Hi! I'm using a fresh installation of Premiere Elements 2019 under Windows 10 Pro. I want to capture/make a video with my external webcam and mic (attached to my desktop computer). It seems to record both audio and video... but the capture screen does not display any preview screen -- just a black square. When I test it, stop capturing and play it back, it seems to be there (although it's out of sync at the moment).  Why won't the webcam images show up on the capture preview screen? Thanks!

I've got Adobe Premiere Elements 15 and I seem to have an issue with the mouse wheel. Before, I used to be able to scroll through the timeline horizontally whenever I'm editing a video. Now, whenever I try and edit a video the mouse wheel is scrolling vertically. Anyone know how I can adjust the mouse scrolling wheel?

I've been using Premiere Elements 2018 for the past two years and yesterday after I clicked on the program a box requiring me to sign in is in the way of me using the software. Why? I can't use the product I paid for because of what? I reluctantly sign in and agree to some "new terms and conditions" and then still can't use my program. Next, I'm asked if I want to start a free 30 day trial? If anyone knows what the deal is I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

Sometime as I'm editing, the preview of where a clip is placed on a timeline (when you click drag move a clip on a timeline, you can see a shadowy clip of where you want to move it) stops happening. What is that called and how do I turn it back on?

I need a good source of information to understand what happens to my video after I edit it in (now) PE 2020. My thinking says my AVCHD video is HD or Bluray equivlent. Now PE 2020 does not allow me to burn to bluray/AVCHD as my earlier version 2013 did. So this community says I can use a third party software to create the video in BR/AVCHD. IF I create the video in PE2020 it is saved to some form of DVD or MP4 so I can export to later burn it to a BR disk witht he aforementioned 3rd party software. Now I have to convert the MP4 back to BR/AVCHD to burn it. Have I not lost some of my original AVCHD quality and therefore not actually creating a unaltered copy of my original video. Basically I'm taking a AVCHD quailty video and dropping it into DVD quality format. Another way to ask it is can I save a bluray file to MP4 and back again without loss of any file detail (vid quality).I know it is rambling incoherent fodder but if there is not time for this here, perhaps someone has a good sou

Hello All:My wife used to have Premiere Elements on an old computer that created a number of .perl files that we can no longer open on a newer computer that no longer has Premiere Elements.  Is there a way to convert the .perl file to .mp4 without Premiere Elements?  Or is there another way to view the .perl file short of purchasing a new version of Premiere Elements?  Any information would be appreciated.  Thank you 

I upgraded to Windows 10 at the start of this year, Premiere Elements 11 had always worked fine prior to that. I can still "publish and share" slideshows/short dvds to Computer, but when I try to do so to DVD it Encodes to 100%, and then Burns to 99% before giving the message internal software error:%0,line%1All my other programs work and I can burn music/data/photos to disc using standard windows 10 options, so it would appear to be something between Elements and the DVD drive?I've made the project as small and uncomplex as possible to see if that helped, but even 4 photos with no menus or music gives the same result.Thanks.

Gerendert ist sie mit Cinema 4d r21. Ich habe einmal eine Spur mit der Wüste und der Explosion, und des weiteren eine Bildspurt mit einer Staubwolke und der dazu passenden Alpha maske. Ich weis jetzt nur nicht wie ich die Staubwolke mit der Alpha Maske modifizieren soll. Ich kann nicht beide Explosionen auf einmal Rendern. Das klappt vom Programm her nicht. Ich habe die Keying Funktionen schon ausprobiert, aber nichts gefunden, mit dem ich zufrieden bin. Is there a way to merge/combine multiple Premeire Elements projects (.prel) with clip edits and adjustments into a single Elements Project, retaining the clip editing & clip adjustments for future editing prior to finalizing and video output? Note! There is no option for file> importing; only 'open project' with Premiere Elements, with access only to one project at a time..

Hi, Recently, Premiere elements has stopped working on my Macbook. I have tried to open it several times and nothing happened. I then tried to uninstall and reinstall only to have the same issue. I can't even open it to finish reinstalling. Any advice would be appreciated!   Thanks! 

I have a new, speedy Dell desktop machine with 2 drives, my C drive is solid-state, the D drive isn't, but it's internal and it's fast.I have a huge home-movie project and 200 hours of digitized MiniDV tapes to work through. I'd like to set things up properly now in order to keep from having problems later on. Please advise me on where to point the various file types - scratch files, media files, cache files, .prel files, and so on?Should I keep everything on C? Or should I use D for audio files, or other specific files to optimize speed? Where should my .prel files go? Or doesn't it really matter? I appreciate any help very much!Thanks

Duting lockdown I am making weekly religious content for \youtube using material supplied by people using webcams and smartphones. I have been doing this without problems with Filmora 9 but have now switched to Premiere Elements 23 and when I loaded a webcam filmed clip onto the timeline it was out of sync. It was not out of sync when loaded onto iMovie or Filmora. What project settings should I be using? and why might that clip not work on Premiere |Elements?  (I am in the UK so am expecting to work on PAL at 30 fps/1080 16:9 ratio.)  Thank you in anticipation.

I'm having a lot of trouble downloading premiere, I bought the package with Photoshop and premiere, I downloaded and initialized it perfectly fine with the serial number (I don't have a dvd player in my computer) and now I am trying to download and initialize premiere, but every time I download it and get it all ready to put my serial number in, it says its not valid for the premiere elements 15 which I was not trying to download but I can't seem to do anything but. I just want to download the correct program or be able to use my serial number to get to the correct program. I bought it like a year ago and I haven't been able to use it. I need some help.

Hello, In Premiere Elements 18, I have a grid with several clips playing simultaneously. Then a new scene with a different grid and clips playing. Can I apply a transition effect to the entire screen instead of to each clip? Thanks!

I've seen many of the fonts shown in name in text and titles are not actually there. Only a series of squares or squiggles..... Do I have to download a service pack or something to get the fonts I need? I think the phenomena occurs in PE19 as well to some extent......

Hi,When I go to List View in Project Assets and try to drag and drop a file from one folder to another, the file actually does move, but the list view does not update, so the move appears to have failed.   However, if I go to Grid View, I can see that the file is moved.  Also, the left hand triangles don't work consistently in list view.  Sometimes they will open the folder, sometimes not.  Is there any way to fix this?  Are others having this problem?  Thanks.Zaffer

I record my daughter's volleyball games on a GoPro, and usually end up with 3-4 mp4 files per set when I pause the recording at timeouts. I've used Premiere elements 2018 to combine those files in to one project per set, deleted the audio, then split the timeline at the end of each point, deleted the stuff between points and closed the gap. Everything has worked well so far.Next, I'd like to save each point (there are 43 in the project I'm working on now) as an individual mp4 file. I figured I could right-click on the clip in the timeline and save it individually, but there's no option like that. If I choose clip from the right-click menu, there's a break apart option, but it's grayed out. How can I create those smaller files?
