Photoshop Elements

Sign in required every time program is launched - Photoshop Elements 15.  Searched forum and looks like problem has still not been resolved.

I can only print a photo in the centre of the paper with the printing dialogbox. It is not possible to place the picture somewhere else on the paper. I use an IMac with BigSur/ 

Can PSE 2021 open Canon HCT files?  I am using PSE on a Surface Pro and have instlled the Windows HEIT  and HEVC codec app.  

PSE Organizer has a command to do this.1. Is there a list somewhere of what metadata files PSE will actually write to?  i.e. a 'map' of the name PSE uses to the metadata field full name (exif, iptc, xmp, ...)?2. Does it only write metadata files for which it has data in the catalog, or does it 'make up' data (e.g. date/time) for some/all metadata fields?3. Can one select what is to be written? (I assume not)4. Why would I NOT want to write metadata to the files?  e.g. people/keyword tags, rating?Is the concern of someone else getting access to the files and being able to see the metadata? thanks, -ceej

je veux imprimer une Photo 12X8cm sur un papier-photo A4. Pour ce faire il faut décocher "centrer l'image" puis on devrait pouvoir la déplacer comme on veut avec la souris (ou en changeant les distances des bords du support). Or ce déplacement ne se fait pas comme il faut: avec la souris on peut déplacer l'image dans le cadre bleu, mais ce cadre ne se déplace pas et l'image se cache derrière. Avec Photoshop Elements 12 ce déplacement se faisait sans aucun problème et je me demande pourquoi j'ai fait payé l'upgrade à l'édition 2021. J'ai aussi eu plusieurs crash du système avec la noluvelle édition 2021. Comment résoudre ce problème?? Adobese concentre appramment sur le nouveau programme PhotoShop et n'offr aucun update pour mon programme.Qui peut m'aider??? 

I am trying to enter file information in Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 and am getting the error message: "Could not complete the file information command because the metadata library could not be loaded". How do I fix this?

J'ai bien desactivé le logiciel sur le PC précédent.Lorsque j'ouvre Photoshop Elements, on me demande de me connecter à mon compte. Après connexion, on m'indique que mon numéro de série n'est pas correct. J'ai vérifié plusieurs fois. Il s'agit bien de celui indiqué dans mon compte Adobe. De plus, j'ai tout desinstallé et repris une installation complète sans succès.Merci d'avance pour votre aide.

I just upgraded to PSE 2021 from PSE 2019 .  There was a post re this problem with PSE 2019 and one of the replies said it might be available with the next upgrade.  What gives 2 updates:PSE 2020 and now PSE 2021 and you still can't open Canon's latest Raw file CR3.  Is this for real?  I was unable to get anyone using the Adobe "Chat" support to answer my question.BTW:  I know I can use the DNG converter but I don't want to destroy the CR3 as it seems to have a lot of functionality not available in Adobe Camera Raw.  I also know about the Canon Raw software but geeezz!   The PSE2021 install shows I have the Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw version 13.0.0.612.  There is a version 13.4.  Will this work with CR3.I don't really have much experience updating "Plug-ins" so I'd like to know if it will solve the CR3 problem before I invest a day or more trying to do the upgrade.  It's taking me 2+ days just trying to get Organizer working.&

Hello! I have no experience with PSE 2021, or anything like it, and yet here I am trying to make a gift for someone by using it! I am working on pics of a white dog sitting in a sunbeam on an off-white sofa, and the same dog sitting on a box with magic marker writing and labels on it. I've tried numerous tutorial techniques to create a transparent background, and they all work to varying degrees, but in every image there always remains parts around the finished product which are dark smudges. Adjusting contrast using curves doesn't work at all due to lack of contrast on the original. I can't seem to get those cleaned up. The most recent technique I'm trying to use is: Select Subject, Select Lasso Tool to Add & Subtract from Selection, Refine Edges - "Paint" around image to mask background, adjust feather, contrast... Parts of every pic where there is heavy shadow, bright sun, subject & background close in color, reflective tape, dark writing, tile grout lines remain as lines an

Hallo Community,ich habe mir PhotoshopElements im Jahresabo gekauft und kann es allerdings nur auf dem iPad bzw. iPhone installieren. Auf dem MacBook gehts nicht. Wenn ich in die Aboverwaltung gehe heißt es, ich kann die Desktop-Applikation downloaden. Wenn ich aber draufklicke, dann wird nur noch die CreativeCloud angeboten.Wie bekomme ich Elements auf mein MacBook? Muss ich es dafür explizit kaufen? Kann mir hier jemand weiterhelfen? Danke und Grüße

I have a copy of Photoshop Elements 2019 with 80,000+ photos. I have purchased and installed Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 2021 but the install has not picked up my 2019 events. It seems to have picked up faces that I have previously named. It also magically has found lots of new photos and wants to import them, which is strange as 2019 has not done this. What have I done wrong? Is there are correct procedure to follow to do this upgrade from 2019 to 2021?

