Media Server (read-only)

How do I get rid of a rectangular popup that often appears when I am trying to view a video.It Adobe Flash Player Settings, Local Storage and requires that I accept more storage for something like "lauchnews.com" and offers a Confirm or Deny button.  Sometimes it goes away if I click Deny, but often it does not.I have Windows 7, using the IE browser.How do I get rid of this pop up?  Thank you.

Hi,     I am creating a application in which I am using Multipoint Publishing between the servers. I am using four Flash Media Servers for streaming. But after some time the stream stops publishing between the server appoximately after  5-7 minutes. All servers are developement servers.Please reply if anyone know the solution.warm regards.

There's a server, which sends an AVCDecoderConfigurationRecord tag and continuous H264 video tags. In the client, I use NetStream and appendBytes (Data Generation Mode) to display the video. I am unable to view any tv shows or videos online.. I am told that I need to install latest version of Adobe Flash Player.  Checking, I found that Adobe is installed I went through all of the steps to troubleshoot, and downloaded latest version for windows 8.1.  still cannot view .. what am I missing???

I play stream serverside from another Adobe Media Server in an application that I wrote and than I publish that stream to Multicast application . When I republish stream , if stream already exists after sometimes it was receiving Unpublish.Success and it was stopping multicast stream , So I added Stream.destroy if stream already exist but that doesnt fix the issue either and now multicast application just clears published steram after about 2 minutes . How can I make sure that republished streams are done properly ?

Ive got a streaming company and want to expand into video streaming.I downloaded the Media Server 5 free trial and got it running on a server in my data centre.It doesn't seem to have a control panel like our audio servers to set up and create customers.  Mange their a access and provide links to use in encoder and website.Does something else need to loaded to give me control or am i missing part of the program as im only using the trial version first.Assistance would be appreciated to someone new to this program that will buy it and anything required if it does the job in trial version firstRegardsAndy

After streaming a live event I'm left with a directory located at:\\[server_root]\Adobe Media Server 5\applications\livepkgr\streams\_definst_\livestreamwith the following content:livestream.bootstraplivestream.controllivestream.metalivestreamSeg522.f4f --> through to livestreamSeg1199.f4flivestreamSeg522.f4x --> through to livestreamSeg1199.f4xI want to be able to now provide these segments as VOD.1. I'm assuming that this is possible and I don't need to flatten the segments2. That somewhere there is documentation that clearly describes how to to what I'm looking to doAny advice to steer me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.Thanks

For live events, we currently send two streams from the on-site encoder to the Adobe Media Server.  One is for unicast clients and one is for multicast clients.  All of this occurs on our internal WAN, and works perfectly fine.  However, we have been contacted about conducting a live event from a very bandwidth constrained site, and this has me wondering if there is a way I can send just one stream from the encoder and have the AMS sort it out into unicast and multicast output streams.Is there a way to do this? Hello,I need to setup Adobe Media server for my production environment and I have some questions.I need to have online media library (video on demand) available for end users as clips embedded in my site. My questions are: - What kind of source files are supported (source format, video/audio codec etc).- I also need dynamic video quality (user internet connection quality sholud be detected and video quality adjusted automatically). In addition, video should be transcoded and user should be able to choose video quality (and resolution) by hand. FlowPlayer is preffered player to be embedded to my site and it should be set up as client for adobe media server. What is the best way to implement this scenario? I can't find any step by step guide how to setup this (including dynamic quality adjustment). Any help- Live streams. The same as vod. I assume I will need Flash Media Encoder to encode stream from input source, so client will need to setup bitrate and other parameters? How to setup dy

I'm using  fms 4.5 vod application to play rtmp stream in flex Video Display client.When the video is paused for 100 seconds the stream gets disconnected from server.its not resuming when the play method is invoked.The player's state is changing to 'playing' but the video is not playing. I tried the same client with fms 4.0 and it starts playing when the play method is invoked after disconnection.Can any one help to resume the video with fms 4.5?

I've been looking high and low for this. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Keep in mind i'm not a coder. I'm working with a development version of the Flash Interactive Streaming Server on a Windows box that's also running IIS. In essence we need to maintain a searchable / categorized library listing of our videos. This listing would include a preview image and description. It should also allow for categorization and of course should be searchable. We need an application/program/widget that will present a web page that's an indexed listing of all of the flv files available on our Flash server. This listing must be searchable. Obviously we should be able to provide a short description of the content of the video which is where the search hits would be coming from? It would be NICE if the app/script auto-scanned folders on the server to find new videos but we would have

What are folks using these days for video analytics? Are you using a tool like Sawmill to analyze your AMS log files? Or are you capturing user data on the front-end? Any direction and suggestions that you have would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi,We are building an analytics application for Flash Media Server located in a content distribution network. We obtain access logs from the FMS server and use the log entries to display metrics.We would like to know if there is any way to determine the cache status from access logs.Also, are there any scenarios where a stop event does not follow play event?When we monitor the logs, the "x-file-name" field sometimes contains two extensions (filename.flv.flv). Is this the expected behavior?We have also noticed that multiple log entries for a single seek action has been generated. My company has had great success delivering multi-bitrate VOD content with AMS for about a year and we are relatively pleased with the process of embedding content into individual webpages on our website. As our content grows, however, it becomes increasingly difficult to locate videos on the site. We would like to add an area to the website that looks and acts like a video library, akin to a YouTube or Vimeo channel. In researching options we've found several "YouTube-in-a-box" products but they appear to replace AMS, which we're happy with and would like to keep if possible. Some clients connects to our network with vpn Citrix and get the screen presentet from Citrix.The video quality is bad, choppy and sound out of sync.Is it possible to set a specific quality for clients connecting with Citrix in AMS?Do you have a best practice when using Citrix./Anders

Hello fellows.I recently saw a post here in this forum and got amazed with 5000 users.I want to set up a AMS based live streaming service, and thought if you, as more experiencied users could give me some advices.My biggest concern is about the internet bandwidth. I like AMS because it have the multicast feature, but it is a little bit confusing for me if it only works at LAN, for intern corporate communications, or if it can be used to live stream video worldwide.I would like to know how big is your internet bandwidth. I need to calc how much the multicast does help.I would really apreciate if you could give me any tip.Thank you very much.
