I have object selection and dust removal working fine on my Windows 11 laptop, but they both fail on my desktop. I have updated the video driver but it is still failing. For dust removal I click the Apply checkbox, it briefly checks, then unchecks again immediately without doing anything. Below is my system info. Thanks. I’m running Windows 11 (10.0.26200 Build 26200) and frequently encounter drag‑and‑drop failures in Lightroom Classic. Restarting after optimizing the catalog temporarily restores functionality, but the issue quickly returns. I previously posted about this here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/drag-and-drop-in-15-0-1-stops-working-on-windows-11-system/m-p/15622248#M420757 After extensive testing and diagnostic traces, I believe the problem is linked to background catalog writes. The WAL file grows rapidly after each restart, from just a few kilobytes to hundreds of megabytes. In my workflow, I rely heavily on Smart Collections to refine photos into distinct groupings — particularly by dimensions based on long edge — which generates thousands of writes back to the catalog. This workaround is necessary because the Library Filter bar does not expose the same metadata fields available in Smart Collection rules. All of this metadata is clearly accessi
App version: Lightroom Classic (latest version at the time of writing)Platform: Windows 11 64 bitHardware: RTX 4060, Ryzen 9 7900, 64 GB RAM, NVMe M.2 SSDDescription of the problem:I am experiencing severe performance issues in Lightroom Classic when working with large photo imports.First issue: AI Denoise does not work during import.When I select an import preset with AI Denoise enabled, the denoise is not applied. After the import finishes, I have to manually run AI Denoise on each photo.Second issue: photos are not processed until they are visible on screen.After import, images are not fully processed in the background. Lightroom only processes photos that are currently visible in Grid view. For example, when importing around 10000 photos, only about 300 visible images get processed. I have to scroll through the grid to trigger processing of the remaining photos.Third issue: previews and metadata sync do not help.I tested Standard previews, 1 to 1 previews, Smart Previews, and metad

How do I delete old programs from "Edit In" ?
Hi after the import of my latest photos, Lightroom Classic every time restarts the screen with import (where you select the source and the photos that you want to import). I tried already to restart my pc, I deinstalled Lightroom classic (twice). I have the Lightroom Classic 15.0.1 with windows 11 (latest updates have been done). I have more than enough space, so no crash there. Does anyone has an idea?
LrC is not importing .arw photosIt was able to import photos beforehowever when attempting to import my photos, I'm prompted with:"The following files were not imported because they could not be read or the destination folder is unwritable (1602)"The same photos from the same sd card were able to be imported to Lightroom

This issue has been active since December 4 and remains unresolved despite extensive Adobe Support involvement up to Tier 3.Adobe Support Case NumberADB-42913017-K1J8Summary:Lightroom Classic is unable to reliably sync collections and albums to Lightroom Web, even after images and albums are deleted from the cloud. This suggests that Adobe’s cloud backend retains internal asset IDs tied to previous uploads, resulting in a persistent desynchronization (“ghost” state).Observed behavior:- Collections partially sync or fail to populate- Images appear in All Photos but not in their assigned albums- Previously uploaded images behave as if they still exist after deletion- Sync issues persist across multiple catalogs, indicating a cloud-side issue rather than local catalog corruptionImportant clarification:This is not resolved by emptying Lightroom Web. The issue persists across catalogs and after extensive cleanup.Impact:Professional workflow is blocked. Tier-3 troubleshooting led to fragment
I almost thought I was going to have to force restart computer or it was going to crash on its own, but it recovered and only gave a white screen with the lightroom boarders, when I clicked to change to library out of developer tab to see if it was going to continue or fix itself, it showed this message at the top and removed all the color grade. When I restarted it, the color grade was there and fine, it's just being overly laggy when it shouldn't be. Before this, it started randomly being EXTREMELY laggy like it was not processing correctly. Very similar to how if you use the brush tool in the masking, Lightroom normally is not coded to process those very well and lags a LOT........even after all the updates saying the masking processing was improved....it really wasn't, maybe by a small margin, but today I was not using any brushes in the masks. I was using just the normal masks and grading I do for the majority and was not doing touch ups yet which is when the known lag starts.
