Lightroom Classic

Been setting up my new (used) computer. (2019 Retina iMac running Sonoma 14.5) An Apple guy helped me set up the old computer so everything didn't sync to the cloud, thereby preventing me from paying more for cloud storage, a revenue stream that lags just behind the iPhone on Apple's books. The new computer didn't benefit from whatever that guy did so, of course, my free storage was wiped out in a second and the ads to buy more space started appearing. I have only the smallest of needs for the iCloud; I certainly don't need to buy more space. "Documents" was the biggest villain so I stopped syncing that. Immediately, everything disappeared from my desktop, including my photos folder. No need to panic. I've been down this road before. Sure enough, everything from my desktop was now in the Finder. I moved everything back where it was and everything is working perfectly EXCEPT Lightroom which won't start but instead gives me a "an error prevented Lightroon Classic from opening t

I`d get spinning wheel when quitting LR ClassicActivity monitor says LR doesn´t respond (crash?) and use some CPU loadBut after 30 seconds the program finally quit Any ideas?Yes, I have reset prefs, optimised cat fileMac Sonoma, last LR 

It's not worth wasting time on 13.1, when it takes many seconds just to flag an image or when you leave the mask tool and it takes 10 seconds just for the show overlay red to go away you know they spent all their time on "cool" stuff and still don't know how to do QA, or product design. Save yourself the trouble and wait on this update. 

This couldn't have worst timing! I use JF Folder publisher on a daily basis. I am a volume photographer and I sort everyones pictures in their own folder tree divided into groups down to individuals. Yesterday while publishing it said I can no longer publish more than 10 and I need to upgrade the JP folder plugin. I did the upgrade but now I can't activate it. When I click on the link it just says NOT FOUND.  Does anyone know of an alternative? I NEED to be able to export the folder structure. I tried doing it the old fashion way by exporting from Lightroom and organizing them manually. It added over two hours of work! I can't do that every day. I barely see my family as it is. And Why is this not a base feature in Lightroom already? Can we upvote this feature please?  

When browsing through photos in the Library module, I'm dealing with two VERY major delays. I've just updated to version v13.3 today, and I don't feel like I've experienced delays like these to this extent in the previous version of Lightroom.  - When updating 'Flag as pick / Unflag', it seems like the filmstrip / grid overview doesn't update at all, even though the "Flag as pick" text is displayed rightaway. I've waited 2 minutes after flagging an image using "P" and getting the text confirmation, but it's just not displaying at the bottom.- When adding an image to the target collection using the "B" hotkey, it takes a LONG time before the "added to collection" message comes up. As in, longer than 1 or 2 MINUTES if I wait for it. Sometimes it seems to not come up at all. Just now I CLOSED Lightroom Classic, and 1 minute after closing, the "Added to collection" message showed up on my desktop! Both of these things happen to me when browsing through a folder with about 70

I have the latest version (3.5.7.0) of the SmugMug plugin and I'm using the latest version (13.3) of Lightroom Classic running on Windows 11 Pro. I have a Lightroom smart collection that identifies a set of photos based on keywords and photo ratings.  The smart collection contains six photos.  Using the SmugMug publishing service plugin, I'm attempting to create a smart gallery that corresponds to all of the photos in my Lightroom smart collection but my rules aren't working and Lightroom isn't finding any photos that match the rules.As shown in the attached screenshot, the name of the smart collection is: "202405 Earth Dragon" and the rules for the smart gallery are:Collection contains all "202405 Earth Dragon"Collection doesn't contain "IG" I've been in touch with SmugMug support and they weren't been able to reproduce the problem.  The approach I'm using works when they try it.  They also said that the smart folder and collections are using Adobe's Ligh

HelloMy PC recently crashed (win 10) so I reinstalled windows and Lightroom 6 from DVD.  Upon opening LR 6, I was asked to sign in to Adobe.  I signed in online and then I was asked to sign a licensing agreement.  Then nothing happened.  This repeats over and over every time I try to open the shortcut.  I'm asked to sign in and then nothing happens.I called support and they were kind enough to send a download link to LR6 but with the same result after installing.  I tried running as administrator too. Nothing happens.  I checked the task manager and LR6 is not shown.  Any ideas how to get LR6 up and running again? thanks in advance.

I just want to thank the team for such an amazing update with 13.3. Thank You for continued updates! Mac M1max user here. This update fixed so many performance issues for me. Develop performance is finally back to where it should be after over a years worth of horrible performance updates on my mac. Noise ai is faster, blur ai is faster. I feel like everything works at the speed it should for my M1max. Everyone loves to complain...i just wanted also wanted to commend the team when they do something right. I hope this update helps anyone with performance issues.

I was expecting Lightroom Classic 13.3 to be released earlier this week. Still no launch. Is this because next launch to be a big one, perhaps 14.0? When is the launch date anyway?

Does anyone know how I can constantly maintain the aspect ratio lock when cropping.  When I unlock it, every image after that seems to also be unlocked.I want to set a default to have it locked.

Lightroom isn't letting me export my photos. The option to select "export" is gray as opposed to the normal black font so I can't even select the option. Please help me!!

