Hi there, I would like to suggest an app improvement for Lr Classic which would consist in "photo harmonazition" and, as the name itself suggests, could help harmonizing automaticaly a group of photos based on one single edited photo. Sometimes syncronizing the same editing settings throughout a group of photos, which a photographer aims to have a similar look at the end, does not work properly because, even if all the pictures come out from the same shoot but for some reason were taken in slightly different lighting conditions, some settings such as whitebalance, exposure, curves, color grading, calibration and so on have to be applied in different proportions in order to achive the same final look. For that reason, instead of just "Syncronize" Lr Classic could also provide a "Photo Harmonazition" tool and in this case the software would calculate by itself what percentage of each setting needed to be applied, in each selected photo, in order to get the same aperance of the

It would be great if I could open Lightroom Classic and be able to choose which Lightroom CC album to sync and not have to wait forever for other albums to sync.  I rarely use Classic, whenever I have to, everything is tedious and slow. I need to export the photos in one album differently, an album with only 40 photos...yet I'm currently 2 hours into syncing because you can't choose the album you want to update.

In faces mode, include a preference that specifies the size a face must be relative to the image before Lightroom identifies it as a face. For example, when shooting a person in a crowd, hundreds of faces would be flagged for ID. If Lightroom was told to only identify a face that is no smaller than, for example, 20% of the image it would then ignore the hundreds of other faces that are smaller.

Make the fields in ‘Edit Metadata Presets’ larger so the user can see several lines of information in fields such as ‘caption/description’

In full screen mode show an overlay with metadata such as star or colour rating

I'm using Apple Freeform to create my series, and I find this app very useful because you can move the images freely as you would with printed images on a table, make groups, find new layouts, take notes. It would be great if a similar feature was implemented in the LRC collections so there's no need to export images.     

I would love to find in the local menu of a mask (rename, revert...)  the option to erase it or reset it to empty, leaving the settings as they are. Very useful when copying masks from a picture to another, not having to erase it "manually" before redrawing it. Thank you

Lightroom Classic 12.1 adds a "segmented" slider layout in the masking panel.   I understand that it is desirable to make Lightroom Classic more beginner friendly, and also prepare the UI somehow for the arrival of local Tone Curve adjustments... but, having used the software since 2007, I really do not need the extra labels there. They are not useful, I'm sorry. I know that "Texture" and "Clarity" etc. fall under the "Presence" section, simply by looking at their position in the "Basic" panel.   Worse though, these segments and their headers consume an ENORMOUS amount of valuable screen real estate.   I'm using a 27" 5k display, but with this new layout, I need to scroll to see what a local adjustment does when I have only two active masks in an image — and I very often have more*.   The segments also make it much harder to get a quick glance at the various combinations of adjustments that have been used in a mask.   I'm sorry to say it but this UI change does

I really love the custom naming scheme on file export, and I use it often. However my custom naming scheme depends on the situation, and I currently have half a dozen regularly used file naming schemes. I don't really like to have to look up the naming scheme each time and then reconstruct it because it was different from the previously used one. It would be great to to be able to save a naming scheme and then select for reuse!(oh, and this interface needs many feature requests! For example I am forced to select one of four topics before proceeding with no option to change. None of the four apply. I came accross half a dozen usability issues on the way to this form. From someone else, OK, but from the vendor of usability products????) 

Just like Synology Photos released recently a viewing app for Google TV, how about Loghtroom will have the same? Where is the problem when We can view Google Photos or Synology Photos on Google TV? The problem is that they ignore the non destructive editing settings. Meaning that a photo in Lightroom can look up to 100% different from its original photo, while Google or Synology will show the original photo. So after I spent hours in Lightroom editing an album, I can't show the final result with Google Photos or Synology Photos. I need to export the edited photos in Lightroom, upload them somewhere and only then I'm able to show them on TV. So, how about an view only app that will be linked to a NAS or storage, display on Smart TV with the edited settings so that the viewer will see the final result?   Thank you!