I have a recurent issue in LRC now and it worries me a lot since I don't find anything about that on here.The masking tools are not working properly for some times now. Or I am just not able to create them meaning that when I click for instance on linear mask nothing happens (nothing happens no matter the mask I choose). Or , when I manage to create them, they disappears as soon as I update the ai assisted tools...which is required.I really don't know what to do and I would love to see an update for LRC to fix this because this is not usable for my work and when you have a full wedding to edit and deliver, this can be verry frustrating.
I have a collection with several folders of images I want to include in my Book. I successfully have built multiple pages already in the saved book called "Our Family 2025" which is also saved in the Collections. However, all of a sudden, I can no longer access my other collections folders I havent used yet from my saved book. For example, I want to use images from folder "8 Aug Raro", but as soon as I click on that folder, the saved book disappears, eventhough I am in the Book Module and a blank new book opens. The images showing in the preview at the bottom are only the images I have already used in my book - and i have the Filters Off toggled. How can I access teh other folders to include in my saved Book?
Issue Description:Lightroom Classic has become extremely slow when switching into the Book Module. Before updating to LRC 15 last week I routinely blitzed through bulk HDR merges of dozens of images in just a few minutes, as well as other dng processing/import from DXO Pure Raw, and now these tasks are taking an exorbitant amount of time to complete. This is destryong my work flow at a critical time for my clients. Any help is greatly appreciated... thanks!
Hi! I'm a Lightroom-only user. I'm a photo artist and I use LR intensely for photo editing with dozens of retouching points (sometimes more than 100) for architecture/street photography/landscape photography.I work on only one photo at a time (24mpx). So I don't have to import hundreds of photos for my workflow (no wedding or sports reportage)... I'm hesitating a lot between these two configurations which are about the same price.The Mac mini M4 pro 12/16 48GB of RAM 1TB ssd is at 2254€Studio base 14/32 36GB of RAM 1TB ssd is at 2294€What is your advice, dear friends?
How can the server address to photos be globally changed in Lightroom Classic 15.0.1 (WIN11)?I am looking to find a location where to make a single change that will update the links for a large number of photos. Thanks in advance.Frank
I just used my Lightroom Classic after a few weeks on the road and suddenly it tells me that my almost 1tb of free disk space is insufficient to back up my updated catalogue??? It's never been an issue and my old catalgue backup zip file is just 18mb large. Also the screen promt doesn't make sense to me at all. What's going on? {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
Lightroom classic is unable to detect people/face for masking.
I suggest that the bezel notifications "Add to Target Collection" and "Remove from Target Collection" be implemented for badge clicks as they are for the menu and keyboard shortcut. I recently experienced an issue whereby I found that images were being either added to or removed from target collections, apparently randomly, which caused me much frustration. I worked out that this was occurring when I selected images in the filmstrip and that in the thumbnail images, there is a "badge" which when clicked will toggle the image in or out of the collection. This can easily be done inadvertantly, but no notification is given that this has occurred, such as the bezel message displayed when the menu or keyboard shortcut is used. Thanks to advice given, I have discovered that this behaviour can be turned off in Preferences>Interface>Filmstrip by either unchecking "Show Badges" or checking "Ignore Clicks on Badges", but for consistency of behaviour and safety the bezel notification
Somehow I've created a huge mess and I'm not sure how to get out of it.Bear with me, this takes some explaining.My Lightroom Classic catalog has folders going back to 2012.Up to the end of 2019 these folders were all on a single hard-drive, this filled up and at the beginning of 2020 I started using a second and new external SSD hardrive for the years 2020-2025.So, I was working away after happily after unplugging that first drive with the 2012-2019 folders.This left me with just the thumbnails as a reference for the years 2012-2019 whenever I was searching my catalog.Not ideal, but I was able to see the Lightroom created previews and I was happy enough to unplug my newer drive, reattach the old drive and navigate to the required images whenever I needed to.I had the brilliant idea though that I should get a new and faster SSD drive to go with the newer drive that holds the 2020-25 files, what I'd do, I decided, was to copy the existing files from the 2012-19 drive onto this new drive,
