The June 2026 update to Lightroom (v9.4) lets you add AI-generated motion to your photos, recover and sharpen blurred images using AI Sharpen, explore people-focused culling, and organize smartly. What’s NewThe Lightroom ecosystem (v9.4) brings more creative flexibility, speed, and control to everyday workflows. On desktop, the new Faces panel streamlines people-focused assisted culling with Eye sharpness and Eyes open scores, making it easier to pick the best shots quickly. You can also bring photos to life with Generate Video, turning a single image into a short video using a simple text prompt. AI Sharpen (powered by Topaz) restores detail in slightly out-of-focus images, while improved subject selection when masking and the interactive Histogram give you more precise control over edits. Custom color labels help streamline organization and keep projects easy to track. On mobile, iOS users can now edit photo location data directly in-app, while Android users get seamless blemish remo
Adobe is excited to receive requests for additional features you need to enhance your workflow. What can you do to increase the chances of being heard? Don't use the words "Feature Request" in your post's title. Search for and add to existing feature requests rather than creating duplicates. There is no advantage to creating a second request for any existing feature request. One request per thread! When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on a single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests. If an Idea thread has multiple requests in it, a moderator may ask you to split the multiple requests up into multiple threads so others can vote. In the event there remain multiple requests on a thread, the first item requested will be the arbiter of where the thread will be cross-referenced or merged. Describe how the feature will help your workflow. Des
I am using Lightroom (Cloud) on a Windows 11 PC with plenty of ram etc. I have noticed that since the last update (9.4.1) that when I am in the Masking tools that if I create a mask (any style of mask) and make any changes to any of the sliders if I then create another mask of any style it automatically applies all the slider changes to the next mask I create. I have tried to use “Reset Sliders Automatically” setting that doesn’t make any difference. I have also noticed that once this happens that it will not allow me to right click (PC Version) on the new mask just created to delete it. I have to go up to the EDIT on the main menu and then click “Undo New Mask”. This is very frustrating and time consuming to have to manually reset all sliders. I have been using this Lightroom (Cloud) a few years now and have never had any of these types of issues with the masking tool. Am I doing something wrong or am I correct in thinking the controls of the masking tools have changed?
One of the main reason I and many others stick with Adobe, is that with Portfolio it offers a built-in portfolio website builder. Since I have created my website four years ago, no updates have been made to the system and it’s starting to feel out of date. Adobe really needs to keep this feature up to date if it wants to keep users from ditching Adobe for a cheaper alternative and different portfolio website provider. Edit: I have no idea why this post has been moved to the Lightroom board, but the fact that there is no dedicated Portfolio board underlines my point.
My mobile LR's subject detection fails to work since few days ago, probably starting from last update. It does not even work on simple portraits (see attached, emoji and rectangle drawn on screenshot only).
Hi, I have an issue with Lightroom (installed from the adobe cloud). Search is broken for me all the time when searching for words in file names. I can't get it to come back with any results for anything. It says "Oh no! A blackhole"
I sometimes look at my photos and think they look terrible and then I realize the HDR is turned on. Even worse. Sometimes I'll be editing and have to re-edit because HDR was turned on. It's too easy to accidentally turn it on or off.
Since updating to Lightroom Desktop 9.4.1 on macOS, the "Choose" button for Graphic Watermark always opens the last photo export folder instead of remembering the last folder used for watermark PNG files. Even after selecting a logo from a different folder, clicking "Choose" again still opens the last export folder. Resetting Lightroom preferences does not resolve the issue.
07/8/26 936 pm, keeps freezing and not working AGAIN, no other programs running just lightroom and I can’t even edit one picture without it locking up
After an update on July 2026 LR mobile...the video is skipped during import...this was never happened before, this isn't happening with the photos although but with the videos. Can't import video after an update
I would like to be able to use the Adobe Creative Cloud to be able to able to be viewed from the local tab. Sharing cloud access to other users with a license I would be able to do the Lightroom CC features like storing the metadata associated with it. So any flags, ratings, and other edits settings could be used like a traditional NAS or direct file settings. It would also be great to be able to add or delete things from those files. This would help with culling with multiple users.Additionally, it would have more flexibility to do large projects all at once and reduce the amount of downloading files to import to your own Lightroom library or working from direct files which kinda defeats the purpose of using Lightroom cloud based.