Since updating my MacBook to BigSur I'm no longer able to use Photoshop/Elements. "The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information". Are Adobe doing anything about this? Becuase until they do, I'm dead in the water.

Can someone please recommend the cheapest available laptop compatible with PS elements 2021 in UK  

I am using Photoshop Elements 2021.  I am running a plugin called Elements + (found here http://elementsplus.net) that gives Elements much of the functionality that is in regular Photoshop.  I am trying to run a jsx script file to apply effects to a photo.  Elements + has allowed me to load the script and run it.  However, when the script runs, I receive an error message.  Here is the error message:  “Error general Photoshop error occurred.  This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop. – The command “set” is not currently available number: -25920; line 1683”.  How do I resolve this issue?  What does the “set” command do?  I don’t know if I need to edit the script and don’t know how to do that if I do need to.  Also, it is possible that the script won’t be compatible (as it was designed for Photoshop).  I will be more than glad to provide any additional information that is needed to troubleshoot this.&n

In Photoshop Element Organizer v15 I launched the recognition of faces.Overall it works well.But some labels appear grayed out unless I understand why.Several cases:-In 'All people' the face is displayed and the name is written below.Yet when I click on the label, in the section "Faces confirmed", some labels are grayed out.This is surprising since these face are confirmed (recognized)and that by landing on a gray label the corresponding photo (with the right face).-In 'All people' label is gray with the name written below.When I click on the gray label, all labels "Faces confirmed" are grayed out.And when I ask myself on a gray label, the corresponding photo appears (with the right face).= What is the problem?- And how to fix it so that all the labels display correctly?Thanks for your helpAlain

how do i make a transparent background in Photoshop Elements 13

I am having difficulties following the instructions of various authors for the making of digital negatives for alternative photographic processes (e.g. Peter Mrhar) with only Photoshop Elements - when it comes to Curves, etc. Would anyone have succeeded with this?  If I suspect not, then I fear I shall have to invest in one or other versions of the full Photoshop.  I would then have to decide which version of Photoshop to go for and buy.  I have an older iMac computer (mid-2010) with OS X El Capitan (10.11.6). The options seem to be a CS6 outright purchase on Ebay, or the latest monthly subscription version, but both alternatives seem to involve incompatibility problems with my present setup as well as certain risks and considerations of expense.Any help in resolving the dilemma will be greatly appreciated.  (Especially from anyone with experience of platinum printing). Since installation, the Editor has been slow to launch, takes about 1/2 minute. I have faster load with organizer, Premier Elements. Also sluggish program response. Program installed on SSD. Now I need the Editor, and slow to respond all around. Have seen posts re: plug in problems older versions, Advice appreciated.

Hi,I just moved an installation of Elements 9 (Yes I know it's old) to a new computer and the user is reporting that her cursor appears as Three Horizontal Lines when using a majority of the tools, not all.  Have any of you noticed this before or have any guesses as to why it's happening?  

I want to migrate from Photoshop Elments 21 on a Windows PC to Lightroom Classic on an Intel Mac (Big Sur).  What would you recommend first:  Switching to Lightroom on the PC and then migrating the files to Lightroom on the Mac, OR migrating the files to Elements on the Mac and then switch to Lightroom on that Mac?

I've been told that I need to resize a photo for an Etsy listing. I need 2000px and also 1MB in size. Most photos at 2000px are about 3.2MB. How do I make this happen?

Can you make the interface in PS Elements 2021 look like it does in Creative Cloud?

I'm not sure this is a PSE problem, but I'm posting it here anyway. The type that is in the project is printing out in open face rather than solid black although the image (all black) is printing fine. I have had a problem with my Epson XP-630 in that the Photo Black is not showing up when I do a nozzle check even after cleaning. All the other cartridges print out fine in the nozzle check. In order to get around having to print in RGB, I changed the mode to grayscale in order to not use the Photo Black. I guess I didn't do something right. Can Anyone help me with this problem? Thanks, John UtterMacBook Pro Running OS 10.11.6
