Lightroom Classic

I cant import ANY photos anymore.. No matter which folder i choose in the import dialogue - i only see a little spinning animation in the bottom left and no file appears in the main window of the dialogue..I already had problems in the last days with trying to import files from my iCloud, but since the update today, no files showes uo anymore... any idea ?

Hi....I have been using PS Elements & Photos on a Mac for many years, and want to change over to LRC.   I have done lots of reading etc but am getting more confused.    Currently I import and store my days photos into Photos, and save on an external hard drive keeping the original file names, and then delete the unwanted ones from Photos......... then upload to my website.What I woud like to do is to import the photos, go through and delete the unwanted ones, change the file name to sequence (now there will be gaps in original file names from the deleted ones)......then export the new file name/sequence photos to my website.Where do I start?  How do I get the newly named sequential photos onto my hard drive to save as the originals?    Some of these would be edited at a later date in LRC and saved/sent to clients.   I would create a new collection each day for the photos, and delete etc from there.....

Default presets that come with lightroom classic are no longer showing in left hand side bar. I am unsure if this was caused by an update but it has been missing for quite some time. I see most complaints about this regarding presets users have loaded themselves but no information about the standard presets that come with Lightroom Classic are they are the ones i was learning to use. So far i have tried a few settings in the prefferences/presets area but no luck. If anyone knows what may be wrong advice would be much appricated. Bonjour, J'ai un disc dur sur lequel était enregistré toutes mes photos  ainsi que les backups, Previews et Smart Previews, qui vient de me lacher sans aucun espoir de récupérer qqchose. Je dispose de sauvegarde des fichiers photos ainsi que backups, Previews et Smart Previews un peu ancien (6 mois environ). Pour information, la sauvegarde des fichiers photos est copie conforme à celle original du disc qui vient de tomber en panne.Comment puis-je procéder afin de retrouver l'intégralité des dossiers et des collections associées sous Lightroom sans être obligé de re importer tous mes dossiers dans les collections?MErci d'avance.CDT

I have a 2017 iMac proModel Name: iMac ProProcessor Name: 8-Core Intel Xeon WProcessor Speed: 3.2 GHzNumber of Processors: 1Total Number of Cores: 8Memory: 64 GBOS 14.7.2550G free on a 4T SSD drive   Updated to 14.1.1 and immeidatly started to beach ball on every thing I tried to do,  I ended up going back to 14.1 and every thing runs normal.   I am running LRC 14.1.1 on my mac book pro, 2018 with an I9 cpu with 32g ram with no issues.         [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

iOs Sequoia 15.1Lightroom Classic 14.1  When exporting edits are not being applied .. I have added B&W edits and I can only see these edit if I export file as PSD. JPEG, PNG and others do NOT apply black and white edits

Windows 10, Desktop, Lightroom Classic 14.1.1If I select the red label filter in "All Photographs" only a single photo is displayed. However, if I select a collection (with sub-collections) then all 15 photos with the red label are displayed including the one that was displayed in "All Photographs". I'm expecting that all 15 are displayed when using "All Photographs". I've ensured that no other filter is active other than red label. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help.

Hello all, I've been having these nervewrecking issues on import photos to LR Classic.I have an IMac 5K 27'' 2020, connected to a Synology DS 1522 + (5 disks 10TB each Raid 5) and an external WD 18TBI import my Photos, i am a Sports Photojournalist, at home using LR, and last months have been crazy, with uncountless hours lost on this imports.It gets so slow, that sometimes can take almost a day on this. Right now i am importing last night event, i mean 8k photos that would take like 1h to import and i am now with 8hours and still not finished 6k of them. I started to think it was the Synology and contacted the support, but this happens in the external Drive, via usb. I created a new Catalog, reseted preferences and still is way too slow. My IMAC: Intel Core i9 3,6Ghz 10 CoreAMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8Gb128Gb Ram 2667Mhz DDR4macOS Sequoia 15.1.1Can anyone help?Many thanks in advance JR 

On Adobe LRC in Windows 11 every time I change the active photo it take > 8 seconds before it displays clearly on the screen no matter if I have standard or smart previews built already.  This is cumbersome when I'm trying to browse through a full shoot (at least 200) of photos at the end of the day to decide which will be deleted and which is still worth editing.  Why do I keep seeing this one the screen for so long after moving to the next item in the current collection?  Is there any way around it so I can go on a quicker trip to try and weed out the shots not worth it?  Thank you for any ideas.

