Lightroom's new masking panel is very versatile, but I needed several times to control the amount of effect of an individual tool within a mask. This often happens in high contrast scenes, especially clouds that are brighter than the rest, or any areas that have different levels of brightness, like when the sun shines onto only part of a mountain or a valley. Typically, in Photoshop, when applying an effect or adjustment as a new layer, we can easily control the extent of that adjustment by simply adjusting the opacity of that layer. In Lightroom, although a mask does have an amount slider for the overall effect of the tools (linear or radial gradient, color range, select sky, etc.) that are part of it, there is no such slider available for the individual tools. The Brush tool may be the sole exception to this rule, since you can actually control the extent of the effect of the brush within a mask, by adjusting the Density or the Flow sliders, depending on the situ
Hello, There should be a tool in LR to fix and harmonize skin tones. HSL is for the whole picture, so would prefer a tool which fixes only the skin tones. Best way would be via AI.
I would like to see Lightroom offer full support for HDR displays. Photos and videos taken on the iPhone can look drastically different in Apples Photos app vs Lightroom. When you view them in Photos you can see the display ramp up the display into HDR mode and show more dynamic range. I'd like Lightroom to support this, and also allow us to edit photos in this way. Currently if I edit a photo in Lightroom and export back to Photos you lose the HDR portion of the photo. Almost every display in my home is able to display HDR, and as more and more people upgrade their displays this could become an important feature.
It is pretty surprising that this is not already a feature but here we are it would be very helpful to have clipping indication in Lightroom Mobile.
Users should be able to easily search their library for photos / videos that do not have a location as part of its meta data. Currently, in Lightroom (v5.5 for macOS at the time of writing this), users are not able to search for "no location". Just add a search option called "No location available" in the drop down menu. In Lightroom Classic, this was easy to achieve with the usage of Smart Collections.
I've been taking part in the monthly remix challenges. I've often wished to revisit a previous remix I've created as I've learnt more about Lightroom. Hello @Katrin Eismann, LR PM I seem unable to reply to my own post so an edit here. Would using presets allow me to go back to an image I'd already remixed and pick up where I left off? To be clear: I remix and image and share it I'd like to go back and remix the SAME image again?
When using the moble app, I have found it very difficult to make fine adjustments with the masking brush since the brush is beneath your finger. I would love to see more of a pointer or magnifier above the finger or some way to make detailed lines without my finger hiding the brush tool. Anyone else have this issue or already have a solution?
Hi! I like to take photographs in black and white and I think it would be a stellar feature if you could implement the zone system (Ansel Adams) in the work flow. It would be easy to lets say have buttons from 1 to 10 and choose one to get a picker. With that you would mark a part of the picture, you want to have in that zone and the program would change exposure and contrast according to the needs. This should work with two chosen zones. The second feature would be the other way round: you have a loupe or something similar and a display would show you, what zone it is, where you hover at with your loupe.... I am no software-guy, but I think this should not be too hard for any specialist and it would be a killer feature in lightroom.... Thank you very much, Stephan
Being able to select the sky is just one idea or feature of a photo. AI is smart enough to identify different features, such as people, buildings, trees, mountains, River / Lake / bodies of water, foreground objects, flowers, animals, and so forth. I would like to have a feature that automatically selects all prominent ideas in a photo and a masks them for me so that I can go and edit those individual masks
The photo grid is useful for projects that are active or in flight, but past projects clutter up my timeline, especially since I try a lot of different things and not everything works. I would like to be able to clear up the noise by having an archive that I can go and view/search separately
I would like to use Dropbox instead of Creative Cloud to store, access, and edit my photos in the cloud. I'd rather not be using 8 million different cloud services for my cloud documents, and Dropbox frankly is miles ahead of Adobe in terms of pricing, features, and value. It seems like there was a Dropbox/Adobe Integration a while ago, but that link no longer works on Adobe Exchange. Is this something that's ever going to happen?
When I share my pictures in the web through the public web link the keywords don't show. They can be seen in the private link but not in the public link. How do I get them to show? Thanks in advance.
