I get the prompt that Lightroom and Photoshop are having issues connecting. I've tried resetting the preferences of Lightroom Classic and photoshop. As well I have re-installed them both through the Creative Cloud App. Still doesn't work 😞 Any other ideas out there? Hi All, Not sure if anyone has experienced this issue before, but thought I would post it here anyway. Last night I was uploading video files to my agency via WeTransfer (1.6GB).I opened Lightroom Classic to do metadata tagging, and had to sync the folders with Lightroom firstSome files were in Folder B and some were in Folder AI then realised that the files needed to be in the same folder, so moved the files from Folder B to Folder A where the 2 other files were. I then did the metatdata tagging, exported the tags to a .csv file and closed lightroom (completely). I opened WeTransfer and started the upload, which I let run while I was asleep (my Internet connection wasn't great at the time)When I woke up in the morning, the WeTransfer hadn't finished and the files (barring one) that I had copied from Folder B to Folder A were completely gone (not even in my Trash). They weren't in Folder A of Folder B, or the Trash. When I opened Lightroom, the fol
LR 14.01 always stops during import of pictures and the import is significant slower then in release 13.xx.To end LR in most cases doesn´t work, I can see the LR process still running in task manager and I have to kill the process to be able to start LR again.
I successfully update LrC to v14 through CC, but received a message that PS v26 was not compatible with my PC. I have to try to figure out what my next step is.My question is: can I still move a file from LrC v14 to edit in PS v25?Thank you, Keith
I have a brand new computer with what I thought was enough GPU to support AI Denoise. I am still getting processing times of 10 minutes when others are seeing seconds. Any suggestions. I'm new to Lightroom and just started using Generative AI. It was going great at first, I was able to successfully remove cars, signs - then it started behaving strangely and not working properly. I have Generative AI and Object Detect checked. Basically the behavior is this, when I start drawing a mask, instead of rendering a red mask I get a white outline of the brush stroke instead. It won't even allow me to continue along the entire object (in this case a power line), it just stops and then I get a black 'Analyzing' box. After that's done, the white outline transforms into a red mask - but it's much larger than my original brush stroke and very boxy. I tried to continue with my brush stroke along the object, it drew properly for awhile after that but it would delete the last portion on its own. I tried several times to redraw this last portion, but it deleted it every time. This last portion was the power line coming in front of a house, before that the sky was behind the po
LrC 14.0: Moving files/folders from the internal to an external SSD is extremely slow. Approx. 30 seconds per image file (25MB). Ran totally smoothly with the last 13. MacBook Pro M1pro 10/16 16GB, macOS 14.7 Sonoma, USB 3.2 SSD. Apart from the LrC update, nothing has been changed. Does anyone have similar experiences? 14.0.1 brings no change. Copying at file system level with on-board tools works as desired.Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
First, everything seemed fine. Then when importing, would not recognized previously downloaded photos. And then, the worse, all of my photos in my catalogue are greyed out. That, even after rebooting my computer. Don't know what to do, but not particularly happy. Seems so related to the update to 14.0.1 Was working flawlessly before.
My master catalog has over 200,000 images dating back to film scans from 1990s.I have since duplicated the catalog and removed all images older than five years old.The new catalog has been cleaned up, and previews are working much faster. The new cat synced with mobile devices and Lr just fone - as expected. But every time I want to open the old catalog and look for a past photo, it wants to sync with all the new photos. I do immediately hit PAUSE, but sometimes, it still tries to sync. I need this older archive catalog to permanently stop syncing when I open it. Thoughts?
Printing in Lightroom Classic 14 seems to be broken on MacOS Yosemite. I only see European paper sizes and the print job either crashes or never contacts the printer. Printing from Photoshop does work.
I'm trying to fundamentally understand the issue with LRC. I had a synced collection that appears in LR cloud. I added 1000 new photos to it last night from an engagement shoot and left my computer on overnight to sync. LRC is set to prevent sleep while synching, and windows sleep settings were set to not sleep. This morning the computer was still on - did not go to sleep. However, upon checking before leaving for a trip where I planned to cull/edit/send out samples from the shoot, I have 0 new photos uploaded to my lr cloud and available on my mobile devices. What gives?
Hello, on LR Classic 13.5.1. on Win 10 I try to "Synchronize Metadata" – I've done this 10000 times already, also in the last few days. Just as of today, I can do it only two, three times. After that, when I click "Synchronize" in the dialog box "Synchronize Metadata", I get a weird error message. It starts with (translated by me), "an internal error occurred". (See pic attached.) I synchronize to about 1 to 10 JPGs at a time – but the number of pics makes no difference; also synchronizing to one pic only doesn't help. LR is set to "Write XMP immediately" (not just into database). The catalog is in the default folder location. The photos folder (all pics are in 1 folder and i work from the Folder panel) has 800 pics, but again, I synchronize (try to synchronize) only 1 – 10 at a time. The folder content is fully synchronized (i.e. LR has the correct info about each file). The only way to get the function back is to re-start LR. Then, 2 or 3 metadata-synchronizations go as exp
works great!
Running OS Sequoia 15.0.1 on a Mac. Using Lightroom Classic 13.5.1Hi. I cannot figure out how to save changes made to the length of a .mov file in Lightroom Classic so that I can then use HandBrake to compress the resulting file. Is this possible in Lightroom? I thought I could do this until recently and now I don't know how to do it.Thank you for any help with this.-Firislander.
Hi! Until last night I was happily running Lightroom Classic 13.5. I didn't realize it was several versions old because it didn't auto update. Anyway, I try to export (had exported earlier in the day with no issue) and I get an error. I close down the program and do a system reboot. Lightroom won't respond now or even open. I update and upgrade my catalog, now 90% of my edits are gone. Revereted back to 0, which is older than the last sync. I've tried redownloading the old version, but it still won't open. I've tried using old backup catalogs and the edits still aren't there. The cloud now has the wrong edits. Is there anyway to get them back or have I lost an enitre week's worth of work?

I just added a second OWC RAID to my 24” iMac Apple M1. OS is Sequoia 15.0.1. The original RAID was named Thunderbolt. I named the new RAID Thunderbolt24. After all of the files were copied from Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt24, I renamed the original Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt18, and the new RAID to Thunderbolt. When I select a photo on the Thunderbolt RAID in Lightroom to edit in Adobe Photoshop, do my edit, and then Save, when I go back to Lightroom, it says no file selected and the screen is blank. I looked at the Folders list in Lightroom and there are two Thunderbolt drives listed; both named the same… Thunderbolt. The photo that I edited in now on a second Thunderbolt RAID with the edited photo, even though the original RAID is not connected to my Mac anymore. When I delete the file/folder under the Thunderbolt that appeared, that RAID disappears. It shouldn’t be listed anyway. There must be something in the settings that I am overlooking. Any ideas how to resolve this issue?&
Recently I culled a huge library of photos and did my standard "Delete Rejected Photos" under the "Photo" options menu. It got rid of the rejects from the library, but didn't delete them off my portable drive like previous versions did. Is this a new bug? Now I have over a thousand photos that I would need to sort through on my drive to manually delete. I have a more recent version on my Laptop of LRC, and an older one on my PC. The PC deletes the files properly as originally described. Any help would be great!
Bonjour.
Mám někde něco špatně nastaveno, dříve to fungovalo. Poradíte mi prosím?
After the last update from LrC, I get the message that I can no longer import images. The message is "Cannot copy a file to the destination folder because it is not writable" do you know how to fix this? thanks in advance. Gr Rene (from the Netherlands)
