Premiere Elements

I have a legal copy of Adobe Premiere Elements 4.  The software will not allow me to save a video to MPEG format.  It is asking me to visit http://www.adobe.com/go/encoderactivation to get an unlock key.  This URL gives a 404 Error code.  So, there is no way to enter my serial number to get the unlock code.  How can I get the unlock code?  Why is this required?  I asked Adobe Customer Care and was directed to this forum.

The map no longer displays in the Places view. Also, pinned photos do not show up. As expected, they do not show up in the unpinned view. They are marked with a location tag.Stefan

I have been using Elements 2018 Organizer for months now. As of yesterday when I click on the PLACES tab I get an Elements Organizer box that states that "map is not available at this point.How do I get Places to work again?

I am now getting an error message "Add Media Failure" when I try to use a .mov file from my iPhone7. Any thoughts?

Hi, I made a video in PE that I use as a closing for all my other PE videos.I must've hit a wrong setting somewhere because all of a sudden that PE video doesn't fit neatly when dropped into another PE video.  It is much narrower and doesn't fill the screen, such that I have to pull the corners to make it fill and then lose much of the content.  Where would I have 'resized' my videos?

I literally am unable to open this application after installing.I get the error on startup, "Incompatible display...update your display driver"There are multiple instances of GPUSniffer.exe running, and when I run it manually it opens an empty prompt and does not close.I am using an RX580 8GB model with driver version 18.10.1. I have also tried 18.11.1 with no success.EDIT: I have also tried with 18.9.3 and 18.12.1 with no change.I have tried disabling the driver, and starting the application, with no success.I do not have a BadDrivers.txt file to delete.I have reinstalled 4 times. I have renamed GPUSniffer so it cannot be found, and correctly named it back.The ONLY way I can get premiere to launch is by actively ending the GPUSniffer tasks as they spawn.Please help!

APE 2018 and .mov filesRunning Windows 10 and APE 2018.We shot a 28 minute TV show yesterday. It generated a .mov file, 26.5 gig. The show was recorded on a TriCaster.The file failed in APE 2018 generating audio and no video, just a green screen. I ran it in Quicktime and it played just fine. I tried it in APE 2014 and it ran just fine.Why is ADE 2018 not happy with .mov files?Thanks, Cheers! Phil

Hi,As a newbie with Premiere Elements 2019 in the UK, I think I am making a basic mistake and I would like to clarify if I am going wrong.I know that there is a lot of existing Adobe info out there, but I'm asking specifically because I want to avoid a mistake and need to be sure.I want to export a result for use in the UK.   I am UK based.Could someone please check my questions - relating to my Premiere Elements 2019 product EXPORTINGIf I produce a project, my understanding is that PRE2019 will automatically default the intial project to be a UK setting, being based automatically by PRE2019 on my UK location at program installation time.Therefore, I assume that if I do a simple export of a finished MP4 file (e.g. example.mp4) for either computer or TV use using the presets of this project,  then it will also be appropriate for the UK - but maybe not other regions such as the USA. In other words the export will work best on UK PAL systems and not NTSC. Is that correct?I

Cette apparition est de plus en plus fréquente. Sur un forum , j'ai lu qu'il est recommandé d'opter pour première éléments 2018 : y a-t-il une solution de dépannage ou l'option de Pr 2018 est inéluctable? payante ou au prix d'une remise à niveau?

Hello,I record a bunch of videos on my phone and when I upload them to adobe premiere elements the sound is always off by a few seconds. Whereas, in other programs the sound is in sync.

