I would like to suggest an enhancement to the Sponge tool in Photoshop. It would be incredibly useful if the Sponge tool could be updated to allow the ability to saturate or desaturate a specified color range, similar to the Hue/Saturation adjustment panel.Currently, the Hue/Saturation panel allows users to select specific color ranges such as Reds, Yellows, Greens, Cyans, Blues, and Magentas, and then adjust the saturation. This functionality is very powerful and precise.I propose that the Sponge tool includes a similar feature where users can choose a color range (e.g., Reds, Yellows, Greens, Cyans, Blues, and Magentas) and then use the Sponge tool to selectively saturate or desaturate those colors within an image. This would provide users with more control and precision when editing photos, especially in situations where specific colors need to be targeted without affecting the entire image.Thank you for considering this feature request.
I don't want to scroll these Photoshop's panels anymore. Yes it is at the very bottom of the screen, but there is no reason to make it scroll when my screen resolution is large enough for it to show them all. I am on MacOS. How can I fix it?
I have been using PS since 1993. I want an option with some of the new tool presets to not accept them during the upgrade process. As I have seen in the community boards, lots of people are having issues with the updates to the crop tool in PS 2024. The ratio preset cropping is a POS. If I wanted a ratio-specific crop, I can set that myself. Not only is the ratio crop garbage and I cannot adjust the image properly, the AI is stupid and doesn't recognize the true size of the image. Clearing the preset is not intuiative and should not be the default. The default should truly be standard cropping since the new AI toolbar doesn't allow you to clear the option but only the main toolbar. The additional keystokes to turn it off wastes my time for such a simple task as cropping. I've not sworn at PS this intensly since MX 2004.
i was using elements for years just starting using photoshop 2024 and wow its so much of better than elements only thing i want is a photo bin, photo bins makes it better because a having 10 or or photo open and i have to click on each one and that can be annoying so adding a photo bin on the side to the right to click on like layers and bruch sizes would me this editing be more organized.
The variations pane is basic and slow. Allow us to select the variations we are interested in then export those to a contact sheet for review. Could also export to powerpoint!
I can't wait for the generative videos on Premiere, Fast fill project is amazing, and the demo excels, but I know that we can import video in Photoshop, and it would be very nice, to have the capacity to generate video implanting, and most of all swap backgrounds in motion, also in Photoshop. I also have Premiere and After Effects, but for me, Photoshop is a sacred Adobe environment. I have thousands of shots with a green screen, the whole film was shot with a Red camera, in the studio.I am expecting that release from Adobe, for Premiere, though, I am using Premiere as my editing application choice.
I understand that these are two different programs but i'm curious to why they dont use the same controls with zoom, move etc. And that the UI aren't very similar is also abit wierd tbh. These programs do go hand in hand in photo editing so it would make sense that they looked and operated abit more similarly.By looks different i mean that Lightroom has a more fun/cartoonish vibe to it with sliders etc and Photoshop has a more stale/industrial feel to it which is prefered. You could also make it so holding down scroll wheel access the move key instead of space+mouse1. Affinify photo does this and its very user friendly.Add the right-click brush option to "Selection brush".
Please add a preference to select between standard and reversed layer order so I don't have to use a keyboard shortcut or access the function via a drop-down menu every time I open a new file.
The "Increment and Save" command in After Effects serves the fundamental need in professional creative work of preserving the various development stages of a job. Cinema 4D and other pro software packages also have this. Photoshop should too.
Version: All versions of Photoshop Idea #1When Photoshop modifies a file it saves the PS version to the file's properties at "EXIF - Software". This shows that the file has been modified. This, however, gives no indication of "what" or "how much" was done to the file and isn't very useful. I suggest that when the EXIF data is written the current number of History stages be included. While this won't tell what was changed it will show how much has changed. A high number of tool usage would question the veracity of the image.
I would love to be able to automatically create multiple individual layers from a selected transparent imagem with multiple selections on it. Current scripts (like Selection 2 Layers and SO to Islands) are deficient and don't work very well with any kind of image because they work with masks not the actual selections. We definitely need this natively, which is surprising it still doesn't exist in 2024.
When saving a picture, it shoud be possibele to save it with a unique (random) name. Then when making a save action, it won't overwrite the original file.
