When working on a document and I need to undo something, quite often a prompt pops up after undoing, showing the history panel tour (please see attached screenshot). I've gone through the tour a few times, but it keeps appearing. It also leaves the history window in place as shown below, which is irritating because I have to move or close it. Is there a way to turn this off? This has been happening with the last few versions of InDesign.

Is there any way to make the flashing text insertion cursor more visible in Illustrator? When setting type for paragraphs, I'm always having to hunt around to find out exactly where it is. Can the color be changed from something other than black?

I was forced to update to Photoshop Beta this morning, and soon realized that all of the custom saved keyboard shortcuts and workspaces are gone. At least the libraries are still there, but very frustrated this happened. Unless I'm missing something?

Hi all. Please see attached image… is there a shortcut to place consistent space between the images, both horizontal and vertical? Maybe a smart guides feature? I always eyeball it but would like to have a quicker and more accurate method. Thanks!

I recently updated Bridge to the 2023 version and can no longer select a file and drag to the trashcan. I've never had trouble with this before until this new version loaded. Is there something I need to turn off or on to resolve this issue?

Hi all. This has been a bugaboo of mine for a long time and wondering if there's a way to address it. Please see attached screenshot. I drew these popcorn shapes, some corners are flat (purple circle) and some are pointy (green circle). Is there a way to make all of the corners pointy?

Hi all, A few days ago Photoshop started acting weird. For example, let's say the move tool is selected (V). I then press the C for the crop tool, but it won't stay as the crop tool unless I hold the key down or rapidly press C twice. To go back to the move tool, I either have to hold the V key down, or press it rapidly twice. And this is the case for all of the tools that I commonly use. I switched over to Illustrator and InDesign to see if the same behavior happened in those applications, and it did not. I only had to press the key once to get the corresponding tool. I've reset the preferences, and restarted the computer a couple of times and the behavior stays the same. Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks for the help, everyone! @jane-e , so guess what? When I tried changing the extension in the Finder it was the same as previously, just added the letters and renamed as xxxx.psdt.psd. But when I did the same thing in Bridge, it did work successfully! Check out the warning window it gave me in Bridge. It did no such warning in the Finder. I opened the file and sure enough it default named in the banner as Untitled, forcing me to save and rename. Exactly what I wanted, thank you for all of the help.

Thank you, Dave. Of course, I just remembered you can save the document size as a "preset" on the welcome window. But it's not the same thing if you want guides or maybe a background image set as the default.

Hi all. I have researched this and seen all kinds of answers, but nothing seems to work. In the old days you could save a Photoshop file as a template. This prevented you from opening the document again, making changes, accidentally pressing command S and overwriting the original template (pressing command S always forced you to do a save as and rename the document ). I'm on a new iMac, using Photoshop 2022, but have noticed this issue in Photoshop versions during the last few years. Per other discussions I changed the extension in the finder by adding a "T" to PSD, but it always reverts back to PSD, and pressing command S saves the document. Is the "save as a template" option a bygone feature of old Photoshop versions?

Hi all, I have a circle that starts out tiny and expands quickly to cover the entire image area. Is there a way to place a white stroke around that circle that also expands in diameter, but doesn't get thicker as the circle gets larger? I'm wanting to keep the stroke at 3 pixels through the resizing. Thanks.

So, my troubles with Bridge continue. Every time I start or restart the iMac, then attempt to launch Bridge, I get the same error as above. In other words, after every time the computer starts up I have to reset the preferences in order for Bridge to work. Then I lose shortcuts, saved layout, etc. Overall I'm worried that I may have a tainted Mac. This computer is only three months old and doing a lot of weird little things including this Bridge problem and corrupt files with InDesign. I had to completely reformat the drive and reinstall operating system about a month ago because of errors that first aid caught but couldn't fix. Also now when I restart there is an additional Macintosh HD drive icon that I have to eject because it serves no purpose.

Hi all, Well, there's a new development with this problem. Every time I shut down the computer or restart, then launch Bridge, the error appears again and I have to reset the preferences. I lose all of the shortcuts, window setup, etc., but at least Bridge works. Any ideas why it "resets" the error whenever the computer restarts? David

Hi guys, No go... none of this solved the problem. When I restarted in recovery mode I ran Disk Utility but stopped short of reinstalling the OS. That is time consuming, but I'll do it if you think it will work. I downloaded and ran Big Sur Cache Cleaner early on and it didn't help. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge several times during this process as well. By the way, my iMac is brand new... bought it less than two months ago. Meanwhile, I'll just not use Bridge. At least everything else runs normally. Thanks for your suggestions. David

Thanks, Gary. I did as you recommended and it made no difference... same error. I went to the Get Info/Permissions settings for Bridge and changed them back to what they were before. Thanks for your advice on that. Oh well... there's always finder with the icon or gallery view. I have used CleanMyMac for a couple years and it seems to work well. Unfortunately it didn't help this situation. David

When I attempt to launch Bridge it says, "The operation could not be completed." My OS is Big Sur 11.1, and Bridge was working fine (even after the update to Big Sur) until a few days ago. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge several times, even installed version 10 to no avail (same alert/error). This is really frustrating, Adobe!

Hi all, I just finshed redesigning my website but am having a problem with mobile view. Here is the URL: http://www.davidabahm.com Every page is tiny, not adjusting on my phone as it does in the responsive live view in Dreamweaver and in browsers on my desktop when I resize the window.
