Lightroom Classic

I'm having problems tethering my Sony A7R4 camera with Lightroom Classic and would appreciate any advice you can offer.  Basically, my camera is not being recognized when I try to tether it to Lightroom Classic.  However, my camera tethers perfectly with Sony Imaging Edge Desktop Remote.  I am using a brand new Tether Tools USB-C to USB-C tether.  Dell XPS 15 computer running Windows 10 Pro.  I have also tried using an Anker USB-C tether and different ports on my computer (again everything works perfectly with Sony Imaging Edge Desktop Remote).  Is this a known problem?  Are there any special settings, drivers, etc. on my camera, computer, or LrC software that I need to take into consideration?  Really appreciate any advice you are able to provide!  Right now, it just hangs up on this "Detecting Camera" pop-up in included screenshots.

I can find discussions on the opposite directionto this: delete local copies but keep in the Cloud...I'd like to:Shoot photos with my DSLR while on the roadupload RAW files to LR on my iPad and do edits; synced into the cloudonce I'm home, open LRC and find my synced, edited photostransfer the copies into local LRC copiesdelete the synced images from the cloud without losing my imported local copies and edits It sounds simple. I find it not to be. Point 4 and 5 eludes me. I have the images, I can drop them into collections (yeah, I know that doesn't physically move or copy the files). Deleting them from the Cloud also deletes them in my LRC ('cause they're just the cloud set of files, surely). But how do I create local, kept copies from the Cloud ones so I can let the cloud files go (and reclaim the space)?

I changed the name of my catalog using the "rename catalog" from the edit menu of LR Classic. Said it was complete and the connected folders was renamed as well. Now two things are happeningWhen I quit, LR says it cannot find the Backups folder and will create a new one on my local drive (the catalog is kep entirely on a EXT HDD) and if I try to choose a location it refuses to take. All images are marked with an "i" for missing image. If I use the locate function and navigate to the image it refreshese, but only that single image even if the locate surrounding images checkbox is checked. I have tried multiple times, but no luck.  Would appreciate help on getting my catalog reconnected and back in order, thanks

Hi, Since the last time I closed Lightroom Classic a few weeks ago (which was without problems) I cannot open Lightroom classic anymore. When I click on it to open it, there is a loading symbol, but after a few seconds it disappears without opening the app. What I tried to fix it:- Updated Windows to the last version (Windows 11 24H2)- Deleted the latest version of Lightroom Classic and installed an older version. - Deleted the app Lightroom Classic and installed it again. Both didn't work and I can still not open the app. I don't know what to try anymore. I hope anyone can help me. Thanks a lot! 

Dopo aver selezionato le immagini da importare dalla finestra di dialogo e aver premuto il tasto "importa", lightroom passa alla fase di importazione ma la barra di progresso non avanza (screenshot 01).  Se annullo l'operazione dopo diverso tempo di stallo appare il messaggio "non sono stati trovati foto o video da importare" (screenshot 02).  I file presenti nella cartella sul drive vengono però regolarmente visti da lightroom (screenshot 03) Ho provato a disintallare e reinstallare Lightroom ma continua a farlo e il tutto succede 9 volte su 10 che avvio la sessione di lavoro. Good morning. I made the mistake of formatting my iMac to make a clean install first of High Sierra and now onto Mojave. Unfortunately in the time that I was away Adobe Creative Cloud decided that Lightroom is not compatible with my system anymore, before I ran LrC 9.x on High Sierra and on Mojave. Are there anyway I can get LrC to install on my mac with high Sierra or Mojave? Thank you.

I bought a backup SSD external hard drive a few months ago (Samsung 2TB T9) for all my photos and when I first was using it, it seemingly worked fine. But after a few weeks of usage (after the Lightroom Classic 14.0 update) my PC tells me there is an error with the drive and that it needs to be repaired. Lightroom gives me an error as well saying that the folder I'm currently looking at photos in is "unavailable" and that it will use the pictures folder on my PC (which I've imported nothing into Lightroom from). It gives me this error every time I launch Lightroom from the SSD after about 5 minutes and I'm not sure why. After being prompted with that error, Lightroom also says that it "encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit". My PC also tells me that there is a problem with the drive and that it needs to be scanned and repaired. After scanning and repairing, it usually says that there were no problems with the drive. So why would it give me an error

I accidentally set my camera to double exposure; 12 shots ended up as 6 double exposures. Is there any way in LR that I can reverse this - i.e., sort out the two separate exposures in a double exposure?

