So apparently Lightroom mobile cannot open these files at the moment, produced by OnePlus 12 camera app in HEIC enabled 10-bit color. I mainly shoot this type because editing in mind and it would be nice if supported in Adobe mobile ecosystem.
This seems like a "no brainer" . . . I've taken the time to input a Caption in Apple Photos, that caption should be copied over to Lightroom upon Import. Apple Photos does not offer a Title field, but it has a Caption field which should automatically be copied over. I think it's obvious why it would be helpful to me—to save time!!—so that I don't need to re-input each caption!
Please show some sort of icon on the thumbnail of a photo in grid view if the photo has got named versions.
Hello, I recently purchased a preset pack, RNI All Films 4. The presets come in XMP format and each one comes with customized profiles in DCP format. There is no way to get these DCP profiles to work on my IPad. I have already imported the presets and profiles to my Desktop Lightroom CC (Not classic). Only the XMP presets show up under the presets menu, but the profiles don't show up on any mobile devices. This renders the effectiveness of the presets. I have tried to edit a photo on the desktop and then try to open it on the IPad and it tells me the profile is missing and I must switch to a standard profile (such as Adobe Color) to continue editing. I have tried many different times and combinations of uninstalling and reinstalling the app and desktop versions. It is very frustrating to deal with this, as I am trying to go mobile and use the IPad as my main workflow device. I was able to make it work on my phone because android has the option to let you import
Hi. After having migrated my wife's and my consolidated 50k+ photo library from iCloud to Lightroom CC, I am now looking into how to share specific subsets of pictures with her and my family, most importantly our parents. We have agreed that we do not want an "open", unencrypted system, as could be done by sharing on the web: (a) because of privacy issues, but more importantly (b) because we would need to send around new links for every new album to all family members, making administering the family-wide photo sharing much more complex. Once we start having kids in 2-3 years, this issue will boil up big times 😉What I am suggesting to come up with is a read-only sign-in for family members (or standalone "Lightroom CC Reader" app) to which we can share specific albums (e.g., those including our future kids) without the photo data to leave the Lightroom CC ecosystem. This has briefly mentioned here, but I felt this issue is big enough to start a new conversation.I know
The export feature should include a renaming option so that the exported images and XMP can be renamed [descriptor_sequence numer ] instead of inheriting the original file name. The sequence number should adher to the actual sort order when exporting the images.
I love lightroom camera support RAW format, that improve iPhone photo quality so much better! Can you show histogram when shooting? Lr's RAW always overexposured +0.7EV (Why?) And support shoot in 2x lens? Like BlackMagic Cam app native support 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 5x lens, not digital zoom. (I'm using iPhone 15 Pro Max)
Currently, when editing, if I want to delete I have to click the 3 button menu >organize > delete > Ok. That's 4 clicks. That is too many. Streamline the delete option. Don't bury it under organize. And give an option to opt out of the 'are you sure you want to delete' screen.
Hello everyone, I wish Adobe Lightroom to have a tool that can help recovering the lost details in highlights by painting from background pixels or by doing guided laplacian technique. This feature will help us to recover atleast 0.3 Stops of exposure from the highlights which will enable us to expose better for the shadows to avoid noise there. Please provide this feature for RGB RAW files as highlight recovery might not be possible for jpeg YUV format files.
Left clicking on the image zooms in to 100%. When I change the zoomed in value to eg. 50%, after left clicking twice (zoom out, zoom in) it zooms in to 100% again. Please make the zoom amount stick to whatever I've chosen.
I am sharing albums of photos with friends/clients. If I enable the download option I would like to see which photos are downloaded, how many times each photo is downloaded and ideally by who. Can I do this and if not is this a feature others would welcome.
After successfully using Lightroom gallery during the past year to share collections from Lightroom Classic, the order of albums in my gallery has recently become scrambled. (The order of images within albums is fine.) I've tried: unsyncing the collections and then re-syncing in correct order; removing the albums from gallery and then adding back in correct order; and lastly, deleting all images from Lightroom and then re-syncing the collections from Lightroom Classic and adding to gallery in correct order. No matter what, the albums appear in gallery in a scrambled order. Am I overlooking a solution? Thanks!
