Lightroom Classic

Hi, Since I got my new Mac Mini with the M1 CPU, I've got bug for import my RAW files on my Synology, with Lightroom Classic. My set up is :  Mac Mini Apple M1, 16 Go Ram, with 10 Gbit ethernet port connect to a Synology DS1618+. Lightroom catalogue and cache is on a SSD 1T, connect with USB 3.1 to my Mac. Raw files are import with a Lexar Hub connect with USB2. The bug : I'm pro photographer and when I import more than 500 Raw files (with or whitout predefined parameters), directly on my Synology, the Mac slow down, until it bugs, stops responding and ends up turning off and on again. At restart, I've got a error message : Panic (cpu 5 caller...) : watchdog timeout : no checking from watchdogd in 92 seconds.... It's been 6 month I try to resolve the problem with update system and LRC, changing my SSD by more speed (connect and enclosure). My lightroom manage 15 years of pro shooting (1 million files), catalogue files is about 10 Go and preview file is about 72 Go. I erase th

I have a LrC catalogue that updated to v13.4, but it only contained some of the folders in the catalogue.  I deleted it and started using the v13.3 again.  But now I would like to update the catalogue to v13.4.  Is there a way to perform the update manually?

I use LR Classic both on Mac(book Air M2) and PC. While I find the interface and culling (scrolling through images) very smooth on Mac, the export and preview rendering cannot match my PC performance, where I have a 8 core / 16T CPU and a RTX 2080Ti GPU.I wonder which hardware I should choose on Mac side to have a fast preview rendering and JPG exporting.

The healing brush is terrible now!! what happened???  I am so sad it was sooooo good for so long and now it gives terrible results!!! *** cry**** ugh.  [Moved from an old thread to a new thread by moderator. This is what I consider a bug, but could be more like a poor design issue or oversight. I reported the issue five months ago, but there has been no action from the developers.   So, here is a warning to all LrC users. If you use Import from Another Catalog..., expect to lose your last edited dates for the images you are importing. For images that have keywords, the last edited date will be set to the date you did the Import from Another Catalog... process. For all other images, their last edit dates are effectively "deleted".   Here are two example screen shots: first from my main catalog showing the Recently Edited smart collection with 2 images and a With Keywords smart collection having 3099 images.   The second screen shot is after importing my catalog into a new empty catalog. Hi everybody. Am unexpectedly having problems in creating a slideshow because photos are imported sorted by capture time (??) instead of the order assigned in the selected source folder. Any advice to sort out the matter would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have a problem sorting photos. In the library, when I have edited photos marked "edit time", the photos are still mixed with those for which nothing was done, only scrolled further. The same is true for sorting "number of edits". Is it possible to somehow change the sorting settings? Or what to do to sort everything correctly?

After editing a bulk amount of images I will go to the "Recently modified" section to grab all edit images and place them in clients gallery to by imported.     THE PROBLEM: Recenlty when I go into that section it inlcudes all images I scroll over, including unedited images and edited images! When I go to place edited images into clients gallery I am forced to scroll through all the images AGAIN and manually pick the ones I edited out? Which is one of the biggest most frustrating time suckers during editing time......    Ive talked with lightroom agents MULTIPLE TIMES .... Very disapointed with my recent staff help. Ive been bounced around and dropped super quick from conversations. I've updated lightroom, updated computer and added it to full access on my computer... I am seriously at such a loss. Do i have to cull images before I edit as my only option?? 

I have a brand new computer with what should be an adequate GPU. It actually processes Denoise slower than my old computer with less RAM, etc. Here is the performance info for the new computer. Hallo zusammen, im Modul "Entwickeln" fehlt mir die Rubrik "Ordner" - welcher im Modus "Bibliothek" vorhanden ist. Ich hatte diesen mal, aber dieser ist nun verschwunden. Ich muss jeden Mal in den Bibliotkekmodus wechseln um ein Bild aus einem anderen Unterordner auszuwählen, welches ich danach im Entwickelnmodus wieder bearbeiten kann. Vielen Dank im Voraus für eure Hilfe. 

