How do i get rid of this message? ie. the brown one that says 'Time to update' By @fayaaz_tayab9440   Running an older version of Beta or Prerelease does not help the engineers, so you will get this message to update. It is there by design and cannot be turned off. To "get rid of it", you either need to use the most current version.   Most likely you will need to update your computer and OS to one that will run Prerelease.  Your other option is to uninstall the Beta or Prerelease. You won't see the message in the Released version.   Does your computer meet or exceed the recommended system requirements? JPEGs are lossy, meaning they irreversibly degrade images every time they are saved and closed. Best practice is to save in a lossless format such as psd or tiff, then save once to jpeg. @_v__design    Did you reset Preferences as suggested by Sameer on the thread you linked to? If you reset manually by renaming the file, then you can retrieve it if it doesn't help. Be sure to back up any customization first. I tried later copying the file directly to my iMAC and opening it directly by Photoshop - it works. So it seems there's some problem with accessing the local server in Photoshop, By @Radomir1   Adobe does not support opening or saving to a server or external drive. While it may work sometimes, you risk damaged files, denied access, or slow performance. One of the error messages they list is the one you are getting.   "Recommended workflow "Technical Support strongly recommends working in Photoshop directly on the local hard disk. To prevent data loss, save files to your hard disk first. Then transfer them to the network or removable drive in the Finder or in Windows Explorer. To retrieve files, copy them in the Finder or in Windows Explorer from the network or removable drive to your hard disk. You can then open the files in Photoshop. The recent automated measures against account sharing are creating a lot of friction for users like me By @Doktorbonfus   I've been using Photoshop since 3.0 and can confirm that account sharing has never been allowed. I go back and forth between computers and have never gotten the issues you are seeing. Adobe staff is on this forum, and they may be able to assist.   Have you tried enabling Quiet Mode to see if that helps? Preferences > Notifications > Enable quiet mode.
