Lightroom Classic

I'm supporting a friend of mine with his Lightroom Classic issue. His installation became very slow after an update. Unfortunatly he can't tell which update caused it.The issue is, that Lightroom Classic needs now 30 or more seconds to start and when switching between photos, the photo gets displayed fast but the develop dialog takes 5 to 7 seconds to get update. During this time LrC is blocked.He is working on an Acer Aspire 5 Notebook with Intel Core i7 Series 11 CPU, Nvidia MX350 GPU,  16 GB Ram and SSD (enought space free) So I was going through this forum and tried the following already without luck:- Updated all drivers and Windows 11 25H2- Disabled GPU under performance settings- Optimized the catalog- Increased Camera Raw Cache- Changed Power Plan I figured out, that in Task Manager when the program is unresponisve the process is shown with status "inactive", which led me to the Windows Resource Exhaustion Detection and Resolution service. Dear reader, Whan i use de Distraction removal in LrClassic the outcome looks like in the attachment. I use a iMac 2019 3 GHz 8-core Intel Core i5, Radeon Pr 560X 4 GB, memory 16GB 26687 MHz DDR4. With MacOS Sequoia 15.7.2.The outcome is on 100% and stays on this way to 0% (mostly).See also the original. What is happening here? Thx for your help!

Many users still have problems with the order of Ai edits.LrC offers no way in the app to know this exact order.The LrC team should address this and inform users properly.An external link is not a good solution.As we wait I made a little script that everyone can use within LrC to directly check what is the good order to follow.Now anyone can know the order to follow within LrC and not have to memorize it.  To use:Change the attached file suffix from .txt to .lua and add it to the script folder on your system.

Hey guys,so I'm working with Lightroom classic. I synced a bunch of pictures while editing and had to manually refresh all the masks. While editing Lightroom updated the catalogue so I started in one and continued in a new one but never closed the app. So after refreshing I saw the masks again and I did that for about 1000 pictures manually. When I wanted to export the pictures all the refreshments were gone and I would have had to refresh all over again. Did anybody experience something similar or has any idea how to get the masks to be refreshed and the way I want them? I tried so many different ways to fix it with chat gpt like combining the catalogs or batch refresh ai masks. I'm really just frustrated now..

I am trying to open one of my LR Classic catalogues. It is already on version 13-3 but it's telling me that I need to upgrade it in order to open it. When I hit the upgrade button, all I get is a spinning pie. I have tried this multiple times on two different computers. Another catalogue that I use is on version 13-3 and it opens with no problem. Any suggestions for how to resolve this problem?

I use LR Classic and love it but now I want to use my cloud storage to backup my RAWs I've run into some pretty stupid issues. The Creative Cloud app won't let me upload RAWS for some inexplicable reason so I have to import my entire library into LR CC, AND make another local copy of them at the same time if I want to sync to my cloud storage. Why do I have to do that?! Is there not some easier, less incredibly stupid and annoying way to do this? This should be a very simple thing to do.

Hello! I have an Alienware x17, r1, i9, 64gb ram, rtx 3080, and lags in develop when going from one picture to another (3-4 seconds between photos). I found out that in preferences and system, that the gpu doesn't work: GPUDeviceEnabled: falseDirect2DEnabled: falseOGLEnabled: true (fallback = OpenGL)I tried everything chatgpt suggested, including turning off the other video card, and the gpu is still not working in lr on the 3080. What should be the problem? How can I fix this?

I'm at the end of my rope and lost on what to try next. I recently upgraded to an Asus ProArt monitor and have recalibrated with Spyder for this monitor. All of my images in Lightroom Classic are so dark and contrasted but only in LRC. They appear consistent and normal across every other browser and app. I've checked that my GPU drivers are up to date, played with settings in LRC, made sure LRC is updated, reset my preferences, restarted computer, made a new catalog, uninstalled LRC and reinstalled, exported in different color profiles to check, and I'm ready to cry and pull hairs out. I can't find any trace of help for this on their forums or even Reddit, everyone seems to have the opposite problem of their photos exporting darker. My colors have always been slightly off from LRC when exported, but never to this degree until upgrading. After doing adjustments in LrCC ,I further process in Photo shop and export to jpeg from Photoshop, but When immediately after export. The processed photo in LIghtroom resets to original status, loosing all adjustments I have done... Why?Is there any settings changed?How to correct it?

Subfolders are missing in this folder. Please relink? I don't appear to have any missing folders. How do I stop this error message? LRC 15.0.1 release

How to move an entire hard drives worth of photos and their folders from an existing hard drive to a new hard drive while maintaing their folder structure?

I'm close to running out of space on my 4TB Sandisk SSD portable data storage disk.I thought the solution would be to just buy another SSD portable disk and run two at the same time off my laptop.This, it seems, was not such a good idea.It's almost impossibly slow, with constant "Lightroom not responding" error messages and I've created a mess in my folder structure.What I'm thinking is to now go out and purchase a desktop data storage solution, something with 10TB storage which seems pretty standard and surprisingly cost effective.I would combine both of my SSD drives onto this desk top system.My only hesitation is the speed issue.A HDD drive is apparently a lot slower than my current SSD drive.However, if I store my Lightroom application and the preview file on my laptop hard drive and just have my images on a desktop HDD drive will I be frustrated with the slow speed.Any user experience would be appreciated.Thanks 

All,I have been using the above software on my Mac Mini and PC for cataloging and processing. Recently I have a problem with the cataloging and losing my downloaded pictures on just the Mac. I download my pictures and then establish the catalog name to store the pictures. What is happening is once I have finished the name or hit enter the catalog name and the pictures disappear. On Wednesday I tried download pictures and the new entry into the catalog disappeared, but all of pictures in the entire catalog vanish. This is only occurring with the Mac and not the PC. I would appreciate any advice on recovery these pictures.Thank you.

Hallo liebes Forum, ich möchte mir nun endlich einen externen Monitor zulegen, nachdem ich seit Lightroom 2 stets alles am Laptop bearbeitet habe. Ich habe allerdings ein paar Fragen und hoffe, ihr könnt mir helfen. Mein Laptop ist ein XMG mit einer Auflösung von 2560x1440 bei einer Skalierung von 150%.Der von mir favorisierte Monitor ist der Asus ProArt PA248QV, 24" mit Full HD (1920*1200).  Meine Fragen hierzu:- wenn ich diesen Monitor an den Laptop anschließe, wird Lightroom sicher "riesig" dargestellt, oder? So war es zumindest wenn ich mal meinen billigen Arbeitsmonitor mit Full HD angeschlossen habe. Auch als ich vor ein paar Monaten mit Lightroom von meinem vorherigen Laptop mit Full HD auf den jetzigen mit WQHD umgestiegen bin, musste ich erst eine Weile "basteln" ehe ich meine gewohnte Ansicht wieder hatte.