This is a request to implement a visibility enhancement for folders in the Library module which have been designated as "favorites."  Currently, when a parent folder is designated as a favorite and the Library filter is set to display Favorite Folders, the parent is displayed but it is impossible for the user to descend further into the parent's hierarchy.   The new capability would provide an option to designate and filter on favorite parent folders: i.e., when this attribute was set, the Library filter could display the parent folder with a triangle control at the left of the folder name, which when selected would reveal the contents of the parent folder (typically subfolders or perhaps files).  This behavior would provide a simple way for the user to restrict visibility in the Library Navigator panel to a subset of the folders at the top level of the directory hierarchy containing the images managed by Lightroom.  

Extend the AI to do simple feature-finding so that I can copy/paste clone/heal/CA from one shot to the next and Lr will move the zones to the correct areas given a threshold match met.    IE: in 10 shots there's a small boat in the water in the background. In the first shot, I click on the boat and the radius of the tool removes the boat. In the next shot, 1 minute later, the boat is 100 pixels to the left. I want Lr to do a search in the area near the clone/heal to find the boat. When pasting settings on the back 9 images, I'd love to see the clone tool track the boat and auto-fix. 

I'd love a keyboard shortcut for Inverting Selection in Lightroom Classic. It's a couple clicks under the Edit menu, but I use this method to weed out anything I choose not to use and then delete. It's quicker for me to choose the keepers (I add it to the Quick Collection) and then delete anything unusable by selecting what's been added in the Quick Collection and Inverting Selection in the folder of photos I'm working on.   Please create a dedicated shortcut for this feature, it'd make life a little more efficient. 🙂  

Lightroom classic has a "book module" where I can add pictures to create a picture book , complete with photo text. The problem is you can not write photo text in "Arabic Language". While writing in Arabic and Hebrew and other right-to-left languages has been much improved in Photoshop, Lightroom classic still does not allow writing in Arabic and Hebrew. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THE TECHNICAL TEEM OF ADOBE SHOULD UPDATE TYPING LANGUAGES AVAILABLE IN LIGHTROOM CLASSIC TO INCLUDE ARABIC AND OTHER MISSING LANGUAGES. I really hope the upcoming updates will included the possibility to write in Arabic language within the "book module" photo text.

I used LR6 years ago and after a long Capture One expérience, I'm back to Lightroom Classic.The software has a lot of indisputed qualities (speed, new masks, etc.) but the UI is somehow very dated! My wishes are: - An interface more Photoshop-ish: flater, darker, clearer. A modern flat design! - More room for the sliders, there is a waste of space in the right develop panel.The right panel takes some space but the sliders are to short, because the text is cumbersome. For instance in the french version Dehaze is "Correction du voile", much too long! "Voile" would be enough. see screenshot. - Some options to tweak and customize keyboard shorcuts. Example, getting rid of the bottom panel only, we have to use the mouse... - In this area and inspired by Capture One U: being able to move some key sliders with a specific key and the mouse, and so keeping looking at the picture.   Thank you for reading

I know Lightroom is designed primarily for photographers, but I also use Lightroom to manage graphic design assets, and a lot of said assets have transparent backgrounds. I gotta figure it's not just me doing this. It would be great if Lightroom had better handling for transparency, including being able to show the transparency grid in grid thumbnails/loupe and honoring transparency in Prints.   The current behavior of Lightroom seems to be to fill the background for any transparency with a flat white. While I uderstand that might be the easiest way to deal with it, that behavior isn't in line with (as far as I know) every other Adobe product out there. Plus, it gets super confusing when you're trying to sort through a bunch of images when you can't tell what's solid white, transparent white, or just transparent.    Additionally, when laying out Prints, transparency is treated the same as in grid/loupe views. I recently developed a Book in the Lightroom Book Module.  I accidently deleted the beginning end page which is not numbered directly after the cover sheet.  I was told that if deleted, I could not modify the page to reconstruct the end page.  This could be an issue when sending to Blurb to print.  I recommend that in future updates to Lightroom Classic the beginning and end page templates should be available in the event one accidently deletes these templates.

