when using photo:applyDevelopPreset(preset) with a preset containing AI Settings, this will trigger the calculating ai settings dialog in newer LrC versions most of the times. Issue 1) When calling LrTasks.sleep(1) immediately after the call and keeping the withWriteAccess lock some time does prevent the dialog from showing up and seems to bring LrC in a state where it won't show the dialog anymore even without the LrTasks.sleep(1). This seems pretty random to me (maybe some race condition). But sometimes my LrC is in a state where it won't trigger the dialog. This is rather annoying and inconvinient, but the more serious issue is: Issue 2) When LrC does show the dialog, it seems to show it for every photo separately, leading to many dialogs popping up and blocking each other as seen in my screenshot One cannot cancel the below dialogs and when trying to cancel the frontmost it just sits in the "stopping" stat
I am sorry to be asking this again. I know this has been discussed many times on here and I have read the answers, but the more I try to figure it out the more confused I get.I am not computer savy. My husband died unexpectedly this year and he was the one that did all the tech stuff. Here are the screenshots of what I think you need to help me know where to get started.I can't even figure out which folders are the right ones to keep or delete. Each folder has so much stuff in it. Can someone help me out?
1) Using the "update folder location" in the Library module doesn't move the pictures. Pictures appear in the new place (in the Library), but only Previews, which are marked with an exlamation mark. Nothing moved on the disk. No question mark on the folder name. The name of the moved folder doesn't appear in the new location (neither in the Library, nor in the Explorer), only picture previews in Library.2) When moving the folder using "click and drop", the folder and pictures are moved to the new location, but the folder name remains also in its prévious location (in Lightroom Library only), with a question mark and 0 picture. Thanks for your help. [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
My Lightroom Classisc is unable to export photos. The feedback I get on a pop up dialog is "Some operations were not performed." How do I go about this issue? [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
I'm using the latest purchased version of Lightroom (6.14) under W11. I've been having problems with the "Book" module since December. At first, I noticed strange behavior. When I assigned photos to the collection used for the photo book, other photos sometimes appeared, sometimes several. Then the module refused to cooperate completely (currently 105 pages). I can't add or delete any more pages. At first, it looked like the commands were being executed, but after leaving the module and returning, the old state was restored. Same after saving. I optimized the catalog, deleted previews, and reinstalled Lightroom 2x. Nothing changed. Adobe Support doesn't want to help anymore and referred to the current software, or rather to the community. Does anyone have similar problems or other ideas?
I usually shoot saving with JPGs and RAWs (because I am just starting and I don't trust I can always do a better job than my camera when post processing). To avoid having to deal with the two versions of the photos, I have disabled the option to treat the JPGs as separated photos when they are near the RAWs. The questions is: after I have imported, organized and developed the photos, is there an easy way to compare the result of my developed photo with the camera-generated JPG? Also, I would like to know if there is an easy-to-use way of looking at both versions and choosing if I want to keep the camera version or if I prefer to export my JPG, overwriting the camera one. If possible, is there a way to ensure that those chosen JPGs gets synced to the cloud?
I'm having problems trying to import new photos to my catalog. The usual process for me is to sync the folder and has been working for years, but since last week I tried to update and have several new folders with thousands of photos on it. The process never actually finished and the new folder got partially or no updated at all. The files can be visualized during the selection, but just a few of them got to be imported and after several hours waiting when I click the "x" on the progress bar a pop up message says there is no photos or videos found. That's happening while importing from different External Hard Drives. I already reinstalled LRC couple times, created new catalogs and selected individual photos to import individually or the folder itself and the result is the same pop up message, although they aren't greyish and can be selected and visualized, meaning the path is correct, LRC recognize the photo.
Hola, me gustaria saber si alguien sabe como hacer para poder ver las fotos RAW importadas en Lightroom Classic 6.0? A mi me aparecen grises con el texto PREVISUALISACION NO DISPONIBLE.
When I click on Denoise the Enhance window opens and I can make adjustments and it gives an estimated time. When I click enhance the window closes but nothing happens. There is no .dng created. Hello, I have been experincing this issue for a while now, and its getting quite frustrating. When I look at pictures on my Lightroom Catalouge they appear to be glitched, with lines everywhere on the screen and bight pink squares in the lower right corner on almost all of them. There are little boxes of "glitchyness" that may appear in a photo as well. The most concerning problem is that it is corrupting previously fine photos with lines or a corrupted square. Please look at the attached screenshot. Any and all help is appreciated and accepted.
