I saw that the latest beta has a new feature for creating a rough cut using the transcript. While at this early stage it seems a bit too clunky for my use case, I think the potential is there for a game-changer to workflow in the future. Current State: With the current state of the feature (from my understanding), you manually select text from the transcript which effectively adds in-out points around that text. Then, you drag the clip onto the timeline via the project panel for example. Idea: The software would use the transcript to predict "sections" of the same spoken text, such as a person doing a re-take of the same line multiple times. Then it could visually represent these sections in the timeline, and allow the user to choose which one to use or add to another sequence. Perhaps it could even take in a pre-made script and use that to better line up what sections go to what part of the final script. Example Use Case & Concept Image:For example, I usually h
I am surprised that Adobe has some languages included in Speech to Text (Transcribe) feature but not a major language which is used and spoken by over 350 million people which is Arabic? With so many Arabic production features now that are aired and uploaded to many online streaming services, it is CRITICAL that Adobe pays respect to it's users who work in Arabic content/film/TV series. I mean with all due respect to some languages who are only spoken by less than 10 million people and already are on the list, it is disrespectcful that Arabic language not included in Speech To Text feature. I wonder if it is bias from Adobe agaisnt the peoples in Africa and the Middle East. And this is a bad brand image to Adobe. Now that this request is as important as any new update, it is getting huge attention in the media and NLE users everywhere. So I hope that in the next update 23.1 Premiere Pro will have Arabic included in Speech to Text.
Hi there Just to bring some feedback to Speech to Text (transcript function) in Brazilian Portuguese. The features works good and helps a lot. But as I use a specific health vocabulary, would help a lot the option to create a specific glossary of words. Also, the language vices could be learned, so when the editor deletes many times, the word (or expression) don't show up again. Other thing is that the phrases are too sort. It would be helpful to have larger sentences, and more words available in the same caption (when the transcript is converted to subtitles). Besides that, I would like to thank you for this implementation (and for leting me try out new feature). I was just giving up of PR because the old way of subtitling was really annoying. Now it's getting really really nice. Tks a lot Best, Lucas Selbach [Moderator note: moved to appropriate forum for a beta program app/feature.]
Upon sharing changes in Premeire Pro to a team project, a dialogue box appears that gives the user the opportunity to write a comment for the other team members who will receive the shared edits. However, I can not find the comments that have been shared. How do team members see the comments left in the team project?
In Premiere Pro Beta version 23.1 build 40 or later, new enhancements for mask creation make it faster and easier to create detailed masks. In previous versions of Premiere Pro, it could be challenging to create detailed masks. The rotation tool could interfere with adding additional points that were close to existing points. Now, when creating a mask, the rotation tool is not active until the mask shape is closed. This eliminates situations where masks could be rotated unexpectedly. Tolerances have also been modified so that it is now much easier to create a series of points that are close to one another. Additional magnification (zoom) levels of 800 and 1600 percent are also now available in the Program Monitor. There is a separate forum post for that change -DISCUSS: Larger Magnification Factors in the Program and Source Monitors OLD BEHAVIOR NEW BEHAVIOR Please try out the new behaviors by creating detailed masks in
For the past few months of testing Speech to Text I have not seen an update to the functionality of exporting a transcript besides plain text exports. If you are in the transcription tab, you can export a text file which is a good bandaid for now. It formats paragraphs nicely, but no timecode or speaker labels. If you are in the captions tab and export a plain text file or SRT file, there is no paragraph formating, just the CC lines as they appear in the PGM monitor. Exporting a transcript in the transcription tab still gives you a file extention of .prtranscript that cannot be opened by any normal text editor. If I try to open the .prtranscript file with a text edit app, all I get is machine language which is not very helpful. If there is a specific app I should open this type of file extension in, pleae let me know, I'd love to use it. If this functionality is not finished, or users are supposed to apply other steps to get this to work, what needs to be done? Tes
The new beta build has a new option available in Keyboard shortcuts: Send Directly to Media Encoder And if you give that a keyboard short, with an active sequence in the timeline, you go DIRECTLY to Me without needing to use the "Export" page, and can then set your export name & presets & such "the old way". Thank you to the Team for this option ... Neil
Like to see some sort of grid in the Icon view. As of now, before selecting any asset, it is kind of hard 'reading' the panel. Name on the left and number of items on the right touching nearly the next name.
4 November 2022 At this time, grading any HDR content in Lumetri is difficult and frustrating. And I would really appreciate comments from @Francis-Crossman17221443 or any other staffers as to how this is realistically expected to work .As we all know, there are three "general areas" in SDR work: shadows, mids, highlights. But there are FOUR in HDR workflows: shadows, mids, highlights, and speculars. When the first attempt at allowing HDR work appeared in Premiere, Lumetri was given a fourth color wheel for speculars. That, in my testing, worked as expected. In fact, all of grading HDR worked as expected. But then that 4th wheel was removed, and since then, there is no way in Lumetri to check and set detailed highlights versus speculars. The only useful tool for this ... is the RGB Curves tool. Period. So, ok, with some fidgety work, you can work with the speculars brightness versus lower values mostly. If we try Basic White vs Highlights, that
What if I want to read them again. Some of them are not to be found under all changes.