I would like to see some built in functionality to use the depth data that is captured by the iPhone camera (and any android camers for that matter) to adjust the bokeh like in the native Apple Photos app. This would be a great addition to the already present depth map support in masking, although I think this should be in a more accessible UI location than masking. This would help my current workflow since I often snap a photo in iOS. When I go to edit in Lightroom I decide the bokeh is not exactly how I wanted. To adjust I currently have to: 1. Delete the image from Lightroom 2. Go to iOS photos and adjust the bokeh 3. Reimport the photo into Lightroom It would be great to handle this all in Lightroom
Trackpad support was added to the iPad a few years ago. I personally use the Magic Keyboard a lot. I'd love for someone to go through Lightroom for iPad and add right click context menus where it makes sense (mimic the desktop version). I find myself right clicking often out of habit from other apps and from my desktop workflow and it doesn't work.
I bought the premium for the Lightroom hoping that I will get back all of my presets because I accidentally deleted my Lightroom (those presets were so cool) so can you pls fix where all of the presets that has been saved will sync And another is that can you put a search history on discovery and make it easier to search for author and publishers
Hello. I ask you to implement a function in lightroom to change the cache storage disk (through the settings of the lightroom itself or to pull the settings from the system settings) I also ask you to return the ability to put flags and ratings on photos shared for access and editing - this sucks, that for work you need to perform a round of saving - uploading to your new folder - putting down ratings - sharing to the same person who sent the same files. It's inconvenient for collaboration
Meu Samsung Tab s6 lite tem 4gb de ram, queria saber se vão liberar as máscaras (Céu/assunto) pra dispositivos com 4gb de ram, pois tenho certeza que o tablet da conta de processar!!
Feature request for Lightroom mobileUse case: Making picks and rating photos -- while using an iPadIt would be great if the keyboard shortcuts I already use at my Mac would also work on the iPad. I frequently use a keyboard for my iPad (I think a lot of other iPad ninjas do too) and if I could use keyboard shortcuts to make my ratings and picks, things would really fly!
Hello,I don't know how is this not possible or implemented as normal. I waste so much time every time i want to delete photos or photos because a message pops up every time. Why there is not an option to remove that and why do i need to read the same message every time?I know that i can select multiple images or mark them, but sometimes I don't want or can't do that, and i don't want to read the same pop-up message again and again. Please implement an option to turn it off. Thank you
"Choose Best Photos" is not available in either downloadable desktop version. Please add this feature. I love this feature, but it is only available in the web browser or mobile app. To use this with my workflow, I have to create a Collection and sync it to the cloud. Then switch over to the app or web browser to use this feature. Seeing it in two of the cloud versions, I am disappointed that it isn't at least in the downloadable cloud based Lightroom version.
On my new phone I noticed that the import behavior when adding images from the camera role has changed. Previously I could tap an image and it would instantly open. Now when I tap the image, it's selected and the blue "Add" button appears. Clicking that adds the image to the Lightroom library, from which I then have to pick and tap it again to be finally able to add it. What was one step before is now three steps. I noticed on my old phone that it still had the old behavior and there was an additional option in the import dialog, "Select Mode". Toggling that option switches between the two behaviors, so all good. However my new phone doesn't have this option. I even deleted the app on the old phone, reinstalled it again and now the option is also gone there. What happened to this option? Why was it removed for new users? It's a huge step back in usability.
For light room I don't need anything crazy just want to add audio tracks to video. My use case is small doesn't justify a high end program.
Hi, everyone! Well, I believe some of you guys have done this suggestion before, but it would be amazing if the next update for mobile Lightroom have the option to organize the pictures in catalogs, just as Lightroom Classic.
Hey, can you update the themed icon on Android 13? developer.android.com/about/versions/13/features here's the documentation [moderator moved this from Discussions to Ideas]
Pleeeeeeease make a method of deleting photos faster with just one tap while editing in lightroom mobile. Today I only use my iPad with editing tool and I think it's horrible to need to tap organize > delete. Make a one-touch delete option and disable deletion confirmation, as there is already a deleted items folder so the user can retrieve their accidentally deleted items. thanks!