I just don'tget the cloud. I edited some photos from Lightroom Mobile and they all got backed up to the cloud. Currenly, they got downloaded into the "0" folder from the screenshot. But there are many other folders alongside that one, I want to move the RAW images from folder 0 to folder 1, for instance, and this one doesn't show up in the folders panel. What the hell am I supposed to do? If I move them via Windows, everything gets wrong and I lose all my edits, right? I can click to show parent folder, which is "Images", but even then the subfolders don't show up.
I've added an outside editor DxO PhotoLab to aid in processing the raw file that is already imported into Lightroom Classic. Once edited it saves a DNG file right next to the original CR3 file in the folder that is linked to Lightroom. I realize that what we see on screen are sidecar jpeg files and that is all I know. But the edits are somehow kept by Lightroom and saved and the results are viewable, I always only modify a 'copy' of the file being chosen to work on. Back to the original question, after fiddling with the file in the outside editor I want to be able to see it and even work on it again at least for cropping and some editing which Lightroom does so well, but I can't see the file or call it up from withing Lightroom. I understand or hear that I need to 'Sync' that file to bring it into Lightroom and that is where I am drawing a blank. What is the right way to make this edited DNG file visible in Lightroom? I hope it is even possible.... TIA, Ken
Using Canon R6 Mk2 camera, I have been importing my photos using a USB C cable. (to my Mac). The camera would show in the import window. (This is not tethered shooting) This has recently stopped working . SD card in card reader slot works as expected. The native "Photos" app on my Mac sees the Camera via USB C, with no issue. While isolating the issue; restarted the Mac, used other USB C cables, tested other SD cards, but issue persists.Tried reseting import settings, issue persistsI setup a test user account on my Mac and connected my camera with a USB C cable and LRC did show it in the import function!Feeling very much like a setting in LRCMac running Mac OS 15.1.1 and LRC is 14.0.1I can only assume that it's some setting in LRCAny thoughts?
Hi all,I just bought the bundle "Photo-Abo" (german site) and I am trying to install Lightroom classic. After succesful installation of the CC-Desktop the installation of Lightroom classic crushes below 10%. I repeated several times trying out some possibilities. This is what I did until now.- tried to install LrC as normal windows user as administrator- tried to install LrC logged in as administrator- both trials having the antivirus software (Avast) switched on (while watching if any app is blocked - it isn't), but also swithed off.- internet connection is stable - 100 MB/s- using Win 11- I have restarted my PC for several times- I resetted winsock- I signed out and in for several times- for information: Lighroom classic v 6 is installed on this PC (the version I worked until now) Please help! Thanks in advance, Hans!
LRC 12.0 for Mac Previews in both library and develop modules show as incredibly grainy with ANY amount of grain applied to files. Grain only returns to normal after zooming in 1:1 and grain returns again when making any adjustment, switching modules or viewing other photos. Before and after 1:1 examples attached. My files are quite large (Fuji GFX100s) and generating 1:1 every time I revisit an image winds up being incredibly time consuming. The only work around I've found is editing without grain and adding as the final step, but then I need to remove it if I want to revisit an edit, which is often. It's proving to be quite frustrating and IMO completely unacceptable. This software has come way too far to be hindered by something as basic as grain. Please fix this soon. It's ruining the experience.

With the rollout of "Advanced Color Management" in Windows 11 which changes how existing ICC profiles are handled, is LrC or any other creative cloud app ACM aware or not?MS details: ICC profile behavior with Advanced Color - Win32 apps | Microsoft LearnAdvancing the State of Color Management in Windows - DirectX Developer Blog Basically IF the apps are ACM aware then you need to nothing and they still work and display accurarely. If they are NOT aware, they're clamped to sRGB despite the display Gamut unless you use the compatibility troubleshooter on a per-app basis. So question, are any Adobe Apps ACM aware at this point OR if ACM is enabled, do we need to use the legacy ICC troubleshooter option to keep access to full display gamut?

Running latest LRC version 14.0.1 on latest Windows 10 Pro build 19045.5131 1. Have the area available for listing Metadata filter options set to a few lines high (e.g. 5).2. Have photos in a folder or collection using more dates than will fit in the available lines.3. On the Library Filter bar at the top select Metadata.4. In the Date column, use the vertical scroll bar to scroll to the bottom. I expect the Date column to show all the dates used by photos in the folder/collection. The last date used by the photos is not shown. If I drag the split pane divider to make the area for the list long enough to show all the dates at once without scrolling, then the hidden date becomes visible, so it is in the list calculated. However, unless you make the area for displaying the list large enough to have space at the end, the last line is effectively hidden under the horizontal scroll bar and can not be selected for the filter.