After the latest "update" to photoshop, whenever I drag an item from the library to a document I'm working on a popup comes up saying it is now a "linked" file and if I want to place it as a copy, I have to hold the ALT key down while dragging it from the library. What I need to know is how do I turn this stupidity off? I'm extremely aggravated that I now have to go to the extra step of remembering to hold the ALT key down while dragging something from the library. This is stupid, just turn the crap OFF and never have to do it again. I have looked at every option in the preferences and there is nothing to turn this junk off in there. Adobe needs to STOP arbitrarily changing things and screwing with people. If you implement something, turn it off and show a ONE TIME pop up telling people they can turn it on IF THEY WANT TO. Just stop turning CRAP on that nobody wants. This is the dialog box that pops up. It never came up before this latest upda
Hello Adobe,I want that any Urdu Numerical text, when copied and pasted into Photoshop, should automatically convert to English...if i copy the text (۱۳۲۷۵،ج۴،ص۴۳۳) and paste it into Photoshop, the text will Appear as (13275،ج4،ص433) Similarly, when i copy a numerical text in any language and paste it into Photoshop, it should be converted to English Numerals.
Photoshop should make it so you can print multiple designs and photos at once and change the settings for each one but still only need to click one print button. This would be really useful for photographers or graphic designers so they could print loads of designs and photos at once but still tune each print. This idea was created by me, Shane Henry.
Dear Adobe Community, can anyone explain me the reason why working with most filters in Adobe Photoshop is so clumsy and complicated? I mean - is everyone happy with the filter preview is usually shown in a separate panel, on a checkered background, separately from other layers? In example: Liquify, Filter gallery, Ripple and many many more. It is especially disturbing when working with light objects, which are hardly visible on that checkered board. I also don't get the logic of showing the filter preview separately from the rest of the picture - trying to set the right values of the effect is always like a blind date, the result can be seen only after applying the filter. This is so inefficient. If there is a way to change the preview modes on those filter panels, I don't seem to find it. There actually is a check mark in Liquify panel for "Show Image", but it changes nothing for me. Maybe anyone has tips for that? Thank you.
I save 99% of the time as JPG, but can't figure out how to configure this as a default selection in the "Save as" list of output format choices. It really slows me down have to scroll through a list of "useless" options everytime. I am using the latest Windows version of PS. It doesn't remember any of my previous actions or choices.
Photoshop has the ability to copy shape layer attributes, but I don't see any way to copy the style of one text and apply it to another, so I have to do it manually, which takes time. Is it difficult to make such a function for text in Photoshop? It would be convenient to have this feature in new PS's updates.I hope I didn't miss it)
The newly implemented progress bar for the Remove Tool (remove after each stroke) in the new PS 25.11 is horrible. Everytime you drag over to remove something you get this invasive and distracting progress bar box on the top center of the screen. Before, there was a small, simple spinning circles progress and only if the removal was complex, it would show a progress bar box.I suggest using the almost useless and usually empty top options bar for all progress bars for different tools so they are not on top of your image.Final Cut Pro already has something like that in a circle but in Photoshop the options bar is usually empty so it can easily be used for displaying information out of the image's frame. Also time for something new in the adjustment boxes... After 34 years the windows in Photoshop are pretty much the same. Nothing has really changed and not too much innovation on the GUI...I suggest a floating transparent popup for certain things like snapseed for iPhone where you ca
I would really love to see the option of a half drop pattern preview. This would be really beneficial for surface pattern designers. other options like in illustrator would be nice too, but half drop is the one i believe would benefit most. I often have to use clunky workarounds which ruin my work flow
I teach Photoshop in many schools including UCLA and Photoshop Meetup groups going back to the 90's. Ever since I can remember, I have had to tell my students to remember to change the default color setting in Photoshop to Adobe RGB. I am not sure why Adobe keeps placing sRGB as the default since it is a much smaller color space. If people do not know or remember they need to change the color space to Adobe RGB, then when they print, they have lost a zillion colors that they could have used and the colors and feeling will be off. The emphasis of sRGB as the default so that people maybe most want to to work on images for the web is just not true. The color space from Adobe RGB is the standard around the world and I wish Adobe would make this change finally!!! Then we can change to sRGB anytime. They have always had this backwards!!!
Just make the generative fill panel a normal ass panel that you can dock and leave somewhere. The fact that it is always popping up right next to your selection is super annoying. It's always in the ay when I select something, and I'm constantly having to move it.
Add 2 buttons to undo and redo like Adobe Fresco. Although this seems like a pretty simple options but it will help artists make painting much quicker.
as a designer, the issue i face to create similar images.as AI can do that better, it will a great addition in photoshop.
Please consider default adjustment settings instead of some arbitrary settings when initating the adjustment. As an example, when initiating the Brightness/Contrast adjustment, Brightness and Contrast should be set to 0 instead of 50. Thanks for listening.