Just got Premiere Elements 19 along with Photoshop Elements. Years ago, worked with Premier Pro, but when Windows switched over to 10, I didn’t update it.I’d forgotten how still photos had to be resized. I’m working on a project with photos and some video coming in from a Samsung S9+. After the first disastrous attempt, I went back and searched through the forum and FAQs, focusing on adding still photos.I’ve tried Process Multiple Photos to 2000, 1090, 720 pixel size. Tried different saves as .JPG and .PSD. Tried different resolutions. I’ve tried changing the Preferences, Default to frame size and the Use Hardware Acceleration. The Project Settings are 1920 x 1080. Tried changing the Interpret Footage settings. I render each time I add the stills.The photos look fine in Photoshop, but with all the different attempts, when I add them to video, they are terrible. On the small viewing screen, they look okay. But if I go to full screen, they appear jagged and almost out of focus. Did a tes

cant get sound on a video project

I have a 4 second long clip and I need the text to fade in. But the issue is that the text takes far too long to fade in and I am unsure how to make it happen within the first .5 seconds of the clip.Also, anyone know how to add a border to text without changing the font?

I am using Premier Elements 2018 to create a slide show with photos & a few videos. I have down-rezzed the photos to 1000 x 700 (per Grisetti's recommendation in his book).When I add a few photos to the timeline, they all have letterboxes and the orange bar at the top. Letterbox & orange bar are signs of trouble. Can anyone suggest a path forward?Should I proceed & not anticipate problems? Maybe rendering will fix everything.Would it be good practice to manually set project preferences for this type of slideshow project?If yes what should the preferences be? Are there settings for photos? Everything I see if for video....Pat

Dear Forum,for many years I´ve used PE14 without any (big) problems. Since last week I have a new notebook (Dell XPS15) and installed the software and was looking forward to go on with my movie-projects on the new, faster PC. After opening the software I started editing some film clips, the the program crashed and were closed, without any error message! I completely do not know what can be the problem and hope for any support here in the forum!Thanks a lot in advance for recommendations,bestMichael

Does anybody know if Premiere Elements 14 works with Mojave? I am currently working with a iMac 2009 with El Capitan and it works just fine, but I wanted to know if I could update it and continue my work with Premiere Elements 14. I have too many projects here with PE14 and they don't work cross-version (eg. PE14 file in PE18). Hope somebody can help me. And thanks in advance

I tried to change the duration of a slide clip to about 7 seconds using Clip>Time Stretch.  As shown in the screen capture below taken from Project Assets it says I was successful (or changed to 7 hours?), but the actual duration is still about 4.5 seconds, which is apparently the default.

Hi I am in Uk but want to send DVD to friend in USA. However its a project I have already finished, so I seem unable to set Project preferences to NTSC. So I am thinking of making DVD in Create and Share as follows             Disc/DVD/SD480  30fps or        Disc/AVCND/HD 1920x1080 30 fps Will either on these work or do I have to set Project preferences to NTSC at start of project. If so I don't know how to get existing project into a new one without a lot of work, and I assume I loose menus etc.  ( Save As doesn't allow you to change preferences does it? ) Basically I am not sure what I am doing despite researching on Forums, books etc. Chris

I am going to use Premier Elements to make a slideshow from photos.  I am new to Premier. I have 2 questions.Can I add a few words of plain text to the bottom of the photos? No special effects.If this is possible, can someone give me a brief step-by-step, please.The only option I can find (Grisetti's book) is to add a new element between photos called a Title. I do not want new elements.Grisetti recommends downsizing photos before bringing them into a project. He mentions the Process Multiple Files feature in Photoshop Elements. I do not have Photoshop. Is there another application or method to do this, or should I purchase Photoshop?

Using an iMac.....If I have a video in Organizer and want to edit it in Premier How do I get it to connect?  I get the message to Install Premier from DVD or Download Trial but I already Own it.

  When I use Process Multiple Files and I point to words a Folder it only works when there are jpg files in the folder.  I want to convert over 1K+ PDF files into JPG files.  Can I use this product and it's functionality to do this?  Especially, can I do it in a Batch mode?  Next month I may need to convert 2K+ PDF files over to jpg files and it would be good to use this product to create the jpg files for me.  Again, I need it to run in a Batch mode with no UI, once I set it up.  Can anyone assist me in letteing me know if this can be done?  Thanx in advance.Jerry
