Photoshop Elements

I am scrapbooking and it seems that when I drag and drop elements into screen that it creates a new layer smack in the middle of my layers panel.  Is there a way to change the default or fix it so when I add new layers they go on top?  I am NOT adding the layer when I am placed in the middle of the panel, but my last layer was the one at the very top of the panel.  They are still going below and I have to physcially move each one for it to be the top layer or on the top of the previous one.

Thanks to the AMD SCSI update in a Windows update pushed by Microsoft in early May (2021), I have had to rebuild my computer. This has included re-installing my old PSE 9. The version of PSE 9 that I have on CD then requires updates to install 9.0.3 and ACR 6.5. ACR 6.5 is newest version of ACR that will work with PSE 9, and I need it to read and process the NEF files from my Nikon D7000 (yes, I know - more old stuff). Even though Adobe no longer supports PSE 9 and does not seem to have either update available, I managed to find a 9.0.3 updater and it is successfully installed. I have not met with the same success for ACR 6.5. Several approaches that appear here in the Adobe Support Community have lead me to pages that no longer exist. This isn't too surprising, I suppose, given the age of ACR 6.5. Is there still a functioning ACR 6.5 updater out there, or do I have to give up and get a newer version of PSE (and then hope my catalogs convert)? I am not interested in converting 40,000 N

For the hour long download that was far too large for what little the program had to offer. The spyware. And now the spamming of my email. It was a beast to un-install at 55 MG and it is everywhere. Hi there,Is there a way to increase the visibility of the circle of the spot healing brush? In both color and black and white images, the thin outline of the circle is only visible sometimes, depending on the colors/shades within the photo. I'm on an imac with OS Catalina, using Elements 2021.Thanks for any suggestions,

PSE 2019.  So. . . I uninstalled PSE 2019 and reinstalled it.  No luck.  I uninstalled it again and then deleted all references anywhere on my computer - that I could find - to PSE 19.  No luck. I then got on LiveChat, where the rep told me to do the same things that I had already done.  Very unhelpful. So, Community, how do I get rid of the nag window that tells me I have xx number of days left to my trial and would I like to purchase it.  As noted, I own it, but Adobe doesn't think so.  I guess I could purchase the latest version, but at this point it's a matter or principle.  I want to get rid of that nag window. Anyone?

We use within the  ETLA contract for companies the Adobe Photoshop Elements, which we activated with the Adobe Creative Cloud Packager, have packaged and distributed. We also package and distribute the updates in this way. Only since the last update have users been asked to log in via Adobe ID. The Users use the software offline, and the software is already activated. Why does this login mask come with Adobe Id?And How can I deactivate the login mask?

After a panorama photo was created from 6 photos in PhotoShop Elements 9,  I checked a message to automatically fill up the borders of the panorama image . Then a message appeared:"Could not fill up because there is not enough memory (RAM)"In my Windows 10 PC there is 16 Gb installed. Under Edit-Prefences -Performance- Speed- Memory Usage of PSE 9,I saw that the Memory Slider was fully set to the right side and showed a maximum possible RAM of 3255 Mb.I relaunched PSE 9 and made the same panoramaphoto.Again "Could not fill up because there is not enough memory (RAM)".Then I let do the same job , same photos byPhotoShop Elements 2020.This program came with a Script Alert "Some photos cannot be aligned".Result: No Panoramaphoto.PSE 9 has the best credentials. How can I free up more memory for PSE9?Any idea?

I've been running PE 2018 for a while now and then it suddenly wouldn't recognise my .orf olympus files and wanted an update which I reluctantly paid for.all was well for a while, now it wants me to sign in to continue to use it.Is there a way to use this in such a way as it never logs onto anywhere?I'm not interested in and don't want any cloud based use, nor to network.I want to use as a stand alone program with no outside interface or interference.Help is much appreciated thanksRichard

When I edit a photo in PSE 2020 and the attempt to save the edited photo, I get the error message "IAC Operation Failed". The photo remains locked in EDIT mode. Any help would be appreciated.

