I would like to see the ability to "pin" projects to the After Effects home screen. This way, commonly used projects (templates, etc.) could be quickly accessed along with recent files. Similar to how Photoshop or Illustrator have "templates" to choose from when you start a new file (and how you can create your own from this area). Pinned projects could be shown at the top of/above the "recent files" listing. The value is always having projects you need/use handy even when you've worked on a ton of other stuff between usages. I see this being something all programs could benefit from. Home screen in AE. "Create New" in Photoshop "Create New" in Illustrator

The functionality is already within Adobe's grasp with Sensei but I fear it won't come to CC because it's a good selling point of Experience Cloud. Adding this would provide an amazing amount of value within Bridge by essentially making it a mini-DAM for local assets. I'd be on board!

When exporting/importing markers between programs, I've noticed that Premiere Pro and Audition handle their .csv columns differently. Ergo, it takes an extra step of manually reformatting the .csv exported from one program to import into another. Please consider standardizing the .csv columns to make for easy export/import of markers between programs. (And please consider adding Marker export/import to After Effects.)

I'd like to be able to export After Effects composition markers to a .csv as I can do in both Premiere Pro and Audition (and be able to import .csv markers from these programs, as well). Additionally: Something I've found is that Premiere Pro and Audition export their markers in different ways in their respective .csv files. It would be nice to standardize the .csv to streamline export/import into other Adobe programs. I'll post a separate feature request for this.

No speed ramps/retiming was used. Straight footage from my PXW-X70 camera. I had a Windows 10 machine for years and it worked great with no issues. I still haven't gotten the .mxf to work as expected on Windows 11 yet.

@Ishan Y - I finally was able to get the source files flipped to an .mov (there was another issue where AME wouldn't accept the .mxf files but it magically started working...) and then my renders were clean. It took about a week to find the right codec to keep it from artifacting, but I finally got it. There has to be something with how Windows 11 & NVIDIA handle H.264s and MXFs. I haven't experienced this in 20+ years of working with Premiere/After Effects/AME and it consistently shows up using these file types on Windows 11.

This has been cold for a while, but I recently updated to a Windows 11 machine and, while AE and PPro can read .mxf files from my Sony camera, Media Encoder can not (thus I can't make proxy files). Also, when in both Preview and in Export, there are weird digital garbles immediately after an edit point and often PPro gives a frame substitution error. I can provide more details if needed, but this seemed to be as close of a thread as I could find to my issue. Any ideas? Thanks!

I am attempting to render proxy files via AME v. 24.4.1 (Build 2). The originals are MXF files and import correctly and without issue into both After Effects (24.5.0 - Build 52) and Premiere Pro (24.5.0 - Build 57) on Windows 11 Pro (PC & OS details at the end). AME dialog box reads: "File Import Failure" Error Message: "The file [path] could not be imported. The file format is not supported." The same file imports, plays, etc. in both AE and PPro versions listed above, see the files imported into the project panels of each: I would expect MXF files imported by AE/PPro to also be imported by AME. Please help if you can. Thanks! I would like to see the ability to toggle absolute/relative position of the start/end points of a gradient. The current system has you pick an x/y position within the composition (absolute values). I would like the option within the effect itself to use these composition coordinates or lock them with the layer (relative positioning) so that - when moving the layer's position - it doesn't fly through the gradient. Yes, I know an easy expression can handle this. For example: x=transform.position[0];
y=transform.position[1]-100;
[x,y] The point at which it becomes tricky is when layers are parented to each other. The child's layer position becomes relative to the parent layer's position, the expression would effectively revert the effect to an absolute position. Yes, you can add other expression controls to make the "offset" variable (instead of "100" in the above expression), but depending on how many layers you're working with, this becomes a large time suck. My thought is to have a simple drop-down next to the "Position" settings within the effect to be Absolute (to Comp) or Relative (to Layer). Then you could specify the ± x/y where you want the gradient to begin/end. I've added two reference animations in case I'm not communicating properly. First, in gradient_test, the "relative" version utilized the expression above (with different y offsets) for the gradient's begin/end. In gradient_test_2, both layers are utilizing the basic expression above (with different offsets for y), but the child layer looks like it's absolute due to the position properties being relative to the parent layer.

Rewire is still missing and I'm unable to use certain Waves plugins because of it. I'd love to stay in Audition while using the plugins, but they just won't work without the rewire. Please consider reinstating them.

The ability to select multiple clips or tracks and apply the same effect to them simultaneously - either by using the track/clip effects or by copy/pasting effects - would be a huge time saver. Yes, I realize you can create a preset and apply an effect rack that way, but you still have to do it one track or clip at a time.

Standardize effects and presets with Audition. Offer a UI for both track & clip effects and the ability to easily save presets of either one. The functionality is there, just in another program. It would be great to port these features over for those in a hurry 🙂

Version 21.2.1 Windows 10 PC Intel i7-7700 nVidia GeForce GTX 1070 I often need to reuse layers in multiple comps and have historically been able to select layers, click/hold and drag those layers to another docked composition, then that composition will become active and I can release the mouse button to "drop" the layers into this composition. In the latest update, I am no longer able to do this with docked compositions. I have to first undock the "primary" comp that has the layers I need (so it's now floating "on top" of the Photoshop window with the "secondary", docked composition), then click/hold and drag to the secondary comp window. Not a huge deal, but I've learned to do things one way and now it doesn't work anymore.

For my sequence, it's 4 cameras (3 @ 1080p, 1 @ 1080i due to limitations of camera). Each clip is around an hour long with the AVCHD codec. I have a main mechanical HD (7200RPM) that houses the programs and such, but all media is on an internal 6G SATA 128GB SSD.

Same issue here. Multicam sequence, using Lumetri on master clips. It takes 10-15 seconds to even load the effect onto the clip. When clicking on a clip with Lumetri on it, it takes just as long. My system is good, about 6 mo old (4GHz i7 Gen 7 processor, 32GB RAM, Nvidia 1070 w/ 8GB Video Ram) and it's still choking. Cleaning database doesn't change things for me 😕