Insert the possibility for collaborators to be able to use the V (selected) and X (reject) flags in the shared photos and also the star rating. Additionally, contributors can't use tags in shared albums. It is very important that these possibilities are active because it helps to work the photographs faster between the various teams to which the photo albums have been shared.
Hi there! We are a lens manufacturer and wanna add our lens profile into Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom's official lens correction database. As a lens manufacturer, we understand that Adobe supports lens-specific correction profiles for RAW workflows, including distortion correction, vignetting compensation, and chromatic aberration optimization. We would be very interested in collaborating with your team to provide the necessary technical data and testing materials required for profile creation and validation.Could you please advise on the official submission process for lens profile integration and the appropriate contact person or technician responsible for third-party lens profile onboarding? Cheers,
This post applies to the Project Indigo iOS camera app. Adobe Labs is excited to share an early look at Project Indigo, an iPhone camera app we've started to develop, to get feedback from the photography community. The app offers full manual controls, a more natural ("SLR-like") look, and high image quality in both JPEG and raw formats. It also introduces some new photographic experiences not available in other camera apps. For more information on the underlying technology, please refer to this Project Indigo blog post. Before you start with Project Indigo We recommend using Project Indigo on iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max or newer devices.(Also supported are 12 Pro/Pro Max, 13 Pro/Pro Max, and all 14-series devices.) You should have at least 1GB of storage space left for the app, the downloadable AI Models inside the app, and for captured photos. Download the app from the App Store. Check out the Project Indigo FAQ, which is updated reg

keeps telling me there is no internet connection, but I am on the internet on this device.
Here we go again. Lightroom began crashing on me over the last few days. All updates are current. Working fine thru the editing process and just began crashing. I have filed many reports and no contact from Lightroom yet. Anyone else have this issue just begin? Hoping for a work around. [Mod: Moved to the appropriate Lightroom ecosystem forum]
从原设备打开的文件后仍然还是这样的
I am no longer able to hide the giant menu on the leftThis sidebar menu needs to have the capability to be hidden on the tablet application. This is supposed to be my photo gallery. The grid of images should take up as much of the screen as possible. The sidebar panels are still able to be hidden on desktop and my phone. Am i missing something?
If I copy an edit or choose a preset for my image, on leaving the image to the next image, the edit reverts to original. It's like no edit stays, because even when I edit from scratch, like in the attached images, I adjusted my saturation and vibrance slider, but on coming back to the file, it's reverted back to original image. I can't also save versions. There is also no auto saving of versions. Moved the saturation and vibration slider. 5:22Exited and came back to same image. The edits are reverted. 5:23
I am extremely frustrated with the current state of Adobe Lightroom on iPhone.Since installing the latest version of iOS (26.5.2), Lightroom has completely stopped launching. It simply crashes during startup, making the app unusable and bringing part of my workflow to a standstill. While I do the majority of my editing on my desktop, Lightroom Mobile is an essential part of my workflow. As a photographer and content creator, I rely on being able to edit images in the field and quickly post them while I'm away from my computer. Right now, I can't do that.I've already tried every basic troubleshooting step: Deleted the app. Reinstalled the app. Restarted my phone. Re-downloaded everything. Nothing has resolved the issue. At the same time, my Adobe subscription has increased by roughly $30 per month. It's incredibly frustrating to pay more while the software I depend on won't even launch.I've been using Photoshop since version 1.0. I've stayed with Adobe for decades because it has alw
I’ve used the Compare feature (Opt+C) in Lightroom heavily for a long time. It’s critical that we be able to bring focus to either the left or right image in Compare view, in order to flag / crop / edit that image. But In Lightroom 9.4, clicking the Left image fails to select it. However, if I click the Swap icon, it’s now the right image that can’t be selected.Update: Turns out the issue and source of UI confusion is actually the Multiple Images / Before and After selector. If I toggle it to Multiple, it works normally again. But something about the 9.4 update switched the default to Before/After (I guarantee that I didn’t do that - I never touch that widget), resulting in the broken behavior.