Hallo zusammen,nachdem ich massive probleme mit meinem alten PC hatte und Elements einige male neu installieren musste geht jetzt nichts mehr. Ich wollte meine gekaufte Lizenz auf meinem neuen PC installieren und bekomme die Meldung, das das nicht mehr geht. Ich suche und suche und suche, finde aber keine Möglichkeit, meinen alten PC von der Lizenz zu entbinden. Der alte PC exitiert nicht mehr. Was nun? Im Forum habe ich einen User gefunden, welcher dieselben Probleme hatte. Es hat sich dann auch ein Mitarbeiter von Adobe darauf gemeldet. Die Antwort war "Klicken Sie auf den Link für unseren Support". Bravo 😞Klickt man darauf, kommt mann auf die Support Webseite und weis dann gar nicht mehr was man machen soll. Tolle Software aber grottenschlechter Support! Das geht bei CaptureOne bedeutend besser. Die melden sich für einen kleinen Privatuser sogar am Sonntag. Ich bin echt sauer aber so ist das wohl wenn man nur ein kleiner Privatuser ist.

Hallo,ich brauch Hilfe, bei der Nutzung von PE2021 wird der Bildschirm immer wieder kurz schwarz.Treiberupdate Grafikkarte gibt keine Besserung. Hardware ist vollfunktionsfähig und kompatibel!Hat jemand eine Lösung?

Ich habe eine Sonycamere welche das ARW Bildformat hat. Wenn ich diese im Photoshop Elements öffnen will, bkomme ich die Meldung dass, das Plugin für ARW fehlt und ich updaten soll. Das geht aber nicht, Das Menu update im Hilfemenue ist hell hinterlegtt, lässt sich also nicht anklicken. Ich bin in Adobe angemeldet und meine legal erworbene Seriennummer eingegeben. Was kann ich tun?? Danke für IdeenLies

when I view help-about photoshop elements-version I am told I have version 19.0, however, the update feature is grayed out.  I recently upgraded from elements 2015 to elements 2021.  Any guidance woudl be appreciated.

I have Photoshop Elements 13.1. I have created an album and dragged six photos into the album from the Media display of all of my photos. How do I hide them in the Media display without losing them from the album?

Hi, I have the latest 2020 Elements build, but I cannot open Olympus ORF files from my EM1 III?

I have Elements 2021. I am having a terrible time figuring out how to create a new folder so I can move some images from an existing folder into a new folder. Can anyone help?

I am using PSE 2021 on windows 10.  Periodically the thumbnail in the layers panel just shows the checked pattern rather than the items I have in that layer.  What can I do to prevent that from happening?  I didn't have this problem before.

I recently upgraded from elements 2015 to elements 2021.  I can no longer drag photos into albums??Any guidance would be appreciated. 

I am struggling with Metadata and IPTC information in Photoshop Elements 19.For example, I have a photo of “Walter, Mary and Emma in the New Forest 23 March 1935”.  The bit in inverted commas is included as a caption and the following categories and/or keywords have been tagged: 1935, New Forest, Walter.The photo is a scan of the original.  The date/time created and digistised is the time of the scan.  I have used the Adjust Date/Time feature within Elements so that it appears in the correct place in the timeline.However, when I add “Metadata to file” the date and time of the photo is changed to the date I added the metadata.  When I look at the info attached to the photo in “Finder” on the computer the date of the picture is incorrect, but all other information is correct.To try and get the full date shown correctly I tried adding IPTC information using the full date as a keyword, but this seems to delete the original photo and insert a duplicate into Elements.I ha

Adobe Photoshop Elements 202 / Win10 - zur Zeit dauert der Zugriff auf mein Drucker mehrere Minuten. Das ist nur PhEl202 so, andere Druckaufträge gehen zügig. Welche Einstellung ( Programm oder System )  hat sich verändert?Drucker ist Canon MG8150

Just recently my copy of Elements 18 does not close down properly so much so that I have to close it down via the Task Manager. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it but this makes no difference. I wonder if anyone out there is having the same problem and if so have they found or could they suggest a solution?