HELP please!! My apps finally decided to install, but I'm already having a problem! When I finish a photo in Lightroom and go to edit it in Photoshop, I get a message saying it will require the updated version of Camera Raw for compatibility. But when I check, Camera Raw is up to date! So I click the option to edit it in Photoshop with the lighgroom edits applied. I do what I need to do in Photoshop and when I'm done, the photo looks great! I save it as JPEG, then when I go to open the photo from the folder I saved it in, th picture still looks good as the small icon! But when I click the picture and open it up larger, the picture has a weird green-ish tint to it. I don't know what's going on! I've tried editing several different photos and saving them in different locations, but they all do this when I open up the saved photo. What's going on? What do I do? Please help asap!

When I bring image files into Lightroom Classic and begin to edit an image, I take the image from Library Module into the Develop Module, I not am finding that the Develop Module is makeing some changes to my image without being pressing the Auto button. I am not sure if white balance and tint are being effected, but I am noting that Exposure is at +33, Contrast is 0, Highlights is at -31, Shadows at + 10, Whites at 0, Blacks at 0, Texture at +8, Clarity at +4, Vibrance and Saturation both at 0. I have no idea why all sliders are not at 0 as they have been before today. I made several test images on another CFexpress card and uploaded them into LrC and I find the same situation with changes being made when taking the image file from Library Module into Develop Module. Can someone help me get these automative changes to stop? Thank you!

I've just had my catalogue upgraded - and a set of developed images on one drive has "dissapeared". I imported the folder again, and found that a few of the photos have develop adjustments but most don't. Incredibly frustrating, as that is several years of work down the drain. Anyone got any ideas?  

Lightroom 6.0 won't start after I moved the program to a new computer.The program has been uninstalled on the old computer.Moved from Windows 10 to Windows 11 both Intel platform.The installation goes fine and ends with a login to my Adobe account, the login goes fine and is accepted, Then nothing more happens!When I double-click on the Adobe Lightroom icon, Adobe Sign In Required pops up and I log in without any problems, but after logging in nothing happens.What am I doing wrong?BR Karin      

My lightroom settings are set at 100% quality and 300 ppi. I sent photos to a client who wanted to make a large scale print and was getting error messages saying the photos weren't high enough resolution. I checked the image size in photoshop and it said the image was around 4500x3200 pixels (give or take).  For the large scale print she wanted, I adjusted the image size in photoshop and sent her a 4800x6000 version of the photo. My question is, why am I even able to edit the photo to be a higher resolution? Why isn't it already exporting from lightroom in the highest possible quality if my export settings are telling it to do so?

Export-Preset adds its name to the exported filename - why? I have the following export settings: -> skip existing file and--> do not rename, hence use the original filename but add jpg This user export preset is called "Export as PDF for Server"   When I use this preset (the first or multiple times) when there are no files with identical names, the export works as intended.  --> However, when I use this export a second time or when there are already files with identical filename, then the exsting files are not skipped but new files are exported with the name of the export preset attached to the filename.  Why does this export preset not follow the instructions? (to not rename and to skip existing files?)Thanks 

Hi, I collect my photos around 3 catalogs: professional work, private (familly and travel) and street photo.Some street photos are taken while traveling.  I would like to have the pictures reamining in the 2 catalogs but I would like to know how I can syncing modification to a pictures to the 2nd catalogs ?When in street catalog, modification to a picture taken in Cuba would be automatically applied to the same photo in the private catalog.Is there a workaround ? Do I need to write in .xmp the modifications so that each catalog reads the last xmp file ? Thanks a lot for your input

Strange that I can't find a definition for that term anywhere on Adobe or in the LR tutorials.  I can see that switching to "Edit Count" re-sorts the files, but on what basis?  Edit Time is what I generally use, but Edit Count might be helpful if I new what it did!!Thank you for a clear answer.- Steve

J'obtiens un message d'Adobe me disant que LRC ne fonctionne pas sur cet appareil et me demande de mettre à jour mon système d'exploitation (W11). J'ai consulté la configuration requise par Adobe pour installer LRC et ma machine remplit tous les critères! Windows est à jour (22H2), les pilotes de ma carte graphique graphique (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650) ,aussi. Elle accepte DirectX 12, seule la fonction DirectX 12 Ultimate est désactivée mais n'est pas activable? Comment sortir de l'impasse?
