Brush for object selection disappears after latest update of Lightroom Classic. In the masking tool when I reach for object selection, the brush/cursor disappears as soon as you move over the image in the selection mode with the brush. The box selection tool works. So you have no idea where your mouse is. It did this a few iterations ago and then was repaired. With no aparent reason I have had issues when importing my photos to lrc recently, it takes hours to do so. I have already tried other suggestions and the only one that kind of worked is resetting my preferences, it worked for my previous import but now it is useless
Hey everyone, for the last year I have been uploading photos to Lightroom and syncing to the cloud. I've been making edits to these photos and exporting them. I recently discovered that there is a far better approach, to use Lightroom Classic and instead of uploading the photos to the cloud, essentially just maintain a catalog of the changes I've made to those photos indefinitly. My challenge is, getting the over 3k photos from Lightoom Cloud into Lightroom Classic, binding each photo/videos edits to the locally stored ones. I have read all the articles about syncing the files and down from the cloud, I've done that but not clear on how to move the edits from the downloaded images to the originals that I have on my drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
Lightroom V13.4 is spontaneously shutting down. The first few times I just reopened it and continued on my project. This last time all my work was lost! I had 735 images of the 3300 shot all ranked and edited and all 5 days of work are gone. How can I recover my work? The only file affected was the one I had open. All others from prior shoots are intact. [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. A ‘bug’ is not just another word for a problem with software.]
This link is usless without search: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/lightroom-classic/user-guide.html The online help is usless, the search never ever returns the needed inforamtion. I'm looking to learn what some basic functions of the software do. For example: What does the Sinchronize Folder do?Where can I access such help?
Lightroom has been rock solid for as long as I can remember. Recently (version 13?) it simply closes for no reason and with no crash info - just vanishes/closes. I may not even be using it (it's running in the background) and it quits. It's totally random when it happens and there is no warning, crash or error code. Sometimes I can work for 15 minutes before it occurs. My PC continues to run fine. What I've tried: I've updated to 13.0.1 as it listed critical bug fixes and it still simply quits.I've also tried updating my Nvidia Studio drivers, and even rolling them back to earlier versions - no luck.I've done nothing to my PC other than update Lightroom which is when the issue started. I have a super beefy PC (Windows 11) with 64 gigs of ram, 13th gen i9 processor, GeForce 3080 card with 10GB VRAM.Restarted my PC (duh)I've optimized the LR catalog. Still randomly happens. I've also checked my disk drives for errors, none found. I've turned OFF the graphics acceleration
The latest version of Lightroom Classsic 13.3.1 running on a PC does not play nice when there are internet connectivity issues. Its great to see that Adobe is making some long needed improvements to the cloud connectivity of Lightroom Classic (at least so say the release notes). My observation, however, is when connectivity is bad, Lightroom Classic is not responding well, going into deep loops that take lots of CPU and ultimatly, requires a reboot to fix. This should not be the case - if I am offline, Lightroom Classic needs to recogize that and get on with business. Hallo! Dann in LrC entwickelt. Ok. Somit kann ich alle
Hi community, I am quite confused and can't even recall 100% what happened. The issue is that I can't find all images I had worked on previously in Lightroom Classic and am not sure how to retrieve the work of perhaps one or two years. I have done some Lightroom courses, followed the workflow and thought I do the right thing, however I wonder if I've done something completely wrong over the last years in terms of catalogues and backups. I have never figured out how the syncing works between desktop, tablet and phone but that's a different question. I often have my desktop open and don't shut it down. Whenever I close Lightroom, usually a question pops up if I want to do a backup of the catalogue which I always do. However, I haven't closed it for a long time so haven't done this step for a while and was editing away. I have been using smart collections and find they are a really helpful tool to create selections when edtiting and curating photos. Recently I was wond
I know this has been raised before, but I don't understand behaviour I am seeting in Lightroom. I have a catalog of all of my iPhone photographs. I want to see if I have edited any of them, if so, which ones. So, I've:(1) Looked at the "Attributes" "Edit" filter(2) Created a "Smart Collection", with the condition: "Has Adjustments" (True)(3) Created a "Smart Collection", with the condition: "Has Edits" (True) ALL 3 cases select ALL of the photos in my Catalog. But very few have actually been edited in Lightroom. If I look at one example of a photo that hasn't been edited, the "History" tab shows the Imported action (time and date) for when the photo was added to the Catalog. There are no other entries in History. All of the Adjustment sliders are set to their default settings (as no adjustements have been made). No presets have been applied. I am at a loss, I don't understand why Lightroom things these photos have been edited. Thanks William
Please add the ability to set a specific size to the crop tool rather than just an aspect ratio. I am adding this as another request because the prior request only asked for specific pixel dimensions, which would be useful. Still, a physical dimension in inches or mm would be preferable for most printing situations. This would save me an enormous amount of time and storage space because now I have to make a copy of the image, open it in Photoshop, crop it to the specific dimension, and save it rather than using virtual copies in LRC (or LR) which would be both speedier and use much less storage resources. I need this like I need to breathe. Please make it so!
