Photoshop Elements

Elements 13 has stopped working on this Windows 10 machine.  It was working fine, and no big changes to the environment are taking place except the normal Windows 10 updates.  Now, Elements 13 will not initialize.  I get the initiallization screen, and that screen proceeds as far as "scanning for plug-ins", then the screen disappears and that's it.  No error messages.  Nothing.  I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the software from my original load files, and the result is the same.  Is there any solution to this?Thanks, JS

I have tried to load PS Elements on my new laptop and have not been able to.  When I enter my serial number, it tells me that the number is invalid.  I bought the software from Adobe! I have chatted with the help desk and they have not been able to help me. I am told that indeed my software is loaded on only one machine but has been activated 6 times and that maybe why it will not let me load it on another machine.  Why would I activate the software 6 times on the same device? So the help desk has punted and told me to ask the eperts for help - this is what I am doing. Thanks

Photoshop Elements 13 won't run on my new computer.  I want to sell my old computer and transfer the rights to Photoshop to the new owner.  How do I transfer those rights?

Hello,I have searched Google and this forum but I have been unable to find anyone with the same problem I'm having with Photoshop Elements 2019.I have installed it on an HP EliteBook 820 G3 with Windows 10 for one of our users and I believe this laptop is powerful enough to run the software and I installed it as an administrator. I can open the software and the splash page with the links to Organiser, Photoshop and Premiere runs, but when I run either Organiser or Photoshop it freezes almost immediately and I have to end task in Task Manager. The only way I have found to use ANY part of the software is to use the import wizard and then cancel it. After this, the Organiser is usable.Throughout this behaviour there are no error messages on the screen or events in the Event Viewer. Upgrading the graphics driver has had no effect, so without information as to what's going wrong I'm reaching a dead-end.Any ideas what to do? Are there any log files that could store reasons for the program to

Good Evening All, I have all of my photo and video files (about 1.7 TB total) on a 5 TB external Seagate drive, mainly because my laptop's harddrive is only 512 GB in size. I would like to backup the catalog, but I was wondering how best to do that. My plan is to backup just the catalog to a second, external drive (2 TB). The photos and videos will continue to be located on the 5 TB external drive. Is such a catalog only backup sufficent to restore the catalog with all tags intact while using the original photos and videos on the 5 GB external drive? Will the photos and videos remain connected in the catalog? Thanks. Jon

I am new to pse19, having used pse10 since ???. I purchased a new windows 10 laptop  and had all my data, pictures, documents etc moved from my old windows 7 machine to the new animal. I tried to create a new folder in my Pictures file (right clicked on Pictures, selected 'new folder' and pressed the Enter key) but no folder appeared - anywhere. I finally found it using Explorer - it was under Pictures but does not show when using pse19.  Any ideas?

Hello, I am able to install Photoshop Elements, but when I try to open the Editor, I get this error: Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application. Therefore, I am unable to get to the page where you enter your serial number. I tried downloading the 2021 version instead and had no issue. I tried this on both my Mac and PC, which are up to date. I also did this on several browsers (IE, Chrome, Safari) with cleared cookies/cache/history. I worked with customer support for 1.5 hours with no avail. The AAM update link does not work for me, though other links on the page do. Additionally, the 2019 Photoshop Elements page reroutes you to the 2021 version. (adobe.com/gr_en/downloads/other-downloads.html) I am wondering if the 2019 version is no longer compatible, given these issues and the fact that I had no problem reaching the serial number page for the 2021 version. I would appreciate assistance in resolving this issue or getting my subs

I've been using PSE 2018 on a pc with Windows 10 for years.  After a few months hiatus I loaded some new photos and it won't consistently identify faces with circles that are clear in a photo.  What gives?

As janelas de Libraries e Color Themes não abrem, no caso do Color Themes afirma que o produto não faz mais parte do Adobe...Na semana passada, a biblioteca estava ok, pois salvei o estudo de paleta de cores, porém quando solicito, aparece as janelas com avisos (anexei print)Existe dentro do programa substituição para esses ítens que citei acima?Alguém pode me ajudar, por favor?

