adobe lightroom classic 15.01 does not start after the update, the process is in the task manager, but the program does not open, while version 14.0X is stable, everything opens immediately.

When a camera is disconnected during tethered shooting, the "Detecting camera" dialog box is intrusive and often worries my clients. Disconnecting a camera to change lenses, batteries, etc. is common in many shooting scenarios. While it is important to inform the user that tethering has been suspended, it would be nice to have the option for a less disruptive form of notification, especially since the computer is often relatively "client-facing" during many tethered workflows. The tether bar changing color or being greyed out might be sufficient. At the very least, the "Detecting" window shouldn't appear over the photo in the middle of the screen.
Since upgrading to 15.x I have an issue when importing images, where when trying to highlight a series of images using Shift+Left Click the highlight won't stick, it just flashes and leaves the first selected image highlighted. I have to wait around 30 seconds before the highlight sticks and I can tick the images for importing. I don't know what the app is trying to do at this time, but this didn't occur in 14.x and whilst doesn't seem like a major issue it still has an impact on my work flow. Steps: Click ImportClick Untick AllSelect first image I want to importSelect last image (holding shift) in the series I want to import Highlight won't stickWait 30 secondsSelect last image (holding shift) in the series I want to import Highlight sticksPress spacebar to tickClick ImportHURRAH! Once it's finished with this silliness, I can open Import and it'll be responsive as normal. If I eject the SD card and re-insert it'll do the same 30 seconds of it doing 'some
Un point d'exclamation s'est installé dans la racine de deux de mes dossier. possible de comprendre d'ou vient ce problème?D'avance merci ?
This is a new bug. It worked in LrC v14 (and all versions before that for the last 10 years or so). I am running LrC v 15.0.1 on Windows 11. I have checked File -> Library Filters -> Remember Each Source's Filter Separately. (Also "Enable Filters and "Lock filters" are checked). I am usine various filters for individual folders. What happens is that LrC sometimes remebers the filter, but sometimes the filter is overriden by another one from a previously viewed folder (as if "Remember ... Separately" was unchecked) Steps to reproduce (on my PC at least):Folder 1: Set some Filter 1Go to Folder 2: Set different Filter 2Go back to Folder 1: The Filter 1 is there as expectedGo back to Folder 2: Now there is unexpectedly Filter 1 as well, instead of Filter 2I am not exactly sure why it sometimes works, but it fails very quickly, so to replicate it is usually enough to just keep switching folders 🙂
On every import, the first image is always corrupt. Removing the image from the library and then synchronizing the directory brings the image back into the library correctly. I just updated to the most recent version, and the issue persists. Windows 11 24h2 26100.6899
Lightroom has worked fine for me for years until last week. Now I cannot import photos. I am working on a Desktop Windows 10. I plug the camera in like usual. I select the photos that I need to import (ensuring they all have the tick). and I click Import. And the bar opens up but no progress happens. I left it all night and nothing came in. I can manually cancel the import, and when I do it says "No photos or videos were found to import." I have tried the following: - Restarting the computer - copying the images to a hard drive and importing from there (same problem happens this way too). below is a screen shot of where it gets "stuck." {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
I have tried the following and issue persists:1. Restart computer / lightroom2. Restore default lightroom settings / preferences3. Uninstall lightroom CC, Restart PC, Install Lightroom CC, Restart PC4. Update GPU driver5. Disable GPU acceleration6. Create new lightroom catalog I am not sure where the error log file is located since there was a error prompt and it seemed to have uploaded to Adobe directly
Hey Folks, I'm trying to determine the official line on whether you can store photos on a NAS and import them to your Lightroom CC catalog. You'd think this would be a simple enough question, but no... Some users say you can, while others appear to have constant issues. If you contact Adobe support, they will tell you the answer is NO; you cannot store images on a NAS and import them to your LR Classic catalog. However, the LR Classic FAQ (here) states, "Can I store or share a catalog on a network? No, you can't store catalogs on a network, but you can store or share your photos on a network." If you point this FAQ out to Adobe support, their response is a frankly ridiculous claim that by "network," they actually mean "cloud." Now, I ask you, what company that runs a gigantic cloud storage service would suddenly decide to refer to it as a "network" instead of a cloud in a support FAQ? There's no way this FAQ was ever written to mean that.
Hello,I’m a real estate photographer, and I usually rename my files using my name after uploading them. I have to do this manually every time, and sometimes I make mistakes when I forget. How can I set it as the default? Right now, it uses the capture time by default.Additionally, the biggest issue is that Denoise in the background still hasn’t returned after the latest update, which I’m quite disappointed about. Please update me about both issues if possible. Thanks
Since updating LRC in the last few days I can not upload images from a USB stick and I also can not save work from Photoshop into LRC -What am I missing?
