Photoshop Elements

Hi - How do you change the size of the marquee selection?  Sometimes when I try it distorts what is in the picture, other times it just enlarges or shrinks the selection without distortion.  I can't figure out what I'm doing different between the two different scenarios.  I did figure out that to move the marquee tool you point to the center of it then you can click and drag.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks in advanced!

Cannot batch edit multiple photos using horizontal flip. Can batch edit other changes.

My bluetooth keyboard skips, adds second letters, and is nearly impossible to use when I open Photoshop Elements. I have the newest versions of Elements and Windows but I'm scared to open them while using my keyboard!  Help.

I had CCleaner clean unnecessary files and update programs and now I cannot easily access my Elements 11 program and it will not automatically open images as it did before.  Two program files are on my ACER computer program menu, one just says 'PROGRAM FILES', the other is titled 'PROGRAM FILES (X86)' where the Adobe file is found.  I can open Elements 11 from that file and then open the image files, but I cannot open the images directly nor do the ELEMENTS 11 shortcuts open ELEMENTS 11.  What can I do to activate the shortcuts and link images to my ELEMENTS 11 program?Thanks!  

Hi All - my mother asked me to design some letterhead for her.  My initial design (using PE) was multi-layered with the use of drop shadowing and beveling effects on some of the layers.  It worked fine for the top boarder, but I wanted to horizontally and then vertically flip top boarder to use as bottom border.  When I horizontally flipped (within PE), everything was fine; however when it came time to vertically flip, my drop shadowing and beveling effects became distorted (almost in reverse of the originally designed image).  I also tried a letterhead version without any drop shadowing or beveling effects on any of the layers, and this came out fine when the top boarder was horizontally and vertically flipped (again, within PE).  I am posting the two different versions of the letterhead files (in .psd format) so that anyone who thinks they might be able to tell me how to straighten out the bottom, flipped boarder with drop shadowing and beveling effects that

My computer crashed and I lost just about everything. I had , long ago, saved Elements 9 along with it's Reg.# but now when I try to load it from a portable drive I get , ERROR 6. Can anyone help?

Being a novice with Photoshope Elements, nevertheless I achieved the look I wanted with several photos, However, not having written down the detailed steps for the process, I now find, a year later, that I have no idea of how I achieved the desired results.   I am looking for some detailed help and assistance in order to recrated the look and effect of the attached image. Thanks to any and all for your assisance Ron  - Atlanta GA

I have a problem with Topaz Photo AI as a Plugin in Photoshop Elements 2023.It worked when Topaz was originally installed but now doesn't. I have reinstallled Topaz and manually installed the link file into the Photoshop Elements Plugin folder. Has anyone else seen this problem and got a solution?

Had trouble initially installing elements 2024 in Feb.  (Error at loading of ippCV library).  Adobe sent me the fix and worked fine.  Now, tried to edit a raw file after installing their new raw file installer (ver 16) and need some 'fix' to graphics accelerator.  So, uninstalled 2024 so that I could install camera raw editor ver 15.5 instead of 16.  Now, back to the original problem of not able to install 2024.  So, found the original 'fix' in old email and guess what - that fix was only good for 24 hours!!  Anyone have a simple fix for these 2 issues??

I'm currently using PSE 2024 and I'm trying to find photos that were shot at a certain ISO speed and the only options are preset at 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1200, 1600. I have Nikon Z50 and my ISO speeds are many and  go much higher. How I find a specific ISO number 280? 360? 4000? and not a range?

Since upgrading to Elements 2024  sometimes when I try and save an image a totally blank white screen pops up with the message "Confirm Save As" and will not let me do anythin except end task. This never happened with previous versions. I am on Windows 10; Elements 24.0 Thanks

A few days ago while working on photoshop, my younger sibling messed around and made the layers tab disappear. From what she tells me, she accidentally drug it out of the pse7 window and it hasn't shown up since. I've tried logging off and logging back onto my computer, shutting it down and restarting, but of course none of that has worked. Any help, please?

I am using Photoshop Elements 9.0 on an iMac with Apple Sierra IOS. Over the past year a question mark has been appearing in the upper left on some of my photos in the Organizer mode.  When I click on the photo it goes to a search mode but never finds the photo.  This problem has grown until today all my photos have the cursed question mark.  How do I recover from this?  Thanks. Hi Team,  we are upgrading a windows 10 machine to windoes 11, on this machine Adobe photoshop 2023.update is completing with out any issues, and after 1st reboot machine got stuck in HP logo as part of troublsooting we disabled the virtualization technology vtx from BIOS then it is allowing me to boot the machine  to troubleshoot more we uninstalled adobe and enable the virtualization technology vtx it helpd me to boot with put any issues. so with adobe photo shop and virtualization technology vtx enable from BIOS machine unable to boot  please let me know what might be the issue.  i read one of the old artical in adoabe discussions (https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-elements-discussions/photoshop-premiere-elements-does-not-run-on-win10-with-activated-virtualization-function-intel-vt-d/td-p/10344231) it is simpler issue  please help us how can we resolve this issue.  

