When is Adobe going to support the new IPTC metadata standard published in November of 2021? I was looking that the latest Photoshop and Bridge and still no ALT TEXT field in IPTC. What is taking so long for Adobe to add this new standard. Article in March for lightroom feature request. https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-ideas/p-support-for-new-iptc-accessibility-metadata/idi-p/12797354
Layer styles are useful because of their parametric and their non-destructive natures. Smart Filters are useful, but require the creation of a smart object beforehand. I'd like to suggest new layer styles, of commonly used effects, that would help to automate time-consuming tasks. Mirror would create a reflection of the layer that fades with distance, it is commonly used in the products pictures of a famous computer/tablet/music player/phone manufacturer, and is even available as a Word art in Powerpoint! Another common name for that effect is "wet floor". Proposed settings that one would be to be able to select: direction (bottom by default), angle of the reflection, starting point of the reflection (so that the object/layer can appear to be floating in the air above the reflecting surface) distance/curve of the fade, maybe an option to desaturate, lighten/darken, and/or blur with distance) There could also be an option to increase/decrease the width of the reflection. An additional e
I turn snapping on/off very often. The default shortcut Shift+Ctrl+; is very useful. However, a lot of times I don't know whether I have snapping turned on or off, and have to click on the view drop down menu to check. A little icon/panel that is always visible for snapping options would be very helpful. Here's an example from 3D software Blender: Thank you for looking into this!
I tried to explain this in the picture above, I do hope you understand what I mean and I'm sorry if I described it wrong, thank you to @davescm & @TheDigitalDog for help if you can help me explain it better please feel free to edit my thread. Here is an example of my latest work/style to give devs an idea of how it would be useful to me: (Link removed by modetator) I'm using gradients quite alot in Photoshop and I have no intention to switch to illustrator I wish to main this program and continue advancing as a visual designer in it! I trully hope to see something like this in the future.
Hello I work in film at major studio. I make backgrounds alot and I notice most of photoshops updates for this decade are geared towards portraits like selecting hair, or maniupulating the face to make them old, ect. I know you also added replace sky features and AI for landscapes too but mostly its focused on potraits, and selection. As someone who designs backgrounds, like cities and buildings there are features in Adobe I would like to see added for all my designers out there, architects, concept artist, and cityscape photographers. I'd like to see a perspective grid /drawing tool added. I was happy when you all added symmetrical drawing tools because they are super helpful but I was hoping you all would keep going and add the rest of the draftsman toolkit most software these days have, like rulers and perspective drawing. Even if you're doing photo maniuplation of a city, having perspective tools would be handy. I dont know who is in charge of making updates to photos
when using brush tool or any other tool that works with eyedropper it would be niceif it was possible to go up and down color values of a picked color. pressing and holding alt (brush mode)and go up or donw with the stylus to determine desired colour values of picked colour. It would be really useful when coloring and zoomed in to be able to choose colours and colour valuesof a picked colour while in brush mode. The ability to change colours under the tip of the stylus just by going up and down the screen or pick a complementary set of swatches. all under the tip of the stylus.Holding and going up lighter values, down darker etc.
when using the brush tool it would be great if i could press my wacom stylusdown on my screen and set the brush width without using short cuts. Just press downand find with pressure sensitivity the brush size you need, when released after 1 second on the same spot size is set. This would be really useful when inking a drawing and different brush sizes are required.
This would vastly improve the color accuracy of the neural filter that colorizes: You should be able to take a "reference" photo from a cell phone. So, for example if I have a picture of a scene in color from the phone, I can use that to convert a black and white photo to color, and it will draw on those colors to fill in the scene,
I need Adobe photoshop 2021 - API Integration of neutral filters on into my website. I need head detection, hair thickness and some other few filters to get integrated. How can i do that?
Like in Illustrator, we should have the ability in Photoshop to copy formatting of other text using the eyedropper tool (or something similar/new)

I use curves a lot. The bright white banner at the top is visually distracting and interferes with my visually balancing the image. Also, to get to the "preview" toggle you have to cover part of the photo with the curves command which is very visually distracting. I sugget on all commands the preview toggle should be as far left as possible so the command pallate can be shifted as far right away from the image as possible. In the curves command, the "preview" can be just right of the "channel" option. Great product. I've been using it for 30 years or so. Thanks for consideration.
Hi! I think it would be great to add some kind of future to ''cancel'' the previous made free transformation. Without using ''undo'', i now did some new adjustments which I don't want to undo but i still want to cancel the free transformation of an object. Seems impossible.
Please add new fonts like Lovelace, holiday, League spartan, and many more because the available fonts are already used infinite times.
When I have numbers of edited jpgs to be saved one after the other, Photoshop may retain my last entry for "JPEG Options" dialog choices, "Quality" (0-12) & "Format Options" (Baseline, Baseline Optimized, Progressive). This is the preferable behavior. But very often in a work run, Photoshop shows a mind of it's own & changes either of the settings each time the dialog pops up, I presume based it's idea of content complexity. I never prefer this, and it is a major workflow irritant because I must both watch for unwanted changes, and switch away from comfortable, fast muscle-memory keyboarding to the mouse. I understand you can keyboard the slider & radio button entries too, but every new step adds errors and takes time. I do not want to use an action to save the files, my fingers are on the keyboard already nor do I want to assign a hotkey combo. I want to address the issue of Photoshop picking it's own settings. My idea request is that the issue be solved by m
can you please give us the ability to add new image files to an existing stack (file>scripts>load images into stack)? if I want to add something to a large stack, it is a huge waste of time to have to start the process from scratch. this would be a dream come true.
The underlying processing for the Match Colour facility in Photoshop seems to be fairly basic and capable of refinement. [Removed by moderator.]
I want the ability to change the keyboard shortcut for "lock transparent pixels" which is by default the / keyI'm not quite sure why this isn't included in the editable keyboard shortcuts list.
The height & width, along with the coordinate values, are vertical in shape properties but horizontal in artboard properties. This simple swap has been a nightmare as i always click and copy the wrong value.I can't think of any, but is there a good reason why these four values are not uniformly positioned?
At the moment if a user makes changes to an existing workspace it is not possible to just save those changes. The user has to save a new workspace and give it the same name to overwrite the current workspace. This is counter intuitive and also more steps are needed than necessary. Maybe to some users it is even discouraging because you get a prompt to overwrite your existing setting. Please consider adding this functionality and a simple menu command to facilitate saving an altered workspace with just a click. Please see attached screen mock-up
Hei Adobe, thanks for a fantastic product! When I start up Photoshop I have the "recent" photos - I love that function! I work with a lot of images every day - some I work with for weeks and other just for minor adjustments. Since I have a lot of images I work on for weeks, I would like a feature to pin them, so they always stay on top of the recent list. I hope you think it's a good idea. Have a fantastic weekend, best regardsGordon Tsujimoto Thaysen
