Premiere (Beta)

Hi Adobe Team,For instances where the Program and Source windows are grouped in the same panel, can you please make the Source Window active automatically, the same way it does for the regular timeline and Program window? Please see the attached video. Pr Pro version : 25.2.0 BETA (Build 21) I find the actual behavior a distraction and time-consuming one. It's an additional click or shortcut command to activate the source window, and when assembling stuff, I switch between the source timeline and the edit timeline A LOT. Definitely, this would be a time-saving behavior! Thank you! Lately I really appreciate the fact that the markers from the Source Timeline are now showing in the Markers window - which it was not before. Please keep making editing smoother.Laurent

Forum user reported issue re 23.2: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/several-problems-with-text-window-associated-with-captions-subtitles/idi-p/14156734   I don't recall anyone else reporting this.   Steps to reproduce:1 - Create captions (I used speech to text) 2 - Undock Text Panel 3 - Close Text Panel 4 - Double-click caption, which opens Text Panel, undocked Result: Briefly see empty Text Panel and crashes, sometimes with option to submit report. For Beta, freezes computer for half a minute, empty, undocked UXP panel is visible, then prompts to attach debugger, when close that message, instant crash. Expected: Text panel would open and be populated. System info    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v24.1.0.49    OS: Windows v10.0.19045, RAM: 63.80 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 16

Ryzen 3960X 24 core, 128GB of Ram, 2080Ti/11GB; OS/programs on one Nvme drive, all cache files on the second Nvme. All media and projects on internal SSDs.  Media is 1920x1080 AVC-Intra from a Panny GH3 in mov. Not long-GOP. Adding ONE Lumetri effect to the clip causes the bar to go into red and stutter to occur. I've never had stutter with this simple media before (even on my laptop!) with mutliple Lumetri effects applied to a clip. So this was surprising. This is a test sequence that always plays like butter.

As I am using the Premire Pro Beta version, I'm doing text based editing and sometimes it stops playing the audio from the videos saying "audio was not found" but if I pause and start again the audios plays just fine. It has happened multiple times, either one after the other. Or even on different projects. 

Every audio effect, whether it be native or VST, has no name in the Effect Controls panel (when added to a clip) or in the Audio Track Mixer panel (when added to an effects slot). The only place you can see the names of audio effects is in the Effects panel, which only serves to apply an effect to a clip. On the other hand, applying an effect to a track in the Audio Track Mixer panel is impossible, as the effect names in the Effect Selection menus are also missing. Even the most basic audio clip properties have no names in the Effect Controls panel (Volume, Channel Volume, Panner). See attached screenshots. Cheers.

Hi there, I don't think that the problem is 100% fixed as you see in the pictures!   The issue exist only if the enhance dialog is enable! The waveform sometime desapear , sometimes is "pixeled" , regarding of the zoom level of the timeline. Windows scaling is 100%. 

Hello, i have a huge bug in Premiere Pro beta, when I try to select my media from source, I hit play it works and then when I put a mark in point of a certain part of the video playback is not working anymore in source monitor but if I drag it in timeline it works. The app is updated, I tried restarting the app, restarting the laptop but the issue is still there and it's a huge draw back in my working flow. What can I do?

Build 19 / W11 24H2 Nsd 566.14 UI flashing when hitting play/stop.  