I once again beckon the Adobe wizards of this forum, and woud like to thank you all upfront for your help!  EDIT: This post was initially written before I discovered the "preserve old settings as a virtual copy" option. I am leaving that original post up, at the bottom of this post, in order to have some frame of reference for where I'm coming from. Though I hope what immediately preceeds will concisely explain my current question: I've imported a bunch of file from another catalog, and preserved the old settings as a virtual copy. So now in the "Previous Import" folder, I'm shown all the imported images, with a little "2" in the top left of the thumbnail, of course in reference to the virtual copy which was created to preserve any pre-existing edits. My question now is, is there any way to, in the least amount of clicks possible... open up Compare View? it seems I cannot do it from within the Previous Import folder that I am shown after import, despite the thumbnail cor

Last night, I imported new photos to LRC. I was prompted to update my version, so I did that after I imported my photos. When it restarted, my library showed 54 photos when there should have been ~950. I checked their location on my harddrive, and they were still there, so I knew it was a Lightroom glitch. I spent over an figuring out how to reopen an old backup, reimporting my new files, and changing my default catalog. I'm relatively new at LRC and I haven't had to do this before. Once I did all of that, I reenabled sync on my catalog. Many of the photos from the cloud re-downloaded. No biggie - I just deleted the duplicates. When I was going through to make sure everything was there, I realized all of my collections were mixed up. The photos in each collection were still together, but the name was switched with another collection's name. At this point, I reverted my version to 13.3.1, but this issue persists. HelloWhen I switch to the Polish language on my computer, the Quick Develop panel in the Library module doesn't display the small arrows to expand tools. See the attached photo below. I can`t click on anything in Lighroom after it`s been running for a while. Everything is working perfectly and then out of nothing it just dont let me click anymore.I can use keyboard shortcuts, highlight picures and so on, but cannot click at all. Closing LR and opening again helps but it`s really starting to annoy me since sometimes it happens after 2 minutes working, other times after 30/40 min. It`s doesnt have a pattern. 😞Everything else works normally. This has been a problem since version 13-2. I had hoped that it would be resolved with subsequent updates but it persists (had no difficulties before). Masking will recognize sky, linear & radial gradients, and brushed elements. But for the others it starts to analyze then immediately stops. Is there anything I can do or does Adobe have to correct this problem? I am using Lightroom on Windows V10.

I'm running Windows 10. Lightroom Classic updated to 13.2 yesterday, and now I can't export photos. No matter what I do, when I select one or more photos to export, the progress bar appears in the top left, but even if I leave it for up to an hour, nothing ever gets exported. If I select export... the regular panel comes up so I can select options, but nothing gets exported. I've paused face and address lookup. I've disabled all plugins. I've tried selecting photos in the Library and Develop modules. I've tried using the right-click context menu and the File menu. I've tried it using presets and without. I've tried many combinations of output location including different physical drives, image format, file name, sharpening, metadata, watermarking, etc., and none of it ever produces an output. The only photos I can export are images that I've already exported, by using Export with Previous Nothing else works. This is driving me nuts. I had to take a screenshot to send someone an image t

I hope someone can help please.I'm using both a laptop and a computer with Lightroom Classic. When I keyword my files on my laptop for example and then sync those files to my computer the keywords are no longer there and vice versa. I would have thought once the keywords were attached to a file they would stay, or am I missing a step somewhere?

I just accidentily imported photos into lightroom classic with embedded sidecar.  When I switch to the develop module will I be able to see the raw image or do I need to re-import them with standard preview and convert to DNG? Thank you

I am printing for the first time from Lr CC to Epson R2400 since updating Apple notebook to Catalina (this is only variable since last Print session pre-lockdown). Issue = Print button is greyed out. Driver working as I can display ink levels. Can print ex Word. Thanks. 

Hi!I want to insert a page with multiple photos (18 photos) in the book mode of the latest version of Lightroom Classic but ther's no option to do it. There are only few preset that have less or more cells than needed. If i try to select all photos and drag-n-drop in the page ther's no allinement layout and i have to drag those manually.Please help.
