Regarding the labels that can appear above and below the full size images, while it is nice to be able to define the font color along with the background when making a gallery, the size that appears onscreen is very small - giving the ability to increase the size would be most appreciated
Since yesterday I have a very strange problem in Lightroom Classic. Many images can only be seen very, very small in the ‘Develop’ module and therefore cannot be edited. They also don't react when you click on 100% or more, but remain stubbornly tiny. At first I thought they were not visible at all, until I noticed this ‘fly poo’ in the centre. Here is an example of two images that behave differently in that way. One can be seen normally, the other as discussed. All images are processed RAWs and work fine in ACR, for example. And until the day before yesterday it worked perfectly well in LrC, too. But I also have the problem with unprocessed RAWs or TIFFs. I can't recognise any rule at this point. Of the 6 pictures in the collection, 4 behave in this strange way. I did reset the default settings, did rebuild the previews, restarted LrC and the computer multiple times... nothing helps so far. (My system: MacOS Sequoia, LrC 14.1.1) Has anyone seen this
Dear all, I am trying to figure out how to edit only a section of my image in monochrome black and white for more black and white control rather than just taking down the saturation and keep other areas of my image in color in Lightroom classic. How do I do that? Thanks you in advance for any help.
For no obvious reason, since the start of the year (2025) my version of lightroom classic has suddenly developed numerous bugs/issues that render it almost unusable. Not sure exactly when it happened, but may have been after most the recent auto-update (LR v.14.11) around Christmas time. Also perhaps relevant, I had also recently upgraded my laptop from Windos 10 to Windows 11. I will probably discover more bugs, but so far;For my entire historical catalogue (9000+ files) it seems any editing changes (exposure, crop etc etc) have been lost and only the original raw image is available. Images imported and processed AFTER developing the various bugs, do keep the editing changes:Keyword list has mysteriously disappeared making it very difficult to find photos : The Keyword list panel is visible but there is no list - simply a box reading “Filter keywords” with options “all, people, other”Topaz denoise AI plug-in no longer works from the edit-in drop dow
in Lightoom 14.1.1 / macOS 15.2 Step to reproduce: select any smart collection. delete a file. What to expect: dialog shows as modal dialog. operation is ignored except press [OK] Actual results: dialog shown by every delete operation. Lightroom Classic does not import or sync. I have optimized the catalog. I have created a new catalog and it never imports or syncs the photos. When importing the photos they do not appear on the first screen. When syncing the folder where I have jpg and dng files, the initial dialog box appears where it says there are 33 photos. When clicking on "sync", on the next screen the photos do not appear and the "Import" button cannot be pressed because it is disabled. My computer is a Mac with Mac Os 15.2 and LRCC 14.1.1 [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
I tried to import a folder whihc will contain my 2025 raw files but I can't see the folder in Light Room
Hey! I'm using Lightroom Classic. I copied all of the photo folders from a hard drive to a portable SSD, then combined three different lightroom catalogs into one master catalog. After I combined them, a number of photos say, "This File Could Not Be Found." Then have an exclamation mark in the top right corner despite being on my SSD. On settings, it says the location of the photos are the SSD. How do I "find" the files? Thank you in advance!
I am working with Lightroom Classic and Photoshop CS6. When I go to edit in Photoshop the images looked washed out. Lightroom, Photoshop and my EIZO monitor are all set to Adobe RGB. I have also re calibrated my monitor. Help please.
Apparently the target collection disappeared after I have renamed the catalog. What other potential problems will happen after the catalog is renamed ? Is it possible to get back the target collection if I rename the catalog back to the old catalog name again ? I am using the 14.1.1 Lightroom Classic windows version.