I just upgraded from 2018 to 2023 Elements. My Topaz Sharpen and DeNoise AI are not showing up as available plugins. Still available in my 2018 but not showing as available in 2023. Is there something I need to do to try and make them available? Using Win 10.

Can someone please tell me where to download a plug in for Elements 2024 that will open webp images?Also, once I download it, what folder should it be put in to be recognized by PS Elements?thank you!

I recently purchased the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 bundle which includes, video editor.I use Windows 10 (version info below) I have purchased a new robust Dell Desktop computer which will be my main computer and where the organizer catalogue will be kept.My current computer has my photo folders mostly organized by year and in a path that includes OneDrive, however I have settings set so that most of the photo files remain resident on my computer. ( I admit, this has gotten a little confusing in the past since windows 10 apparently want to keep it's own picture folder intact)I am attaching a photo capture (two photos) of my PSE folder Structure plus a capture of my system info.I know I can't sync the catalogue on OneDrive with the idea of using it on multiple devices. My desire is to keep my old computer at a different location. Still having access to PSE 2020 and photos when needed and OneDrive, but not relying on that older computer and catalogue to by my primary catalogue fo

I have Adobe photoshop 19 on a windows 10 PC and my Adobe photoshop 19 is working fine there. I have just installed Adobe photoshop 19 on my laptop with windows 11  I have a larger screen attached to the laptop but Adobe photoshop 19 will not fit to this. It is too large pls see image attached. Has anyone any ideas on how I can get this working please? Many thanks John

I have been told by tech support that my Elements 2020 is no longer supprted, and that is why I cannot open the .dng RAW files from my Samsun S24. He suggested I post here and ask if trhere is another way that I can obtain the plug-in I need. Does anyone know?

ok yes I am using old software ( photoshop elements 6) but i use it for scrapbooking so it works great for what i need.  my  qestion is how do I transfer it to my new computer.  I have a cd  if that helps.  It still works great on my old desk top so if need be I will make that computer a dedicated scrapbooking and not worry about transferring it.  I still have the serial number but it says that it is already in use??

I run a Win 11 PC and all worked fine until recently. My work flow is Bridge>Camera Raw> Elements 24. Now it works only with JPG files. and it bypasses as normal Camera RAW.When opening RAW files (.RAF) Camera RAW does not open and Bridge hangs.  I need to close down Bridge to get out again. I have updated Bridge to 14.1.0 but no change and also tried the Beta version in Creative Cloud. Help please!Harald

I'm an indie author trying to do my own ebook cover for a sequel to my first legal thriller titled The Perfect Lawyer.  I'm trying to get the cover to have the same basic color scheme (soft brown toward the center, darker brown, perhaps with the vignette tool, toward the edges) as the first cover in order to get a branding effect from Book One (The Perfect Lawyer) to Book Two (The Perfect Prosecutor). And I cannot replicate the color in Book Two because I used one of the "Smart brush"  "special effects" butons in Book One, and it did not do the same coloring on the new image.  I did a Sepia tint and it's better than nothing, but it could still be so much better. The color I'm looking for is where the red dot is in the image of The Perfect Lawyer. (hex code c1a073) I've done The Enhance>Adjust color>New Adjustment Layer>Hue saturation and then checked the "colorize" box with c1a073 and it it's just like a really weak lazy beige. I'm trying to use Elements Organizer 2024.  Using the Tree structure view, I have always been able to expand and collapse folders.  Now, with 2024, the (+) sign no longer will expand and I need to right click and choose expand.  Once the folder is expanded, it can't be collapsed....apparently, ever.  No drop down choice to collapse, the (+) expanse link doesn't change to a (-), I have restarted the program, restarted the computer....  I have expanded folders from months ago than don't collapse.  Is there a setting someplace I'm missing, to enable this? Finding myself a bit frustrated.Because of these issues, I am still using 2022 Organizer, since 2024 is essentually useless in it's current situation.  Wouldn't mind using the updated software, so thought I'd see if anyone has seen this issue and discovered a solution.  I was not able to find a solution in my searching of past posts. Using Mac laptop with M1 chip and all the OS and file update