Adobe Creative Cloud has gone through the motions of downloading and installing the Camera Raw 13.4 update, but the Photo Editor continues to use version 13.0. I've restarted the computer, but the Photo Editor is still using version 13.0. Where is the update?

Can anyone tell me how to stop the crop tool thinking it knows better than me. It never gets it right. It constantly changes the aspect ratio without me asking it to. I just want it to do what I tell it.

Just purchased PSE 2021 and Photo Editor will not open.

I'm doing extracting a lot. Meaning cutting people out of picture and placing to new background. Especially hair is complicated to extract and needs special tools. Pen tool, Quick selection, Refine edges, Polygonal lasso and what else... Does Elements have all these? I don't want to pay monthly for subscription of Full PS version. Elements would do just fine as long as I get all the necessary tools.

Hello, for an eyetracking experiment, I would like to determine the luminance value/brightness of different digital pictures and equalize these values. Does this function exist in Photoshop Elements and if yes, how does it work? Is it also possible to determine the luminance value/brightness of a video?Thank you very much in advance,Katharina

Hallo, ich besitze seit wenigen Wochen die Pentax K-3 Mark III, aber ich kann die mit der neuen Kamera aufgenommenen PEF-Dateien (RAW) nicht in Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 öffnen. Ich finde auch kein Update übers Menü. In Version 2020 habe ich es noch nicht probiert, aber ich vermute dasselbe Problem.Frage: Wird es dieses bald geben?Danke.

Previous versions seemed to allow a bypass of the "welcome" screen that the three choices and lots of proposed tutorials.    I would like to go directly to Expert upon start up and can't seem to find the settings in the Help tab that used to do that change over.   Thanks. 

I recently bought a new LG Gram laptop (Windows 10) and installed my paid, CD version of Photoshop Elements 2018.  It seems to install okay, but when I try to open the program I get the following error message:  The program can't start because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled PSE 2018 from both my CD and my downloaded version of the software and I get the same error message.  FYI -- PSE 2018 works fine on my older (2018) HP laptop (also Windows 10), but not the new one. What could be wrong?  How do I fix this.  Thanks.

Photo Editor window opens in the middle of the main monitor (Mac)Cannot be moved around the screen or to a 2nd monitor.

I have a folder in the Organizer with 24 pictures in it and it works fine. However, if I go to the same folder using Windows 10 File Explorer and open the folder, the thumbnails come up for a few seconds and then the folder snaps closed. I copied the folder in Explorer and put the copy on another partition of the drive and the same behavior is repeated. So it seems as though something is screwy with one of the files in the folder which causes the folder to close almost immediately. Any thoughts of what could be going on?

With a recent purchase/installation of Photoshop Elements 2021 all is well... until I select PRINT. As soon as I press PRINT the app shuts down completely. No alert, no warning. Boom, closed. Hello. I don't seem able to run PSE17 on my new macbook. OS: BigSur 11.6 Any tips?

My hard drive failed recently. I thought I had adequately prepared for this by maintaining backups to my NAS, but apparently not. I used the NAS' own backup software, but now I've discovered from reading this forum that restoring from the NAS to a new HDD won't work because the HDD will have a different serial number (*sigh*). I think I have a solution, but it involves quite a lot of work so I'd like to solicit some expert advice first.My "old" computer had a small SSD cache and a large HDD. The HDD was the (C:) drive and it was the SSD that failed. My rebuilt computer has a larger SSD for the Windows operating system and a very large SSD for data. The OS has to be on (C:) and the data SSD is currently (E:).Here's my plan: the original HDD (C:) still works, so I'm going to reformat it, put it into a spare PC, and install Windows on it. I will then copy "Pictures" and the PSE files to it from my NAS. I will then open the PSE catalog on this spare PC from PSE which is installed on my reb
