Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

I’d like to request proper support for Smart Albums syncing to iPad within Adobe Lightroom.At the moment, Smart Albums (or Smart Collections) created on desktop do not carry across to mobile devices in a usable way. While I understand collections can be synced, the actual rules and automation behind Smart Albums are lost.This is a real limitation for workflows like mine.I manage a large, structured image archive (40,000+ images), using Smart Albums to organise content by:Location (e.g. streets and areas) Subject (buildings, features, etc.) Status (new, ready, published)During the working week, my primary device is an iPad,  it’s what I use on the go to review, select, and prepare content. Desktop access is limited to evenings or weekends.Because Smart Albums don’t sync, I have to:Manually recreate album structures Copy images between albums Rely on workarounds instead of automationThis adds unnecessary time and increases the risk of inconsistencies.What would help:Smart Albums syncing

When a client picks favorites through a gallery tool like Pixieset, the delivery workflow is: copy the list of filenames, paste into Lightroom's search, pull up just those photos to edit. Right now pasting more than 1-2 filenames breaks the search entirely, either no results or an actual error screen ("Oh no! A black hole"). This happens on both Lightroom desktop and the web app.Lightroom Classic already handles this correctly (Library Filter > Text > Filename > Contains Any, works with any number of pasted names), so the underlying logic clearly exists. It's just missing from cloud/CC search.This would help any photographer who delivers galleries and needs to pull a client's exact picks back into Lightroom to edit, which is a pretty universal part of the job, not an edge case.

I have a workflow where I convert my Sony ARW files to DNG files as they are much more space efficient. Currently I have to do this through Lightroom Classic using the Library menu -> Convert to DNG. It would be incredible convenient to do the DNG conversion direcly in the cloud, on the android app or at least on the windows lightroom. This way I would not have to deal with the brittle sync between Lightroom Classic and Lightroom, and everything could be done on the go.

I'm probably at the low end of the prosumer category when it comes to photography. I've been using Lightroom for a couple of years. I love the multiple platform feature on the new CC, but geotagging images has always been important for me (enough so that onboard GPS is a mandatory feature when I look for a camera). I had been adding locations to older images in what's now CC Classic. Are we going to get that ability in the new CC? Even more importantly, will the new AI-based search allow us to do things like pull pictures based on location? And, if so, will we be able to do things like define a radius? This was all possible when we had the maps panel, but seems to be challenging now.

Allow bulk "Update Ai Edits" for Lightroom Mobile. Context:I was bulk editing a set of photos. I did this by selecting the photos and pasting the settings.When I attempted to bulk download these edited photos, the app prompts that the photos need to have "Update Ai Edits" performed.  Doing the "Update Ai Edits" is tedious, hence this feature request.

Bring back the catagories for suggested presets..   why was it removed it was so useful for finding the vibe while editing?

The extensive HDR support across all versions of Lightroom is amazing. However, sharing the images is still challenging and it would be incredibly helpful if Adobe Portfolio supported HDR photos (ideally shared as gain maps).   The existing HDR support in LR Web Galleries is great (example). However, it lacks the capabilities many photographers are seeking to share their work. Adobe Portfolio is a much better fit for many people, especially given it's included with Creative Cloud and the excellent Lightroom integration.

Please add motion blur effect in blur effect list, motion blur like panning photography, 

The issue is that the app has features like generative expand and generative remove, and I want these to not be in my app. I will migrate from Adobe completely if this isn’t fixed.

I'm primarily a Lightroom Classic user but use the cloud-version on my ipad so I also. have it installed on my Macbook. Today I discovered that "Community" and "Learn" takes up a lot of screen space on the left side panel. But I can't find out how to remove these from my left panel.   I use Lightroom for my own photos and have no interest in using it for browsing other peoples photos. Do I have to go back to a previous version or will this bug be fixed?

how do I recreate the smart album for photos without keywords in the cloud based version please

I cannot understand why some tools are implemented on only  the mobile (iPad/Phone/Web) platforms.One example is "Add Border and Share" - this should be on all platforms (especially the desktop version) .. Maybe this is down to the feature name "share". Would a better name be "Export with Border"

I’d really love for the “Remove Extra People” button to be removed or removable. It is in my way almost 100% of the time that I try to use the removal tool on Lightroom Mobile. I’m sure it helps some people, but for working professionals who don’t remove people from photos because it’s unethical, it’s a persistent hindrance. Thank you for considering. 