When using Windows snap feature (i.e. moving the Lr windows to e.g. the right side of the screen so it fills half the screen automatically), the windows size and position is not remembered between restarts. After restarting the Lr windows has the size and position it had before using the snap feature. This is also true when using snap and then resizing the windows. I have a 32:9 monitor and use the "secondary" display as second window on the left side filling up about 1/3 of the screen. The mayin windows fills the right 2/3s of the screen. I do this by doing a snap to the right screen border to fully utilize the screen height (the window takes the right half of the screen now) and then move the left border of the Lr main windows to enlarge it to 2/3.And this I do every time I start Lr... which gets annoying to be honest. Manually resizing the windows without using snap is remembered. Also the full screen snap (moving the window to the top screen border so it automatically takes the
In Develop mode, Lighroom Classic 13.4 on MacBook Pro (Sonoma 14.5) unsets the picture display filter setting after using the AI denoise feature, meaning each and every time I use AI to denoise a picture, I also have to put back in place whatever picture display filter I was using (e.g. show only rated pictures). Est il possible d'effacer définitivement du disque dur des photos retirées de lightroom, avant les 60 jours ou elles sont supprimées automatiquement.Je précise que je n'ai pas de dossier "Supprimé" dans "Mes Photos"Merci
Of all the times I never needed this tool, now I need it today but can't find it anywhere in Lightroom. Why?! Lol
Hi all,I've encountered problem whereby I'm trying to create a new catalgoue and I'm unable to load photos into the 'new catalogue'. File explorer (win) shows the folder and images etc, but I can't select any of the images into the new catalogue. I have urgent edits to complete. Some other things of note:- I recently had to delete the Camera Raw GPU Config.txt file so I could use GPU processing again after AMD graphics update. - To action the above I had to show hidden folders to access the above file.- I've tried taking off view only (don't know how that got turned on), but still unable to select and load photos. I'm stumped. Please help! Thanks so mcuh.
I moved from the images from the old external drive by dragging them over to the new drive, outside of LRC (you can flog me later). The old external drive has already been reformated, so I can't go back and do it over.I have all my images, edits, and keywords, but all my collections read zero. What is the best way for me to get them back? I have been backing up. I have not added any new images, though have done a bit of work before I remembered the backups. Mac OS 14.5LRC 16.3.1 Thanks.
I have certain presets I have made that have the option for the amount slider and some that don't. I have made them all the same way, including checking the "support amount slider box". Every time I create a new preset, even if it is off of an already-created preset that does support it, the amount slider becomes grayed out. The screen recording I made to show is too big, but here is what I have done: - Updated the preset's current settings- Reset crop & transform and updated the preset's current settings- Updated Lightroom- Optimized my catalogue- Created a completely new preset on a new photo with the same settings, but left out lens corrections, transform, and calibration- Made sure the "store presets with catalogue" button in preferences was unchecked- Restarted my laptop- Ejected my external hard drive and applied the preset on the smart preview- Plugged in my external hard drive and applied the preset to the regular image I am so behind on editing because of trying
I am editing some work using Lightroom Classic. Some images I'm clearning up using photoshop. I was running out of space on my C drive and noticed there was a photoshop update on my CC account. I tried to update it but it kept failing. So I uninstalled my Photoshop to free more space. Then tried to upload the new one. I have 7.5 GB of space. surely that's enough? Not uploading. Failed each time. 😞 Any suggestions?
Hello, I am on LightRoom Classic v.13.1 on MacBook Pro M2 and I wish to transform a photo in BW but keeping 1 colour on a particular detail, for example a picture with different people in which someone has a flower in his hands and I wish to keep the colour on the flower only while oll the rest has to be black&white. Could you mplease help me? I sow some videos but all related to all LR releases and thus I can repeate those commands on v. 13.1. - Thank you
Pretty recently I have noticed a few of my images having a circular banding effect after turning on lens corrections. There a few distinct darker circles at the edges of the image. This doesn't happen whenever the profile corrections are turned off and is only present in certain images. The pics attached are the regular image plus an image with full contrast to show the banding. If anyone knows a fix, it would be greatly appreciated! Really don't want these images to have this issue.
Hi, I am currently using LrC, mostly just for its built-in map feature and some other stuff, to sort through my photos from lots of different cameras. I am using the latest LrC version 13.4 on macOS 14.5 and have photos from Fuji X cameras - X-S10, X-S20 and X-H2S.All photos have location metadata via GeoTag Photos Pro (iOS and macOS) and most photos have their location data recognized by LrC.But today I noticed, that newer photos since May do not show any location data in LrC. Here are screenshots of macOS Preview's Inspector and LrC's metadata viewer: Any pointers?
Goodafternoon, I have a bug happen in last days randomly, but very annoing, when I edit some in develop with photoshop, or for example with ai denoise that create a DNG, after they do not appear in the develop strip, i see only the original CR2 file and not beside the usually psd or dng, not in develop and not in library--> catalogs, but if I go in library --> folders, they are there, so I should always moving manually them from folders to catalogs and is really annoying. In past happed seldom, in last days all my editing photos I did recently are disappear from catalog (but they are in hard drive and in folders)How i can fix it? Thank you
Mario Schauster
Two weeks ago i decided to upgrade to Mac Mini M2 thinking my Intel based iMac 27" is very slow with Lr. However, now that i compared both i don't really see any dramatic difference in speed, dehaze, scrolling presets etc.Was i wrong to expect much or Lr is simply slow in certain departments no matter the machine. Really preffer iMac over anything else(speakers, 5K retina, all in one..) and now debating if it is worth keeping Mac Mini.Other than Lr i only browse web, listen to music .. completely fine with Intel and iMac i don't really care about all Silicone hype.
