someone have some suggestions it would be appreciated. It's on windows 11.
Katalog in Lightroom 6 optimiert.2. System komplett neu gestartet (Reboot)3. Katalog-Datei war bisher auf Laufwerk D:. Wurde in den Standard-Pfad unter C:\%User%\Pictures\Lightroom kopiert. --> Gleiche Fehlermeldung.Betriebssystem: Windwos 10 Home 22H2 mit 16 GB RAM Intel i7-8550U CPU
When attempting to use the AI Noise reduction I can see that it loads the initial files but the next window that comes up and lets you choose the reduction amount fails to appear and lightroom fully locks up and is unable to be used. I have been forced to kill the process a few times with the task manager. I also typically only run the AI noise reduction on each photo after I adjust it and crop it. So it's not running on multiple images at once. I have done 1 reinstall and that did not appear to fix the issue unfortunately. I have also restarted my pc. I have be regularly using the noise reduction in lightroom since 2023, this issue arose part way through the processing of around 250 photos.

I've grown fearful of my LR classic catalog getting corrupted after encountering corruption a few times last year. I don't want to loose anymore work so I'm backing up my catalog after most edit sessions. I have a concern that the growing number of 700mb backups will eat up my local storage.I'm wondering if anyone might be able to share a unix shell script that runs on MacOS that would keep the most recent x number of backup folders and delete older backup folders?thanksmike
Is there a way to control the points of a curve via the keyboard? I find it nearly impossible to make fine adjustments via mouse or trackpad.Thank you very much in advance for your help!
- I often shoot hand held panoramas, and rely on the photo merge option in lightroom classic to do quick panoramas from selected images. Since the last major update, this feature frequently does not respond. I.E. I'll select my photos, right click, say merge, and it will do absolutely nothing. no dialog, nothing. no error message. Just act like I didn't click it. The only solution appears to be to restart lightroom completely, and sometimes, to restart the computer. This behavior can be reliably reproduced every time after I import photos, if I do not restart lightroom or restart the computer after the import. This behavior is new to Lightroom in the past few months. I've been updating every time there is a new release, and the issue has not been resolved, but I've had to upgrade my catalog which took forever. When you make any changes to a photo that is included in a set that has been published to Flickr it moves from the "Published Photos" section to the "Modified Photos to Republish" section. When the set is published these are supposed to update the existing image on Flickr (as per this page: How to publish photos from Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC to Adobe Stock and social media), but Lightroom just re-uploads it, creating a duplicate on Flickr (albeit with the updated version of the image). I have just updated to the latest version of LR Classic, 7.2, to no avail.
I'm using the latest Lightroom CC. I have been having several problems with VCs not appearing at all when I create them, or alternatively disappearing completely for random reasons. I have found the following:1. If I create the VC from the Folder in the Library module, then it works without a problem.2. If I create it from the Collection (inside a collection set), it also generally works.3. If I create it from a collection set (containing those collections which I am editing) it often works, but sometimes just stops creating virtual copies at all. Virtual copies that I already created remain, however.4. I also sometimes work from Smart Collections, and there also it generally works, but often just stops creating the virtual copies altogether.More alarmingly, after having edited a job with a few thousand images and a couple of hundred virtual copies, my original virtual copies completely and utterly disappeared, only to return when I pressed undo. I tried several times to do the s

I have an issue on my MacBook Pro where one of the ports is not as tight as it should be. If the computer or SSD gets moved the drive will disconnect and reconnect as the connection is loose. When it reconnects, it lists as 'Folder 1' or 'SSD Name 1'. Of course this totally messes up my LrC catalog. The only straightforward way I've found to fix this is to restore a backed up Catalog. However, I'm wondering if there is a better way. Here is a screenshot of my folder structure. I've been on calls with Adobe Tech Support and they have fixed the problem, but I'd like to understand better how to fix the problem myself. Thanks,David
I am having a Windows PC custom built with the key app being LRC (subscription model). A very (very!) important consideration will be the performance of LR's AI functions, especially DeNoise. I was going to go with a nVidia RTX 4070 Super but with the announcement of the 5000 series I see that the 5070 (non Ti) is about the same price so I compared them (note that the 5070 Ti is out of my price range). Both are 12GB RAM. When I look at the specs, pros and cons of the 5070 are:Pros: faster clock speed, PCIe 5.0 (vs 4.0), GDDR7 RAM (vs GDDR6x), higher memory bandwidth (about 1/3 faster)Cons: less CUDA cores, less tensor cores, less ray tracing cores (doesn't matter for LR though?), less TMUs (doesn't matter for LR though?), higher power consumption My understanding is that CUDA cores and, especially, tensor cores are very important to LR AI operations. Would this outweigh the faster RAM and higher bandwidth? BTW, a good comparison of the two can be found here:https:/

When I import into Lightroom, my photos are very off as far as having very orange and red hues on the skin and not present in camera. I went back-and-forth with different profiles and set profile to camera setting and nothing seems to really work great. What is my best option for fixing this? Why can't they look like in camera for import? Please help.
When I launch LrC, it opens fine. I can look at an image or two and then it crashes. I have used it daily for months with no problems. It worked fine this morning. This afternoon it keeps crashing. I am running the latest verison of LrC and have updated my GPU divers. I have uninstalled and reinstalled LrC. I have deleted preferences. I have rebooted after each change. Nothing fixes the issue. Gruß und Danke Norbert [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod]
I recently "upgraded" to Lightroom/Photoshop CC. Within the last week when trying to select multiple images in Lightroom, I have not been able to. Lightroom only lets me select one image at a time. I cannot find any threads dealing with this in the forums. Have I inadvertently turned these features off and if so, how do I re-enable them? Restarting Lightroom does not fix the problem. Thanks in advance.
HelloI recently notice a problem. This is my workflow:I always work on my photos by creating a folder with the photos selected from the job, the project catalog as well as the files exported and sent to the client. All this is on an NVME ssd to have the fastest possible access.Once the job is finished, the entire folder (catalog + raw photos) is moved to an archival hard drive. The catalog is sometimes reworked later and, at the end of the year, is imported into a general catalog.I'm using a dxo raw plugin for 3 months now without any problem.I used it on 2 yearly catalogs (daily life 2024 for example) at their primary location (on the SSD NVME).At the beginning of 2025 I moved those 2 catalogs on the archive HDD.As always, I can access the catalogs, work on it from the hdd, no need to locate the pictures again or so everything is fine except that I can't use the plugin as I used to.If I want to use my DXO raw plugin, I get the error message: an internal error has occurred: ?:0
Is there a way that I can use LR Classic and Photoshop (basically my Adobe CC desktop apps) without an internet connection? I noticed while doing some tests, LR would check for an internet connection every time I launched it and if there was no connection, it would force me to quit the apps. Same for Photoshop. I have an annual prepaid subscription so I would think that the apps would only need to check in periodically to see if your license is still valid or not, maybe once week, but not every time you launch the apps. Is there a way around this? I tend to travel to some areas where I may not have internet access but still want to be able to work in Lightroom Classic/Bridge/ACR and Photoshop while traveling. (I seem to remember in previous versions of LR classic and PS you used to be able to use the app without a connection but it would have to check in at least every few days -- required a connection every few days, but in it seems with the latest ve
I'm running Lightroom 14.1.1 and about a week ago it stopped reading one of my external hard drives. Nothing about the drive or its location has changed, and when I looked for a missing photo from the drive, the previous location is exactly the same as the current location (drive/folder/photo). Any help is appreciated.
When I start Lightroom Classic, it required sing in. When I successfully sign in and and confirm, it will not start - nothing happend. When I start again, it is the same.