Feature Request: Filter Photos and Videos by Date RangeLightroom Mobile on iOS currently does not provide an option to filter photos and videos using a custom date range.It would be very useful to have a “Date Range” filter, where users can select a start date and end date and see only the photos/videos captured or imported during that period.For example:Start date: January 1, 2025 End date: March 31, 2025 Show only photos and videos from that periodThis would be especially useful for users with large Lightroom libraries, making it much easier to find, organize, tag, move, or manage media from a specific trip, event, or period.Please consider adding custom date-range filtering to Lightroom Mobile for iOS.

Please allow for image "stacks" or "groups" on Lightroom for iPad. This would be relevant for (at least) the following workflow:   * Maintaining copies of both Raw and JPG images alongside each other, without seeing the images twice in the catalog; also, allows you to reject/accept both Raw and JPG forms in a single step. * Collecting in-camera bracketed images into a single group.   Even with this, you'll still need Lightroom Classic to do any sort of stitching (HDR, Pano, etc), but this would at least allow my iPad catalog to stay organized until I can make it back to a computer with LrC. Thank you.

There is only one color-based Adaptive profile. The Adaptive Color profile is quite good overall and works well on most images I take. It saves a significant amount of time.Occasionally, it will not do a good job. This is often when making a picture too bright when it’s not needed. I would like to see more adaptive profiles to handle more situations or provide more options. It is clearly better than those which do not change based on the image.

Please add the ability to increase/decrease exposure or shadows with the (+/-) buttons in Lightroom (CC) NOT classic. Not having the ability to alter the sliders with the keyboard on MacBook Pro running Lightroom is frustrating. In Lightroom Classic, you can modify the lighting in the develop panel with keyboard shortcuts. But with a Mac laptop that is running Lightroom Creative Cloud version, it does not allow you to use the same +/- keys to change the slider amounts and when you aren't using a mouse when traveling and it’s a big inconvenience for workflow.  Thank you!

This capability of filtering by orientation (landscape/portrait) is already implemented in the “Cloud”portion of Lightroom.   It is obvious some of the more resource intensive capabilities are limited to just being able to handled on the “Cloud” side but filtering by orientation is not resource intensive and seems can be easily handled locally as well.  In fact - There is a simple implementation of filtering by orientation in Bridge.  Currently it is necessary to export from Lightroom, only then to have to go over to Bridge to filter by landscape/portrait.Thank you for your consideration of giving this same orientation filtering capability to the local implementation of Lightroom!

In Lightroom mobile: Is there any way to keep the watermark in the "Add Border and Share" option? Makes no sense that you decide to remove that from that option but to keep the same for all the other share/export options.

put the watermark option on the web page for Lightroom cc, I have the option on my ipad but not on my MacBook.

I use LR Desktop/Cloud purely as a place to showcase photos that have already been populated with metadata and edited in Classic. It would be extremely desirable if my painstakingly filled-in location metadata were not automatically replaced. Particularly since a) the language of the entry is changed: my place named in Germany are filled in in German, etc, and in the cloud they are all converted to English, the language in which I use the program and b) Desktop/Cloud changes all of the 3rd level locations in Germany, France, Italy and Spain (could be more, I’m not sure) from the “State” to the “Region”. Kind of like changing “California” to “Stanislaus County”. Not desired behavior.

it would be great if the size of the images in the grid view could be adjusted using the command +/- (Mac) or similar on windows keys.This currently works in detail view, adding it to the grid view would be great.Thanks,

When I am on the desktop version of Lightroom Cloud, I can very easily click on a folder I’ve created, for example I have one called “Completed Work”, and when I do that, I am shown all of the images contained in the various albums inside that folder, which correspond to different projects and things. On mobile (ios in this case, though I’m told it’s the same on android), I am forced to click into each separate album before I can see anything at all and there is no way to corral all of the images in that folder in a single view, which wastes a lot of time and is frustrating. Please treat folders and albums exactly the same regardless of platform, and allow us to click a folder on mobile and view all of its contents, just as we can on desktop. It’s got nothing to do with a limitation of loading or displaying so many images at once, because all of those files (along with ~30,000 others) are included in the All Photos view and that has no problem loading at all on mobile.   [and reiterati

I use Lightroom on iPad to cull large numbers of portrait photos.My workflow is:Scroll through the grid (for example, image 463 of 629). Mark several candidate photos with the Pick flag. Filter the view to show only Picked photos. Remove the Pick flag from the weaker candidates until only the final selections remain.The problem is that when I disable the Pick filter and return to the full grid, Lightroom always jumps back to the beginning of the album instead of returning to my previous scroll position.On Lightroom Desktop (cloud-based), the scroll position is preserved, so this behavior is inconsistent between platforms.Preserving the previous scroll position on iPad would significantly improve the culling workflow for photographers working with hundreds of photos.Each subject typically has around 10 photos. I first Pick about 5 candidates, then filter to Picked photos and narrow them down to the final 3 selections.