The new Snapdragon X Elite chips have a built-in NPU for AI tasks, but when you use AI denoise it falls back on the GPU. This makes it take a significant amount of time, and it could probably be sped up with NPU support.
Is it possible to see editing history in Lightroom mobile? I made changes to a photo many months ago and do not recall what I did. I want to do similar changes to the rest of my photos from that shoot and I usually edit in Lightroom Classic. I know I can copy and paste the settings but I would like to know specifically what changes I made.
When importing photos on Android, I can chose which type of pictures I want so see before i select the ones to be imported (jpg/png, raw, video; see screenshot below). I'm desperately missing the same feature on my desktop (windows). Please implement or help to find it.
When you connect an external display to an iPad, the screen currently simply gets mirrored. That's fine, but it could be utilized in a much more useful way. A simple improvement would be to only show the currently edited photo on the external display, similarly to how LumaFusion does it. Even better, however, would be to also alter the iPad screen to only show the sliders and not the currently edited photo, since it's already visible on the external display. That way the sliders could be larger and/or you could fit more of them on the screen at the same time. The iPad screen would then be fully utilized as a kind of control panel while the external display would only show the edited photo so one could see it nice and large. Apple documentation for supporting external displays on iOS apps This feature has already been discussed here, but since it was posted as a discussion instead of an idea, I created this post so others can upvote it.
I am a Germany based editorial photographer and I want to work with the Lightroom-Cloud and my iPad more and more since it's just a convenient way of working especially while traveling - even though the features and possibilities are still quite limited. My feature request: being able to drag&drop images out of lightroom on iPad into another app in split-view with preset export settings for that case. So maybe this is a very neiche problem, but - for my work I like to compose pictures to combine their visual elements and enhance the story telling as well as the visual appeal. For that I use to create exposés in apps like Keynote or other Layout-Applications. So on my Mac I used to export the files I want to put in the exposé onto my Finder and then import them into the application. Then on my iPad I could use the same files from the iCloud and drag&drop them with the apple pencil or my finger right into the layout-frame in e.g. Keynote. Thats very handy and a lot
Lightroom has switched itself to the "streamlined"ui, mentioned here: https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2023/07/26/adobe-photoshop-lightroom-has-new-mobile-interface-make-editing-even-easier-on-go and the option to turn it off no longer appears, the option previously appeared. I don't want to be forced into this interface change, it is honestly worse as a ui and I can't even change my images to the correct profile with it (the default Adobe Color profile is way off and is inaccurate). Make it availble to have plug ins from mobile/ipad to upload to website
Hi, it would be really great if the Search facility could be improved to make it easier to see photos or counts of photos by metadata (ISO, Shutter Speed, Focal Length, etc.) much like Lightroom Classic. Classic has a filter that lets you see this information easily: I understand that CC can filter by metadata, but its slow and cumbersome and does not include any counts: Even darktable has a great feature where you can see a small graph of the count of each value and you can select a range of values with a quick mouse click/drag: An a right click give a popup with counts and an instant filter: Why is this important? One recent example was when I shot an even with my 24-120 f4 lens, but wasn't sure whether a 70-180 f2.8 would have been a better choice. This was a slow and tedious thing to work out in Lightroom CC, I had to select each Focal Lenght individually and add up the numbers on a piece of paper. I then pointed darktable at the same folder of images and literally dragg
I love retouching with the Apple Pencil. It would be amazing if we could turn off touch painting while the Apple Pencil is active and paired with the iPad. This way, our finger touches do not inadvertently retouch the photo that we are working on, especially when using cloud generative AI features. Speaking to the latter, having this feature and functionality would help save energy and compute resources from inadvertent touches.
Is there a setting that send a notification when someone has requested acces to view an album instead of an email? Am i missing it somewhere? A badge sound notification for iphones and ipads would be better.
In light room I would like to see a feature where I can quickly sensor nsfw photos. Like a blur function in the masking section would work good.
I think we as users who post to the "Community" should get a more active notification panel. When my photos have been featured on this section of Lightroom, I have no idea that it is featured until I see the blue ribbons. A push notification system would be so helpful!