I can no longer see the Start, End, and Duration of the clips in the timeline by hovering over the clip. Any ideas?
We now have PQ export as an option available for XAVC Intra and Long GOP in the export panel. This allows the XAVC Intra and Long GOP Source Clips having Rec. 2100 PQ color space to be exported in the same codec and color space. For XAVC-I, the previously used "Hybrid Log Gamma" checkbox is now replaced with "Export Color Space" dropdown having options to export in Rec. 709, Rec. 2100 HLG and Rec. 2100 PQ. For XAVC-L, "Rec. 2100 PQ" export color space option is now added to the "Export Color Space" dropdown along with Rec. 709 and Rec. 2100 HLG. We want to know what you think. Please join the conversation below.
I could not find one single request in the user voice for this Would have been happy if it said e.g. Corner Pin or 4 color gradient or ...

When assembling a Sequence using the new Transcript 'source' pane, I am expecting it to behave like Source AV pane:I love being able to highlight text while Premiere automatically creates in/out points. BUT when assembling a string of clips to the sequence using the '.' (overwrite) function, the clip is placed in the sequencebut the CTL does not advance ahead of the placed clip like it does doing the same thing from the AV Source Panel. Then when continuing from the Transcript Panel 'Source mode' and pressing space to play the source clip, sometimes it reverts to play the sequence instead. Are these intentional?
We have decided to take a slightly different approach and moved the conversation over here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-beta-discussions/discuss-timeline-tonemapping/m-p/13387919 We are excited to announce Tone Mapping in Premiere Pro Beta when using HDR clips in SDR sequences We are actively seeking feedback on this feature, to make it work for everyone! This feature will also see continuous development in the upcoming days, so please make sure you keep checking it in the new Beta releases. What is Tone Mapping and why do I need it? When you create a new sequence using your clips (SDR, HLG, PQ), Premiere pro automatically creates a sequence from the clip’s color space. Let’s say we create a sequence with an iPhone HDR Clip- the sequence’s Working Color Space is now set to Rec 2100 HLG. This is a great way to edit your HDR clips while keeping the full dynamic range and Rec. 2100 colors of the source. However, many of us want to create a
We have added Danish to the Transcription Panel in Premiere Pro Beta. Since I don't speak Danish I would love to know how well it is working for you. Please try some of your footage and let us know: What kind of content are you transcribing? (zoom call, promotional video, YouTube DIY tutorial, Netflix documentary...) Does it do better with certain dialects? If there are regional dialects that it doesn't handle as well, be specific about the names of the region, accent or dialect. How accurately does it transcribe numbers? (1984, February 1st) How accurately does it handle pop culture (movies, current events, famous people)? Will you use it in its current state?
PR Version 23.1.0mac OS Version 12.6Create transcription > Create captions > edit subtitles on the program panel(It would work for one and twice, then I can't edit)The subtitle should be able to edit both on the program panel and the text panel(Now only available on the text panel.)
So I work nearly totally in Productions, using a Production per year for my small mostly one-person operation. But how do you recommend migrating a Production forward? Last year I created a new Production, then manually created my main folder structure, then created new project files for all the projects I wanted to carry forward, and of course used MediaBrowser to import/ingest the previous Production's projects into the new one. Is that really the only main way to do this? @Bruce Bullis ... anyone? Neil
This feature is now shipping in the October 2022 release of Premiere Pro. Questions or comments about it should be posted to the main Premiere Pro forum: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/ct-p/ct-premiere-pro. ---------- Exporting Advanced Authoring Format (AAF) files is now available in beta for Premiere Pro customers using Apple silicon Macintoshes. Previously, customers had to launch Premiere Pro in Rosetta mode to export AAF files. We’re eager to get feedback on this change: the work we did to make AAF export work on Apple silicon also involved an update of our AAF support to a newer version of Avid’s format. Regards, Fergus
Now there are transforms for Canon, Sony, and Panny log formats in the Modify/Interpret Footage color management "Override" options. I'm curious as to how the transforms are working for the various cameras and formats? Any posts of experience would be very helpful! Neil

And hopefully not just for you.) We have added directional strokes to the Essential Graphics panel for titles, that means you can now choose between outer, inner and center strokes. Yay! We also refreshed the UI of the Appearance section of the Essential Graphics panel a bit The feature should hopefully just work as you expect, but here some details: The new default is outer strokes for both text and shapes Outer strokes grow from the edge of the shape/text outwards Outer strokes draw the stroke behind the fill Inner strokes grow from the edge of the shape/text inwards Inner strokes draw the stroke over the fill
1- we on PC2- connected to a 1,5 Peta Byte Server based storage with a 10 gig connection. We have lots of large projects. When opening them : we see that Adobe starts to relink those files. On many occasions, it gets stuck and there is still media pending and the performance is very bad. - Open Large project - alle media on a network server storage (samba) - Progress widows starts linking and gets stuck. 1/ Opening all bins is sometimes a trigger 2/ Changing workspaces is a trigger If not all media loaded all is slow and performance bad. But not seem to work always and opening a project takes 5-10 minutes is way too slow