I just spent some time on chat with Adobe support and what I'm suggesting doesn't exist right now, so I'm creating this as a "future feature request" for Lightroom Classic - AI mask features.    USE CASE I'd like to create essentially a Library of custom AI masks and save them for future 1-click use like you would save custom Brush for use.    EXAMPLE OF A CUSTOM SAVED MASK (1-click use mask where AI selects the person's face and softens skin)  - create a new mask  - select persons - select face - use my custom "skin soften -light" brush (already saved for use)  - save all of the above as a custom "face skin soften mask"  - ceavat - since AI does person selection as part of the AI mask, there would need to be a right side panel pop up that shows the people in the photo so you can then select / deselect who you want the custom mask to apply to (ex. select the bride facing the camera, but not the person helping her put shoes on)    You co

So, good color grain simulation is pretty hard to find, and a while back I came up with my own as a PS action, which is pretty good. (Optional) To give a better "pushed grainy color reversal film" look, increase saturation (even till unrealistic ... go look at E1600 +2/+3) and smooth image (texture -50 or thereabouts)Desaturate photo "-50" to avoid gamut problemsConvert to CMYKFor each channel:a) Camera Raw Filter: Grain Amount 100, Grain Size whatever (e.g. 30), Grain Roughness 100b) gaussian blur (to match grain size above)Convert back to RGBTurn saturation back up "+50" Et, voila! Now, obviously there is no reason this can't be done in Lightroom itself, as basically all of this is built in (no explicit gaussian blur but it's used everywhere internally). Here's an example up close and magnified. These are sort of two different requests but they overlap. First, for ballpark skin tone balancing, that CMYK value. RGB is useless as I think everyone knows. C/Y/M values are pretty good ballpark ways to assess whether a light-medium skin tone is realistic. For over a decade I've wondered why isn't there a CMYK option for the current RGB value displayed in the histogram area. Yes, I realize that CMYK conversion is not uniquely defined and there are color space mapping issues, but for the purpose of comparing relative values of C/Y/M, not a problem. I'm not asking for Lightroom to run in CMYK, just to do conversions one pixel or patch at a time to display a value. Then given that, the next possibility is using a skin tone to define a white balance. So the WB dropper gets a "skin tone" checkbox (maybe with light/medium/asian/dark toggles) and you could get a ballpark WB from a skin tone dropper without having to obsess over whether it's one of those days where you will edit ev

Object masks should be computed on the cropped image, not the original image.  Adobe went through a similar learning process with Auto Tone, finally acknowledging that it should be computed on the cropped image: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-ideas/lightroom-auto-tone-analysis-should-apply-post-crop-scanned-photos-a-problem/idi-p/12249250   (But maybe this time it can be corrected in less than five years.)   Here's a use case (original image attached).  The original, auto-straightened and cropped image:   Dragging a rectangular Object-mask selection (faintly visible) around the original Polaroid image:   results in a bad mask:   Apparently, the AI algorithm gives more weight to the higher-contrast outer border edges in the cropped-out area of the photo than to the inner border edges within the crop.   Exporting the cropped photo and then making the same rectangular Object-mask selection gives perfect results:

Occasionally I wind up with large numbers of duplicate images due to importing something multiple times over a period of months or years. Literally, importing the exact same images, but for whatever reason, import doesn't notice that they're duplicates. File name changed, date changed, I don't know. When I wind up with "-4" filenames for 5 copies of the same image, I feel like something isn't working right.   I really want to be able to find images that are certainly duplicates and that are almost certainly duplicates, and do something with them.   Certainly duplicates means the same bits in the image. Lightroom does not work this way however. I'm not sure exactly what way it works.   Almost certainly duplicates or just "very similar" means: Very strong likelihood JPEG/raw match (e.g. if same filename and feature-similar image, some metadata matches, etc etc) Same for TIF/PSD/JPEG/raw etc etc Same photo resized, reoriented Same photo cropped a little Same photo with wat