Hi.  If someone has the answer to my problem, I would be so appreciative.  All along, I "command e" from lightroom to photoshop and then "save" in photoshop when I am finished and my image saves back into lightroom in a TIFF file... until yesterday.  I don't know where the saved file from photoshop goes but it does not go back into LR.  This is a major interruption to my workflow and quite frustrating.  Any help for a desperate photog??? Please

Is there a way via the SKD to check if Auto-Sync is enabled or disabled?

Just updated to latest LRc 13.3. Used the metadata filter in Library and only one camera is shown in the filter. I.e. I use two Nikon Z9 and now the filter only shows one Z9. Same for other cameras!! I need to see all cameras and be able to filter for them.

Buenas a todos, en esta ocasion me comunico con ustedes para ver si me pueden ayudar a encontrar una solucion.Desde hace unos 2 años utilizo el Lightroom, hace unos 5 meses empezo a saturar la memoria RAM (en ese entonces tenia 16GB) debido a esto me recomendaron aumentar la memoria RAM y lo lleve a 32GB, los 2 primeros meses todo bien, pero en un momento volvio a saturar la memoria RAM consumiendo alrededor del 80% y en ocasiones mas, me parece muy raro ya que en primera instancia la recomendacion del proveedor recomiendan tener, para un funcionamiento correcto, 16GB y actualmente con 32GB tengo problemas. Aclaro que lo utilizo para acciones normales, podria decirse ediciones simples nada complicado. ¿A alguien mas le ocurrio? ¿a que puede deberse?¿puede ser un problema con el propio soft?¿Cuanta memoria recomiendan tener en la PC? Los leo, saludos. 

Hello fellow photo artistsI am using the 20GB plan. My desktop runs on W10. The LrC is the latest version, 13.2.I want to sync my main catalogue with the smart previews to access the same catalogue along with the smart previews on my Android pad. This will immensely help me to edit photos on the go. I have turned on Lr Sync, but I'm unable to achieve my goal. The Lr Sync shows sync completely using only 50MB of 20 GB storage. This is impossible as the catalogue is nearly 1GB in size.Moreover, I'm unable to find any icon beside the collections in this catalogue. If I visit Lightroom Web I am unable to find any photos.What I'm doing wrong?Please help me out.Thank you.

Lightroom Classic has replaced its sync engine effective with Version 13.3, released May 21, 2024. Sync issues in older program versions are no longer applicable and will not be reviewed. Please update to version 13.3. Notes: Please complete pending uploads before upgrading to 13.3 The update requires a complete resync of your synced library and can take several hours. Using the [Rebuild Sync Data] button as a troubleshooting step in any stuck sync for version 13.3 and higher is no longer recommended. We anticipate this button will be removed in a future version. If you still see an issue with sync after updating to 13.3 and allowing sync to complete, please get in touch with Adobe Customer Care for diagnosis and log collection.  

This issue seems to have been in existence for quite some time - I just had it happening here.Lightroom Classic 10.3; MacOS 11.4. Any ideas to get this sorted and get on with a functional library?

Lightroom mobile over the past year built a feature where it will automatically flag a picture as a “pick (flagged)” if it has been favorited on iOS. This is an awesome feature. Unfortunately, when you sync the album down to Lightroom classic it erases the pick state and then syncs that back to the cloudso you have to start over.  Can we get a fix for this?

The Lightroom team is sharing an early look for AI-powered Lens Blur–giving you the ability to apply optical blur on any image regardless of how it was taken. Lens Blur is now available to try on all Lightroom surfaces.   How does Lens Blur work? Lens blur applies a depth-based blur effect, similar to what can be achieved with real-world optical lenses, by using AI-generated or device-captured depth data (when available). Lens blur will automatically prioritize focus for the detected subject, but you can also interactively adjust the focus distance. Precise focus range tuning is also available (currently desktop only: Lightroom Desktop, Lightroom Classic, and Camera Raw). You can also further customize the Bokeh shapes, highlight Boost (desktop only), and make depth map refinements (desktop only).   Will my Lens Blur adjustments on one surface be synced to other surfaces? Hi, i've noticed Manual Noise Colour adjustments and sharpening being applied to all my images when importing RAW files to LrC and I wish to disable this. I have 'Camera Settings' chosen and on my camera it is set at Standard. This is under the Detail option in the Develop mode in LrC.I've also tried to  create my own preset and unchecked all boxes, but it still adjusts the colour with denoise to the point i'm losing a lot of detail and animals feathers and fur is looking plastic with no detail. Also, when i adjust the sliders to zero, it increases the noise/grain even when iso was 100 so it appears to be introducing noise to the image. Can the colour denoise option be disabled on import? This is happening on both my Dell laptop and MAC desktop, with both Nikon Z8 and Nikon D850 RAW files. I'm really hoping this can be fixed, as it's taking me a heap of time to fix the automated adjustments LrC is imposing on my raw images. 

Hay Everyone...Has anyone experienced when applying Lens Blur in Adobe Lightroom 13.3 (Windows) cannot execute it?, display "Somethink When Wrong" as per attached screenshot.Please advice how to resolve it.Thank you