Since version 14. Lightroom CC does not start up anymore. I am still working with an older MacOS, namely MacOS Ventura 13.7.2. At start-up, the circle with the rainbow colors immediately appears. I then uninstalled the latest version of Lightroom and went back to version 14.0. The same thing happens there. With 14.0 I was able to work for this. I do get the message that Ircat cannot be found with both versions. However, I can't click the button for another catalog, because the curser keeps spinning.

When I have several photos selected (two or more), and I "create a virtual copy" from the "Develop" or "Loupe" view, the current selected photo moves to the next or previous selection, rather than remaining on the newly created virtual copy. The new virtual copy appears, but I have to go back to it with each new virtual copy I create.

We have a site license to the creative cloud.  Students can log into the creative cloud when it's installed on our macs, but cannot log into the mobile version of Lightroom, they get this message, "Unable to sign in with Google at this time, try after some time".  It's been doing this for 3 days. Ho do we fix this?  I tried calling tech support, they said they couldn't help, and I'd have to post something on this forum.

This topic has been in the air before but with the time still no clear answer.Basically I would like to have all services integrate in the same ecosystem. I want to create my portfolio with Adobe Portfolio while using lightroom and Behance but seems they are no interest in develop it more. Its stocked in 2017 more o less.Personalization is quite limited compare to other tools such Squarespace or Wix, its buggy, laggy, sometimes you need to save more than once in order to see changes you made.. etc. I mean its ok but quite meh if we compare with other providers.So the real question is'? Is Adobe Portfolio still in adobe plans? They will bring more staff to Adobe Portfolio?Thank you.

I use a smart collection and it shows pictures from several folders and different file types (JPG, HEIC). Now I want to copy all files of a collection to a new folder. So far I found only 'Export', but this takes very long and I will have at the end all in JPG and wouldn't have original files at destination folder.  How to do this? OS: Win10, Lightroom Classic 14.1Thanks!

Hallo zusammen, ich habe seit längerem ein Problem mit dem HDR zusammenfügen. Ich habe 3 Belichtungsreihen mit meiner Kamera gemacht und möchte diese nun übereinander legen. Allerdings funktoniert das irgendwie nicht mehr. Es kommt dabei immer ein Bild raus, das überhaupt nicht passt von den Farben und den Einstellungen (siehe Anhang). Wenn ich den Haken bei automatischen Einstellungen rausnehme passt es auch nicht.. Ich weiß leider nicht mehr an was es liegen könnte. Ein Update habe ich bereits gemacht (Version 14.0.1). Hi, I am using Lightroom Classic on with Windows 11 Home. A recent windows update caused lightroom to reinstall, once complete I then had an error saying my catalogue was corrupt and needed repairing. The repair was done, however many of my images that I had edited are present but in their orginal Raw state (no edit) and there are 1000's of images missing. The folders are present in the catalogue tree on the left but are all empty and greyed out. The files are all there on the hard drives in the windows file explorer. I have tried syncing the folder and updating the folder location which has not worked. I have also tried to reimport the images but I get a message to say the photos are already in the catalogue. I loathed to delete the folders and reimport as I have spent many years editing these photos.  Any suggestion so I can save my work would be appreciated.  Thanks Josh

A small extension to the export dialogue could greatly simplify the entire workflow:Instead of the exported file, it should be possible to add a new virtual copy to the catalogue and to specify the following properties of the copy in the export dialogue box- a name for the copy- assign a colour and/or star rating, - add the copy to a collection.These three items should either be specified before each export when the template is called up, or should be carried out automatically by default.The current export settings (date, format, size, etc.) should be stored in the metadata of the virtual copy.This would greatly simplify recurring export tasks: Well-structured collections let me see immediately what I have sent to whom, and a glance at the folder shows me immediately which variations of an image have been exported.Most of the exported files are shared with clients etc. and are not explicitly kept. Hello everyone,I have a question about recreating a specific photo effect in Lightroom. I really like the look of a particular Instagram feed and would love to replicate the same style. I’m looking for a way to extract all the color grading and effects from one image and apply them to a completely different picture. I recently got a new external drive and moved my photos from the previous external drive to the new drive in Lightroom Classic (not Explorer). The folder structure looks like this:E:E:\Original PhotosE:\Original Photos\2021E:\Original Photos\2022E:\Original Photos\Elements Photos The folder called Original Photos contains about 14K individual photos as well as the 3 subfolders I listed. When I opened LR Classic I saw that all of the photos were missing. I have been able to 'find' and reconnect the 3 subfolders, but the 14K individual photos are still 'missing.' When I click on an individual photo to find the missing photo, it is looking at E:\ for the photos, not E:\Original Photos. I've tried using the Find Missing Photos feature but nothing happens (I even let it run overnight). Any advice on how to find those photos without having to find each individual photo?