Every time I hit play on my timeline the video and audio glitch, jumping around and eventually level out. At times I'm not even able to hit play. Nothing happens and playback simply doesnt work. I am able to click around in the program but playback does not work at all. I'm having a problem with the "Enhance Speech" feature in Adobe Premiere Pro 2025. Even though it says the effect is applied, there’s no noticeable difference in audio quality. What’s strange is that my colleagues are using the same feature on the same video files and getting a significant improvement in their audio. When I try the Adobe Podcast web version, it also produces a much better result compared to Premiere Pro.I’m currently using Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 on a MacBook Pro 2020 with a 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 processor and macOS Sequoia 15.1. I even tested the 2024 version of Premiere, but still, no luck. Here’s what happens: I open a project, apply the Enhance Speech feature to the audio, but the quality doesn’t improve at all. Hi, I'm requesting help with troubleshooting an issue I'm having with the captions section and the properties panel. I'm using Premiere Pro version 25.2.0 (build 😎. After importing captions, the properties panel in the caption section is unresponsive. It's completely dead.I can't click on anything, import anything, or create a new caption style.I would really appreciate any information on what to do. Hi,I'm having almost constant crashing with Premiere 25.0.0 Build 25 (and I think 23 and 24). I'm on a mac (Apple M2 Ultra 64gb ram, sonoma 14.6.1). At this point, I think it's just one project, but I'm working under a deadline, so I really need it to start behaving. - It's all across several different sequences- Tried turning on and off assets and effects- Tried copying assets into a fresh sequence- Restarted- Ran updates- Created proxies and tried with those- rendered audio into fresh files- created brand new project and copy/pasted into that Assets in the project:- video from Canon R5C- video from iPhone- music from universalproductionmusic- images from adobe stock images 

Projects window: highlight in list view could use a few tints brighter. Why not make it the same color as in the Text panel used for Graphics?

Being able to import MKV and VP9 videos into Premiere would save me more than an hour per day that I have to spend converting the videos first.  It owuld also save me space to not have 2 versions of a video on my hard drives.  Today I am spending at least 3 hours converting videos, and perhaps that is all I will actually get done today, as it may end up taking the whole day trying to get ahead so i dont have to wait tomorrow and the coming days.   Thank you for considering this. J-TIZZO

Not sure if anyone else has had this issue with the lastest version of beta? Can't use properties tab even when re-starting application.

Ducking "Generate Keyframs" is not working. Despite selecting and taggin individual clips for ducking this is not generating.

Hi!All of a sudden, when I go to transcribe my sequence, the only option is to transcribe the entire source clip. I'm just taking snippets of interviews and adding captions for social media. These can be hour long interviews, and I'm just trying to get the 1-2 minutes I've outlined in my sequence. Anyone have any ideas here?

The video in the source panel video SOMETIMES freezes on a frame (audio keeps running) after updating today to 25.20 BETA (Build 14). Does not seem connected to clip size. Bug 1: The font always changes and does not stick to the last one I've used in a text edit, something that may help finding what the problem is: The font that it always rolls back to is the same font I use in a mogrt I use with frequency; Bug 2: The preview simply doesn't show anything on the last build (v25.2.0.015), just black and when I try to expand the program monitor window it just glitches and repeats a certain part of the Interface infinite times wherever I expand the program monitor window to Bug 3: The audio track mixer effects will show as blank on the 25.2 builds, I'm pretty sure it has been like that for all the released builds under 25.2 I downgraded to 25.1 (Build 63) and the preview is working perfectly fine, I still can't tell if I'm going to get the Direct2D DrawBot error, which is the reason I am using premiere beta in the first place, since I was getting way too many UI freezes on Premiere 2025 25.0 but at least the preview is working System info

I have been experiencing these 2 problems for a few weeks now, so I assumed everyone was, but since they are not fixed I figured I should report them. Whenever I click anything in the timeline I get a stack overrun error.  It doesnt cause any issue other than being in the way of resizing the timeline, which is annoying enough. When I click the export tab, nothing happens.  I get the generic "offline media will encode..." message, but it never goes to the export screen.  The simple work around is just to click file - export - send to media encoder and adjust the settings there. Am I doing something wrong?  Or is everyone having these issues?  

Okay, I used Premiere Pro many years ago when my husband and I owned a video production company, so I'm not really new to the program, but I am new to this particular format. (We used it back when you had to buy the program on discs and install it on your hard drive! That's how long it's been!) So I'm rusty, but I'm getting to know this new, online format!  The issue I'm having right now seems SO BASIC that it almost seems silly to ask about it - I just can't see the video from my timeline playing in the Program monitor! Yesterday, I could see it but today I can't; it's just black. If I open the "Import" or "Export" window, then go back to the Editing view, then the Program window has the image from whatever window I opened in it. (See screenshot below)  I updated Premiere this morning, because the system said there was an update available, and I wonder if that's the issue? Or is there some simple setting that I'm missing?