Hello. My Lightroom Classic has become very slow after upgrading to 14.0.1. Every edit takes more time than before the update. And there are weird scratching noises coming from my laptop when I make edits. This wasn't happening before the update to 14.0.1 (from 13. something).Brush masking was hit the hardest and is a pain to use. This update impeded my work greatly, LrC worked perfectly on my rig. When can we can expect a more stable and efficietn release? i have a 1.14 GB Catalog of about 86K photos. Was always working fine until a couple months ago - I would import photos but wasnt able to Flag photos and couldnt cycle through Loupe Info (when pressing "I"). But when i restart LR, it all shows up and works as normal.Ive tried Optimizing Catalog, restarting computer, resetting preferences, but the problem persists and Ive noticed its starting to happen on other catalogs also. The catalog in question is on a portable SSD drive, but it always has been.Im on Mac Studio (M1 Ultra) running Sequoia 15.2, running LR Classic 14.1.1 Release. Any help is appreciated!Evan
Lightroom classic started to crash constantly (within minutes) in ‘ Finding People’ mode. Investigated problem in the usual way of adjusting/resetting preferences and catalogue settings, deleting and reinstalling Lightroom classic, creating a new small test catalogue of 700 images, but to no avail. Ran Lightroom diagnostics, Event Viewer (/Windows logs/system), Task Manager for clues. Noticed that ‘Finding People’ is a CPU-intensive activity (close to 100%). Downloaded HWMonitor and discovered all CPU cores were running close to 100C. Perused literature for solutions but thought it worthwhile to check grills on PC case. Inlet grills were a series of small holes on both sides of the front panel and were partially/totally occluded. A quick vacuum and re-ran ‘People Finder’ without problems on a catalogue of 25,000 files. Noted CPU core temperatures were now running around 75C in a relatively warm room temperature of 30C. I was surpris
When I try to do a custom crop, it will not allow me to drag the handles to any custom size, it just reverts to the origina crop size. Has the crop process changed from the previous versions where Seleting Custom, then dragging the handles could create any crop size? I am trying to print a simple 8 x 10 photo using the normal page feeder (not the manual feeded). I have the correct paper size selected in LrC and the printer has sheets of letter size paper ready to print. For some reason the printer (Canon Pro-10) gives me an error message "start manual feed printing". I don't want manual feed, but I can't figure out how to change it, so it is not manual feed by default.
I use a custom panel end mark with a graphical legend for my stars and colors. It's handy to have as a reminder when in the library module. Here's an example: It would be helpful to have a different graphic end panel for the development panel group with my workflow reminders like optimal order of steps, finishing notes, etc. Essentially like a develop sticky note. But there isn't currently a way to do this. So, my suggestion is to allow different end panel marks for the left and right panel groups.
Ever since the last update, lightroom has been running so incredible slow and laggy. I have the MacBook Pro M1 2021. Galleries I could have completed in 8 hours now takes 3 days because of the need to continuously optimize my catalog and reset my lightroom/mac every few days. When I try to click on a preset it takes up to 30 seconds - 1 minute to be applied. When I try to delete an image the "gathering information" can also take up to 1 minute to delete ONE photo. Copying and pasting also has a lag and viewing the next photo takes forever. I use Smart Previews so reading RAW files isn't the issue. I turn off syncing to try to help with the speed. I've set the preview size to "low". This truly has been distrupting my workflow and I haven't been able to find a solution. I have all the updated software and would appreciate some help. I can also share my information in case that may help in finding a solution. Thank you!
When I try to open Lightroom Classic, it only opens as a background process in Windows. I have uninstalled/reinstalled and have tried various other "solutions" on the web. Anyone experiencing this same problem? Have you found a solution?
Hi, when I look at the photo in LR develope mode it's sharp but when I go to library or when I do export image is less sharp, the same thing is in PS . also when I import image for example .jpg or NEF to the LR, in develop mode like it is applied some sharpening but that value is 0,. after that when I make export without any editing I get the same photo that I import. so it seems to me that in develop mod or i PS i see images sharpen but everywere else they are as they were on preview, i even print the image in 15x20 and they are less sharp. i looked on net and there are few cases as my one but i didnt get any useful info what to do in attachment you can see differenc from PS and imported jpg in lr and exported version without any editing.many thanks for help

After a clean Windows 11 install, and re-installing CC (and LRC 14.1.1), my watermarks are all gone. Can I get them back? I have my old (Windows 10) boot (and apps) drive in case it's needed for file retrieval. Also, my photo collections (and pre LRC 14.1 catalogues) are all on a separate dedicated drive which is unchanged after the Windows 11 install. Thanks, in advance!
Anybody knows how to import / install Leica camera profile to Lightroom Classic? Where to get camera specific profile for Leica CL?
WHY DOESN''T ADOBE HAVE WEEKEND PHONE SUPPORT ? This is when many folks have the only time of the week to do photo work . An online search suggested : go to Finder >Get Info> Sharing and Permisssions>ensure read and write access which IS =checked and I do have admin privileges. That fixed nothing. Not happy This has never happened before - 9 year LR customer and I have deadline pressure today, Jan 18
Is anyone able to explain what's suddenly happening to some of my photos in Lightroom Classic - see attached image. When working in the Develop module one photo suddenly goes wonky like this - I now have one image looking like this in several folders in my catalog. The offending images appear like this in both the Library and the Develop modules. The images export perfectly but it's pretty hard to edit them. I have tried quitting and re-opening Lightroom but that didn't solve the issue. Lightroom Classic version 14.1.1 on a Mac M1.