So far, I've gotten multiple different answers to this question, so now I'm coming to the experts for advice. Looking specifically at the new(-ish) UGREEN DXP2800 or DH2300 NAS systems, I want to see if I could set up my LrC Catalog and photos to be stored on the NAS with the capability of accessing on both my home PC (Windows 11) and my Macbook Pro (M4 Pro). Currently, both my Catalog and photo originals are saved to an external SSD that I can swap between the PC and Macbook Pro. I want to store everything on the NAS, which would be located at my house, so that I have the ability to pull up both my Catalog and photos from anywhere. I also want to be able to have my edits saved to the NAS so that if I edit a photo on my Macbook, I can later pull it up on my Windows PC and pick up where I left off. Obviously, I wouldn't try to have LrC open on both machines at the same time. This is simply my idea for a portable workflow without having to plug/unplug an external SSD
I want to use the Folders Panel in Lightroom to move photo files from one location in the windows file system to another. I know I must use the Folders panel in Lightroom, rather than Windows Explorer or Lightroom catalog will lose track of where the files have gone. Normally I use 2 instances of Windows Explorer to move files. One instance is for source, the other for destination. I cannot use this technique in Lightroom. And the Folders panel is really too small to expose two locations in the hierarchical file system to make effective use of drag and drop. There must be a better way to use this but I don't see how. Tom
I am having continuing issues with working along in Develop when suddenly Lightroom will jump into the Map Module. Very annoying as it breaks the chain of what you are doing and you have to check what was the last thing you did that registered against the photo and get back to the right screen within Develop for what you are doing. Worse still if you are not online, a message to that effect comes up in a big box in the middle of the screen and the only way I have found to clear it is to exit Lightroom and start again. I have to do a lot of editting Off Line as living full time roaming in a motorhome we do not have internet connection in some places. All the AI stuff has to wait till we have connection.
Is there a way to change the default Denoise setting? 50 is way too high - I'm usually between 15 - 20, at the most... Or, should I just create a preset and apply it on import?
On my MacBook Pro, LrC 15.0 is great in terms of features but it is impossible to import new pictures into the catalogue. That makes it kind of useless. I had to go back to LrC 14.5.1
Hello! Something in my Lightroom Classic corrupted itself again so I'm rebuilding all of my previews. For some reason, the photos from my Sony RX0 II don't automatically generate previews. The preview will generate if I actively select a photo and wait for it to get created, but doing the Library > Previews > Generate Standard-Sized Previews command just hangs. Individually selecting photos is not a great solution because I used this to make timelapses and I'd rather not sit here at my computer pressing the right arrow every second for hours. Is there something else I should be trying? I'm having other issues with previews but this is one that seems most actionable. I am trying to upload a multiple page web gallery of over 200+ images in Lightroom Classic and only the first page loads. When clicking from first page/index to next page/index nothing happens. "translation available" appears in address bar. Suggestions? And thanks.
I have uploaded many books created in LR Classic to Blurb. As of September, I have been unable to upload a created book to Blurb. I have tried the PDF suggestion, and was successful in making a PDF, but not uploading the book to publish. I have contacted Blurb. They say it is a bug/ glitch at Adobe end. The book will not begin to upload to be published.I found a plug in suggestion online, and downloaded it but it is for InDesign. I do not plan to purchase another app simply to upload a book.I have restarted, and looked for updates. I have contacted support at Adobe, but the wait was so long, I abandoned the effort.Very frustrated. Has anyone has this issue? Thanks,Shirley Burris
Ik had voorheen een watermerk op mijn foto's. Deze had ik een keer uitgezet en sindsdien krijg ik deze er niet meer op. Wat doe ik verkeerd? Watermerk gegevens zijn gewoon nog bekend.
outside LRc I have moved entire folder to new hard drive (from C to D),in LRc: with "update folder location" I managed to get the new place and everything seems to work, however in the "metadata" and "absolute file path" I see the old path!!but when I click on it; it points to the correct folder 😉
Sync is not showing exported image in folder on external ssd. Exporting to desktop the image appears. Program says image in in folder on external ssd, but it hangs and never shows up. a few updates ago I was just syncing the folder and the files were showing up without the import screen, now the import screen showing up has added another step.
I updated Lightroom from 14.1.1 to 15.0 and AI Denoise has completely stopped working. I have previously had Denoise failures with all other Lightroom versions higher than 14.1.1 that I have tried, which is why I've been using that version. Reverting to 14.1.1 always restores normal AI Denoise operation. I suspect there was a change to the Denoise implementation in 14.2 that causes it to consistently fail on my machine. The exact problem as I'm experiencing it with 15.0 is as follows: Clicking on "Denoise" for the first time for a raw file causes the "Applying Denoise" progress popup to appear, but it disappears when progress is only about half-way through, and afterwards Denoise remains disabled (as does Raw Details). This repeats if I then click on "Denoise" again, but with the popup being visible for just a fraction of a second, if at all, and Denoise continues to be disabled afterwards. If I then click on "Raw Details", Raw Details are immediately applied with
